THE WEEKEND THAT WILL CONTINUE. LEAVE BEFORE NOON OR AFTER 7:00. BUT RAIN CAN COMPLICATE THINGS. >> SURE CAN. >> WHAT DO WE HAVE IN STORE FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND? >> YOU CAN SEE BEHIND ME IT IS KNOTT LOOKING THAT GREAT. IF YOU NOTICED, GAS PRICES ARE PROBABLY LIKE 40, 50 CENTS LOWER THAN LAST YEAR AT THIS TIME. THAT WAS GOOD. I PAID UNDER $3 TO GET INTO THIS WEEKEND. THAT'S NOT BAD AT ALL. YOU LOOK OUTSIDE AND YOU SEE IT'S NOT THAT PRETTY ANYWHERE AROUND THE CITY. IT IS NOT GOING TO NECESSARILY RAIN TODAY BUT IT WILL NOT BE THE BRIGHTEST OF DAYS. IT'S CLOUDY NOW WITH 71, EASTERLY WINDS AT SIX MILES PER HOUR. THAT'S NOT HELPING. RIGHT NOW WE HAVE ON WARMER FORECAST EVEN WITH THE CLOUDS. SCATTERED RAIN IS AROUND, THAT RISK IS THERE FOR SAY LATER THIS AFTERNOON THERE. COULD BE A SHOWER. TOMORROW THERE COULD BE A SHOWER. NOT MONDAY. MONDAY LOOKS TO BE A BEAUTIFUL WAY TO CLOSE OUT THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND. 73 RIGHT NOW IN THE FIVE TOWNS. ACROSS THE ISLAND, MID AND UPPER 60s ACROSS PORTIONS OF NEW JERSEY AND HUDSON VALLEY, 70s ALONG THE JERSEY SHORE. ACROSS THE NORTHEAST, THIS IS BASICALLY THE SAME IN THE UPPER 60s AND LOW 70s. IN TERMS OF TEMPERATURE CHANGE WHILE WE ARE UP HERE IN BLUE, THAT'S COOLER WEATHER. THAT NICER, COOLER, DRIER WEATHER IS COMING BACK IN IN TIME FOR YOUR MONDAY. AS WE LOOK AROUND, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO? IF IT'S MOUNTAINS NORTH AND WEST OF THE CITY, HILLY TERRAIN, IT IS AROUND 80 TODAY, 83 SUNDAY, 70s MONDAY. YOUR BEST CHANCE OF RAIN IS TODAY FOR THE NORTHERN AND WESTERN SUBURBS. YOUR BEST CHANCE FOR A SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM FOR THE SHORELINE WHETHER IT BE EASTERN LONG ISLAND OR DOWN JERSEY SHORE IS TOMORROW. THEN MONDAY FOR EVERYBODY, ENJOY SOME FANTASTIC WEATHER COMING UP ON THAT DAY FOR THE BARBECUES OR WHAT HAVE YOU. EVEN IF IT MEANS JUST BEING ON THE ROAD AND TRAVELING HOME. THAT'S REALLY ALL I WOULD THINK RIGHT NOW. YOU SEE IT IS WELL BACK TO THE NORTH AND WEST. THERE IS NOTHING THAT WILL HAPPEN DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT DOESN'T LOOK SO PRETTY OUTSIDE. THERE ARE CLOUDS COMING FROM OFF THE OCEAN. THIS IS APPROACHING BUT WATCH HOW IT WEAKENS AND FALLS APART INTO TINY PIECES AS IT MOVES THROUGH LATER TONIGHT AND INTO TOMORROW F THIS WEATHER MODEL HOLDS TRUE, THERE IS NOT GOING TO BE TOO MUCH RAIN UNTIL UNFORTUNATELY SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THEN YOU SEE THERE ARE A COUPLE SHOWERS SCATTERED AROUND WITH MAYBE A THUNDERSTORM AS WELL RIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING. CLEAR THAT OUT AND YOU'VE GOT GREAT WEATHER COMING FOR MONDAY. TODAY, A LOT MORE CLOUDINESS THAN BREAKS OF SUN. MAYBE EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE IT BREAKS UP. ABOUT 84 TODAY BUT THE HUMIDITY WILL BE FELT. IT IS DRY DURING THE DAY FOR THE MOST PART. A BEST CHANCE FOR SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM IS TONIGHT, MUGGY 72. 83 TOMORROW AFTERNOON WITH THUNDERSTORMS AROUND SCATTERED AS I SHOWED YOU.
