F1 Monza Friday Controversial Debuts to Red Bull outside the top 10

and welcome back to the hot we are talking fp1 and fp2 a Friday that was a fairly interesting a bit of a controversy Kimmy anelli debut did not go to plan if he was watching it um stay tuned if you want to know what happened we've got all the sect times who is looking good and who is not particularly looking good and a bit more speak to you in a bit [Music] so Kimmy an tonelli yes before we get into our fp1 and fp2 times let's have a look shall we on uh what happened if I'm honest the uh whoops whoops a dayed so here is Kimmy here in Monza he had just done the fastest time and he was to be fair he was going gang busters he was going very very fast but here coming into the parabolica he kind of does what the safety because of turns and he just swaps it sideways and goes Whoops a Daisy um there we go again on the power into the parabolica it's all looking good and then suddenly as just as he HPS the Apex he smacks it into the wall which uh caused I think George Russell to potentially be about 10 minutes late there it is they've almost captured here there I mean I mean he's already lost it coming into here we go so let's he's he's already lost they coming into the parabolica potentially taking too much speed turning too much bearing in mind it is fp1 and the track is going to be green as I say green meaning there's not that much grip on the actual track so driv always have to be careful and fp1 is never really a representative session in terms of who is going to be fastest for the rest of the weekend as you can see he's lost it there and it just swaps around and at this point you're passenger there's absolutely nothing you can do and yeah he swaps it around and well there we go he's heading to the scene of the accident the scene of the incident to be fair tot wolf came out here came out and said no it's okay it's okay K me which is which is really really nice however this is the thing should you be doing this kind of thing should you be crashing in your first fp1 we didn't hear it we didn't see it from OE bman I think the stappen ended up um having a failure in Japan in 2014 I think 2014 or 2015 wasn't it 2014 in his first practice session but you don't normally see that and this is meant to be one of the best drivers now accidents happen all the time however this is top level of Motorsport so there's two sides Martin brondo I'm going to share with you on planet F1 he has um according to Planet F1 he slammed Kimmy Antonelli's approach with a triple impact claimed from the Monza crash xf1 driver brond said Kimmy Anthony needed to play himself excuse me um in somewhat more carefully after his fb1 crash on his debut and as we know he's yet to be um he's yet to be named as the mer Hamilton's Mercedes replacement we all think it's the going to be the worst kept secret and this crash though happened just 10 minutes in George Russell's car into um into into the session um he he lost the r as we know going to the parabolica sending him slamming him now brundle um in his opinion Antonelli needed to exercise greater caution and build his way into the session I kind of agree he said it was the last thing him he or the team needed yes he said they haven't got any data they were running new parts on the car the car is damaged and his confidence will be damaged said he want to present him as a star of the future he said he pushed very very hard early on he just gone purple in the second sector slightly fractionally ahead of Lewis and he was expecting too much too soon obviously got in there and there was not enough grip for the speed he was carrying as we've seen it's such a shame I admire his confidence but he needed to play himself in somewhat more than that uh yeah I I kind of like really if I'm honest I kind of like tend to agree yeah yeah um here's your practice times then this will be uh believe fp1 where the staer ended up being fastest in the one 21.6 and it was a clar second about a couple of tenths off Norris SS um and botas were your top were your top five botas not doing too bad in fifth bear in mind they also have the Ferrari engine and the Ferrari suspension I think the Ferrari gearbox uh and then uh you had pastri Hamilton albor um Perez and Alonzo that rounded up your top 10 all within in 6 639 of a second then we had magson this guy ended up sadly crashing in fb2 uh Ricardo is no gazley z stro um kapani I've got to get his name wrong but the new Williams driver yeah fairly solid didn't he went off didn't he had a bit of a bit of a fumble but not as bad as Kimmy Antonelli and he obviously he had fp2 um hulkenberg and um um yeah rounding up rounding up so fb2 this this is the session that you know is going to be AIT better I mean you can already see they're in the 120s and in the 120s was a certain Lewis Hamilton in second was Lando Norris just 3,000 off uh third was Carlos SS uh in the FR just a tenth off piastri fourth the cler fifth Russell sixth um Russell about three and a half tenths off his teammate bear in mind that he only had this was his first session Hackenberg in seventh I said he might spring surprise Ricardo I think that's going to give him a lot of confidence Ricardo in eth just over the half second mark off Alonzo 9th stroll 10th um Alonzo ahead of stroll but not by much stroll not doing too bad botas in 11 still looking not too bad could it be could State get their first points of the F1 season fingers crossed um and then we got Magnuson albor ven Perez sonoda the new Williams driver who I can't pronounce gazley okon and Z so it wasn't too it wasn't too bad for them now here was this is quite interesting here if I can there we go that is the sector rankings rankings for fp2 I would I don't think there's too much Point showing fp1 but as you can see um in terms of like their best sector times it is McLaren McLaren all over really if I'm honest uh follow closely by Ferrari now I I see you here Red Bull all the way down um your Red Bull fans don't be nervous your Red Bull dislikers don't get too excited because Rebel didn't have um you know they didn't really go for a qualifying know proper lap uh but ban was complaining about the front of the car anyway we've got mlen um uh 11,000 faster than RB again McLaren in sector two the fastest car this time second to mer you know in second was Mercedes sector 3 is all about Mercedes just by under a tenth and then we've got the ideal lap for McLaren um an 80.4 A6 or M minute 20486 and then Mercedes just a couple of tenth shy there were concerns however about the Mercedes um that's a comparison from last year about the Mercedes practice times their race times the issue is we don't know what fuel they're on and we're going to have to wait uh probably until until after where all the drivers start giving their opinion on stuff but I wanted just to show you this which I thought was quite interesting lap time comparison compared to last year so Red Bull are plus 70 however big caveat Red Bull didn't go for a fast time but it's Mercedes that have almost gained 1.5 5 Seconds 1.4 38 then it's RB 1.4 H over a second saber over a second then Alpin 8/10 uh mown only 610 of a second U bear in mind though they entered Italy in a fairly Strong place Ferrari half a second up and these are the people that were on poll last year um Williams just shy 410th and it's Red Bull but once again Red Bull yet take that with a massive pinch assault because we are going we're going to see Red Bull come good absolutely we are I don't think I'm not really too fusted by that but the biggest story here Kimmy Kimmy's controversial DAV I've named it maybe that's a bit harsh but it was it was in the sense of this is the man that's going to replace leis Hamilton and he has a crash I mean yeah um in his first go is he better than that absolutely he is will he uh will he show us how good he is absolutely he will I think he's due again in Mexico in a few races time so fingers cross for Kimmy anon's red debut let's call it a red debut let's forget this you know forget this forget everyone uh use that Men In Black device let's forget about that yeah and then move on Kimmy anyway
