quite a few things in this episode we have so many different ways that we can go we have so many different areas that we can access uh in the last episode I honestly got quite a little overwhelmed with it with it all going on everywhere which way that we can go uh so immediately starting off we have the acid that we can get through now I'm going to go up here and we're going to actually see what's down in this vertical shaft and then we're going to go back down here into the junk pit immediately thereafter I don't I don't want to I won't keep you on your toes and you know any longer we'll go ahead and take care and see what's going to be within that and then after that I think I want to get back up to oh where the [ __ ] was it oh Jesus Christ this map's so gargantuan oh it's up here it's up here it's up here it's up here it's it was right I think it was right here yeah right here in the resting grounds we're going to go we're going to go back up there and actually take care of that as well I think I'm going to I think I'm going to go ahead and probably dream dream gate our way up there when we get to it but for the F for the for for the time being the first thing we're going to do is definitely see what's in that what's what what's across that Acid Bath interestingly enough and I this is there's so many things I loved about this [ __ ] game design uh this this is that little acid Gap right is one of the first things that I remember encountering where it was like okay this is going to be something that I need something else to get to to be able to access and it's just it it just gives it just gives it gives the game so much more life and and and the fact that they're able to have the player revisiting so an you know one area so many times when you think about it like on paper that sounds terrible right you don't want any game to kind of like make you backt track and go through the same area over and over and over and over and over again but between the outstanding art style and the atmosphere and the way that everything is kind of interconnected and the upgrades that you get that that that kind of like breathes new life into the previous sections that you've gone through it's just so freaking mly well done it impresses me and it will it continues to impress me uh what why the [ __ ] do I have that marked what is there why is that marked I need to know what's I need to oh is that the Acid Bath that is that is that the Acid Bath am I being a dumb Dum and thinking that that's a market that we uh hold on hold on oh God damn it why be fun when I reach like 30,000 and I have no idea where our little mbell Banker bug went as she took the 2550 go that I granted her we have not bumped into her yet again I have to assume and hope that we will at some point we are almost there I believe this is where is this where we first bumped into the cloth's no longer here for us and uh my friend also pointed out in in a couple of the previous episodes I I came across that room in the uh infected Crossroads with the heartbeat and why am I going over the acid I don't need to worry about the acid anymore I am an acidic resistant bug now his his his surmising is that is that that hey guys hey mushroom mans God can I get a thought out without being distracted uh I think the heartbeat there is the ambience of of of the of the infection being pulsed through the veins of of of of the of the mushrooms spores and and fun guys and stuff which I really appreciate that that that was a very thumpy heartbeat I swimmer I swimmer okay I think we're almost there there it is there it is let us invest in the gates and see what's on over here now hello this this a completely new area for us goes way on the UPS okay okay I'm going such a small thing and it feels so obvious but it does so much to enhance the gameplay and it it also makes so much sense there we go that one wasn't too bad that one was pretty simple for us what does you say for us huh what is the very vague La you're going to give us misted Caverns noxious scores feacher okay well obviously it's talking about like the caverns that we're in now with the noxious Flores in the midst but teacher huh teacher that's very clearly referring to some some kind of NPC but oh [ __ ] this is [ __ ] can't oh [ __ ] oh [ __ ] oh [ __ ] oh [ __ ] oh [ __ ] [ __ ] the fog Canyon I have been wanting to get to this side of the fog Canyon nearly since the very beginning of the game we're getting into in we're getting back into the crossroads here where what what where we freed one of one of the first caterpillars that we that we ever came across if not the very first oh [ __ ] okay okay okay okay so this is this is going to connect back up to here I don't believe there's anything imperative that we wanted to do back up here in the crossroads for the time for the time being I [ __ ] love this I love this so goddamn much oh my God okay um let us get back down so so what has me so compelled to do this but also compelled not to do this in addition to the cornerer in addition to the B Canyon being one of the one of the first areas that I came across and was more or less completely blocked off from exploring um that's Coral's mask I know that's corel's mask it's it it there's no way that is not corel's mask which means quirl has some kind of tie-in to the dreamers and I really want to know what that's all about and the fact and in retrospect the fact that he was so instantly recognizable as a fan favorite based on your guys' comments and stuff like that I whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa oh I didn't want to slide why are we sliding why are we sliding I did not wish to slide I'm just I'm just I'm just doing a little double