iPhone 16: AI, Cameras, Cellular, Wi-Fi, Pricing & Deals | T-Mobile Verizon AT&T Boost Mobile

you Google search iPhone 16 this is where this takes you uh they hit you with you know Apple intelligence right off the bat that's what this is going to be about the thing about phones in 2024 and smartphones have been around now for couple of decades and you know they're they're mature in their form you have to sell people on features you have to sell people on uniqueness all phones have essentially similar Hardware so you got to try to stick out and the way that you're going to do that is with experience which I think is what you know Apple wants to deliver with apple intelligence right their Pricing & Availability AI pricing we've got the iPhone 16 coming in at $799 pre-order start on September 13th so it's just a few days away and it says Apple Intelligence coming this fall so that tells me it's not going to be there when you first get the phone which is kind of unfortunate so there there's probably some fine tuning they got to do to make sure it's working properly there might be some features that aren't done yet and and may require some some testing or something I don't know uh but available starting um September 20th pre-orders open up on the 13th of September says 5:00 a.m. Pacific time so if you're on the Eastern side of things um you can get it a little bit later in the morning uh let's see here highlights it's all about Apple intelligence right here's some colors for the iPhone 16 might be something Colors for iPhone 16 that you like there I see what appears to be you know your standards your black your white they've got the pink in tow let's see what they're calling these things here um got like the Thanos purple I've always liked the Thanos you know and it looks like some kind of like a a mint or sea green of some sort okay here's that color so you got the black you have the white here's the pink if colors matter to you you know some people don't really care too much about colors they're going to get a case anyway so um what do they call this teal okay they call that teal and then this is called ultramarine I ain't going to lie I kind of like the teal and the ultramarine I wouldn't mind the white or the black the only one I'm not digging is pink I don't do pink phones it's just I just don't um color doesn't really matter all that much guys to some people I suppose maybe you rock your phones naked I don't know yeah so it looks like you know the iOS Features, Improved Siri the the OS kind of like what Josh is saying is kind of the limiting factor with with the AI features a new era for Siri it looks like possibly we might have some improved Siri performance I've never been a big fan of Siri I've always thought that the uh the the Google Assistant was always 10 steps ahead um looks like some accessibility stuff in there okay so here's another feature that was highlighted and I'm a big fan Camera Button Is Fantastic, Camera Systems of so what Apple did did was they they created a hardware button on the side of the phone that's basically giving you full camera control so let me show you guys what they did with the hardware and and how this works what I think they're going to let you do is launch the camera with the button you know take photos with the button obviously record stop and and and go with the video recording but I think the emphasis is going to be the control with the slider kind of feature with that touch content so sliding with like the Zoom uh you know those types of granular controls which I think is pretty cool and that's pretty Innovative I'm a big fan of this so I I take a lot of photos probably more so than videos but this might make recording video a little bit more integrated right uh especially with zoom I I could see this becoming a really nice feature to some people probably might be one of the reasons they would buy the phone especially if they're into photography and video and this is probably the type of of Hardware that could be like updated in time where it could perform even better and get some unique upgrades you know if they they send updates to maybe allow it to do different things and and more things in the future so that's kind of exciting actually uh here it is in action kind of showing how it works it is positioned not centered which kind of makes sense so your finger's a little bit closer to it in video mode click to start recording a light press opens controls like Zoom I wonder if you can like customize this so that way what you want it to do is how it behaves and and kind of launches or takes photos or whatever like what if you could set it is kind of what I'm saying so like the customizing it would be kind of cool all right so click to launch the camera app click again to instantly take a photo that should make taking photos very very easy uh this is not a new feature right phones have been doing this for a while uh