could not get that one to go lot of contact and he'll go to the line for two foul and to the surprise of many the Oklahoma City thunder brt made the 2023 playing tournament yeah obviously they didn't have their top draft choice playing because of injury and a lot of teams out there and the general public felt this team is really going to struggle this year but they made the play in tournament and showed a lot of improvement so the future bride in OKC that free throw good from Butler we think of Jimmy Butler his work ethic comes to mind notably how hungry he is to win at all costs and so Butler Nails both of them at this point you might as well go ahead and chalk up the points when he's at the free throw line pretty much automatic a deep three from Jordan and another three for Golden State man he's got that touch working tonight shooting the ball very well to start this one shots good by Butler good de better o Butler's got an uncanny ability to just outwork and outd his opponent Jordan the pass to Griffin the shots good from Paul uncovered at The Rim finding cracks in the defense here early on just really smart basketball and exploiting whatever holes that he's seeing right now in in terms of scoring off of turnovers that that became the identity I mean they really look to disrupt and cause problems defensively and Bo they take advantage on the other end now Butler his last outing he had eight [Applause] points score the basket his second of two attempts Butler attacking in close such a gifted score Paul passes to Jord [Applause] got it for his fourth field goal of the game on just five shots and their post play has been really solid right off the bat kid passes to [Applause] Hero hooked away the kick out to Abdul Jabar stolen by Noah and the basket is good got a chance here for one more at the wide foul well if it ain't broke don't fix it they keep getting in the paint and continue to score consistently and a moment to look at the scoring approach in terms of where the points are coming from for the Warriors so far they've moved the ball well leading to open high percentage looks lots of assists in this one well I want to add also the damage that has been done on the inside it's a lot of rubble in there but they're continuing to go right at the defense now hero last game we saw him score 14 here's kid 18 ft away and he knocks it down well looking into the gaps of the defense there he's not going to miss many of those when he gets to that range and here's Jordan outside it's Kareem Abdul Jabar with the rebound under trailing by seven and it's Slamm dunk by Butler and you can see kids ability to pass truly is a gift when one of his teammates is open he is quick to get them the ball in Rhythm now here's Paul schemey at 13 pass to Bowen takes the three and a great assist by Paul as that one goes in and the story here Kevin early on is how well they shot the basketball and the officials have called the illegal right there right here's a look at Stats but great showing for him last season he was around 23 points a game five assists and six rebounds and so much of what they do on offense depends on how he plays well he attracts serious attention from the defense and that really does open up the backside for a lot of his teammates to take full advantage hero he's off on that one Jordan with some nice deep Warriors leading by [Applause] eight Paul passes to Griffin we've got 123 left in the first quarter yes that goes in Bowen's got five points so far defensively giving up far too many open Rhythm looks Butler [Applause] attacking and a lot of contact on that one so he'll shoot two here it's going to be on Blake Griffin you look how Jimmy Butler stays committed on that play ready to overcome the defender at still take the shot well Thunder shooting their third and fourth free throw attempts of the game and last season when they got themselves to the line they usually came through as a team up around 81% and he knocks down the first one Brandon Ingram he's checked in for Golden State [Applause] and so Butler Nails both of them and it's Paul with the ball for Golden State eight-point game this game coming on the heels of their win against the Kings well you look at the points they produced in that game great adjustments on the offensive end yeah never stopped working one of those games where just everybody was making shots continual flow a very professional win you can't just stop when there's a pick set up got to fight over it as a Defender that's one that the coaches will watch tomorrow with that player you hate to see him give up in that situation that's a two from Paul it's rebounded by Kareem Abdul jabon maybe not the best shot against that kind of Defense but he still has the ability to knock that kind of shot down takes the turn around J two points that one goes Butler's got 12 and he's clearly let the way offensively the question is can they ride him and get back into it the offensive rebound the basket counts and one he'll go to the line with a chance to make it a three-point play well Noah's just Relentless down there you're going to have to work all game long when he's on the floor and this is his first trip to the line tonight the Lan the Lan shot that's good from joem Noah Noah can still be a leader out there a high energy guy who demands the best out of his teammates shs over Ingram and the last second attempt does not go in for it and so it's the Golden State Warriors aead by nine as the quarter comes to a close they're pounding the ball inside and I mean yeah I mean more certainty on how long the broadcast will go right Kevin and protecting players from the heavy minute loads that can result from those games that go into multiple overtimes so I clock and oh boy a lot of contact there but he gets the call and will shoot two and the defining trait of the greatest of superstars Jordan makes the players around him better mentally in terms of bringing it up for the Golden State Warriors next up on the schedule the Grizzlies that'll be a home game and it's Jordan slamming it down you won't find a much more entertaining sight I'd call that Slam Dunk Contest level awesome rewind courtesy of the at& 5G slam cam time called here the Thunder decide to talk it over and they're allowing too many points in the paint coach is going to let him hear about it yeah coach knows that they know that in the time out they're going to hear about it make the adjustment Terry P he's checked in for the Warriors and while we can here's a look at the teams that had the fastest hands in the league last season the thunder in fourth you could tell by watching them how much they enjoyed playing defense they seem to have an endless reserve of energy flying around and and pressuring the basketball here's kid misses and he wants that one back plus eight in the rebound differential one more reason why they're in trouble and that gri with the dunp yeah and this is what happens when you have a scorer like Jordan on the floor he attracts all that attention defensively leaving guys wide open now here's kid 10 points for him hero on the wing good in the assist to kid kid's got his third assist on the N yeah that first quarter was a bit shaky good to see a player who doesn't let a slow start get to him go catch against Abdul Jabar here's Jordan Bowen the pass to Griffin outside for Jordan and another three for Golden State it's first triple of the second quarter third of the game under trailing by [Music] 13 it's a floater kid gets the bucket he's been terrific tonight and With a Little Help from the other guys on the floor they might be able to turn this game around yeah the defender all over third person foul the Warriors shooting their Fifth and six free throws of the game yeah and 79% from the line as a team a season ago pretty reliable in that regard take a break take a [Applause] break and he makes the first and an excellent two-way threat quarter doesn't generate a ton of excitement but he produces across the board and the Warriors making a change here Ingram's checked in that one Falls so he hits both of them Thunder trailing by 13 kid with it out to the wing we've got 28 seconds left to play here in the second quarter six to shoot just appreciate how unselfish kid is outstanding at sharing the ball and playing for his teammates Warriors leading by 11 right outside Porter heyo right here pass to Griffin that will count oh and he just knocked down the buer Peter resourceful move there ending the period on a high note great way to end the quarter there team is pumped up and so it's Michael Jord ORD making things happen for the Warriors his production has been flowing as he's tallied 20 points W and so with this they'll end up with their second win on the year break and so they win their first game against this squad it's a two Game season series and they'll be going for the sweep the next time they face off the one player that really stands out of course in this one it was a dazzling game for Michael Jordan just knows how to fill it up and that's exactly what he did tonight nobody that