checkings okay so views here oh my goodness and of course these these so the little things on the ground I think become these which eventually become the big the big jellies it seems like the the the enemy design and monster design in the in this game generally kind of follows that that rule and I I really like that goodbye that was cute I'm going to do it again I shoulda and then I run run run run then we leave filled out in such a way that we will not really require the Wayward Compass anymore or we'll we'll have explored and I only swap in the waiver Compass when I need to find a particular location that I'm that I'm stupid and forgot which will free up one so that would give us three we're kind of close to maybe being able to experiment with with with that with that Soul Eater charm uh [ __ ] was to be that junk pit we are quite a ways away from that now unfortunately I'm still I'm still going to get to get to to head there at some point to get there at some point do since we're this close to a down to that and the enemies are not organized in such a way that I can hgo my way up there I have no idea what this is this this this object sticking out of the ground it's drawn by eye several times is it a piece of cornerer I see the cornerer paper is cornerer been shedding his shell a little bit every time we've seen him as well all right so so so so for the time being I'm I'm assuming that there's not much we can do at the fck canyon beyond beyond getting into this newer area of it and exploring what we have there's a little area up there the re the entire reason I came there is so I could do this I I guess I will do I guess I'll mark it I'll start marking these with the orange I I I I I really don't want to use a different color for this for two purposes but or a different color for one purpose rather but but I have no choice all my all my blue all my blue blue badges are are being used up at the moment I don't want to forget that I need to get back into that part of the area and explore what's there excuse me excuse me excuse me excuse me excuse me excuse me I think These Guys these guys seem to be for me to regenerate a little bit of Soul perhaps and whatever's going to kill me in regard regarding the coral room in here multiple times and I'll have to do my bench runs right okay so he he appears to just be hanging out at this exact location for the time being and which is another reason why I don't want to immediately enter that because I feel like maybe if I enter that he's going to go El he's going to only be in that location and we bumped into him in so many different places I don't I don't want to miss out on any opportunities to bump into him elsewhere so we want to go up in this way excuse me excuse me excuse me what an excellently Des design explodes by the way I did not mean to it's very satisfying to hear like the of the jellyfish not not not when it's against me though not when I'm cut within it it's not that Pleasant so we're milet there uh and she was just a husk at that point like like any of the other husks that we bumped into that's H oh [ __ ] oh I need to go this way conveyor belts I need to go in the way that you are resisting a tank tank tank tank yeah she she just became one of them and that was it and like you see yeah this [ __ ] is just walking up into my melee range oh Mila I I it wouldn't have it wouldn't be hitting me so [ __ ] hard if there wasn't that seemingly antenal design aspect where she wasn't hitting me she would not get close enough to actually hit me oh Mila oh I'm going to rest of the bench now that that that'll that be the wrap for today's episode of the holl night I feel like that that's a really good spot to wrap it up uh we got into a lot of more Explorations we bumped up to our buddy Coral again and we took out the fluke boss down in the waterways once more I'm sorry you know to my friend for upgrading the nail and you not getting the entertainment of seeing me actually struggle with that I can bro honestly props to you for even beating it with with with the Lesser upgraded nail because I can very easily see like you getting super overwhelmed even even if you managed to slap down All Those ads like you what opportunities are you going to get to actually attack the boss with all of those ads coming at you if you can't kill them fast enough it's like the entire fight itself is kind of like this this constant uh DPS check which I I I I I I can definitely enjoy from a design perspective a part of me is a little sad that that I had the upgrading de because it definitely Tri it definitely 100% trivialize that boss's mechanics like entire gimmick but at the same time having that upgrade in now was super [ __ ] fun because it allowed me to just kind of goofy juggle on top of the top of the boss's head oh yeah and we got the additional charm for that as well and we we bumped into an old friend Mila [Music] and God damn this is such a good [ __ ] game I can't I can't understate just how creatively genius a touch like Mila not getting close enough to actually hit you I got close I'm the one that put I literally leaned forward and said just a little slap Mila and I have to imagine the part of me that didn't want to that the part of her that didn't want to hit me felt bad for that I I didn't want to but I I feel like I feel like it was the right thing to do to to release she was just a husk she was just a husk at that point and there was nothing that we could do to to to to help her not be a husk other than releasing her uh perhaps now her dream Essences um will be free to roam about maybe we can collect them at some point I I don't know in any case let me let me let me let me let me not ramble and such as always if