that's something that you know I mean the motorolas of the world and the pixels have have been doing this for a long time but it's good to see a dedicated Hardware button and having you know a slider and things like that that's pretty sick all right so I'm I'm with it new camera system so we've got probably what I'm assuming is updated sensors and some additional performance features all right it says here Zoom with the 2x Optical quality telephoto I'm not sure what last year's had in terms of Hardware but that could be an improvement that you might be wanting to upgrade to and I think that's how you frame this you know if I have an iPhone 14 or a 13 or a 12 is this my upgrade you know probably there's probably enough Hardware improvements on here it might be worth it Ultra wide camera focus on the little things in the bigger picture all right so they got some of the features here and stuff like that okay that's the macro lens and the halfa and the 1X a little up close and personal spatial capture okay cool audio mix Audio Mix, Recording Features okay so this is kind of cool it says utilizing Ai and spatial audio capture audio mix lets you adjust the way voices sounding your videos using three different voice options so what they're calling inframe studio and cinematic so you got some cool camera features you got some cool recording features I'm already kind of liking this with respect to the feature set um more photography stuff looks like some built-in filters that's probably processed through AI um let's see here anything else we should know so so far everything has been about cameras everything has been about AI now kind of as I'm scrolling down the page I see a little bit here about the A18 Chipset Upgrade iPhone 16 chip the S so um this is the a18 chip 60% faster than the iPhone 12 50% faster than the iPhone 13 50% faster than the iPhone 14 30% faster than the iPhone 15 they don't mention anything about the pros because they're not comparing Pros here okay so we've got improvements with Longer Battery Life, Faster Charging Rates the chip more powerful okay here's the battery life I've always told you guys battery life is important longer battery life iPhone 16 has been designed to make room for a larger battery which works together with the a18 to deliver a big boost in battery life even with so many features so you can game binge and rock on all right let's see what else it says here 27 hours of video playback on the 16 plus okay so that's the bigger phone it's going to have bigger battery up to 22 hours video playback on the iPhone 16 okay so a little bit less mag safe charger for even faster wireless charging up to 25 watts with a 30 wat power adapter enabling up to 50% charge in around 30 minutes so that's good we've got more battery capacity we've got a more power efficient chipset and we've got faster charging so we're we're fans of this all right let's compare it so let's say you have an iPhone 12 which by the way like older phones your battery life is already probably in the pits anyways Comparing Older iPhone Battery Life so um upgrading gets you an improvement there all right compared to the iPhone 12 you got five more hours of video playback 10 more hours if you get the 16 plus three more hours compared to a 13 eight more hours if you get the 16 plus the 14 gen you're getting two more hours on the 16 and then seven more hours if you get the 16 plus and it looks to be about the same on the 15 15 plus four Less hours oh okay that's interesting so the 15 plus still gets you better battery life than a 16 but you do get extra battery life on a 16 plus so you get one more hour of usage or video playback maybe it's just a slightly bigger capacity all right durable Materials & Design design uh Aerospace grade aluminum I've never known own iPhones to be durable I'm not sure about this why would this one be any different color infused glass on the back like that's a glass sandwich you better get a case that that glass will shatter ceramic Shield two times tougher than any smartphone glass I don't know man I everybody every time I look at people's iPhones I see crack displays so whatever you're doing ain't good enough okay there's the five vibrant colors again I think everything is good except the pink everything else is fantastic all right there's the action button iOS 18 okay here's another feature satellite we don't have cell Satellite Connection Features service or Wi-Fi iPhone 16 can connect to a satellite so you can stay in touch or get the assistance you need I think this works for the last two generations you guys can correct me in the in the live chat if that's not indeed the case so now you've got the iPhone 16 Generations satellite enabled uh the 15 and I think the 14 as well sending and receiving messages and tapbacks when you're off the grid right from the messages app so it's fully integrated roadside assistance via satellite can get you help