we're going to talk about the schedule I got a couple of hot takes hot takes bzy has got some hot takes coming at you I got two really good takes I think everybody's going to like uh we're going to recap the injury situation and um the o line situation and uh whatever whatever else yall want to talk about but let's get right into it man um rafie what's up bro hope everybody's having a great night hope everybody had a great weekend I know Jose had a had a great weekend he had some tacos he was talking about that were incredible so maybe we'll hear uh we'll hear more talk about the tacos but let me go ahead and get into my hot t Tes I I have two hot takes here MC saying he'll be up here in a little bit all good we appreciate you so my first hot take guys and I heard I kind of got this a little bit of this off the local radio show they were talking about it this morning but if you look at the Dolphin schedule I mean the bottom line about my hot take if you look at the go at the Dolphin schedule they're going to go six and one if not seven and0 we're about to go six and one if not seven and0 we're about to we're about to do it and we I think we could you know we hopefully we'll beat the bills man we got to split with the bills no matter what would be ideal so we need to win the home game but say we beat the bills and we stumble up somewhere else we're going to be six and one our by week is week six after the Patriots we have a bye so after the Patriots game week five we have a biwe and then we play the Colts and the Cardinals okay and then we play the bills man we should be six and one at least going into that second Bills game six and one at least if not s and0 if not 7 and0 six and one going into the second Bills game what do you think about that everybody come on up if you want a chunk I understand uh everybody's probably busy everybody's probably chilling tonight getting their their week before the uh the real deal no fantasy football we haven't yet bro we Haven it man I don't know if we're going to do that or not man we need to figure out something though but yeah the week A lot of people are talking about the kan's game kan's Gators a lot of talk about that but yeah we'll see what happens you know um I don't know we're missing pieces on olon and D I want to talk about the o line rfie yeah let's talk about that o line and D third DC for McDaniel yeah other than that him being the third DC we've had continuity around as far as coaching around the building you know we've had I guess more I guess on the offensive side of the ball not defense but yeah you know but I mean I think really that's key man if we if we come out and we're getting scored and Jacksonville comes out and puts 30 something points on us we're all gonna be sitting around like what like WTF you know what I mean and so really yeah yeah you're right about that third DC for doum third defense coordinator it if Weaver comes out and has a hardcore defense we could be in the Super Bowl we could be in the Super because we have the offense to do it we have the offense you know we have the offense uh to do it maybe barring our offensive line but we're going does a lot of dolphins content over there and so uh but yeah I commented in that video I said I saw Rich Ganon play in Memphis when the Oilers came up there when they moved to Memphis I went and saw Rich Ganon was a quarterback and um uh Tim Brown was playing at that point and Eddie George was a a running back for the Oilers and Steve McNair was a quarterback for the Oilers and uh the Oilers won that game they were the Memphis Oilers at that point or maybe Tennessee Oilers whatever they were they moved to Memphis and I went and saw the game but nobody in Memphis liked them because everybody knew they were about to move to Nashville and so that's a whole another story but yeah Rich Canon go check out back it up Ben's uh Channel man he's got a lot of great content on there lot of good points you know obviously we cut Mike White that's a big deal or is it a big deal I mean Skyler has outperformed him and that's another one of my hot takes guys a lot of people are like what the hell's going on blah blah blah guys I think with Skyler we're good I think we're good I think we're good I think we're good I think we're good with Skyler because the way I look at the backup quarterback is if he could come in say to a you know knock on wood say two a tweaks an ankle okay and he's out four or five weeks say he's out five weeks okay if two is out five weeks we need Skyler to come in and win two games you know we need the backup quarterback to come in and win he doesn't have to win them all but Skyler okay say um he comes there for four games we need Skyler to go two and two if not one and three at worst you know what I'm saying saying but my point is we need the backup quarterback to win games you know and hopefully we can get two of back in their ASAP but like I I was talking about I think I think we're GNA go six and one seven and0 it's the back end of our schedule is what is Hardcore there's away games on the road cold environments that's crazy the NFL set that up like that but I like it you know we we we've talked about that before that it it's set up to kill all the narratives man all the stuff about cold weather and this and that we're set up to smash it to smash all that and so Broncos a looking a trade before releasing wide receiver Tim Patrick rafie thinks the Dolphins should take a chance on wide receiver evidently we need receiver they're talking about we need them now you know I heard Big O on the radio Earth earlier or on YouTube saying bya beros Big O was saying bya baros you know and so that that that's something else uh that we need to