Oklahoma Sooners: Thoughts on DeMarco Murray's suspension & Temple Game! #oklahomafootball

out I have a huge issue with the NCAA suspending DeMarco mer I don't know why they would do that I mean if you consider over 18 months which is a little bit over a year you said that DeMarco Murray contacted made 66 texts and has 86 calls and saw people's family whatever the case may be so what people do this all the time they're scouting they're recruiting it does not matter they're going to have conversations with who they potentially want to give a scholarship with you cannot stop that it doesn't matter if it's a period for it or if it's not a period for it if you're telling them that they want to add somebody to the team there's going to be a conversation it wasn't a problem three years ago when Lan kein was sitting at a quinon jins football game in the stands and he was ready to talk you don't think that he was able to talk to quinon Jin's mom or dad or whoever was there you don't think that he had a conversation come on now like we understand this stuff there's there is recruiters literally people will hire a man that just lives in the state that they just want to hey hey we just need you to go look at these kids for us we're looking for this type of uh player we're looking for this type of player in this position we're looking for these things right they'll go send the recruiter to the high school the recruiter will go crazy talk to the kids talk to the coach head coach of high school football team and potentially be at the high school football game sitting next to the parents chatting with the players after the game guys they do this stuff on a regular basis we cannot sit up here and act like this is something brand new but for you for the NCA to make a rule and then I guess DeMarco Murray said he didn't know that the covid-19 policy had changed till now whatever I don't know if that's true or not but whatever the case may be it shouldn't be a problem like I said everybody is going to be talking to somebody in recruiting it doesn't matter you're not going to stop or regulate that when J when I guess Jim or John whatever which one it is but whenever what's Harbaugh was at Michigan and he took somebody he got a burger with the kid and his family I mean DeMarco Murray is not sitting up eating with the family what's the problem and you suspended hard ball for three games for well they suspended hard ball for like one game one or two games for that situation hard ball was getting smacked they wanted Harbaugh out for the whole season that's why they're glad hard baugh's gone and if he comes back he's Bann so I don't think this is the problem I just think the NCAA is just being tied up their asses and they just want to cause problems and that's fine because eventually teams teams are going to start taking notes of this stuff and it was just it was just sooner or later that it was going to happen to Oklahoma but teams are going to take notes of all this stuff and they will potentially find a way to Branch out from the NCAA I'm telling you guys they will find a way to Branch out from the NCAA they will find a way but moving on from DeMarco Murr situation for being suspended for one game oh you plays on Friday oh you plays temple they're at home game will be at six o'clock I think that Jackson Arnold will come out there have a master class game and I I think we'll be able to see uh Hawkins come out there on the field too I do want to see a look a glimpse of the backup quarterback we do we all need to see a glimpse of the backup quarter back we need to see a glimpse of everybody that's um you know second stringers third strings I love to see everybody play and especially in games like this uh I don't know what Temple has in store for us I don't think it's something that's great I don't think you should take any team lightly so you need to go out there treat it like it's an important game obviously you're not going to walk all over them at any point in the football season so you know go out there play a good game play some clean football love to see everybody just get a chance to play and I think that U would obviously win and cover that whatever I think it's like a 45 point spread almost I think they cover that 45 point spread I think defense leads us that way I would like to see how offense is but I'm not uh critiquing everything and nickp picking on everything with the offense I just want to see the ball moving and I would love please Seth L TR I would love to see better situational football if it's second and one or third and one please just pick up the first down don't take a sack don't lose yards don't get a holding call put up on us just keep it simple for us please if it's third and five we don't need to throw a 40 yard bomb down the field like leby had us doing it's third and five we just need five yards please keep it simple please help him develop a game plan that's what we need help the oat line develop a game plan some situational football that is the biggest thing for me this season with this team aside from physicality is situational football and that goes for the coaches we were horrible last season when it came to situational football it was God awful and you could say oh the ref oh this that it the games that we lost last season to Oklahoma State we lost to uh Kansas that was all horrible situational football you can't tell me otherwise [Music]
