EPISODE 5 : Week 0 Preview / Predictions, Team Talent Composite & More

[Music] [Music] all right welcome in everybody it's going to be episode number five of the Monty and myy college football show Monty how you doing man good another day another dollar not a dollar on this show but that's okay yeah still still no dollars coming in our way but you know what we're doing it for the fun we're doing it for the fun so for this episode we got a pretty good rundown for y'all um 24 247 Sports they released their team Talent composite so we'll kind of break that down for y'all just kind of explain what that what that metric means uh and we finally got college football this week baby we're here that's right that's we made it we made it we got a week zero preview for you guys uh following that following our week our week zero preview we'll hit the uh our predictions for offensive defensive player of the year uh you know some kind of names to be on the lookout for we'll hit a weekly mailbag where we answered some uh followers of the show's questions then we got our dubs Duds of the week then Monty will always close us out with his weekly hot tap got a good one so here we go Monte so the team 247 sports team Talent composite it's basically a ranking of the talent that each team has it's not necessarily a breakdown of hey we have you know this these are the best performing teams it's just hey who's got the most potential based on recruiting rankings and also transfer portal rankings so if you just want to kind of break it break it break down the list a little bit you we can kind of go through it and uh list out a couple names yeah uh like you were saying U it's it's not based on what they you know what 247 Sports thinks these like thinks how these teams are going to end um it's more about like you said based on the recruiting and based on kind of the developmental aspect of the players as well um so for example like you can still you could have like a three a guy that was a three star coming out of high school right but he's a senior in Alabama and he's just penned out to be a really good player like he's one of their better players right so like yeah so say for hypothetical say Jaylen noo was like a you know two star or whatever out of high school and he's like one of the Heisman prospects this coming year he's going to get a higher rating than you know a five star you know that completely you know for lack of a better of [ __ ] to beted you know so that's basically what these along with the guy the Freshman coming in you know five star they'll get a higher ra uh r or rating because you know they're a five star still in 247 guys so they're they get that higher rating too um and so yeah I'm looking at the ranking right now man I'm not going to go through obviously all 130 teams or whatever but um couple teams I would like to note though I mean you got like said Alabama at number one um The Usual Suspects Georgia Ohio State Texas and hson rounding out the top five uh let's see so Alabama's at number one with a, Point 108. 28 points and that's showing 882 total commitments that's 175 Stars 54 Stars 153 stars and the average is 93.7 n points so that's per player um having that average 9379 totaling in the 1.28 um yeah I mean just seeing Alabama at the top there that still means that they got a lot of production not only coming back but coming in despite stat leaving um so that was one of the I definitely wanted to uh make note of there um another one and you can comment on this one a little more was Oklahoma at 8 right so we have venables that's been there for what is he going on year three now year three year three and I mean he's still got guys coming in and enough guys coming in that you know Oklahoma's there at that eight spot um I wish we had a freaking uh like a another person here pull that [ __ ] up Jamie so they could so you know they could see they could see the the rankings because we're kind of just talking about them uh through a word of mouth but I mean do you I mean it does the number eight spot for Oklahoma does that surprise you at all with you know having a new coach after Lincoln right left do you think it's uh some of Lincoln Riley's guys kind of lingering around those older guys that are panning out to be what you know people expect them to be I personally no I don't really think uh so left over from the Lincoln Riley era there's about four four players okay you got Billy Bowman Danny stman uh Ethan DS and Woody Washington those are the four players that are left over from Lincoln Riley uh but Rett B since he's taken over man they've done nothing but put together top 10 recuiting classes they've had one every single year okay since he's taken over and I think that's that's just a reflection of how they've done in the portal and then how he's built kind of changed that roster around uh one thing that stood out to me when I'm looking at it is these so just a quick little graphic that 247 Sports put out it uh it lists the top 20 teams so like the top 20 most talented teams 11 of those are SEC teams so yeah I mean that's that's pretty standard though I feel like you know um so yeah you're you're looking at the graphic I guess I'm on 247's website right now and it's got uh the top right here I can load more but it's got the top 50 and I just looked at number 50 they got Vandy there so they I mean being in the 50 spot I guess isn't too bad I mean you when you consider what the highest Big 12 team is which is who would that be TCU that's the 2023 sorry let me let me update no worries I'm going through right now looks like TCU again at 28 yeah FS yep which just another one worthy of noting I mean you got this conference right that we were high on last last episode um but we also mentioned that they were kind of they're those middle of the ground teams that are all going to beat up on each other but somebody's going to come out on top right so it's funny that TCU is that highest Frank uh you know because right after you get to TCU then you start seeing all these big 12 teams showing up Arizona State Colorado UCF Utah they're all right there behind them like just bang bang but up until that point you know you got Texas Tech there 38 right so you up until that point though yeah you it's it's interesting to see and on TCU of course all teams you'd expect it to be at you know in Oklahoma State or or somebody or Utah even in Utah is at that 33 spot compared to TC 28 but even then you know it's definitely not something I I assume I'd see yeah it's one of those things that kind of catches you off guard and you know it's kind of tough to say I mean there's there's Cinderella stories but really what the talent composit is kind of good at is the same thing as the Blue Chip ratio you know is that if you're looking for your National Champion you should probably start right here on these top 20 teams and then you know probably Bank on one of those being your National Champion just because it's really tough to close that Talent Gap whenever you're uh you know you're playing pretty much at a dis Advantage so you got to really out coach or you got to really develop players to be able to kind of close that Gap right you really need a senior heavy team or something along those lines I feel it so man I don't I don't really want to put it off anymore like we got college football this week and I want to do a this show like I said when we were setting it up you know we set it up we're like Hey we're going to do a preview and a recap and that's going to be our kind of thing as we go through the season so I don't want to put it on any longer let's talk some college football games baby let's go yeah it I mean yeah it's been a long time com obviously it's another uh another offseason done um we got man there's four four games tomorrow but it's four games more than what there were the past several weekends so I'm excited to see what uh these teams do and I'm excited for this football season so where do you want to start off you want to start off we got some Le our match is up we got two kind of intriguing ones we can kind of start with a Delaware State making the trip out to Hawaii right yeah they got their uh they got their flight that they missed their their 12-hour flight out to Hawaii but they still are playing this or coming tomorrow um so yeah we can talk about the Hawaii Delaware State game um not a whole lot to talk about with Delaware State uh a relatively new FCS program so they are at the FCS level um I'm assuming whoever does listen to the show knows that FCS level is the division one double A compared to everyone else at the single a uh level um Hawaii being at the single AEV division one FBS level um I think with Hawaii