predictions Number 5 Prediction numeroso someone we don't expect will be in the title game this is not so much of a prediction because of Big 12 media days but it just reaffirmed it to me this conference is so Topsy Turvy right now we all expect it to be Utah in Kansas State that's what I picked but guess what I'm probably wrong you're probably wrong we're all probably wrong six different teams have won this conference over the last few years a bunch of different teams have played the title game that means that if history continues someone we don't expect a West Virginia a UCF a Texas Tech a TCU will be in that title game now probably against somebody that we expect like a Utah a Kansas or a Kansas state or maybe even Oklahoma State don't freak out cuz I didn't say your name guys but that uh is going to happen because that's what the big 12 is and that is what makes this conference so fun number four Josh Number 4 Prediction Hoover will have a big year I think this guy kind of got thrown into the ringer last year they had a quarterback controversy TCU didn't have their culture right according to Sunny Dykes and sunny dyes Sayang his Praises I actually talked about this in the same spot yesterday on the top five at number four I think Josh Hoover is going to have a big year when you put Kendall br's offense together with sunny diyes and him saying he's one of the best Garrett that was right one of the best he's ever coached yeah one of the best he's ever coached one of the best he's ever coached and sunny di coached some guys you know whether as a position coach a coordinator or as a head coach so watch out Josh Hoover is going to have a big year number three eventually Number 3 Prediction West Virginia will finish towards the top of the league Neil Brown we did not get to talk to him which really bums me out because I wanted to get a gaug on it but I've gone back and watched he still has that same chip on his shoulder about last year and because he's heard one of the things I talked about in the bll and Bard material segment on Monday or Tuesday was Tuesday on the top five was okay he won nine games prove it's not a fluke uh I don't Neil Brown doesn't like hearing that word he he knows it wasn't a fluke you should know it wasn't a fluke and he's out to prove it to you this year look they've got one of the more exciting quarterbacks in the league and Garrett green the guy can make plays they've got a really solid running game they've got a really solid offensive line their defense will be good they've got Playmakers at at wide receiver there's no reason to think that this team can't do do something but again really hard to predict but I'm predicting West Virginia and Garrett green because of his playmaking ability uh the same way look it would be foolish of me to go all in on Avery Johnson like I have and then not look over at Garrett green and see lot of the same traits right there and again uh world's number one outside of Manhattan Kansas Avery Johnson fan right here like I'm I'm big on him and you know Garrett green kind of kind of getting on that train too he's he's got the potential to be very fun to watch he's been better year-over-year we'll see what happens in year three for him up in the mountains number two Baylor makes a bowl game six Number 2 Prediction wins very doable Dave Randa calling defensive plays Jake spavital calling offensive plays look I think they still have a waste to go talent-wise but I think with dquan Fen who I believe will ultimately be the quarterback and sorya Robertson in a system that fits him I think that they've got enough on offense to make plays along the front still need some building but Dave Randa calling the defense will make that work a lot better uh it will allow Matt palage to be much more of a position coach of which he is a lead at Matt palage first years as the so DC wasn't ready for that but you know how I know he will be ready for it he's still on the staff and Dave Randa believes that he will be in look if there's one thing that we know about Dave Randa is he is one of the elite defensive coordinators in the history of college football the history of college football his Wisconsin and LSU defenses are among the best ever his first year like where he was probably maybe a little bit more involved is B defense took a step forward with his Concepts and Ron Roberts calling it now David Randa takes that back over we saw a bit of a different Dave at media days and on Southwest flight 583 from Las Vegas to Austin but there's a little bit of difference there he knows he knows the score and he's a smart guy now I'm not telling you Baylor's going to be in the title game or anything like that but six or seven wins I think is very doable for this team especially given their early schedule if they can go four and two through the first six then which I think is very reasonable if they go four and two through the first six then they just got to find two the rest of the way that was kind of what they had to do last year and they couldn't do it and then once they started out so poorly it was just the wheels never that the wheels didn't come off the wheels never got put on uh on the on the Baylor bus last year number one the Big 12 will have a Heisman Number 1 Prediction candidate I'm going to list off some people for you and um Garrett stop stop me if I get to one that's unrealistic all right olly Gordon Taj Brooks Devin Neil Jaylen Daniels cam Rising um Garrett green Avery Johnson shadur Sanders shadur Sanders Travis Hunter uh golly uh Noah faf T McMillan you know okay list goes I can keep going I can absolutely keep going I'll even throw out some dark horses out there Micah Bernard Utah going to get a ton of carries might score a ton of touchdowns this year um you know uh I mean KJ Jefferson canj Jefferson and G like the last time Gus Maan had a quarterback built like that with that skill set what did that quarterback do he won the Heisman Trophy it was Cam Newton the Big 12 will have a Heisman candidate and by Heisman candidate I'm in their ass is in a chair at the heisen trust in New York City in December they will have one mark my words and if not I'll be a monkey's uncle I don't even know what that means such an old saying but whatever the Big 12 will have a Heisman candidate I'll do this for all the leagues but since we're Fresh Off Big 12 media days guess what next week going to be SEC heavy and as you know how I feel about the SEC will all be totally complimentary I will suckle at the tee heat
