Intro Quest bran here with Stanford head football coach Troy Taylor what is your perception and what do you feel like your team's perception is of ACC football just a a great conference you Perception of ACC Football know obviously a lot of traditions and and winning programs with great coaches and great venues our guys are really excited we know it's going to be a huge Challenge and um but you know that's what you do this for right is to have those great opportunities and go into new places that a lot of us have never been before and um playing against some some really rich Traditions we're we're excited What stadiums have you heard about What stadiums have you heard your players talking about that they're excited to play in actually all three of the ones we play this year on the road Syracuse Clemson North Carolina State I heard are all really loud so um we're excited about that I'm sure they'll be primed to welcome us to the AC conference and uh it'll be fun now how Travel would you handle uh the travel with this team when you do have to make those long cross country trips like what's the method of Madness with that and our guys looking forward to that yeah great question uh you know we're going to leave a day early so we're going to get out we're going to practice here and then leave on Thursday obviously worth three hours be behind you all so um when we get there you know our guys won't quite be ready to to go to sleep so we think getting there the night before will help us and then we'll be able to acclimate all day on Friday you know if we play on Saturday and then play the game on Saturday the beneficial thing we do have is we do pick up 3 hours flying back so has that changed the way you Recruiting approach the portal the way you approach recruiting has it helped I think it's helped in recruiting in terms of that we we recruit that area so heavily on that Coast so just knowing that we're going to be out there three games every year I think helps with parents and recruiting uh that they can occasionally drive to a game so I think that's that that's the biggest part um I was really excited when we enter the ACC just cuz I know that's such a a big part of recruiting we only signed five kids from California last year so we got to go all over the country to get our guys and that's such a rich part of the country that uh we're excited about it what are some of the Traditions things that for somebody from out this way who may not be familiar with Stanford football what are some of the things that you could tell them Traditions wise and uh or as far as tradition goes that Stanford is going to bring to the table yeah a great tradition here at Stanford football I mean not not that long ago um you know you can remember West at Stanford was kind of the dominant team in the west coast we're not that far removed over the past 10 years uh we've had 48 NFL draft picks which is the most on the west coast most people don't realize that um so um and then we've got a predominant um you know NFL alumni of guys that have played and we do a great job recruiting we can draw the best student athletes from all over the country uh and our guys are super competitive so we're excited we know we have a lot to to prove uh in this new conference uh we're in our second year as a staff we're super excited uh and and and realize that it's an unbelievable conference from top to bottom and we got a work cutout for us but we're excited about it