uh very high octane offense they always have it um and they have a very very uh veteran senior veteran um defensive backfield I think this one is going to be one-sided the whole way through uh so I know if we want to do our predictions now or at a different time this episode I mean that's kind of go ahead and hit it what you got who you got who got taking this thing I got I got Hawaii taking this one in in a blowout I was I was gonna mention I don't Sports bet but I was going to mention the spread if I were to sport it I would take that minus 39 and a half for Hawaii I think it's going to be a blowout so you're taking the over on that I am dang Hawaii covers the spread at 39 points that's pretty big blowout I mean but yeah you got BR shagger he's coming back as a senior for him uh he played you know he played pretty good last year putting up 26 TDS 14 interceptions uh I mean when you have that kind of Veteran presence coming back especially at the quarterback position you know it's really easy to start a season off good and that's that's kind of what you're looking for is in those week one matchups or week zero matchup well that's the thing too with Hawaii's offense right they're going to score the points and then going back to I mentioned that their their defensive backfield is uh they're returning I think it's two seniors and like three Juniors or something like that and they're all start they're all coming back to play again like as starters so it's going to prevent that big play any big play possibility that Del State might have I think that's going to prevent it and so I just I don't think it's going to be a very close game at all so if you're picking the head-to-head I think how we're going to keep these matchups throughout this season is you know we're both going to predict uh do you want to predict head-to-head or do you want to predict B lines I'm more I'm more inclined to predict the head-to-head just be the winner yeah so a little background on that so I'm sure like other people listening to this they they watch other college football shows whether it be on TV or podcast or this or that um and they do you know they have their host they basically keep track of the wins and losses of each week and and so that's what we're going to do we're going to keep track of our predictions and come the end of the season we'll see you know if me or mury have the better record of of uh predictions so it'll be a lot of fun I think yeah we'll see who the who the better no of ball is yeah we'll see man I've always wanted to do something like this so I've always thought you know I like to think that pretty good at predicting football game so we'll we'll see how that ends up I might end up with a losing record now that I said that but we're going to my biases won't get in the way well the thing about it is when we get to the season we're probably not going to do we may do like the top 30 team matchups or something like that it's just we had only so much time that we could pack into the episodes and be able to break down matchups um so you know we'll probably mainly focus on the top 30 top 25 games and then you know if there's a real intriguing one that's like two teams right outside the top 25 we may plug it in uh to the lineup but you know not not saying anything but you know this might be one of the last times we're talking about Delaware State nothing against them guys nothing against them but this might be the last game that we're predicted for you guys yeah they're just not going to be too too far too high up on the uh the radar the the important list for me personally but hey nothing but respect those guys sha so absolutely so I also I'm going with Hawaii in this one I think Hawaii's going to win probably win big like I said just coming back with this senior senior heavy team that's something you can really count on that's usually something you can you know buy stock on especially early in the season you know because they're not going to take the time to round and deform more or less they're already kind of established all right and and another thing that is worth noting not saying it'll happen but worth noting you just keep an eye on them throughout the season and then Mountain West like I said veteran teams you just never know especially in the Mountain West a lot a lot of times in the past those senior heavy teams have had a lot of success in years and they'll have like that like you said going back earlier that slenderella you know year U Fresno State's done it uh Wyoming's done it Hawaii has done it in to an extent in the Mountain West uh not too long ago so yeah just be be weary of of Hawaii this year keep an eye out for him they might be able to us surprise people in the mountain leftest well I mean it also didn't really surprise you that Hawaii's got a very senior heavy team I mean how much how hard is it for them to talk players in coming backs like do you really want to leave Hawaii we got we got some money coming for you we got know you're living in Tropical Paradise out there getting to play college football especially I and I don't I yeah especially and I don't I don't know too much obviously into into their nil and and their their booster backing but I mean I'd imagine that because niil is very much a thing they do get some kind of you know nil money so yeah it'd be a good place to go they play football I think it just comes down to that Island fever for some people maybe but it'll be it'll be interesting to see what they do this year all right so we're not going to get much disparity on this one both of us predicting Hawaii over Delaware State uh so we can go ahead and move on to the next one let's hit Montana state New Mexico this one's kind of interesting if you look at different metrics on who's predicting what uh Montana state is actually favored by nine here uh so I saw I saw somewhere they were actually now favored by two touchdown 14 points 14 yeah and I just saw that on uh I got this site that I really like uh so they're they're minus 110 or minus 14 on uh that the covers.com um I was reading into that a little bit but uh but yeah it's an interesting match up like you said because you got the the F it's the FBS and the FCS school again but uh Montana State actually has a lot of talent um and New Mexico state is probably the 11th best roster my dog just broke everyone could say hi while he in here there he is you gotta go though you gotta go he got to make his appearance at least Y yeah this door anybody hasn't noticed hey we got new podcast hats for those of y'all watching on the uh YouTube show and uh probably some of the Tik toks y check them out we got some new got some new podcast hats uh we'll be probably trying to get a link posted for those I got to do a second order this more first order was kind of just more for Less everybody who's like a close supporter of the show or affiliated with the show but we'll do a second order that we can start getting some hats out to people absolutely and appreciate the guys that uh took time to make them oh yeah Brandon bills Brandon bills shout out to Brandon bills for putting together this logo and this hat for us yeah means a lot to us um yeah so New Mexico uh probably the 11th most talented roster out of the 12 teams in the Mountain West um not a whole lot going on there for them it's uh they've had some pretty rough years in recent past um they don't have a lot of faith in them on this game Montana State's one of the better teams in the FCS you know how those FCS uh those games go early on in the season you you never know especially when you have a a slightly less serve power or excuse me uh FBS team and those those teams like Montana State North Dakota State North Dakota those guys so I actually do have Montana State winning this one um by how much I don't really know because I don't really know a whole lot about New Mexico's roster um other than other than the guys that are coming back and there's not a whole lot um but I do have Montana State taking this one yeah um well the thing thing about it is is when you got those FCS schools you got to think about it as you know they don't get a lot of coverage outside of whenever they're either they're either in the playoffs is about the only time you'll see them or if they're playing one of these bigger you know FBS schools so that's this is you know really early but it's a real time for those players to kind of get a little Limelight you know some of the stuff that they work so hard for during the summer this is this is their time to kind of show out more or less absolutely absolutely other than their playoffs I mean these games are kind of like they Super Bowl right and especially for Montana