brother Harry is currently in the leads Academy and his dad Andy Granddad Frank and great Uncle Eddie were all players for leads and the Scottish national team with Uncle Eddie managing leads on two occasions despite being only 18 years of age Arie ranked up a huge 4,000 minutes for leads in all competitions last season playing 52 matches with only five coming as a substitute of those games 30 of them came at right back which isn't his preferred position he more in central Midfield but that's quite common for young players coming through in terms of being a central midfielder he played 10 at defensive Midfield in a double pivot last year that included a glittering display against Chelsea in the FA Cup too but how does he play Archie is a modern technical player for sure he's extremely press resistant he uses his dribbling guile and clever touches to avoid danger dribbling is definitely his main Progressive attribute making 1.08 successful take on and 1.8 Progressive carries a match this puts him in the 80th percentile versus his fellow midfielders in similar competitions it's worth noting though that the data is a bit skewed because of his time playing at right back and Central Midfield ANH polu has supposedly already offered great game time next season and given that he played so many matches at right back last year and he's primarily seen as a central midfielder it's likely that he'll be able to cover porro quite effectively in that inverted fullback role being able to play that inverted fullback role will only put him in good stad to make get minutes next season because Spurs have a plethora of talent Vine for those three Midfield positions already now we'll go through them because there's quite a lot Rodrigo bonor Pat matasar Oliver skip Lucas bergville e quality dribling safe in possession and I think he might Thrive there hopefully we also get to see him play in central Midfield sometimes Spurs are going to have a lot of matches with the Europa League on top of all the domestic competitions next season and we'll need a far bigger Squad to cope than we did last year fortunately it won't be long before we get a glimpse of Archie in a Spurs sh before our tour of Asia we've got two fixtures one against hars and then at QPR a few days later before signing for Spurs he was linked with the bundes Le move we'll get the chance to see him in two fixtures against Bayern Munich at the start of August now what does the future hold for gray at Tottenham now I'm led to speculate that Spurs might be looking to develop him as a number six given the awareness tracking runs really really maturely however his short passing is good but overall his passing numbers aren't great now that could be due to lead's style of play last year but his medium passing and long passing numbers aren't fantastic another concern at defensive mid is his Mobility now his Mobility looks fine he quick along the ground great dribbler however he tends to play the ball the way he's facing not looking up to get his head up and assess the options on either side ultimately though this is only from a small sample size of 10 matches at Central defensive Midfield last season and he's still only 18 Spurs fans must temper their expectations of the impact that he'll be able to make right away Summit leads have been comparing him to Jude Bellingham I think that's a little bit crazy but they might just be referring to the impact of him as the lead Jewel of the academy like Bellingham was for Birmingham but what do you think I think Archie is a fantastic signing the club's really becoming a hot bed of the best young Talent around we signed Lucas bergville in January and already have Pat matar here not to mention Mickey vanderen and Destiny doggy Archie's taking the number 14 shirt a bit of an iconic number with Luca Modric and David jinela wearing it in the past even if he makes half the impact they did that's a recipe for a great career at the club and I really think he can make an impact immediately and only improve as he gets older the [Applause]