talk about all the cuts man all the cuts you know I don't really know I don't think a lot has broke today let me take a look at this real quick as far as uh the cuts um you know I think it's the same Mike White that tight end I don't think it's been anything major but it it is about to be major it is about to get hardcore we're about to cut a lot of people you know we're about to cut a lot of people there's gonna be some tough decisions being made Allah baros um I think Malik Washington just locked that down you know he basically just took barrios's position I think you know so another team will pick up baros probably real quick everybody wants a returner and baros can do the job but we drive to Malik Washington we need to use him but um injuries man I mean they are what they are we've got quite a few depending on what it looks like you know I think McDaniel puts people on there I think he because if you look at some of these other people people like if you look at Arizona's uh injury report they have like five guys on there and we've got like 25 so I I don't really we'll we're gonna we'll check out the injury report next week we'll check more on that uh we got the waiver wire coming up waiver wire guys check out the waiver wire it's coming up Wednesday right Wednesday's the big cut are we G to pick up an offensive lineman we G to pick up a defensive lineman you know waiver wire keep an eye on that keep an eye on the waiver wire are we going to pick up a quarterback back it up B Browns and jets to close the season on the road yeah I know bro what's up with that New York in January not good key to playoff run is Health man well said need to a upright in Hill waddle to stay healthy well said bro well said man that's really the key right injuries mainly to Tua but we do need Tyreek I don't even know the status on his hand his thumb or whatever I hadn't heard the latest on that I'm thinking he's good they said Jay the wad was in a red jersey today I read that hopefully he's good and uh yeah oine you know hopefully we're going to be somewhat healthy there um you know it was a couple interesting comments uh came out today uh here's one right here Tua Tua was asked about his confidence in the defensive offensive line well brother I get the ball out fast so I'm confident in whoever ever we've got there Tua he's confident in somebody asked him about his confidence in our offensive line and he said I get the ball out fast so I'm confident in whoever we've got there oh [ __ ] yeah I mean [ __ ] it [ __ ] it okay so check this out while it's only the preseason okay here's a little preseason uh nugget for you while it's only the preseason the Dolphins ranked worst run blocking grade and the fifth worst pass blocking grade across the three preseason games yeah worst worst run blocking fifth worst pass blocking and you know that's preseason you really can't put that much stock in it but then if you look at this stat per ESPN the Dolphins ranked 31st in pass block win rate last season third 31st oh [ __ ] yeah I just know our offensive line sucks yeah it sucks bro and we really haven't done anything to improve it yeah it sucked for a long time already I mean Patrick Paul but Pat Paul you know yeah there's always holes in the offensive line for sure but evidently two is not worried about it he's just being optimistic but you know he's pretty sure inside he's thinking damn they I can't say they suck I wish I could but right I mean maybe or maybe he thinks he's not worried about it you know they have kind of done pretty good in that as far as the offensive line has looked decent where we all thought they were gonna look like sh yeah but I don't know bro I don't know man I think that's really the key to our season man yeah but again the preseason step I mean we didn't play like Armstead and all the starters right right yeah exactly if you want to talk about this right here the worst run blocking grade I mean I thought we ran ran the ball pretty good man I don't know in the preseason Jaylen Wright I'm impressed with him but like you said you can't put stock in that you can't put you can't put stock in the preseason uh stats but you but you can put stock in this man Dolphins ranked 31st and pass block win rate last season yeah I mean if if you think about it it's kind of the irony in it two was first in passing yards yet we rank 31 and passing blocking win rate right it's kind of like right okay corate how's that happen yeah but yeah we we do need to improve our I mean that that's why sometimes he makes stupid decisions because he doesn't have time especially like in the playoffs and stuff The Good the big games right when we play good defensive lines um he needs that extra time well that's what um and it kind of happened this last preseason game man when the defense totally blows up your offensive line when they totally I mean you know no quarterback stands a chance you got like one second they're on your ass you know so we gotta have something up there I don't I don't know bro now hopefully Armstead healthy All Season which I [ __ ] doubt but if he stays healthy at least for 12 games I mean that'd be good and well we have lamb Paul I mean losing Robert hunt did hurt us but hopefully Jones steps up and we get back um win and hopefully ikenberg finally breaks out and plays decent Center he's probably gonna be our starting center ikenberg yeah so hopefully I don't know man I thinka needs to hold him accountable too I mean I think he's too nice I don't know I mean I'm not in the hudle and [ __ ] but he just doesn't he doesn't seem like the guy that was [ __ ] yeah who Tua yeah yeah I don't know man I think he's I think to is pretty hardcore at this point I think he takes