former Los Angeles Rams owner Georgia Frontier was one of the only female owners in NFL history and her life story is a pretty unbelievable one she was married seven times and two of her husbands died well married to her her time as Rams owner was filled with Mysteries connections to organized crime rumors that she'd murdered her husband and one of the craziest Court battles in NFL history [Music] Georgia Frontier was born in St Louis in 1927 and the first of her seven marriages yes seven marriages happened when she was 15 it was an old then she married again at 18 but her second husband died within a year she spent her childhood and young adulthood as a traveling singer performing at Fairgrounds theaters and lounges across the US and even abroad for a while she performed as a duet with her mother Lucia Pamela who was a semi- famous singer in her own right in a group named the Pamela sisters during her 20s and 30s Georgia also had stin as a chorus girl in Las Vegas a talk show host in Miami and as a correspondent for the Today's Show during this time she married and divorced three more times marking five marriages by the time she was 31 but everything changed when she met Carol Rosenblum the multi- multi-millionaire owner of the Baltimore Colts NFL team Rosen Bloom was one of the most corrupt Sports owners in history he was repeatedly accused of betting massive amounts of money on NFL games when he was an owner he had a ton of links to underworld crime figures and even owned mob-connected cinos in the Bahamas they met at a party held by Joe Kennedy JFK's dad who Georgia claimed was a fan of hers and they were supposedly introduced by Meer Lansky who was one of the most notorious gangsters of this era they were married for 12 years during this time Rosen Bloom traded ownership of the Colts for ownership of the LA Rams and they moved to Los Angeles in 1979 Rosen Bloom drowned while swimming in the ocean and Georgia inherited ownership of the Rams and a fortune valued at upwards of $500 million and there have long been rumors that Georgia was behind his [Music] death on April 2nd 1979 Carol Rosen Bloom went for a walk alone on the Florida coastline decided to go swimming and drown in the stormy ocean waters that's the official story at least but me including Rosen Bloom's son Steve thought he was murdered with all these circumstances and questions still in my mind U I don't believe that his death was accidental the only witness to his death was a French Canadian man who claimed he saw a black object swimming away from Rosen blum's body as he was going out there he saw a black object in the water when he saw this object it was going in the opposite direction of the waves and it sort of crossed over he only saw it once as if it went underwater submerged and never came up again over the years people have speculated that this black object was a scuba diver who held Rosen Bloom underwater I think he was more or less murdered he was held underwater till he drowned Rosen Bloom was known as a very accomplished cautious swimmer who refused to get into the water unless someone was accompanying him which made it all the more confusing that he went swimming alone while on his walk especially because the ocean waters were described as extremely stormy that day his son Steve said if he did go into the water alone that day he was breaking the habit of a lifetime George's behavior in the days after her husband's death was described as not exactly that of a grieving Widow which is one of the main reasons why some have speculated about her involvement she was an hour late to Rosen Bloom's funeral and was allegedly already talking about how to divide up his estate during the funeral she was also an hour late to his wake a week later she'd planned to wake herself and it was described as a really strange event that was almost like a circus with comedians telling jokes a roll call of aist celebrities and a 12-piece orchestra playing music Howard coell was a close friend of Rosen blooms and described the Jolly circus-like atmosphere of the funeral as bewildering in questionable taste and an Excursion into unreality Steve Rosenblum was so disgusted at how much of a party his father's memorial service was that he left early George's funeral for my father could have played in Vegas for 8 weeks he said within a year after inheriting ownership of the rank Rams Georgia fired her stepson Steve Rosenbloom who was the Rams Executive Vice President and she assumed control of the team now we already did one video on Carol Rosen Bloom's death Georgia was definitely not the only suspect Rosen Blum had a ton of links to organized crime figures and there were even rumors that he was murdered because he was fixing NFL games with members of the mob so definitely check out that video to learn more about Rosen Bloom's mysterious death but maybe the most suspicious thing about George's Behavior after her husband USB's death was that she got married again barely a year after his