for things like flat tires or a dead car battery iPhone will connect you with a roadside assistance provider who can dispatch help to your exact location even if you're off the grid so I'm a big fan of the emergency use case um so and look it's not like you're going to be able to connect to a legitimate Network and you'll be watching your Netflix while you're out in the freaking you're at in the middle of Boon's Farm or you're climbing Mount Everest uh safety features including 911 that you test it crash detection still on there and then a lot of recycled materials I saw some of that on the web page as well uh accessibility I think Apple does a nice nice job there and you know really I think what's left for us to kind of do is you know you're you're you're probably looking at the cost breakdown um as a consumer obviously this matters so iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pricing From Apple let me get rid of me real quick so you guys can see the screen better all right here we go iPhone 16 is priced at $799 with financing at $332 a month for two years so that'd be on 24 installments the iPhone 16 Pro comes in at $999 $41.66 over 24 months of installments that's in and of itself like that's pretty standard that I don't I don't think much has changed you guys can correct me if I'm wrong I think that's the pricing from the last couple Generations uh not much has change there so I'm happy you know stuff could be more expensive and we're not fans of that we like things kind of kind of staying the same we're getting cheaper I'm sure a lot of you out there are going to probably trade in through carriers and uh I'm here here's a little bit of difference between the cameras uh the nonpr model has a 2X Camera, Chip, Battery Differences For Pros telephoto and a 12 megapixel Ultra wide with a 48 megapixel Fusion camera so dual camera setup the pro gets you the three camera setup you so you get the 48 megapixel Fusion camera a 5x telephoto so it gives you a little bit better Zoom um and then 48 megapixel Ultra wide so you've got potentially a lot more data in your photos with the pro so if you are a camera snob and you really want the best the latest and greatest from Apple's camera systems you probably want to get a pro and uh you're getting a bigger battery too okay so that's the difference between the 16 and the 16 Pro so for bucks or excuse me 200 bucks more you're getting a it looks like an additional core on the GPU um on the so what they're calling the a18 on the 16 regular 16 device and then you're getting the a18 pro chip gets you an additional core on the GPU you're getting a better camera system you're getting a bigger battery you make a decision if that's you know worth getting for the additional 200 Buck looks like the colors are a little different too let let's just take a look quickly at those in case that's that matters to you oh come on with the pro stuff come on with the pro stuff all right this iPhone 16 Pro Colors looks like some kind of like a copper or bronze of some sort uh okay let's see here here's the colors okay so we have black titanium that's pretty nice we have white titanium kind of looks like a silver we have natural titanium reminiscent of the old space gray if you guys remember that and then you have desert titanium which is like a bronze or like a rusted metal color color it looks pretty slick actually all right titanium is the Pro Differences, Enhancements theme iPhone 16 Pro Max has the largest iPhone display ever looks like they Shrunk The bezels a bit thinnest borders Maybe they made the phone a little bit skinnier you could definitely see the camera camera humps are pretty legitimate that's pretty sizable super retina xdr displays so you're getting a better display out of the the pro phones looks like maybe some additional waterproofing on the pro I don't know they put it in there I'm not sure AI we know that camera controls uh okay so the camera system 4K 120 frames per second Dolby Vision looks like they're reserving it for the pro model of the phones um adjusting playback speed audio performance improvements there's those some of those features that we were talking about earlier okay so so good you can shoot a music video using the phone yo shout out to Google who did that first Apple kind of getting inspired in the same way I suppose okay then they got this guy wearing a pink poncho or something out in the middle of I don't even know where all right color grading cool all right fun okay 16 core neural engine new six core CPU 20% increase in total system memory bandwidth so that should technically allow it to be more powerful and new six core GPU on the on the graphics for gaming and such all right here are some of the specs 60% faster than the iPhone 12 Pro 40% faster than the 13 Pro 30% faster than the 14 pro 15% faster than last year's Pro gaming oh snap okay so you got game mode built into iOS 18 better