I'm just happy to be on a great team. I've watched this team for a while now playing against them and it seems like a great group of guys, a lot of young, hungry talent and a chance to win, which is what we all play this game for. So, just excited to contribute as best as I can, I could have gone across the country. But he said I go across the field. So it's a day I always remember and I'm just excited to start my career here with the Royals. There's a look at one of the young bright prospects as far as the Sox are concerned, jonathan Cannon, he's on for his 11th start his 13th appearance looking for his second win with an er a around 4.5. You can see the command is pretty good and his Ford arsenal is a sinker which he leans on heavily backed up by the sweeper. Michael Massey is the DH tonight , a ground ball to the right side. Nice diving stop by and he will make the play to the cover canon. Well, this was a dandy of a play. This ball looked through going through the right side, but Brooks makes the play. Cannon is right there to cover the bag. This is a fine way to start defensively that brings up Bobby Woo Junior and he will one popped up shallow left center. It will be the shortstop Lopez out there and he'll make the catch 1 to 0 past Quintino skies out into deep left center for Fletcher Dominick playing left and he grabs it about a seven pitch first innings for Cannon. He goes 12, three and Michael Walka has pitched very well against the White Sox. This year three starts with an, er, a under one stop. Nicky Lopez leads off. There's that breaking ball nicely done by Nicky Lopez into the right field corner. He's going to try for three renfroe will get it back in, but Nicky Lopez a good start to the bottom of the first inning. I don't believe one time this year, a leadoff triple for the White Sox. And our first look at miguel Vargas, the 12 pitch changeup letter high called strike three. And Vargas goes down looking in his first at bat as a member of the White Sox. Here's Luis Robert Junior. The pitch as well kicks away and a run for Lopez. It's one to nothing that was a wayward change up that bounced away from Perez. Yes, it did through this one and it caught the plate and skipped because of it to the right of Perez changeup missing inside ball four Luis Robert Junior on a Cruz with one out for andrew Vaughn. Robert is running. Salvi throws from a knee got him at second base. You could just add to that 26% rate of throwing runners out. The captain. We've seen him do it coming up on his feet. We've seen him throw out guys from his knee and that was a good example of it. Vaughn swings and misses and a change up strike three second strikeout of the inning for Michael W and that brings an end to the bottom of the first throws at first with two outs and Adam Frazier comes to the plate 32 again and there's a line drive to right center, it's dipping and it's hot sliding catch by Luis Robert Junior. That's a terrific play. Everything perfect about the finish of that one. He had to get down low, stay low and focus. He did all of that still looking for the first hit as Michael Massi comes up in a swing and a high fly ball hit well, deep right center Luis Robert back looking up, it's gone. It's a home run for Michael Messi who does it again against his hometown team, a home run his ninth of the year, his 30th RB I and that swing ties the game 11. Here's Salvi standing in the league in number four over the head can let it go and a swing and a miss and that is the first strikeout. Yes, it is. Frazier lined out to the center fielder Robert. His first time. Frazier hits a soft line drive off the end of the bat right to Gavin sheets who makes the catch in. Right. And that's that royal spra one bottom of the fourth. It's 11, andrew Vaughn with one away. That one well struck out to left and andrew has gone shot in the fourth as the White Sox retake the lead Vaughn his 13th of the season and he is now homered in back to back games is at the plate. Good pitch by strikeout number 22 down and back to the top and mass 0 to 1 hit on the ground and almost right at Baldwin positioning and the first can in a 123 midway in the fifth white sox two Royals one leadoff man aboard here in the fifth inning for Fletcher fastball over the outer edge called strike three. Fletcher is down looking swung on and miss strike three. Lee went after a change up in the dirt back to back case for W Bobby Wood Junior to leadoff chopper to short, got to hurry it because he is hustling down the line and Lopez makes the play hard hit back up the middle , but Baldwin was placed up the middle perfectly. A 12 3/6 inning. Now, Adam Frazier playing second base tonight on two hits the grounder on the changeup cover the bag and what a performance for jonathan Cannon seven strong giving up just one hit back to back two out hits here in the seventh, corey Lee standing here the right handed inning catcher number nine hitter 1st and 2nd 2 down on the ground to Garcia, he'll go the short way, close play and out and Waka has gotten through seven innings allowing just two runs. Unfortunately, it hasn't quite been enough to have the Royals in front. Pedro Gal is about to ask Frasier to make his big league debut in a one run game in the eighth inning. Garcia draws a leadoff one and represents the potential tying run bounced and Garcia will move up to second base with nobody out. Thank you didn't have to do it on a steal. Garrett Hampson has a productive out to get the tying run to third with one out. So the Royals still only have one hit. That is the fifth walk given up by a white Sox pitcher. Here comes pedro. Here comes anderson and he's going to inherit runners at 1st and 3rd and only one out. And Bobby Witt Junior comes to the plate. Fastball popped up shallow center field. Robert sprints in still coming a drop base hit garcia streaks in to score from third. This game is tied at two. Freddie Fermin goes to second and Bobby Witt Junior delivers a game tying hit past Quintino at the plate into left field. Laco scores Junior goes to third. He's gonna come to the plate hands up beach running. Bobby Witt Junior and Vance Wilson saw the throw going to second base and he never stopped running. There's a reason the Royals are good because they, in all areas running the bases is one of them watch Junior. Ok. He's the trail runner, Blanco. No problem here. But they try to keep the runner or in a double place position and junior, they just forgot all about him, the fastest guy in baseball and they just let him go watch it. Look at him coming through Vance Wilson helping him out. So stay in that third gear. Opposite field, single for Luis Robert Junior. The White Sox have runners on the corners with one out for andrew Vaughn goes, Luis Robert Junior, they not in time. Roberts swipes the bag and puts himself in scoring position on the ground to the right side is retired at first and Luis Robert Junior advances to third. It's now a 4 to 3. Kansas City lead, Luis Robert Junior moved up to third. He's the potential tying run on a strike three. Hunter Harvey beat him with a an hour fastball. That's the strikeout stuff the Royals have been looking for in high leverage. Hunter Harvey allows a run but strands the potential tying run two outs in the bottom of the ninth. See if Lane Sosa has a little magic in his bat. Curveball, got him looking and Sam Long gets the save and the Royals have another rally in the eighth inning with Bobby Wood Junior right in the middle of it and they beat the White Sox tonight. 43.