State on week zero because there's only four games being played I mean this is going to be one of those games that is watched by a lot of people so I mean those guys are definitely going to want to show out um and not only beat New Mexico but beat the Liv crap out of them so it'll be interesting to see uh by how much but I do think they are GNA win this game yeah so I've kind of went back and forth on this one as far as prediction wise if I mean if they're up to a 14 you said 14 is the new spread the one the one that's that I'm looking at right now I don't know I don't know what ESPN's got on them um I could look but this one I'm looking at is they got them minus 14 I know I know all these different games they have varying spreads you know until game time but yeah it kind of depends on where the bets are going and it changes as far but from what I can tell is that everybody saw Montana State at the minus nine and punch their money on Montana State uh to so that's why that spread kind of grew yeah um so like I said if I was if I was probably put money on it I would say New Mexico State keeps it tighter than two scores um they've had a pretty productive offense from at least you know just looking at game history or scores from last year um but yeah I'm going to have to go with you I ain't going to disagree on you here Montana State I got them taking the uh over New Mexico got to get that FCS school to get that Super Bowl win right there oh yeah yeah I just I just think uh and it's crazy to say right because it's an FBS School versus an FCS school but I just think the talent difference between the two I think it's going to be too much uh for New Mexico well we got that we got the uh North Dakota State and the U Colorado game coming up here here in a couple weeks I don't know if it is it a week one game you know I I I think so I think it's their week one game um I'm not going to look here I got it pulled up I just saw that Clemson ug game we'll talk about all that next week but uh well anyways they play at some point here coming up and and that'll be that'll be another one of those interesting games right a lot of high hopes for Dion and Colorado this year but hey that that North Dakota State team notorious for that might trust me I know as as a former or half now but former Iowa State fan North Dakota State's known for giving them giving the Big 12 teams some fits so uh they've just been you know they just always come in they're really well coached uh you're not going to get a lot of mistakes out of them so it's like you really got to maximize kind of your players You Know Travis Hunter probably gonna need to have a really big game for Colorado to be able to pull that one off uh so let's move into my let's move to the next game so we both got so just quick little recap both taking Hawaii over Delaware State and we're both taking Montana State over New Mexico so we're not going to get a lot of disparity between us so far as far as record predictions we got right so this one yeah sorry you know he's got we're still we're still digital so there's a little bit of a lag yeah so uh we got SMU versus Nevada uh I believe SMU might be is SMU the home team or they away uh I'm pretty sure they are the home team I don't see I don't have my phone because I'm using my phone for the for so that's a also people we can make note of this so I'm using my phone again right now because we we listened to the last episode and mury said that I sounded like I had a three blood alcohol content after which I did not I was not drunk last episode but it sounded like I was apparently so I'm back on the phone so I do not have a phone to pull up all the all teams and stuff but looks like it's gonna be uh SMU at Nevada actually okay so in going there to play um yeah I'll let you talk I'll let you talk mostly about this match up because I know you had you had mentioned you had some things to say about it some passionate things to say about it um I don't think the where the game is is going to have a whole lot of a fact on who wins I'll leave that there but I'll let you mostly talk about this one so if anybody watched uh our top 25 prediction episode I believe that was that episode four I'm spitball three that was three that was three episode three was our we did playoff predictions last week yeah yeah so if anybody who watched episode three uh they know that I was higher on SMU than pretty much most of the country um I really I really think SMU is going to be a really good football team and I think they're going to have a really good first year in the ACC um for this one I just the line is that smu's pretty much got favored by 27 and a half points that was whenever I pulled it granted I pulled these on Tuesday or so I think I've I think I've seen I've seen 27 and then it uh I think like recently like as in today recently it went down to 24 and a half but either way yeah either wayu favored by quite a bit um and I'm I'm going to take SMU 27 24 yeah give me give me SMU all day uh I think they have a really good they have a lot of returning starters a lot of good returning production I mean last year they had the uh as far as S&P rankings uh for everybody who doesn't know it's like a strength and predictive ranking you know it predicts how good a team is based on you know different matches you know they take into time like garbage time and football games and stuff like that you know like how actually good is this because you know Total Defense number stuff like that it can get skewed depending on how each game plays out um but they had a 12th rank defense they had the uh and they were eight in points per game on offense and they're led by Preston Stone coming back at quarterback he missed the last two games of the season last year but I don't think Preston Stone I'm just going to I'm going to phase this how it is in the notes all right I'm going to POS a question to you I want just let me know how this hit your here what do you think about Preston Stone as a Heisman candidate well we talked to it off camera a little bit um I mean my thing about it is it's and I told you this before the episode I said unfortunately uh the Heisman Trophy nowadays is not about the overall best player in college football it's about the best players on the best teams um which because you talked to me about uh his odds as a high winner being 15 plus 15,000 like a very very very low chance right um and I'm not saying I don't I'm not saying I agree with it but I also don't disagree because of that reason I'm not saying he's not capable I'm not saying he's not talented enough to an eisan especially if he if the stats show it um this coming year like if he proves to be what you think he is um I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it or anything uh I just think I don't I don't know if SMU I they're going to have to he can win they they'd have to win the at which in turn would put him in the playoff and I think that he would have to win a playoff game then you can start talking about you know him being a real candidate you assuming that he does have the stats uh that you need to win a Heisman going into that because if he's also you know and he had the stats last year from what you showed me um but if he ends up doing you know not as well as that and just as more of like a contributor to a team that's so good maybe they're carried by their defense or they're carried by their o line in the Run game you know maybe he's he becomes very uh very systemes which I don't think he is because smu's never been there they always have a quarterback that's like you know Western Kentucky or uh recent years Tennessee or Oregon you know stuff like that so I think he definitely can win but they're going to have to do some serious stuff this year in order to do that like I'm talking like top 10 win the ACC type de yeah I mean the ACC it's kind of a I mean we call the Big 10 a top heavy conference the ACCC is even more so of that I mean you have I mean you have some really good competitive teams that you know they're expecting to have really good years be it Virginia Tech who I know you were high on Miami you know they they do well yeah Miami they seem to be filling themselves down there they think Mario cryst get rolling we'll see and uh yeah they also have state who's viewed highly by a lot of people yeah that's a game I'm nervous for as a Tennessee fan our our second game this season they got Clemson who I mean Clemson came in at number five in that team Talent deposite um Florida State you know they were number 13 on the talent composite uh after coming off a 13-0 season and then you got SMU and I think those six teams right there um depending on how SMU can play uh