sustained frame rates that's going to probably destroy your battery life but and it's probably going to play real nicely with the controllers and the airpods so it'll it'll be a good experience but don't expect your battery life to hold up up to four more hours of battery life okay that's great we like battery life 10 more hours than the 12 Pro five more hours than the 13 Pro four more hours than the 14 pro and four more hours than the 15 Pro all right and it looks like you got a lot of the same features there's the satellite stuff the Recycled ey tracking okay this is cool all right great uh what do you guys say we go to the tech specs I think we should all right so here's your colors on the pros oh capacity we'll we'll go back to the 16 and look at the capacities uh capacity on wow so for a 12 Pro or excuse me 16 Pro your entry level storage is 128 gigs so that's the $9.99 Pro Model Storage, Display & Camera Specs, IP Rating price point and then they got a 256 a 512 and a one terabyte option and then for the pro Max it looks like 16 Pro Max 256 512 and one Terra so they don't give you the option for 128 gigs size and weight uh you got a hefty one in the 16 Pro max 227 G and then you've got 199 G on the regular size Pro display size difference 6.3 in to 6.9 in both are using super retina xdr displays both screens are OLED pixel density appears to be the same 460 PPI um and it looks like like a 2K display definitely more than a 1080p looks more like a sort of like a 4K sort of dynamic Island always on display promotion HDR true tone wide color haptic touch 1,000 nits Max brightness 1,600 nits Peak brightness in HDR 2,000 nits Peak brightness outdoor one nit minimum brightness that is freaking dim so that's actually that's a cool feature it's going to actually look decent when you're in a dark room it won't get too bright and and light you up ip68 for water resistance Apple intelligence a18 Pro chip six core CPU with two performance and four efficiency cores new six core GPU new 16 core neural engine here's all the camera specs you guys can check that out on your own if you like here's the video recording features 4K Dolby at 24 FPS 25 FPS 30 FPS 60 FPS and one 100 FPS um it says also 120 FPS okay uh 1080p Dolby and it gives you all the frame rate stuff cinematic mode at 4K HDR at 30 that'll probably look really nice action mode does 2.8k at 60fps uh anything [Music] else um four studio quality mics you Pro Models Are Much Better Performers actually might want to get the pro phone if you want to get better recording out of your iPhone so so far there are reasons to get a pro definitely uh it looks like you're getting better video better photography better recording audio recording uh better displays bigger batteries that's what you're getting for the extra 200 bucks true depth camera okay Apple card peace of mind okay here we are uh you guys are probably were waiting for this these are the cellular specs iPhone 16 Cellular 5G Bands & Wi-Fi Specs all right so the says here that there are three models or no two models for the 16 Pro a383 a384 I'm not sure you know if those are just geographies or whatever uh but in terms of the United States and the cellular carriers looks like we have everything here so important things that I can see here uh we do have AT&T covered I see 2 I see N5 n12 whenever AT&T is ready n14 whenever AT&T and first net is ready um for uh Verizon also N2 also N5 for T-Mobile it's it's they don't use N2 they use n25 and that's enabled n26 that covers whoever gets 800 MHz from Dish AK T-Mobile whatever n29 covers you for for Dish and AT&T n30 covers you for AT&T n66 covers you for AT&T Verizon T-Mobile and dish n70 for dish n71 for Dish N T-Mobile I don't know if nobody uses n75 or 676 here uh from the tdd standpoint we have n41 enabled we have n48 okay that's exciting so that that's Verizon 5G ready we have n77 all right so we got the cand piece for all the major carriers and what we think is going to be n79 uh from the 4.9 gigahertz all right 5G millimeter wave is enabled oh Rejoice 5G mmWave Enabled, Moose Was Wrong! people all right somebody needs to reach out and find Moose and put him on a witness protection program he said that we were not g to have millimeter wave on these iPhones moose heavy dose of crow man you're getting a fullsize plate extra large super size dog all right n258 n260 and n261 the n260 is the 39 GHz Verizon and AT&T deploy it I think T-Mobile does too very sparingly but they do and n261 is um I think 28 gahz and uh we got a couple of a couple of bands there uh let's see here uh LT everything is there uh with the exception of one key band is missing and that is band 46 unlicensed Spectrum this is now multiple phones that have released over the last couple of years yeah no no band 46 anymore Manny and and we saw this with the pixels we saw this with the galaxies and it looks like the iPhone has followed suit I don't I