Bill O'Reilly: Trump-Harris debate, who really lied? | 9-12-2024

[Music] you're commuting home with Catz and Cosby now here's John cats and Maes and Rita Cosby on 77 WABC um and by the way uh John joining us now we have the great Bill O'Reilly here on Kats and Cosby and Bill just also came out with a new book called confronting the presidents uh Bill what do you make of what John was just saying uh that CNN is claiming they claimed it almost minutes after the debate it was it was literally almost within minutes they came out and here it is Europe is repeating it 33 times Trump lied essentially in kamla maybe once there's no question that ABC News uh set out to make Donald Trump look bad if any questions were leaked to the uh campaign to the Harris campaign that's a crime that's a violation of election law the Federal Election Commission would have to um put the FBI on it and that could lead to criminal proceedings you just can't do that so I don't know I I doubt that is uh happening I don't think it is because uh ABC News wouldn't be that stupid uh when it happened um at CNN it was a it was a lone employee who did it and she no longer works for CNN you remember that story yeah you know where she is now at ABC okay yeah Donna Brazil ABC Don Brazil is at ABC television after what you did at CNN Sunday but look the Trump should have known that he was walking into that and it's an easy thing to diffuse so CNN is putting me on tonight they broke the black ball that ABC ABC and CBS has against non-liberal authors so those networks will not book you if you are not a liberal Jan Paulie CBS Morning News forget it okay across the board Good Morning America today I used to do all of those shows they have imposed a Hardline black ball not only on their news programs but on their nightly entertainment programs Fallon and um and Cole bear um so you me you mean they don't believe in democracy no there listen this is as bad as the McCarthyism in the 50s so confronting the presidents will you know if the New York Times is honest we sold 75,000 copies in two days wow um it's got to open at number one and you're telling me that with my television and radio ratings you're not going to book me on your program what what is the reason for that so CNN is putting me on 11: pm tonight Laura coats um I'm taping it ahead so I can do um your show I was going to say you're going to be on with me tonight uh at 10:30 can't wait CNN look I can't do it live because I'm doing Rita Cosby and that's much bigger Cosby Show on WABC so I'm doing both um but anyone who doesn't think and this includes former president Trump that you're going to walk into that forum and they're going to give you a fair Shake you're crazy um Now CNN might be ambushing me tonight but I'm ready for whatever they throw at me okay I'm not walking in there like uh Little Bo Peep however um and Trump should have known he was goingon to get bagged but it's not hard to point that out live time in front of the audience he could have easily said hey that's a softball or hey that's not true are you going to fact check her David but he didn't do that he was too busy at defending himself you never go on the defensive okay you you go on offense and I was surprised that Donald Trump did not do that because usually he does and that got him in all kinds of trouble on Tuesday night so do you think um what might have happened bill is that his advisors I mean everyone's been telling him stay contained don't erupt don't react and maybe he overcompensated even if his Instinct was to do the typical sort of fight back but maybe he's thinking God I'm told a million times I can't fight back you think he was sort of fighting amongst himself well he went after the Asian migrants for eating the cocker spaniels I mean you know that I understand listen I love cocker spaniels you want to Donald that's not the Donald Trump I know I don't think that that he thought about the repercussions of what he was doing and now he says he's not going to do a third debate which is a mistake so in confronting the presidents we tell you how Ronald Reagan got waxed by Walter Mondale in 1984 in the first debate it was it was stunning and I used the clip on Common Sense on WABC uh I showed you what happened to Reagan but Reagan came back in the second debate and wiped out Mandel and then went on to a landslide Victory if I'm Trump I'm going back for round two because he has the stronger argument because KLA Harris evaded every single direct question there wasn't one question that woman answered and you can point that out every time she evades Trump I just want to point out for the 85th time that the vice president didn't answer the question you can do that within the rules when it's your turn to speak yeah I agree it should have been spotlighted Governor Patterson you have a question for Bill O'Reilly yeah bill I was really kind of surprised myself because uh they did jump in a couple of times to uh correct president Trump when they felt that uh it was inaccurate I was surprised that he didn't as you as you just said before say well wait a minute I you all have checked my facts three or four times you haven't checked hers once the other thing because he's you've been you've debated your whole life Governor when somebody comes at you with something your reply is if it's not fair to say that's not fair right bill I remember I remember debating once when I was first running for office and the uh there were two other candidates and everybody in the room was for those other candidates so they must have asked me a million questions and finally I said and now you know why I'm going to win and these two people uh within a year you won't even remember their names in other words you have to fight back and do it in a way that you have humiliated the process that was intended to humiliate you excellent analysis if Trump does another debate and I think he might he says today he's not going to do it but he might he has to be the narrator of the debate he has to explain to the people what's happening livetime real time and you can do that within the rules of the debate so when they slapped up the softball to KLA Harris oh oh president Trump says he's going to put people in jail if he's elected again uh for fraud on the election 2020 and then Harris of course just whales on Trump right where you come back to Trump and you go hey David am I gonna get a big softball like that you got something for me that's what you have to do when the fix is in and you can actually use that phrase you can go you know it seems like the fix is in here with you ABC people that gets you worldwide attention blows the whole thing up it's not hard and I I just don't know knowing Trump for so long and knowing how well he did in the 16 when he was up against 35 Republicans who looked at him with disdain he wiped them out and he couldn't handle her I was surprised it's an by the way I agree and I think of n Gingrich we talked about this yesterday nuke INR where he masterfully when he was in the primaries really turned it on uh the moderator it was J uh John King of CNN at the time and and and and he handily won the debate he went after him he said how dare you ask me that ridiculous question um Ed Cox look uh bill there's winning the debate and there's also winning the votes last night uh Trump won the votes and I just don't see because she avoided all the big questions I don't think that that he wants to give her another opportunity to actually answer those and craft answers to those big questions why give her that big platform and she can't answer him she can't answer hey for three and a half years you and your boss did nothing on the border why hey do you have any restriction you would like to place on abortion Annie can you answer yes or no she can't answer them you're not dealing with somebody here look when you guys read confronting the presidents this is actually funny the Harris campaign is modeled on the campaign of Warren Harding in 1920 who refused the campaign wouldn't leave his house in Marian Ohio sat on the porch and W in a landslide because Americans were fed up with woodro Wilson and the Democrats that's the strategy KLA Harris has no nothing she's got no answers they ask her about Gaza she goes we're working around the clock on what give me anything she can't if I'm Trump I'm pounding the door to debate her again yeah I agree think he would be better if he's listening to us he would be better if he takes the advice of you're the narrator now step up Bill I 100% agree um I know you got a busy day you got a lot of books to do and everything else and you're going to be joining me again at 10:30 and we'll be watching on CNN too wow yeah I just want you to know re I booted
