well I I want to be careful because there are uh men and women there that are mourning our veterans on that sacred ground and so what's that issue is were they used by the president and so the short answer is they'll say no because they invited him but he stretched the bounds of normaly once again by bringing a film crew to those sacred grounds and there's no uh excuse for that and it's evident that there were people there that respect the nature of Arlington National Cemetery that we're trying to stop them hey everyone welcome back to the channel today we have a Hot Topic that's been stirring up a lot of controversy it involves a recent incident at Arlington National Cemetery comments from Senator JD Vance and a deeper dive into former president Donald Trump's actions and policies buckle up because this is quite a ride so let's jump right into it recently Senator JD Vance made headlines with a fiery comment directed at vice president kamla Harris when asked about a reported altercation between Trump's team and an official at Arlington National Cemetery Vance didn't hold back he told Harris and I quote go to hell K Harris is disgraceful we're going to talk about a story out of those 13 Brave innocent Americans who lost their lives it's that kamla Harris is so asleep at the wheel that she won't even do an investigation into what happened and she wants to yell at Donald Trump because he showed showed up she can she can go to hell now here's the backstory NPR reported that Trump's team attempted to film in section 60 of Arlington National Cemetery where service members from recent conflicts are laid to rest this area is known for its solemnity and strict no filming policy according to reports this attempt led to a physical altercation with Cemetery officials Senator Vance defended the filming arguing that Trump was there to honor the families of the 13 US service members who were killed in the Cabell airport bombing during the withdrawal from Afghanistan Vance criticized Harris for what he sees as her failure to investigate the incident properly and called her response disgraceful Trump had a private meeting with some of the family members of those service members and then went to section 60 where uh Veterans of recent conflicts are buried with some of those families it is there where it was made clear to the Trump team that there is not uh the idea of Photography or any type of video was not allowed in fact it's against federal law to do any election related activities at a military burial ground Phil maddingley from CNN reported that Trump had two main stops during his visit laying wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and then a private meeting with families of the Fallen service members it was only after these official events that Trump's team tried to film in section 60 where it was clearly stated that no filming was allowed due to Federal Regulations oh tonight the Trump campaign is defending the candidate's Monday visit to Arlington National Cemetery now being criticized for politicizing America's War dead on Hallowed Ground what a horrible day it was the campaign on Tuesday posting this Tik Tock highlight video of Trump's trip showing him laying a wreath in honor of the service members killed at abig gate in Afghanistan and posing with family members among the gravestones several campaign staff posting their own content too the Trump team has pushed back hard denying any physical altercation and claiming they had approval from the families to film Chris loss co-chair of the Trump campaign described the interference as a disgrace you know at the RNC though Anthony to your point about the families with him at the cemetery we saw gold star families call him compassionate one one said he spent six hours talking with her at Bedminster so in the text of of you knowing him for a long time what do you think he really feels about veterans well I I think it's true to his nature he has an ambivalence I do believe what general Kelly said that he called people that were volunteering to defend our freedom suckers and losers he he absolutely did that the right-wing says he didn't do it Trump lies about saying that uh but there's an ambivalence there's always two sides to Mr Trump remember in Charlottesville Virginia in August of 20 2017 verifying people on both sides and then of course he denounced the rally and so he gives enough evidence to his supporters to continue to Gaslight them so he's ambivalent he's certainly there to support those people who are mourning but the flip side is down deep as evidenced by that speech he actually thinks that they're suckers and losers Arlington National Cemetery officials have kept their statement vague only confirming that an incident occurred and a report was filed they had haven't named any individuals involved or gone into further detail likely to avoid escalating the situation uh it's once again Trump going outside the Norms uh that we're used to in the United States he likes breaking those things he likes being unethical he likes being aoral these are the things he's doing he gets a lot of justification to do this by the right-wing press uh but it's very very sad and I think those poll numbers that you were mentioning earlier in the show related to Georgia and other states I think people are actually tired of this he's the old man in the race now at age 78 he's older he's slower and he's smaller in terms of the way he thinks about things uh and I think the momentum is with vice president Harris now we also heard from Anthony scaramucci former Trump White House communications director who now supports kamla Harris scaramucci weighed in on the controversy criticizing Trump for stretching the bounds of normaly by bringing a film crew to such a sacred place place he argued that this behavior is just another example of trump breaking norms and ethical boundaries scaramucci also discussed Trump's mixed record with veterans referencing past derogatory remarks attributed to him and contrasting them with his recent actions he suggested that Trump's actions like his statements about the Medal of Honor and the presidential medal of freedom reflect an ambivalence towards veterans it's actually much better because everyone gets the Congressional Medal of Honor that soldiers they're either in very bad shape because they've been hit so many times by bullets or they're dead lastly let's touch on Project 2025 this blueprint tied to Trump's potential policies has been a point of contention scaramucci wrote an op-ed warning that Trump might use this plan to build a Russia style oligarchy in the US despite Trump's denials scaramucci argues that the plan's detailed proposals and the overlap with Trump's current agenda are concerning so I want to ask you now about project 2025 as I mentioned and the major Push by the Harris campaign to tie Trump to that they've just released this ad Donald Trump's back and he's out for control I would have every right to go after them complete control I will wield that power very aggressively and he has a plan to get it detailed plans for exactly what our movement will do it's called project 2025 a 922 page blueprint to make Donald Trump the most powerful president ever you wrote a new OP ad Anthony arguing and that the headline was Trump is planning to use project 2025 to build a Russia style oligarchy in the United States now I just want to note he denies connections to the group even though many people who work for it worked for him uh but he says that he does not support the things in Project 2025 USA today's fact check says he does indeed say he doesn't support it so in that context that he sort of denounced it why are you confident why are you sure that this is a real risk that he would follow the blueprint but this is exactly what he does so his next move is he barely knows the people even though he's been flying them around on his plane he's got 85 former uh employees in the Trump Administration working for it and of course his former om director was caught on tape last week saying that Mr Trump's denunciation of project 2025 is a ruse he's really still for it I mean we got that on tape so so this is what he does this is his Mo uh but there's 920 Pages there I would ask people to look at Agenda 47 and look at the overlap between agenda 47 on his website and project 2025 now of course his people will go and try to erase some of that stuff now let's just talk about a few things he wants to eliminate 50,000 workers and