just so just just give everybody an idea of what I'm looking at right so if you compare the top three Heisman candidates right now you know the betting odds favorites before we begin the season it's it's in the in the order of Dylan Gabriel Quinn ERS Carson Beck Dylan Gabriel quarterback uh last year at Oklahoma transferred to Oregon so he'll be Oregon starting quarterback this year Quinn Ur is out at Texas and Carson back at Georgia so when you look at their stats um so I can go through it you know Quinn years he was 3,400 yards 22 touchdowns six interceptions last year uh Dylan Gabriel 3600 yards 30 touchdowns six interceptions at Oklahoma last year Carson Beck 3,900 yards 24 touchdowns six interceptions and then when you go and look at Preston Stone you know playing at SMU last year he was 3100 yards almost 32 he was about three yards shot of three 3200 yards 28 touchdowns six interceptions and this was his you know D Gabriel he's a fifth year player at this point fifth or maybe even sixth um so what you're getting out of D Gabriel is basically what you can expect Quinn ERS this is going to be his third year as a starting quarterback what you're getting out of him you're pretty much going to be my my only thing with the ERS stat that's a little scoot how many games did he end up missing last year viewers it maybe I think it was maybe one one one and a half it's either one or two but either way I mean you could argue you know he'd have a little bit which I mean 22 and six isn't you know the worst it's pretty impressive still in my opinion but I see I see what you're getting at well I'm saying is Preston Sone also missed two and he went oh okay I didn't know see I didn't know that so yeah he missed the last two with a I believe he had a concussion uh so he's almost 3,200 yards 2 eight touchdown six interceptions and he's also pretty Dynamic with his legs you know he can he can I'm not saying he's no he's no Lamar Jackson but he's still uh he still can get some stuff done there right and and then you got Carson Beck I mean Carson Beck's what this is goingon to be his second year as a starter yet yeah second year as a starter um so like I said you know you got Carson back I believe Preston Stone you know if he can take a sec a step up I mean there's no reason he can't be in that argument I mean right now if you bet on him not saying I'm not advising on any gambling you know I'm not condoning gambling however if you placed a $10 bet right now on Preston Stone to win the Heisman hey that's a $1,500 payout just saying for anybody who's making runs up to CHOC T you know think about it think about it so when I'm looking at that we get back to the game uh I just like I said I'm I'm really high on this year but I see SMU taking Nevada they're probably going to take him to the dog shed it's going to be it's going to be pretty pretty good route up there uh in Nevada nothing against you nothing against the old wolf pack but give me the must yeah absolutely that's and that's why I said you could you could harp on this game mostly because you had you had some stuff to say about it and that's because I agree I really and what I said briefly before you before you started talking um i' said it really doesn't the the game being inada really doesn't affect the outcome I don't think I I think and I had mentioned before the uh before we started recording tonight that there was two games that I thought were going to be blowouts maybe three and this was going to be that second game that I thought was going to be blowout other than the Hawaii game so um yeah I just think between quarterback play and overall team Talent n Nevada he they've had a couple down years past two years um I just think SMU is gonna be too much for him I don't think there'll be any any home field of Advantage effects on SMU so yeah give me the Mustangs as well all right not gonna have a lot of disparity I mean maybe I think we'll probably start getting some different picks in come next year got a little little more going into it so Monte you said got quite a bit to say on this next one it's pretty much the premier matchup that's getting played over in Ireland um so for those for those every we got we got Florida state Georgia Tech playing in Dublin Ireland neither one I mean I think they set a home and away team but it really doesn't matter I don't think it'll matter too much yeah um is an interesting game because you know Georgia Tech Georgia Tech they've had some wishy-washy years but they've been also had some very good years in recent history and uh Florida State obviously coming off a strong year um but losing a lot of NFL Talent um one person that I think will affect this game immensely and I think this will ultimately affect the outcome of the game is dju DJ angele um the transfer out of Oregon State um well Clum s to Oregon State now at Florida State he's a starting quarterback of Florida State um I think he can affect this game I think he'll be the the the main person to affect this game uh if he can minimize his turnovers uh I think Florida State can win this game um but on the other side I think Georgia Tech also needs to minimize their turnovers I know their quarterback last year had um a turnover issue too and when he played uh higher ranked defenses he struggled last year um I actually had it pulled up I can find it here here it is well anyways I was looking at a couple stats from last year um and here it is so against Louisville last year he had he was 19 to 32 313 yards three touchdowns and a pick not horrible it's actually pretty good I don't know why they posted but but the one that I wanted to to to know or the couple that I wanted to know was against Miami he went 12 to 25 uh 151 yards and a touchdown and two picks uh Clemson 13 of 31 they we're talking less than 50% 129 yard two touchdowns and four pick and then Georgia 11 of 20 158 no touchdowns and no pick so you see what he does against defenses that are willing to test him he doesn't do too hot this is Georgia uh attacks quarterback king um so if he can if he can have a good game if he can get over two at least 250 yards passing in a in a pair or maybe a few touchdown passes that'll make this game very interesting uh but I think it will come down to dju and in his turnovers um because Georgia Tech is returning one of the most talented defenses in the entire country um and we saw what happened when Florida State's Playmakers decide to not play in a football game when they don't have them so uh I think I think uh Georgia Tech defense hold our own against Florida State's talented um offense it'll get interesting but I uh man I well I'll let you I'll let I'll see what you have to say but I mean I do have a winner I I and I think I think it could be close than what people think but I'll let you speak on the game first so when I when I look at it right Florida State that's a 13-0 football team well 13- one all right they lost the bowl game to be be honest I don't necessarily include bowl games just with the world that college football's turned into at the end of the year where you you know they got players transferring out of teams and all that stuff I'm not really going to hold a bold game against you uh if you're not one of the playoff teams because you know you're very rarely going to have your full roster and all that stuff so it's kind of kind of an odd situation there so I'll give Florida State Credit for a 13-0 season um AB absolutely and and however this football team 2024 is not that football team in 2023 uh this one they you know they've lost 15 starters I believe I read from last year's team uh you know just a real heavy turnover so brand new brand new ball team pretty much I yeah brand new ball team uh I mean DJ I I'm glad you went for his name first because I didn't want to mess it up yeah ugele however you say it people people call him dju I'm sure I'm sure people listening to this will know who dju is now that we've mentioned it but yeah so you know with with that I don't see this Florida State team going 13 and0 again uh I believe in Mike norell as a coach it's hard to do twice it's hard to do twice Mar Mike norell is a very good coach and I think he's the right coach for that program I mean just from what he's taken them to granted you know they weren't far removed from Jimbo Fisher however we've seen what Jimbo F Fisher's cultures kind of look like towards the end of his 10 years I mean Tes D&M that was kind of a mad house yeah as well as how he I think there's I think there's some there's some outside sources affecting that whole thing so that that's I think that's a bigger bigger thing than just football coaching there so that's a little different but however Michael