death marriage number seven and this marriage was caught up in multiple scandals from the [Music] start on July 21st 1980 barely a year after Cara Rosen Bloom died Georgia Rosen Bloom married Dominic Frontier and became Georgia Frontier Dominic Frontier was her personal singing coach while she was married to Rosen Bloom but their relationship was apparent apparently more than that because he also escorted her to football games Frontier had reportedly even been invited to accompany the Rosen blooms on the Fatal trip to Florida when Rosen Bloom died but Frontier had decided not to go Frontier moved into the guest house at the Rosen Bloom Mansion shortly after Rosen Bloom's death and married Georgia within a year and he was also connected to the Mob dick crane head of the organized crime Strike Force for the US Department of Justice said Dominic Frontier was connected absolutely connected Ed we knew that he had an open file at all times shortly after the marriage the Frontiers got cut up in a major Scandal and Georgia nearly went to jail and had to sell the team they were allocated over 10,000 tickets for the 1980 Super Bowl and thousands of those tickets ended up on the black market where they were being scalped for nearly 10 times Face Value the Frontiers didn't report this income on their tax returns which was nearly a million dollar in unreported income Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis exposed this scheme he wanted to move his team to Los Angeles but the move was blocked by Georgia Frontier who wanted the LA market for herself this resulted in a nasty Court battle in which Davis's lawyer threatened the Frontiers if you don't let Al move to Los Angeles we're going to expose the ticket scalping scheme and send Georgia to jail this lawsuit was absolutely wild and it even threatened to bring down NFL commissioner Pete Roselle who Davis claimed was also involved but the craziest part was that there were mob connections all over the place Harold Gyver was an executive with the rank who claimed he was threatened with physical harm by two quote unquote mob Heavies if he told authorities what he knew about the ticket scalping scheme one of the men who threatened Guyver was Ray Cohen a mobster who'd worked with Dominic Frontier to sell the tickets on the black market Cohen was later given immunity to testify against Frontier but federal agents uncovered a plot to murder Cohen before he could testify an undercover agent learned that a $5,000 Bounty was placed on Cohen's head by a group of people including Daniel Whitman the co-owner of serrano which was one of the hottest restaurants in Hollywood at the time Whitman was convicted of plotting the murder and sent to prison and although Dominic Frontier was never charged with any involvement in the ray Cohen murder plot it's definitely curious timing that this bounty was placed on Cohen's head just before he was scheduled to testify against Frontier after surviving the plot Cohen testified that Dominic Frontier had given him thousands of Super Bowl tickets to scalp which had made the men over half a million doar Dominic was convicted of tax fraud and spent 9 months in prison during the trial Geor claimed she didn't know how the Super Bowl tickets she'd been allocated had ended up on the black market when he was asked under oath if Georgia knew about the ticket scalping scheme Dominic invoked spousal privilege and refused to answer the question and the trial nearly resulted in a mistrial when Frontier was accused of sending signals to Georgia while she was testifying jurors noticed that Georgia would look at Dominic when she was being questioned and Dominic would subtly nod or shake his head before she answered after he served his time in prison Dominic and Georgia divorced and he was given a pday reported as high as $4 million most believe this was his reward for taking the fall on the ticket scalping scheme and keeping Georgia out of prison oh and by the way Georgia Frontier was big into the occult she showed up late to one interview because she said she was talking to her dead husband's Spirit though she didn't specify which of her seven husbands she was talking to Dick verile who later became the Rams coach described a meeting with Georgia before the 1999 season I didn't think it would be a world championship team vermel said and Georgia showed me these astrology charts and explained to me that this was going to be our year she was also involved with hypnosis Steve Rosenblum spoke of how Georgia would regularly attend hypnosis sessions with his father and he even speculated that the reason his father went swimming alone on that fateful day he drowned was because Georgia had hypnotized him despite all these controversies Georgia persevered and in 1995 she moved the Rams to her hometown of St Louis leaving the LA Market without an NFL team which made her Public Enemy Number One in Los Angeles in 2000 the Rams won the Super Bowl and in 2008 she passed away at the age of 80
