[Music] Aloha Welcome To Paradise AA Hawaii just outside of Honolulu and the home of the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors a tremendous setting and a spectacular game that we have in store we're really looking forward to this matchup you've got to team that's made its way into the top 25 now trying to pass an all important road test as we'll see the number 18 team in the country the Florida state seals taking on a squad hoping to prevent another L this [Applause] week the off lining up for a first down play Here We running back searching for a hole tackle is made at the 28 after a pick up of three sometimes people say if you're good enough what's a big deal about going on the road but if you're not careful you might find out in a spot like this one guys yeah no doubt about it this is a hostile environment and you know you're going to be getting the opponent's aame for this one they've circled this one all off seon so they better be ready to bring it today there and the hardest thing to do in college football is to go on the road everything about it changes and you want to shut this crowd up early you don't want to give them belief cuz if it starts to build throughout the game look out the seol get it past the sticks yeah a nice job dialing up that short yardage situation play call there David they needed one yard they picked up two yeah great job up front great job by the back knowing where they need to go nice having a hole you can get through and not have to just do it on your own as a running back quarterback reacting to what the D is showing makes the catch it's West he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense the SS are flying down the field here's the handoff they finally make the stop but the big run is played ready to move those sticks for the first down ready to fire from the [Applause] pistol off the play fake on first down to throw and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again from the gun they'll give it on the inside yeah and the running back didn't get much here but you know you clearly want to always establish the tempo run the football be consistent make that defense physically Meet The [Applause] Challenge on third down going up top a strike downfield and he's not going to get there the defense Stands Tall and makes the stop right there I think you and the seminal with the first and [Applause] 10 he's looking to throw it here comes the rush and they've got it wrapped up at the 28 just a great job job defensively making him go through his progressions and he really didn't have time to do it and that's exactly what you do in zone coverage you dropping your spots you read the quarterback's eyes make sure you take away that quick stuff and a great job rushing the passer and getting the sack put it right on him sweet play good pickup and they'll move the change with the first down the semal have taken it inside the 20 the receivers often will run their route based on a side adjustment using his legs it's Lucas you know as a defense you kind of want to force the give on the RPO you want them to run the football and you can tell maybe the quarterback wishes he pulled this small game but some information you gathered maybe for the next time you get to run an RPM can't make the gram as he was going for six right there oh the offense just not able to come up with that you knew that was going to be a bang bang play right they're taking a shot in The End Zone that's going to have to meet a contested catch on the back end but he wasn't able to come up with it because of the hit scanning the field it's horn can't make the connection on third down thanks to that tough hard noos pass defense and now it's Fourth Down excellent field position here for the offense [Applause] going up top on first down looking to the big tight end he makes a catch the stop is made but this offense is threatening first and goal from the nine defense is backed up shadow of the goal post trying to defend their own end zone and he'll finish the run in the end zone [Applause] touchdown first down here for the offense [Applause] looking to move it through the air the short hands it's Williams makes that one pay off and they finally get him down at the 38 it'll be first down and the simol in the hurry up oh that is a rope for the completion in this offense I'll tell you you think about great seminal quarterbacks the three WS wanky Winston Ward dudes that could changed the game Heisman Trophy winners every defensive coordinator was scared every time time they had to play the seminal because of that vaed passing attack and this guy I think he has D coordinator seeing ghost because this guy can play at a high level he's back to throw on second down wide open downfield and he was loose and in the open field and on his way a tremendous pick up on that one from the 14 yd line it's first and 10 he'll do it himself that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there going to work in the Red Zone they can pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone looking for a man it's horn fires to the middle makes the grab and what an individual effort making a beautiful catch diving out and snagging it ree just laid his body out and that's a huge gain after the spectacular reception BL the blue [Applause] that's the end of the quarter and Florida state has the lead and we've come to the end of the first as we take a moment to check out the stats so far heading in the opposite directions now as