A LOOK LIVE OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW AND YES, WE STILL HAVE SOME LIGHT RAIN FALLING. IT IS COOL AT 66 DEGREES. YOUR HEADLINES ARE THIS. EXPECT SOME DOWNPOURS TOMORROW. IT'S GOING TO FEEL SIMILAR TODAY, BUT RAIN THAT FALLS WILL BE EVEN HEAVIER FOR A LOT OF US. A RAIN ALERT ON FRIDAY COURTESY OF DEBBY AND THE WEEKEND LOOKS REALLY GOOD. AGAIN, THIS IS COURTESY OF DEBBY, FLOODING RAIN MOST LIKELY NORTHWEST OF THE CITY, CLOSER TO THE CENTER OF DEBBY >>>. WE ALSO ANTICIPATE GUSTING WINDS, ESPECIALLY IN THE EVENING HOURS, AND WE CAN'T RULE OUT AN ISOLATED TORNADO. AS FAR AS TODAY WENT, MOST OF US FELT DAMP ALL DAY LONG. WE GOT AN OCCASIONAL SHOWER THAT BROUGHT SOME SLIGHTLY HEAVIER RAIN BUT FOR WESTERN NEW JERSEY SPECIFICALLY HUNTINGTON COUNTY, THEY HAD TRAINING RAIN THIS EVENING THAT HAS AN ESTIMATED TOTAL OF 2.6 INCHES. THIS GIVES YOU A SENSE OF WHAT BECOMES POSSIBLE WITH THIS TROPICAL MOISTURE IN PLACE OF THAT ON TOP OF ALL THE RAIN THAT FELL YESTERDAY RIGHT NOW WE HAVE SHOWERS PRETTY WIDESPREAD HERE, NORTH AND WEST OF THE CITY THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS, MORE SHOWERS TO COME. TOMORROW, MORE SHOWERS SEPARATING MORE TORRENTIAL RAIN AND THEN IT IS ABOUT DEBBIE ON FRIDAY. DEBBIE NOW IS STILL TO OURSELVES, STILL OVER OPEN WATER BUT SOON WILL BE BACK OVERLAND AND BRING ITS IMPACT HERE FRIDAY, ESPECIALLY FRIDAY AFTERNOON SO HOUR BY HOUR LET'S SHOW YOU WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT STARTING OFF TOMORROW MORNING 7:30. NOTHING LIKE WE SAW YESTERDAY BUT SOME SPOTS COULD SEE SOME PROBLEMS THEN OVERNIGHT THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY THINGS SETTLE DOWN MOMENTARILY. FRIDAY MORNING STARTS OFF OKAY, CLOUDY SKIES, SOME SHOWERS. HERE WE ARE FRIDAY AFTERNOON, THE BRUNT OF DEBBIE'S PASSING TO OUR WEST WHAT WE GET THIS TAIL END OF THE SYSTEM FROM 3:00 UNTIL ROUGHLY MIDNIGHT. AT 7:00, THE LINE IS MOVING OVER THE CITY AND AS WE APPROACHED MIDNIGHT IT'S HEADING OFF EAST. SKIES CLEAR FOR SATURDAY BUT BETWEEN THAT WINDOW WE ARE GOING TO GET A LOT OF RAIN, ONE TO 3 INCHES FOR MANY OF US WITH BIGGER TOTALS POSSIBLE, FLASH FLOODING RISK NORTH AND WEST OF THE CITY. WIND GUST WILL BE PICKING UP THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING POSSIBLY MAXING OUT 40 TO 50 MPH AS THAT WELL-DEFINED LINE PUSHES THROUGH. THIS WILL HAVE IMPACTS ON THE SEAS, AS WELL. WE EXPECT ROUGH SEAS FRIDAY, HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS, WAVES AT 7 FEET. TOMORROW, 74 DEGREES, PRETTY DECENT OVERALL COMPARED TO FRIDAY. FRIDAY IS LOOKING A BIT MORE DICEY, HENCE THE RED ALERT.