don't think anybody's really connect in to that stuff um so yeah moose was capping Big Time moose moose was off on the call he was definitely off I I think he he was thinking because the pro model iPads didn't have it he just assumed that the iPhones wouldn't and I just didn't see it that way all models are 5G enabled sub6 GHz WiFi 7, Wireless Specs and millimeter wave with uh 4x4 mimo gigabit L LTE with 4x4 myo and laa that that's really just ban 48 WiFi 7 oh my goodness guys this is awesome the only problem is it's only 2x2 myo but Wi-Fi 7 is great so your Wi-Fi is about to get faster on these new iPhones that puts it right in line with the flagships from the galaxies and the pixels second gen Ultra wideband chip I don't even know if that means anything to people NFC with reader mode all right cool um I don't know if anything else changed anywhere else voice over LTE they didn't put voice over NR I don't know that might be something we have to figure out um does this phone do voice over NR because it says here voice over LTE I don't know if it does voice over NR all right those are formats Siri so you got your volume up down on the left Button Placements, Charging Port, Wireless Charge, Charge Rate hand side what is that where it is on the yeah that's where it is on the last year's model all right so volume up down on the left side the action button is just North of the volume up down and then at the bottom you have the uh or on the opposite side you have camera control side button and then you can see like the cutout for the speaker USBC in tow built-in microphones built-in stereo speakers okay USB connector it says USB 3 which is up to 10 gabit per second transfer rate um let's see mag safe 25 watt with 30 watt adapter ch2 up to 15 watt regular Chi 7 and 12 Watts 50% charge in around 30 minutes with the 20 watt adapter or paired with USBC charging cable or 30 watt adapter with the mag safe charger okay cool all right and then we got all these features and all these apps um anything else we got to know anything else let's see what comes in the Box you get a you get a Phone & USB C Cable in Box cable USBC charging cable 3et long and you get a phone whatever documentation okay um let's see here you could Finance through apple or you can Finance through a carrier now something that's important Carrier Financing Deals about the carriers I'll show you guys up here AT&T right up here T-Mobile right up there Verizon right up there but look who has joined the party Boost Mobile wow that's that's awesome Pro they will give you 220 the TR the tradein value on the phone is actually not that great but I don't know I guess if you didn't want to keep your phone you know I don't know uh nwin said what about the iPhone se3 will they take the iPhone se3 where is that right here boost will give you 100 bucks AT&T will give you se3 where is that little phone AT&T will give you 350 T-Mobile will give you 500 on their expensive plan 400 for their less expensive plan let's check out the Verizon Verizon Deals Depends on Plans deals all right these are the Verizon deals 14 pro Max they will give you 999 in trading credit on the unlimited ultimate 830 on the unlimited plus okay so they're they're kind of sort of like what T-Mobile is doing with the two plans let's see what they'll give you for a 13 Pro 99 999 and 830 okay so basically the same let's go 12 Pro 999 830 so it looks like all 5G iPhones are pulling the same value basically at Verizon let's let's let's dig into the crates let's go back to the 11 Pro that's an LT phone they'll give you 999 and 830 wow and Just for kicks and giggles the XX Max I don't know if anybody still has that 89 999 830 where where does it drop off XR maybe nope they'll give you everything wow Verizon's giving you the whole shebang here's an iPhone 10 full value it's any iPhone eight plus same S Plus same it doesn't matter you're just trading it any any iPhone um chame it's Wi-Fi 7 but it's 2 by two myo so kind of a kind of a let down I think boost is the move guys they got the best deal you don't even need a trade in you can get a free phone you just got to be on their $65 month plan all right so storage options they're they're they're pricing you $100 Storage & Prices for each upgrade 128 so you know that's the entry on the on on the um 16 Pro you want the extra storage you could double up for $199 uh 12.99 for the 512 and a terabyte is 14.99 wow choose or Carrier apple plus coverage all right so I have a 14 pro and and I How I'm Buying My iPhone have an unlocked device and I'm I'm not messing with the carrier deals personally that's not my style uh let's see what it would cost me to get a 16 Pro Max let's get it in white titanium let's get it in a 512 storage uh let's do a trade in let's see what they'll give me for my 14 pro Max yes it's in good condition so they're going to give me 500 bucks okay so they'll give me 500 the phone is priced at 1,400 