we Crank It Up in the [Applause] second starting off this quarter close enough to smell the goal line quarterback making adjustments with his [Applause] receivers out of the gun looking to throw caught in the back field it's focus and the catch and run into the end zone touchdown [Applause] SS offense getting set for first [Applause] down he wants to throw unloads to the wide out on target to the left plenty of room on that play and they find their way to the 36 well nice job hauling that pass in I'll tell you he keeps defenses on their heels he really does his speed is so scary and I think back to my days in college we used to play against the seminal when they had Peter war and Leia schools and because of their gamebreaking ability it put so much pressure on our defense I'll tell you this guy's good enough to I think have played on that seminal offense and he would have gotten some looks could he this guy can make some plays dropping back it's [Applause] h working that left side now and they'll stop in just short of the first down just inches away from moving the sticks Here Comes third and short from the 27 this defense trying to make them settle for a field goal trying to pick it up on the ground finally pulled down but not before moving the change for a first down and the NES are moving quickly down the field here we go looking for space it's Lucas and he could not get loose on the Run stopping the run is about physicality it's about I'm bigger than you I'm stronger than you up front really nice job by the defense showing their strength bowing up stuffing the Run receivers telling the quarterback what they see on second down wants to throw it nice job of avoiding the sack and picking up a few on the run a third and long coming up here third down [Applause] coming from the gun wants to pass into the end zone and it's caught touchdown NOS no step back in week three they have been sharp as they extend the lead that touchdown gives this team a pretty significant lead at this point and that's what you want you want to start fast you want everything to come out start clicking make some play plays it doesn't always work that way but when you do man the energy the crowd everybody's into it now the other team better respond [Applause] [Applause] guys here comes that Florida State offense back onto the field looking to throw it's horn now he's going to Glide away from pressure on the run and he'll slide to avoid the big hit Hey listen it's important at that position to be able to be good off schedule everything's easy when it's on time you get the ball out but when things break down they get off schedule You' got to have a guy back there that can make the right decisions he did exactly that the nolles want to move [Applause] quickly from the gun flushed out of the pocket got his man on the right and he'll haul it in and take it to the end zone a first down for the [Applause] offense quarterback changing the plays at the line they're going to open this drive with a pass grabbed behind the line it's Lucas and the defense coming with bad intentions they knock him down for a loss offense gets set for second down the give to the single back and he does a really nice job finding open space and making a good gain before the stop is made here on third down for this offense they'll try to power their way ahead that run epitomizes a veteran Savvy senior who knows how to find Space the 7os will snap it on First and [Applause] 10 he's going to pass snagged in the middle it's West First and he laid the lumber to stop him from getting the first down offense in a bunch formation second down now they'll run the draw fighting off the defender they make the stop but they give up five yards on the run it's down to the 11 boy they'd love to pick up this conversion and go to work with a first and goal [Applause] back to throw it's horn they're bringing heat and this sophomore able to wreak some havoc and get the sack well obviously at this point in the first half the defense is finding themselves in a [Applause] hole offense set on first down now the quarterback changing the original play call trying to start the drive with a pass throws to the wide out that friends is a busted play incomplete didn't connect last time let's see if they throw it again on second down they try to pop a run on the draw they've got him down at the 40 after he ripped off 15 yds now from the 40 it's first and [Applause] 10 he's looking to throw it he'll try to do it himself he scrambled forward and got a few and turned that into a positive play now on second down going to the running game he had all kinds of company as soon as he got and he had to fight his way back just to get to the line of scrimmage line is set on third down [Applause] looking to throw for it and the third down pass is incomplete defense did a great job third and short on the opponent side of the field they're expecting [Applause] quick looking for a productive play on first down looking downfield it's horn fires left got his man good job running that route to get past the sticks because he got nothing after the catch after that completion move the sticks it's first down quarterback checking the play wants to throw on first down going over the top a full dive to hold that one in you know why he's piling up all these yards David because the receivers won't let the ball hit the ground you remember that jamus Winston game we called on third Thursday night did the ball didn't even hit the ground did it it did