Rell is a very good coach and to be honest I mean I can't I don't know too much about Georgia Tech I can't say I watched too many of their games last year you know I'm gonna try to be I'm gonna try especially with I start the show this you know this year I'm definitely going to try to watch out try to watch more football catch you know different games um however I I will say I like I like their coach um and another reason why I think this game will be closer than people think it's because so it's Brent Brent key is the head coach it's his second year so last year his first year you know he he beat Miami you know he's done some big things in in year one so it'll be interesting to keep an eye on these guys because it's his second year now so he's he's starting to recruit and he's starting to so we'll see what he can do but anyway yeah and however I do I do have a hard time thinking that Georgia Tex gonna be able to close that gap on Florida State all right there was a there was a big gap last year Florida State being one of the you know top five teams in the country uh probably top four team if Jordan traper doesn't get hurt I mean if they don't lose him Florida State's in the playoff yeah I probably agree with you on that one I think I think between and this is all hindsight right but I think between between Jordan Travis skin her and Nick sain retiring um I think that Alabama was kind of the you know get him in for the last year my personal opinion but again hindsight it's 2020 it's 2024 now so yeah but I just don't I don't think they're going to be able to close it I mean they got they got dju very experienced player uh you know whenever you got those you got those fifth year those senior quarterbacks you know that're they're not going to go in there and flop all right you're not going to be you know nothing against my boy Jackson Arnold all right got rough anthy Jackson but you know had a very rough bowl game you know when he came in had that first experience you know had the you know through the three interceptions and you know you're just not going to get that those kind of moments from those very experienced players uh they're going to come in they're not they might not be you know Top Flight blow you away but you're going to get a very consistent performance and I think that's what you need going into play a game over in Ireland you know it's a kind of a big deal um and it's a lot of emotions to be able to handle um but I think having that senior Le at the quarterback position and having Mike norell as a fourth year year I believe he's a fourth year coach now for Florida State probably I think he came maybe one year before venables did to OU um so I think that experience is going to be what carries Florida State through this game so I got Florida State uh winning this game do you know what the spread is now what's what's what's your spread showing right now for it uh it is not on this page give me a sec yeah the Georgia Tech the Georgia Tech Florida State game was the one I didn't put on the uh coverage.com I I was really rearching this game yeah I got it right here showing uh Florida State minus 11 Georgia 10 plus 12 yeah give me give me Florida State by two touchdowns here you got them two touchdowns yeah I probably got so that's I didn't mention mine I wanted to what you had to say first I do have Florida State also winning I do think dju takes care of the ball um so I yeah that I harped on it and it made it sound like I didn't believe in him my notes were just Florida State minimized turnovers Georgia Tech minimized turnovers so but I think Florida state will I think dju will take care of the football like I said um my only question is why and why I noted it was because like you said the Ireland game it's the it is it's the Marquee game of the weekend you know there's only four games but that's the Marquee game Den Island you know this is probably the biggest game that dju has arguably played in since being a quarterback uh to you know if I think back if I think back I mean he didn't do a whole lot at Clemson maybe the Oregon Oregon State game last year if you remember Oregon state was like they were like a one or two L team right and he did really well at Oregon State and I I'm high on dju don't get me wrong about that but he does have a he can have and has had in the past a turnover an issue and so I think as long as he takes care of the football he's he's one of the best quarterbacks arguably in the in the nation when he takes care of the ball so and I and I think he will here so that's why I picked for state it was just worth noting because are the lights going to be too big we'll see yeah it's tough I mean and if you say lights I believe it's actually a night game granted it's being played at 11:00 a.m. here but I believe it is actually a night game over there yeah yeah so not luckily they won't you know it's it's not an away game per se they got George tech fans screaming at him so it's not going to be now I know the Irish can get crazy over there and Loud once they get drink in the Guinness but you know uh I don't think it'll be as loud as a as a a Georgia Tech or or college football stadium in in the state I mean to be fair I think was it the Florida State athletic director who said he expected 20 to 30,000 Florida State fans to make the trip I mean I like if I well Tennessee game is a little we they always charge us way too much money to go to Tennessee games go to Tennessee you know was in playing somewhere over there I definitely look into it so I I don't I'm not surprised that Florida State fans are heading over there which 20 to 30,000 is that's a lot that's yeah it's like I said I mean that's got to be that's maybe like I said don't quote me on that um but that may be a thing so let's we got our we got our predictions so we're not going to get a lot ofar between me and M this so we we all we all agree so we're either going we're going the same record this this week yeah so0 let's see you know if our if our record start to turn real negative right here we'll probably lose some of our listeners because everybody's will be like yeah these guys don't know even know what they're talking these guys don't know ball they're bagging on my quarterback blah blah blah yeah yeah we did have we did have one person you know he hit the hit the comments old Joshua Blanco hit the comments said he said we wanted to explain why Florida state was better than know you and we're just not going to have that blasphemy on the show so we're just going to move on past that so shout out to you Joshua Blanco so we'll move on we got our offensive Defensive Player of the Year watch list um or you know so you know the Heisman has kind of become almost an extension of the DAV O'Brien award quarterback's winning it um however so we'll we'll go for offensive player of the year and defensive player of the year so Monty who do you have taken those or who do you have as a name to watch out for I wouldn't necessarily say we're doing a prediction on who's going to win those Awards but I want to say you know name a player that you that you would uh keep an eye on for those positions yeah so on the offensive side so again this is not who I think is going to win the Heisman Trophy uh this is this would be somebody who I would take could probably win the offensive uh player of the year if they if they you know if they don't win the highest um I know people are going to disagree with me or and agree with me this is one of those these this is one of the safer picks that I've had um but so on offense I think Carson Beck is definitely one of those guys Georgia's always going to be there at the end of the season Georgia is always gonna be one of the top teams especially now you know Kirby Smart with is basically the next Nick sain um and so they're gonna have the talent they're going to have the roster they're going to have the undefeated season damn every year and and car Carson Becks at the helm so I think that's definitely one of the guys you need to watch out for for uh the offensive player of the year as long as he can take care of the ball um 25 to 35 touchdown passes and minimize turnovers I think that easily one of the guys talk that should be talked about as offens player of the year then on the defensive side obviously you know this I talked about it prior to the show I didn't want it down biased but I really I really am confident that this is a guy you should watch out for for defense player of the year James Fierce Jr Tennessee Edge um he's he obviously you saw the rankings he just came out as the top player or you know ESPN's top player uh coming into this next football season the number one player in the nation