The twins winning last night, got a well pitched game from their ace and Pablo Lopez. And tonight look to make it two straight as the rookie Zebbie Matthews has the ball for the fourth time of his big league career. 35 innings starts for Zey so far and he's looked good. That command has advertised only two walks just under a strikeout an inning. Springer who had the day off yesterday. Now steps in today and gets ready to go and he hit. Springer, ran the fastball in on him. Springer appears to be ok as he's taken off the elbow guard and heading down to first. So Springer aboard to begin the night and here's Dalton VHA and this is a well hit ball to deep left center field and it's going to go do with a long home run to left center. And after getting shut out last night, the Blue Jays waste no time getting on the scoreboard. Tonight, that home run, the ball was carried by batting balls where few people can hit him in this ballpark and get that one in the opposite field. Two nothing Blue Jays runner on first no outs top of the first, right on left pitch swinging a fly ball right field, turning around Kepler and Horwitz has left the yard, second two run homer of the inning for the Blue Jays and they're up four nothing before an out's been recorded. And this pitch is a cutter that just stayed out over the plate. They were trying to go back door and that is right down the middle and he didn't miss it. He hit it high and deep over the high wall in right field. Now, Alejandro Kirk sends one to deep right and it's off the wall and it's going to bounce past Kepler back towards the infield and that's going to allow Kurt to get to second base runners on the corners, still just one out and here comes the eighth batter to come to the plate in the top of the first, Nathan Lucas getting a start for the second night in a row since being recalled as he pokes one down the left field line. It's fairly well and it's down and it will skip up into the seats. So it will be a double for Lucas to bring home. Wagner has to stop at third. It is five to 21 pitches hit on the line up the middle in the center field of a Wagner scores. They're giving Lucas the wave he scores without a slide. It's a two run knock for Leo Jimenez and the Blue Jays are up a touchdown in the first inning is finally over the Blue Jays bat 11 put up seven is having a terrific round. We mentioned his four games in a row pitching at least seven innings and not allowing any more than two runs. Rios is walking about three batters per nine and Castro is on to begin play. Matt Waller one for four last night in left field tonight. Swing and a miss strike three gets him to chase a slur below the zone and strikes out Walner for the second out of the bottom of the first two. Down. Here's Royce Lewis, the third baseman who grounds one weekly to third bars. Got it and on to first in time and settles down very nicely after the leadoff walk, a one out base hit for h and now Addison Barer who was called out on strikes his first time up, swing and a fly ball right field going back Kepler looking up, see you later, another homer for the Blue Jays, another hit for Addison Barger. His two run blast makes it nine nothing Toronto with one out in the top of the second. He delivers and this one swung on and missed and that's going to be the inning. So five of the six outs recorded by Matthew strikeouts outside ball four second walk of the inning that pushes Jimenez up to second and V strolls down to first. Here's guerrero, a base hit and a strikeout. So far tonight, both of those against Matthews and now he lines one into center and that's a base hit Jimenez is getting the wave. He'll come in to score. V had time to kind of size up the situation and still come to third. It's an RBI single for Vlady. It is 10 to here's Spencer Horowitz. He is off to a great start tonight. He's ding this evening, hit a two run homer to ride in the first and singled and scored in the second base hit left center pitch was away, took it away, lined it into the left center for an RB I single. It's 11 to watch how he stays on this pitch. It's away and he just goes with it the other way. He has good at bats three for three top of the order. Now for the twins, Willie Castro up for a second time, the pitch swing and a line drive diving catch at first guerrero Flatty going full stretch over to second base leaped and made the play before it got into right field. Two outs. Well, he laid on the ground after that play, put his head against the dirt and you can hear the Blue Jays fans. A lot of Blue Jays fans appreciate that play. Standing ovation for him. It's a pretty good athlete over there. Very comfortable with Vlady in there every day gets larn swinging in a very quick and I mean, very quick bottom of the third for only five pitches pitches to matt Walner. A left handed hitter first pitch hit on the ground softly to first picked up by guerrero Jogs to first base and steps on the bag one out strike three called right at Denise two down here in the bottom of the fourth. This is to left and it's going to carry out to Lucas. It's another quick inning for jose Barrios who is rolling again here tonight that broke back and he got the call at the top of the zone. That was a wicked two seamer. You could see that Santana wanted no part of it and Barrios gets the call 11 swing in a chopper to third fielded by Barger. He looks at it now throws to first and that's a one another 123 inning for Barrios 10 in a, in a row set down by the right hander and we go to the sixth. See austin Mart-n, he is now into the ball game, taking over in center as Manuel go had to leave the game. So look at Margo made the catch of the outfield and just limping there a little bit. This was in the fifth inning and Then batting and was never able to get out of the box and clearly, you know, wincing there as he worked his way up the line. So that's not a good sign. So Margot is out, austin Mart-n now in center 11 up, he took a chance and man, did it pay off number two for Will Wagner and it is 12 to nothing. Third three hit game for Will Wagner since he's joined the Blue Jays and he put a charge in this one. I don't care how they are. His carry that ball was going to go out of any ballpark. Yeah, I could probably see this coming a while back but a position player is on to pitch and that's Kyle Farmer here in the eighth inning. His second career pitching appearance last one, only prior one coming with the Reds in 2019 and will Wagner greets him with a base hit to center armor's pitch that 146 and it's hit out to deep right field Mart-n, the center fielder going back and that's off the top of the wall and it will bounce back off the top of the fence again coming around third. Wagner is going to score Lucas into third with a triple. That one hit way off the top of the wall bounced down, had weird spin bounced back off the top of the wall, somehow stayed in play. And so instead of an automatic double, it's the first triple of the season for Nathan Lukin grounded up the middle. That's going to be a base hit for Jimenez. That'll cash in Lucas the drive in another run. Three Rs for Mayor Jimenez, Ernie Clement went up to the plate batting left handed against kyle Farmer swings at the first pitch and pops it up to the first baseman Carlos Santana and that's gonna be the first out of the top of the ninth. It's been that kind of game Blue Jays up 14. Nothing will Wagner hits the first pitch he sees down the right field line and into the right field corner. Barger is gonna jog around third and come home. Kirk stops at third Wagner up to second with a double and he's given the Blue Jays a 15 nothing lead. There's a base hit to left and Lewis will turn and makes second base with 1/9 inning, two out double. That will get Max Kepler to the plate line drive. Center field, Lodo has it. And that is the ball game for all of the folks who came to Minneapolis from so many different parts of Canada. They didn't have a lot to cheer about last night, but boy did the Blue Jays provide some fun moments for all those fans here.