uh he'll take the command he takes command you know but can he back it up is is gonna be the question yeah because he's played good but you know I heard um who is it Chris Perkins have you ever ever heard Chris Perkins he covers the Dolphins he he writes for one of the newspapers in Miami no I don't know well anyway he was on there talking about um he was I'm I am always correct F's up he was on there talking about um what the hell were we just talking about I don't even know I just lost my train of thought I'm always correct uh Chris Perkins he was on there talking about if oh well Skyler Thompson he was on there talking about Skyler Thompson he was basic and they asked him he said how do you feel about Skyler Thompson being quarterback too are you good with it and he said hey look if Mike McDaniel's good with it I'm good with it yeah you know and after thought about that for a little bit I started thinking I was like you know what I think I think we're good with Skyler you know I think he can come in and win some games it just depends on probably what games yeah yeah you never know what you're GNA get with um with Thompson sometimes he does play good but he's really inconsistent he does he's been in the system for a minute rafie do you think the G the Dolphins will be better this season I don't know bro I mean we should I mean because of our defense we go last year 10 and seven what we do think 11 and six I think or 12 and five I'm not sure one of those we're somewhere in there but I think that's exactly where we're going to be again exactly we're somewhere in that range I mean you can make all these predic but I mean it comes down to injuries I mean we have the death chart our roster sted in defense especially um we have a good dline good edges good good secondary our linebackers are not too good except David Long's pretty good but they look stacked so I mean if we can stay on the field we'll be good um the old line as long as they block enough for Tua um we should be good in the running game and and the passing game so going to come down to special teams the kicker those close games and and always does man special teams and turnovers special teams and turnovers man here's uh CBS sports.com here's our injury uh report they added Schwarz after uh he got hurt on IR reserve and then then you got the whole list man poer obj I think all this is going to change come next week that's why I'm really not putting too much I mean not all of it is GNA change but a lot of it you know what I mean yeah because that's that's a long list I don't think we're gonna have all these people injured man I think I think if more than a few of these people will be playing come up in the weekend yeah I mean they have to include it in then um Indie Richardson didn't look that good in the I didn't think he'd looked that good in the preseason to be honest they do have a they do have a good offensive line though and their defense they I he's a good player he just he can't stay healthy man it's his problem yeah um Arizona we should be okay add Buffalo that's gonna be tough and then the next one is at the Rams yep that's gonna be another night game Las Vegas easy New England easy Green Bay has going be tough as as well Jets should be depending iron Rogers is playing or not okay this is when it gets tough bro this week 13 after New England like you said we should beat the Raiders and we should beat New England now it gets hardcore yeah four out of five your last uh our last six games bro at Green Bay at home gets uh the Jets potential at Houston yeah bro potentially and that's what I was saying about going six and one and seven or seven and0 earlier we need that six and one and we need that s-0 we need that win against Jacksonville bro if if we don't me uh uh Us in Jacksonville at the end of the year that could have if we don't beat Buffalo that Jacksonville game could have wildcard implications you know at the end of the year they could look back you know we could be in the hunt and then so Jacksonville and they we're going to be looking back seeing who won that game we need to beat Jacksonville that Lit legit Community he even said that he knew the ball the that I think it was teron Johnson who picked it off he said that he knew that Tua was going to throw that way and he picked it off you know yeah and that's part of that's one of the reasons we wanna we want Tua to look other places and go through his other reads okay first okay yeah the first game that was a throttling you're right about that the first what was it like 4 20 4820 something like that talking about 4820 yeah that was a bad that was a beat down yeah that was a beat down legit no doubt yeah that I that one that one I I couldn't blame two on that no not the first one I couldn't blame two for that game that was defense yeah that was week 18 game bills played hor still won yeah sure did that was the big that was the game week four with Vic fangio I had ker K and Stefan digs and had him Trav you know had uh ker kohu traveling with Stefon digs and you know we paid the price and even Xavier Howard in the second half was like dude come on MAR I'm xaven Howard this guy for multiple years twice against him and you guys don't have me following him like it's just you know it results yeah fio had it all jacked up last year I agree like I and I agree with um Michael K I think the [ __ ] um Buffalo Bills definitely did not play well at all and that should have been a game that we should have capitalized on and you know it wasn't completely to's fault um there were some drops I think like the second to last drive you know the the bills blitzed them they went on an allout Blitz and Tua had Tyreek hot Tyreek dropped it and that