James Pierce Jr um I don't know if they believe that because they think he's going to be one of the best draft picks in this coming or just overall production wise um this next year in college football so I think as long as he can produce even more so than last year which I think he he will I think yeah he he's definitely one of those one of those players that can uh get that defense player of the year award but so those are my two um there's other names that I've thought about I mean Quinn yers is up there for offense uh Nico you know that's my bias showing a little bit but Nico is one of those guys keep an eye on but yeah uh uh running backs are or excuse quarterbacks are kind of the main main award Getters now when it comes to uh overall players stuff so uh yeah those a couple names I have that we should definitely keep an eye out on yeah um so I kind of wanted a little bit of a different approach uh as far as offensive player of the year I wanted to try to find somebody I'm like hey who's somebody I look at that's not a quarterback you know everybody's going to get flooded with the quarterbacks I want to look hey who's a player that I can keep an eye on that isn't a quarterback and my NE my guest immediately floated to uh oy Gordon so he he budded back into the room again so it's all right while you're were talking I had a howling show going on outside I kind of saw your face and I it got really quiet so I assume that's why I kind of kept talking I I mentioned a couple other names um yeah so I got offens Player of the Year somebody to be looking at olly Gordon running back he's a junior at out of Oklahoma State uh to be fair when you're were looking at Oklahoma State last year I mean he started out the year his first three games um he had seven carries nine carries and then three carries with 44 yards 53 yards and 12 yards um and then it seemed like Mike Gundy figured out oh hey we got something and then he had over a hundred yards in every game except one after that um I mean he had two backto back 250 plus rushing yard games um so Oly Gordon is somebody who I would if Mike Gundy granted he had a little bit of trouble in the off season you know got got one of them DWI you know yeah however if uh as long as he could stay sober while he's running the football yeah it's like you know well I believe he'll probably have if Mike gy can start using him from the very jump of the Season you know you very well could be talking about a 2,000 yard uh rushing season for oy Gordon and Oklahoma state they're no they're no stranger to those 2,000 yard rushing season so yeah so like I said if there was a player I would be looking out for non-quarterback got to put my money on olly Gordon uh yeah like I said he he's very probably close to a 2,000 yard season um as far as defensive um I actually went with Abdul Carter he's an edge out of Penn State um not a lot of production to go off of however Penn State has recently if you've been paying any attention to the NFL draft you know they've put out uh some really good products here the past couple years you would whether it be Micah Parsons chop Robinson last year both firstr talents uh and Abdul Carter he's kind of seen as that next guy for Penn State um he's only he only had four and a half sacks last year however you know that's played alongside chop Robinson who's a first round pick you so maybe once he's that guy he's there Premier rusher that you know he might I'm expecting an uptick on those you know he may be able to reach the double digit sack Mark which you know put you in good contention as far as you know cross college football to be in the conversation for those kinds of awards so Abdul Carter Edge Penn State um he's one he's going to be one of the founding points you know he's one of the people that Penn State you know Penn State fans think they're going to be really really good this year and he's one of the players they're hanging their hat on saying like hey this is our guy this is one of the reasons why we're going to be good so uh look out for Abdul Carter Penn State yeah that that's a that's a great name to put there for that uh and I think I think defensive player of the year you can you don't even need you know depending on what other stats you you don't even need a that double that double digit uh sack number um but you know of course talent wise he's definitely one of those guys that can more than capable of getting there so I yeah that's another name that would be good to watch out for one the defensive side of the ball so um we kind of have a little bit of a weekly I I call it a weekly mailbag in our note show rundown however you know we don't get a whole bunch of mail or questions you know about stuff people want us to cover on the show however if you do be sure to reach out to us and we'll plug you into question um he wants you to explain the hype about the Texas Longhorns he says um now G he's a loyal loyal U fan if you look look at com he's loyal guy but he wants to know the hype around the Texas Longhorns why why are they viewed as pretty much unanimous top four team across the country yeah I mean as much as it pains Oklahoma fans to see at Texas doing well again um you know I'm I'm very unbiased when it comes to Texas I have OB obviously being in Texas we have we have friends that are Texas fans I guess we ask about the UT debate we'll probably get a little bias out of you there huh there there's a little bit of bias when it comes to that but uh but no I mean other than that when it comes to play like I actually am pretty high on Texas and it's not because I like them or just or you know like I have any feelings about them it's just because there's well I can dive in um with with I'll start with the obvious Quin right Quin can very well have Heisman fees right now I know you know people are 5050 on him being like Oh yeah no he's the he's the he's going to be the best guy that goes into the draft because he's most NFL prepared and then you have people that are like dude the guy did you know he's not he's nothing impressive he's just he's a system guy that had a bunch of talent around them last year and that's why they made the playoff this or that right um this year is very important for him and I think that he could I put very well could have Heisman season if he does Texas will be even better than what I already think they're going to be um the question marks were the production they lost on the ex the outside receivers and receiver core as a whole but they did they replaced they replaced those guy whether they get the production out of them this next year another question right but uh I think that they solved that problem with the portal guys that they got and so I think that they will show that over the over the year may they might start a little slow at the beginning of the year but I think overall I think they'll with Quin at at starting quarterback with him being the the field General that he is I think they'll be fine and then the people want to talk about Texas losing a bunch of production but they returned 15 of 22 starters that's third highest in the SEC behind uh Kentucky and Kentucky at 17 Auburn at 16 then he they're tied 15 with uh like Florida and Georgia I think um so they actually return a lot of production so this this whole thing about them oh well they got some gaps here and there really the only gaps were the receiving core and and they went to uh to the portal to fix that problem so I that's why I think that they're Texas side good well I was saying they lost a lot on the dline too to the draft they did they they did but I think and I could be wrong but I think that it next man up now at this point with Texas and people have their opinions on sarkeesian I'm not the biggest fan of his outside of football but um but I think what nothing yeah but I I I think that he's a really good recruiter so I think he it's more of an next-man up thing on the D line for them I think they'll be fine again there are still question marks but I think the hype behind them is is that they have production still coming back 15 of 22 third highest in SEC they have a veteran quarterback a very good quarterback um and they don't have the really really young the unproven young guys replacing the the talent on the outside yeah um I mean I do like I said I'm not as high on Texas as you know most other people in the country I have a more as like a ninth ranked team um I got some questions about the running back position especially now um they knew that they lost their their top two running backs in Camp lost them both for the season um I don't think Quinn is somebody who you could play Hero ball with um nothing against him I think he's a very very good