not two incomplete passes caught out of bounds not a whole lot of progress made there on the short run didn't get much on first down it's second and nine he's looking to throw fires to the wide out into the house touchdown 7 he is Di [Applause] on first down here comes this offense used the play fake now to throw and the pass is incomplete but the flag flies and there was a lot of early contact there the defense trying to be physical in pass coverage took it a little too far and the offense will pick up the first [Applause] down the give is to Williams and this one will be stopped for No Gain if you're going to stop the run game you better be physical up front on the defensive line they've got some MERS they've got some dudes with bad intentions nice play there dropping back it's horn unloads to the wide out it's caught downfield just gashing this defense a big Gainer to the 40 yd Line This offense absolutely humming as they come to the line again the give to the running back from the shotgun really nice stop there from this senior leader didn't get much on first down it's second and nine [Applause] quarterback checking [Applause] off he wants to pass it on second down it's complete to the left brought down at the 25 yd line give him 15 yds on the the pick up and this offense is threatening out of the gun the inside K going to be a gain of about three down to the 21 got three on first down it's second and [Applause] seven he's looking to throw going to try to pop one on the screen they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front wall set up the screen and create some lanes for their running back quick hand off he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three the 7os moving quickly to the line the offense will have to use its first timeout of the half time out L St operating in the Red Zone here on second down nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the carry this will be the eighth play of the drive but a great opportunity for the defense to get off the field on Third and long no secret what he needs here he's got it and still on his feet and they'll get him down inside the five but this offense powering for to score [Applause] [Applause] wasting no time throwing on this drive how about that play to get a hand in there and force the incompletion after that last incompletion here's second and 10 from their own 20 here we go they'll run it from the gun a pick up of eight now to convert this third and two there's just so much for this defense to think about right now they've had strong side runs thrown at them now the counter and they know that this offense can work in the play action off of all these base runs too so much offensive volume this defense needs to worry about at this point in the game and the seals have it with a first and 10 touch pass on the Jet Sweep and I think they'll give him two on that one second and eight coming up kept it on the ground on first down now back to the line quarterback will Audible looking to pass it's horn he's got his man and he's almost to that first down marker there saying he's a little bit short they might want to bring out the sticks and measure but it looks as if he'll be just short of the first down on Third and short the power run here and he's brought down after a nice game I think Jesse and Reese could call offensive plays for any team if they're having this much success on the ground it starts with the ground game right like you can chew up these kind of plays then I can play action later on and take shots but right now defense has first got to stop the run game that's been chewing them up right down the middle and the physical play there forces the incompletion on first down let's see what they've got on second down from the gun they'll try to impose their running game and a nice run there before the defense finally makes the stop they need one yard on third down to keep this one going this will be the eighth play of the drive they'll try to run for it that just never had a chance as they controlled the middle of the this defense just can't get off the field the offense Unstoppable [Applause] from the Red Zone looking for a space buying some timee got away from trouble and got rid of it nice defensive play to get a hand in there and knock it away second down coming up quarterback reacting to what the D is showing squirl squir looking downfield it's horn the throw this time it's complete he's brought down but he's got him inside the 10 first and goal from the eight on the doorstep of cashing it in for the offense wide receiver shows motion quarterback touch pass pass on the Jet Sweep that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there they keep pushing forward now back to work on second and goal from the [Applause] six he's looking to throw touchdown Nos and the beat down has ensued three tight ends in the four on First and 10 jackb they'll run it from the gun they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one didn't get much done on that first play of the drive it's second and 11 he's looking to throw quickly complete and that is good versatility there and a big hit from the backer in pass coverage let's see what call they have on Third and long from the 28th from the gun wants to pass hit as he throws that pass not close as he got thrilled trying to deliver it and it'll bring up fourth down [Applause] got it first down for this offense 29 going to run it it's Lucas picks up a useful 5yd chunk out to the 30 yd line