could have kept the drive going and then and then the second to last drive there was a there was a I know got um Tyreek on the play that Tyreek Hill got interfered it look like he was running an in-breaking route even though Tyreek Hill got interfered with you know he still had an opportunity to make a play on the ball because the ball was on him on his hands and he dropped it and but again there's no there's no there's no excuse for Tua making that throw on the interception you know what I mean um right we should have won again bro and Josh Allen look his first touchdown wasn't even a good touchdown was tipped by one of our DBS and and sherfield made an acrobatic catch in the back of the end zone exactly you know that wasn't a good game by Josh Allen he played like [ __ ] and he right yeah that's what I was saying they were trying to give us that game man they were trying to and then we were like [ __ ] it we we just didn't take it man we didn't take it but we have to take week two this year we gotta take it if we take week what do you think about my take of us going six and one if not seven and0 in the first seven games yeah I think we're gonna go at least I mean six and one is what I think at least I would like I would like to go you know what I mean like because what you do early in the season affects you late in the season and in the playoff it affects your standings right like I don't want this team to put so much emphasis on starting on hot and then the second you half of the year they collapse you know what I mean I care about the final five games of the Season you know what I mean that's a good way to look at it but that end of the schedule's Brut that end of the schedule's brutal bro the last five or six games we were just looking at it that's why I want to get the wins early man like we normally do you know yeah get the wins bro stack them up at the beginning man you know and and speaking on on two's behalf cuz you know I know that you know some people have two all over the place in their quarterback hierarchy right two good two games to look out for or that Thanksgiving game against against Jordan love who's considered like one of the top Young Guns in the league and that's a very good football team on the road in a cold game right and then you got the other game against Houston which is in the middle of December and that's against one of the Young Guns as well CJ stra and you know um and that's a high-powered offense Stefan Diggs and whatever and Stefan Diggs and niik Collins and tank Dell you know what I mean so you know those are two games where if you know like kind of like the first game week one when we faced Josh like you know Tua made a name for himself right because you know that whole conversation about who we should have took at number five right should have been Tua should have been joshh Allen and Tua didn't really like you know end the last meeting right they didn't end the last meeting that they had on Sunday Night Football on a good note so here's week one and Tua kind of like proved himself like hey look listen I I I outgunned I outmanned you know I outd Justin Herbert you know 360 466 yards from touchdowns you know hitting the the goal line fade against you know against Tyreek Hill so he has those opportunities if he really wants to set himself you know be mentioned upon those um you if he wants to be mentioned in those upper echine quarterbacks those are two good games to start you know to kind of make your name for yourself so you know we've talked about Herbert on this show man I think he's overrated I think Herbert's way overrated I think he's got a really great arm he's got a big arm other than that forget about it hey was a uh Buffalo rat saying there GNA give us some yeah man um I think Justin Herbert you know has been a choker recently you know he was 0 and4 last year and game tying or game winning opportunities you know what I mean and and that all started off and that basically like started off from the you know from the game that he blew a 27-point lead in right yeah right I mean Trevor Lawrence threw four interceptions he threw three of them to a Sant Samuel Jr right and he still and you still managed to give up a 27-point lead and overrated bro we got uh Michael K Allen stats for week 18 we're 30 for 38 well he didn't play like that in the beginning that first half what were what were his stats in the uh first half because he he play he you know all of a sudden he he he caught fire man I mean that one touchdown like I mentioned that one touchdown was it wasn't a great throw it was a lucky it was a lucky play Byfield a deflected pass like he had one good drive the whole entire game that one that was an awesome if he if that if that's what if those were his stats at the end of the game well he those you know those stats don't reflect how he played man 30 for 30 and he had two touch he had two interceptions and a force fumble like first half and then he caught fire in the second half I mean if you want to use that take of that being a good game I mean [ __ ] I remember Tua in week 17 in 2020 he he threw for 361 yards and he threw for [ __ ] three interceptions is that a good game no h no right right y but no we need to handle the bills week two man that's a huge game Jacksonville is a huge game did you see did you hear my take earlier saying that could be a a playoff implication game at the end of the year if they're looking at the AFC teams who won that week one game who won that Miami Jacksonville game we really need to beat Jacksonville bro I think that's I think we I think Jacksonville those first two are huge and then I think we're going to steamroll the next five is what I think steamrolling but we shall