uh I'm still financing 900 bucks plus taxes that is not a cheap phone guys I know why people look for the deals from the carriers you know oh man maybe I want to get a smaller phone this year I've been messing with the Maxes only because it gives you like the better better battery life you know all right all phones are are eim only dual SIM eim and they they E Sim & Dual Sim Dual Connected run at the same time so so dual SIM enabled and do we need to know anything else do you guys have any other questions on the phones is there anything else you guys want me to look at any features you want me to take a look at I know they dropped some other devices I know there were some headphones but we don't typically cover those here on the channel oh they're still selling the iPhone se you get it for $429 the iPhone All Apple iPhone Models 15 is now $6.99 the iPhone 16 is $799 and the iPhone 16 Pro is $999 and then the pro Max is1 999 I believe is that right iPhone 16 Pro they got A plus phone now don't they they've been doing the plus modems and Cellular Modem: QC SD X70 & X75 (tear down?) video encoding uh I don't think they do they disclose modem Technologies I don't think they do so that's going to require a tear down uh video encoding I think we we did that I think camera yeah here's all the video recording um video formats H VC h.264 and proes so those are your three three formats Manny what cell modem the 16 Pro Max has what would it be comparable to I'm guessing it's the x70 I think or what is it the x75 I hope they use the most most recent one okay so iPhone 16 cellular modem maybe we could find it maybe somebody has it says here according to Google's AI I'll share this tab with you guys this is according to google don't quote me people always coming back into the comments the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are expected to have the Snapdragon x75 5G modem the 16 and 16 plus are expected to have 16 Pro Max in My Cross Hairs, Unlocked From Apple the x70 mo the x70 model 75 is qualcomm's top tier for high-end smartphones and the first to support 5G Advanced maybe so I don't know anyways that is the stream that is what we know currently uh if you guys are wondering I don't know if you are you might be uh I will be buying I think I'll be buying a 16 Pro Max I'm going to splurge for the bigger display I'm going to splurge for the better Hardware I'm going to splurge for the better battery life hopefully it's worth the extra spend and I'm going to splurge to get to try to get the additional storage I'm probably going to trade in my iPhone my older one and then Finance the rest of it through Apple over the 24 installments I don't mess with carriers I don't like my phone be unlocked if I was going to mess with a carrier I would go with the Verizon deal uh because that phone will be unlocked in 60 days no questions asked and um yeah I'd rather not have to deal with that nonsense from AT&T and uh and T-Mobile and don't quote me on the the Boost Mobile piece I don't know what their lock policy is I think it's I think it's whenever you pay off the phone or or whatever but um anyways it's a pretty interesting phone guys I'm intrigued I'm interested I don't know what the AI is going to do for me but it's an iPhone and it looks Should You Upgrade to iPhone 16? to me like it's going to have some really cool camera features and it's improved in a lot of ways so it might be worth an upgrade I think for anybody who's in an iPhone 12 it's a slam dunk to get a 16 I think if you are coming out of a 13 I think it's a worthy upgrade as well 14 is a a a possible upgrade I think if you have a 14 there's enough in this phone that wasn't in the 14 generation that could warn an upgrade I think especially with battery degradation overtime battery health it might be time to upgrade after a couple years um but if you have a 15 you might be standing Pat you might not be looking to upgrade and spend the additional money and trade in and lose value on devices but I guess if you can get the right deal it might be worth it best deal goes to Charlie uran and Charlie mobile at Boost uh Verizon I would say has a has a good deal as well AT&T obviously great deals for new and existing customers so as I rank them Boost Mobile has the best deal number one uh let's put AT&T number two uh let's do Verizon number three and let's do T-Mobile number four uh they had they had I don't know their trade-ins are the worst their the plans really change how you get upgraded and and things like that so yeah I think if you have an iPhone 15 um what is it uh unaa nice I think an iPhone 15 you're probably good uh no no need to rush but if you have a 14 it might be a worthy upgrade and I think anything older than a 14 I think this is a worthy upgrade but uh tell me what you guys think let me know uh comment you know as you're watching this on replay and and and such I'll be reading your comments I'll