halfway there on first down it's second and five Down Easy leaves it with the running back pretty good job of running to get two there to the 32 offense breaks the Huddle it's third down the receivers often will run their route based on a side [Applause] adjustment back to pass it's horn throws to the wide out got a wide open receiver and he'll be forced out of bounds but not before yet another big play in this passing attack well I tell you man this guy has been putting on a show all game long we've seen his decision making we've seen his athleticism because of him they've got this huge lead in the fourth quarter so why stop throwing it just keep it going when the Going's good after the three yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven off play action throwing right and that's going to be incomplete a lot of contact on the play but no Flags it'll be third down they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from [Applause] here third and long and he'll try to throw for it oh they really could have used that catch there physical pass defense it brings up a fourth down yeah third and the seol have it back they'll try to get that offensive spear flaming they missed an opportunity to extend this lead the last time they had it Jesse yeah they got to be able to regain that momentum right go back to what was working earlier on in this one and David to me that starts with being the more physical team no I definitely agree being the more physical team but understanding the situation of the game you're still winning you got the football back now put a nice drive together and execute grab near the sticks it's Lucas finally run out of bounds but he has this offense rolling with a first down new set of downs after that completion from the gun give on the inside at this point of the game the offense has the lead the offensive coordinator knows they want to keep running the football so he's going back he's looking at his playlist and he's saying which runs work the best for me in this game what can I lean on right here to make sure we win this one quarterback making adjustments with his receivers looking to throw it's horn he let that thing fly quickly but he couldn't make the connection looked like the offense had a chance for a big play there but the running back just could not reel that ball [Applause] in on third long he has to throw for it complete to the right not a big window and that throw was money and they've got it at the 30 the seminal are on the move here we go give to the back he'll make the Stop and he gets four on the play balls at the 25 after the productive first down play it's second and six he's looking to throw fires to the wide out it's complete they get him stopped at the 5 yd line but it will be first and goal from there so so close to cashing it in for this offense [Applause] s s wide out in motion he wants to throw it Let it Fly touchdown Florida State and the puming has started they push the lead out here in the fourth quarter and close to getting back on track guys here comes that Florida State offense back onto the field they Unleashed an aerial assault last time that took him right to the end zone David So ree with that drive I think you've accomplished something you wanted to accomplish make this defense think you put them back on their heels now shoot Palmer you might be able to slip a few runs in on this drive to really Jack them up yeah I like that idea but I also like the fact that speed kills they've got it at the receiver position so if you got one-on-one matchups man take advantage to throw it's hor unloads to the wide out reacted well to the tip but just couldn't squeeze the football instead of the turnover it'll be third down trying to pick up a first down on Third and long try to convert through the air quarterback can't pull the trigger and down he goes at the 41 and listen the quarterback dropped here comes the offense on first down Jack Rabbit the receivers telling the quarterback what they see he'll start this drive firing oh what a spectacular layout and catch quick timeout called by the def defense stopping the clock to save as much time as possible for their offense they'll immediately call timeout with a first down they'll snap it from the [Applause] 32 they'll run the ball the clock is on their side defense uses a timeout quickly trying to get that ball back and preserve time for their offense well this is a defense that we know takes tons of Pride stopping the Run that's where it all starts ends with them and you saw a great effort on that last play ordinarily on second and 10 you might look past but here you just want to keep that clock [Applause] moving he's looking to throw fires to the wide out all kinds of room to throw that one in there he was working his way toward that goal line they'll stop him at the two after the big play up top yeah and I like this offense keeping the foot on the gas you got to lead by a couple scores but keep the foot on the accelerator nice job another big play down the field for this [Applause] offens looking for a man it's horn he wants it all he's got it in the end zone touchdown 7 winning can become a habit now they've won backto back games and probably building a little confidence from that and you want it to be a habit that's what you talk about as a coach week after week let's build let's create momentum and continue to build on it continue and then you look up at the end of the season you never know where you could be what dreams