very efficient quarterback however I don't think if he's what you're relying on he is your system I think he I think like a lot of quarterbacks I think he would benefit from a very good run game you know being able to run being able to have a good play action game off of it run some boots you know and um line up in those uh those heavier sets to be able to run that run those play action those boot uh boots off of it so I think he's somebody who had benefit from that um so with him having to pretty much be your Catalyst I have some question marks about it I have question marks about the dline um you know I think granted it is I think Texas has recruited very well they clearly have I mean when you look at the team Talent composite you know they're still one of the top I think what are they they yeah the top four team as far as when it comes to Talent you know so they clearly got the guys below them however you know Talent isn't always you know well it doesn't always pan out I know it's not it's not always replicated if that makes sense like yeah just because you had an NFL player above that guy doesn't mean that the next guy up is an NFL player even if he's a higher ranked recruit or whatever the case may be you know sometimes some players pan out for different reasons so uh I still kind of like to see it play out but like I said I think Texas is they're still going to be a very good football team and there's a reason why you know sares coming back in his fourth season uh Quinn 's coming back for his third you know you have those two what people call almost a Cornerstone you know if you have an established head coach you have an established quarterback hey you were good last year hey guess what you're probably GNA be pretty good this year and there's not a lot of games Texas is going into where they're not going to have the better or at least maybe the more proven quarterback I think I think what'll really tell what Quin yers I think we what we'll see his true colors come October 19th when they play Georgia now I know that's a little bit you know midseason so you'll be like we need to see it prior to that but I think that's the real you'll see it you'll see it in against Michigan too but you know there's a lot of question marks behind around Michigan as well um yeah and that that being an away game in Michigan that's going to be a soldout game um and so it'll be like see what he can do against that but I I talent wise I especially on defensive side I think 20 years will be tested against George and I think that should put away a lot of the question marks that people keep having for Queen years I personally like the guy as quarterback um they said the same thing that you were just saying last year about him and they made the playoff so and I and I think he has pretty maybe not as good as the weapons on the outside as last year but pretty soon um and I think that they just kind of kept winning last year kept winning kept winning kept winning everyone's like well he's just not that guy but he kept winning um up until obviously that Washington game but I mean I really I I think I think that there is there's a lot of hype around them um but I think that Texas is definitely a top five team at least initially yeah I mean I know I think Texas had a really good run game around him last year um and and however I mean Texas they they did play Alabama last year beat him in Tuscaloosa y um now granted that wasn't a that wasn't the same Alabama team that it was later in the season jayen milro I think was definitely you definitely say he was playing at a different level uh as far as those two games I mean he ended up getting benched shortly after that Texas game I think what was at the next the very next game or maybe the game after that where they subbed in uh tried to different person out at quarterback and then Jaylen milro came back and you know had finished out the year really good uh for Alabama um now I don't think I think Texas they're going to get a test at Michigan I think Michigan all the questions surrounding it their dline is probably still one of the best in the country oh yeah I still think Michigan's gonna be a good football team how do I have them as now granted I have a reasoning behind them being number one preseason but you know I still think that they're they're def at least at least top 15 yeah and one of the things is I think Texas is going to have plenty of a chance to prove it I mean they have and Quinn ERS is going to have a chance with not having the uh running backs behind him he's gonna have a chance to uh more or less prove himself I mean you got to think they play probably three top 15ish defenses uh this season be it between Michigan Oklahoma and Georgia um I I think he's going to have that opportunity I think by the end of this year or by the end of that Georgia game you'll know going in if hey if Texas is going to be a playoff team one and two if hey if Quin ERS is that dude at quarterback so I think he's got a good opportunity to be able to answer those questions uh you know like people like me are still asking I mean yeah I mean if they can win two two of those three games I mean even then I think that that kind of that kind of puts that you know to bed if he assuming he does well in those games which he will have to in my opinion to win those games so uh yeah I I think two two of the three there I think that that should put to rest most the doubt but we shall see all right well G just want to give another shout out to you man thanks for the question uh any of the other listen hope that I hope that answers your Tennessee athletic raised $1 139.7 million for uh for the student athletes it's a it's a fundraising it's a fund for the student athletes um and it's the third straight year that they've broken the record of how much money they've raised for all of the Athletics so I so I gave Tennessee athletic that not just for the football players it's for our whole Athletics program and with with Tennessee athletics being at the height of what they are now across the board um I think that's awesome and I think that's huge and it shows uh what ad Danny White is uh is doing over there in Knoxville so double the week Tennessee athletics raising $1 139.7 million for the student for the student athlete that's the only reason why I was my du remember that for the student aete also Tennessee just resigned their baseball coach that's right and I wanted I almost put him down but I was like you know what weak zeroes here it'd be wrong of me to put you know Tennessee baseball coach as my d so yes he was he was being thought of but yeah I thought it' be more appropriate give a shout out there hey congrats on getting their money deserve five year five year extension we got them till 2029 at year he had Tyler gon Walter Rouse Tyler gon first round pick uh to the Cowboys Walter Rous believe is a fifth or sixth round pick to the Vikings and uh so both of those as far as the NFL preseason is gone they uh he's still opening doors yeah he's he jumped up continue I don't know what's happening I just had a little firework show go off around me either way I I was going to say you just went like black completely yeah yeah it was a little firework show I don't know what maybe something I said or a gesture I did um however so Bill Bebo he's got the two uh top PFF ranked offensive tackles for preseason NFL so shout out to the guys Tyler G wow Walter Rouse uh good shout out for you Bill beo also had another good week he landed five star offensive tackle Michael fusi uh Con coming out of Texas you know everybody doubted Bill banbo about whether or not he could land a f-star offensive tackle so I just wanted to give Bill banbo a shout as he uh continues to make Oklahoma offensive line uh great so we're hoping for another good year see what unit he could put together this year so Monty who do you have as your dud of the week or do you want me to go with mine while you're s did you I'm going back the Delaware State football team and missing their 12-hour flight to Hawaii earlier in the in the in the uh week obviously they they're already the underdog by 39 and a half and man they're they're going I I I wrote down Delaware State missing 12-hour flight to Hawaii AKA their own funeral so mean not only not only you're going to get your ass kick most likely in this football game but you're I mean you're missing your flights you're get you're getting a late start uh you're get a late start to the week practice so it's it's all bad for them so that was my D of the week uh Delware State God help yall man yeah I mean does anybody have any idea on how like how long of a flight Delaware to Hawaii is uh to the 12 hour flight 12 