Star Wars Outlaws - 40FPS Mode Tested - The Best Way To Play This Game On Console

hello my friends and welcome back to my channel in my last video we talked already about the 30 and 60 FPS mode in Star Wars Outlaws and today I like to talk about the 40 FPS mode because of some technical issues last time I was not able to record any 40 FPS material I have fixed this issue now and I'm more than happy to present you actually a proper comparison between 30 40 and 60 FPS and what we can see here right now is that the 30 FPS mode obviously has the highest resolution and then we have the 40 FPS mode slightly less Sharp and then last but not least the performance mode which is even less sharper than the 40 FPS mode so you can see actually to get more frames per seconds you need to decrease the picture quality in regards of resolution and the difference between 30 40 and 60 FPS is I wouldn't say clear visible but it is visible here in this comparison sector's clear hey s and of course I was curious if there's any significant or visible difference between the PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X version in the 40fps mode but to be very honest I have a very hard time to see actually any difference in regards of resolution Shadow quality draw distance and stuff like that it looks like both versions are very similar and now let's take a closer look on the frames per seconds on the frame rate what we get in the 40 FPS mode and of course we expecting 40 FPS and what we get is a almost 40 FPS experience on both platforms just occasionally we have a little bit of a drop down to 38 39 but this is very very rare to be very honest [Music] [Music] okay so what is my conclusion Now what is my summary now in regards of the 40 FPS mode in Star Wars Outlaws and for me it's clearly the best way to play this game because it combines actually both worlds in regards of your picture quality Fidelity and performance because for me personally the the 30fps mode is unplayable on an OLED screen despite the fact that we have the sharpest picture in regards of picture resolution uh it doesn't make any any difference because as soon you turn around you move you don't have Fidelity anymore because of 30 FPS 60 FPS mode yes you lose a lot of not a lot but you lose sharpness okay so it's visible when you do a proper side by side comparison but the higher frame already is is much more pleasant to my so now we have a 40 FPS mode which offers a higher Fidelity in regards of resolution in regards of details uh texture quality stuff like that but we have 40 FPS and if you now think that 40 FPS is not a big step up from 30 FPS it is because we're not just talking about 10 frames per seconds more we also talking in in regards of the frame times in regards uh of uh input leg so we have sudden instead of 33 milliseconds um frame time we have 25 milliseconds U frame time which is much it's better the response time is better input leg is lower and stuff like that so in total the 40 FPS mode is is so much better than the 30 FPS mode especially on an olded screen I wouldn't say it's like day and night but it's suddenly playable okay my friends so that's it for this video and I as always say thank you very much for watching me thank you very much for supporting me please don't forget to like share and subscribe and I see you in my next video bye