hour flight yeah yeah and there they're already laid on it yeah not a good look and definitely not a way you want to start off your season that's the usually doesn't spell like hey we got it all under control here we're showing up late to our own flight that's usually I mean I mean unless un something's different for Delaware state but I believe the flights are chartered for them are they not see that's what I was reading into it man I'm like how do you all miss a chartered flight and I don't know maybe Delaware State doesn't have that that funding um you know may yeah that's what I was saying maybe they had to take a Southwest flight because i' I've SE I've been on I've been on flights before with like other athletic sport like sports teams on like Southwest like I'm like flying home on Southwest and I got Texas volleyball on the freaking flight with me you know so could it could be a funing thing they just they somehow missed flight whether it was like a one of their one of their buses breaking down or or what but I mean I just figured it always it just made more sense for a football team because I mean you got to think you have 85 dudes not to mention all the support staff and all that stuff you could fill up you know I just thought it always made sense to Charter your own flight uh just because of the amount of people that got to travel with that team right but hey maybe Delaware state does stuff differently who knows uh that's got to be that's got to be a pain to go through TSA with that many people though I say either either way a a brutal uh start to the week of their demise so that's my DB of the week so for me uh I went with for my dead of the week I got darl duche I'm that's how I'm going with is how you say it is duch yeah and I think even if that's not how you darl I'm not trying to disrespect your name um so if I got it wrong I apologize for that um however what Daryl did this week is he is a flag football league quarterback um you know he's he's a staggering dude at 5'8 140 lbs but he said it's disrespectful that Patrick Mahomes um can think that he should come in and start for the flag football team for the Olympics for the United States uh believes that he shouldn't take that spot over him and so I did a little research on it right because I was like I was like you know maybe this dude is just maybe he's just a baller flag football um but I went looked up the video y'all can go look it up for yourself just type in Daryl duch uh throwing his throwing motion uh Monty he looks like Brucey off of The Longest Yard that's what that's the best way to describe how this dude throws a football man to be to be able to you know look hey play the sports you love that's fine hey look I'm I'm looking for a flag football uh I guess men's league here in where I live uh coming up but you know so I don't knock anybody for doing it but man when you try to say oh patri M think she like come on dude like see you're 58004 pound this Patrick M the NFL quarterback seven on seven it only the game only slows down more for guys like that Patrick M so come on and then and then to be a guy that's that's thrown like that it's like yeah I just don't I just don't see the reasoning behind other than other than it being a PR stunt I don't see why he'd be saying that I mean like I said I think I think it's kind of be one of those things where negative media is you know better than no media uh yeah negative PR good PR right yeah there's no such thing as bad PR and maybe that's what he's going with however after I watched him throw the football I'm willing to bet start over huh said patri is gonna start over uh like I said if I'm a betting guy I don't think Daryl do sh St the football 25 yards honest about yeah man like I said not a lot darl du nothing against you man just as as a football player if I'm picking between you if I'm picking between you and Patrick Mahomes buddy you know where I'm going yeah I think Patrick Mahomes is gonna g to be my pick on that one or really any other NFL quarterback or college Quack and probably most high school quarterbacks I might even I might even debate a junior high quarterback there so Daryl du you are my dud of honestly don't think well I told you it's not it's not really not as hot of a take as as maybe the past H um but I got dju djele throwing for 300 plus and three touchdown and a win for Florida State so I I think that that he will throw for 300 um against a very good Georgia Tech uh defense which is why I think it was worthy enough to be a hot take because man that Georgia Tech defense is good but I think 300 300 plus and three touchdowns could be wrong that's why it's a hot take but I believe it 33 TDS I would I'd be interest to see do you know how many games he did that last season I no I don't know exactly how many games at Oregon State he did it um but to see let me look I let's see 300 yards and three TDS hot right there baby there it is there it is hot T Hey DJ DJ U he's gonna he's gonna have his uh well you heard it here first mot yeah he's gonna have his first 300 yard game I I think he cor if I'm wrong I I think he had Rel least one of Clemson uh I could look at the 2022 yeah you might well while we're here while we're here discussing it I think that's a I think that's a good high take man I I'd be almost inclined to agree with you there I think uh think with with an offense like theirs I mean you know I think as long as he doesn't turn the ball over yeah I think if we get the dju from Oregon State and not the dju from Clemson I think this dju is most prepared uh to play his best football if that makes more sense because I think he I think he's got an upgraded team around him at Florida State versus Oregon State and I think he's in a situation to play his best football absolutely I agree and that's why that's why that's take that I'm willing to make take I'm willing to make so dju 300 yards three TDS M's weekly hot take okay all right uh I guess we can get up we'll be able to get an update on that one next episode you know most of the picks you've done so far they've been kind of far out future cast to see how they pan out to the end of the year but this one we'll be able to double check in next week see if Monty knows what he's talking about we we can come on back to it hey that's why it's a hot take right yeah absolutely absolutely I love it I love it so Monty we're getting to our outro the show I mean this OB this episode I at least got to say it went way better than last week's episode as far as with with the breaks and stuff and and you know obviously apparently I sounded drunk after the or during the last one uh for whatever reason yeah I sound so the difference between this one and and last obviously I went back to using my phone in the meantime because my computer I have my computer here for people that can't see it behind the screen holding up my phone uh be able to research some of the stuff that we were talking about um but the sound for whatever reason I was using these airpods last last episode but for whatever reason yeah the sound was off with computer we don't know if it was the app we're using or my computer but went back to the phone just in case and it seems to be going fine so yeah hopefully we can get uh get a little we got a consistent use of it and we can you know get through the season pretty good um so mty do you have anything to say anything for the outro anything you want to touch on yeah absolutely I mean obviously uh football season here college football here first of many hopefully for us for this show um I'll say it every week we appreciate whoever does listen um again we don't we don't do it for for clicks and Views and likes and stuff like that we do it because we really enjoy talking about college football and we really really appreciate people being able to tune in and at least hear our takes and we would love for people to uh to continue to reach out and continue to uh comment on some of the stuff that on our socials and stuff not not because it gets us any monetization because we aren't monetized right now it's just we want to be able we want to be able to have that that conversation with people because we seriously do love talking college football just to talk college football don't care about it being money we have our own jobs obviously um if this monetized we'd love it but it's not what we're doing it for so we appreciate everyone listening and and tuning in and and and giving their input and anything else again anything else that anybody wants we'd love to hear it we love to make this content better for for people so it is also entertaining for viewers so again appreciate everybody for whoever may be out there listening to us but
