the Premiership window has been something that wherever I go people say when is it coming back and I say hold your horses because we can't have it every week CU then everyone forgets about the rest of the show so here it is the most staggering thing about this Premiership window right here and just repeating for those that new to it every single Premier n from the last n have been above the line which ISS their top six for defense so at the least you've got the Bulldogs the Brisbane Lions hathon and port alide but the Premiership window 17 from 19 in the window top six offense top six defense we've got three the Bulldogs Brisbane and for the first time for the year hathon that's right the cameramen have fallen over have gone into the Premiership window for the first half of the year and for the first time in the year the Sydney Swans have just dropped out ever so slightly what a what a setup what and you know what can we get that back up please the prip window just have a look at this those in the window are all outside the top four yeah well it's interesting though horon played the fair test of the window this year boys it's a fair test of the window yeah absolutely will be so will history be backed I suppose it did help Hawthorne they played north M wied that game they won by don't worry about that Jonathan don't worry about that well I'm just trying to I'm just trying to give some window I'll give you some context around Port ATL day offense number eight defense number three yes off Defense number three Defense number 11 that's been a bit of an issue we launch into it big fella give us the best preview of this big game well yeah what's Ken Inkley's big question coming in Kenny was booed a few weeks ago but he's got him back into pretty good shape so what does Ken do with Tom Stewart so we go back to round nine game tag him I think all the teams have tagged him whether he's playing as a genuine defender or as a Midfield this last time Buck Jed mckinty was playing on him as his defensive forward Stewart started as a halfback and stayed there for the game and really nullified his impact on the game yeah and Stewart's been starting a little bit more through the Midfield so mckinty will come from half forward and go up to Stewart does that mean that a twoy or even a Jack Henry or or um he's able to get aone as a plus one I think Porter going to have to look at that if mckinty goes up they're going to need to make sure that someone comes Duncan's been the one Duncan's the one he and Stewart Shar the yeah so where it's whether it's Rosie that spits out of the Midfield and goes forward or Butters that spits out and and makes that long extra accountable if it's Duncan or or two in particular this was one of the earliest of of um of players going to Tom Stewart and saying right you're not having it on your terms as you have for the last four or five years and it became the impetus for change he got tagged out of his halfback position lot to respects that's right then he went into the Midfield G and then for a few weeks he had a free reun until Coach started sorted tagging him in there very slow to pick up slow a pick up Ross line put Liam stalker to him a few weeks ago and they s killed his good win against so so okay you just tossed up that I don't want to dwell on it too much but is that why you maybe look at a William Drew instead of a mckinty to bring a for for Stewart no because that'll pull William Drew out of the Midfield so you I think mckinty is the one and you want to keep Drew um he's probably the guy that might try and keep Dangerfield accountable especially in contest or homes maybe who's absolutely the big problem for Chris Scott how do we stop Port adan's Midfield so they were dominant especially that round nine game they've been dominant Year guys fantastic it's an All-Star Midfield really isn't it especially the midfielders uh horn Francis was unbelievable in the first 40 minutes to set up that big lead in that round nine game but you look at the ratings from that game all the star Midfield OE W's had a fantastic year as his but as as is Jason Horn France who I think is the most destructive midfielder in the competition now now we know Gaz home and away he different to finals football took d f to Wild to realize that that'll be an interesting one aen malen went onto him he did uh as the game went on and did a pretty good job so does Chris Scott pull that trigger again does he bring him back into the team he was dropped for the West Coast game so that's going to be an interesting one from a selection point of view so Rosie didn't play in that game so that's just going to add to their Midfield strength the um the other thing we got is jalong were in the midst and every team's had it Jong in the midst of going through their mid-season slump and Port Adela probably put one of their better performances into and and they can put those uh those Elite games together and Dangerfield didn't play as well for the Midfield we get to him in a second two critical losses though for Port ADL Farrell and Houston Houston the all Australian keeper so they get a lot of their run and carry from there so that that could be really problematic for Port Adelaide if they're losing clear um if they're losing clearance jalong can at least break even and they've got to start to build their territory from the back half so that'll be one to watch what I do with Jeremy Cameron yeah well Jeremy Cameron you know where the Bergman plays him L did a pretty good job last time he his 18 disposals one goal one so not bad numbers for a key forward but he didn't have any real impact on the game so take a lead at some places that a lead wouldn't like to get to I reckon well absolutely and we've seen Jeremy camer played a bit deeper the last few weeks in the absence of Tom Hawkins but we have seen Jeremy Cameron create havoc on opposition Defenders when he gets right up the field you see the last bit of vision buks against Adela Crow a few weeks ago and this is what he could try to employ against Porto L's defense oh look that that's when he's at his most dangerous think think you buddy Frank when he gets up and ARS back on that left foot that's what Jeremy Cameron's been able to do for the most part in the last couple of years and he had that concussion in the middle of 23 that really put a hole in that season but across the board when he gets up the field and runs back is when he's at his most dangerous and he will test a Le yeah P's world cut I think it's Charlie Dixon so he's out with illness the last game now Charlie's been inconsistent especially his ability to get out in the park but I think he's going to be important along with r g has been a good move going forward and especially against those good inter set marking players for jalong especially with Sam de coming back in potentially in Jack Henry being in Mighty form Todd Marshall does that mean he misses uh not sure well Geor Yi was fantastic last round so he might not come back what about danger oh danger look at the end of the day if they're going to go to if they're going to go all the way to Prem ship Glory again it's going to be on the back of Patrick take pun's head on he well he does got to take him head on and like 2022 guys when he was a normous especially in the prelin final and the Grand Final where I was Norm Smith medal voting and I thought he was best on ground that day but he was awesome and he needs to produce another mighty fine September for the cats to go all the way so he's the jalong Wild Card he's been well managed hasn't he so he's going to be sharp you got a tip for us yeah I do I think the cats H sorry I think Port laid by 15 points home ground Advantage I think they'll break the hudo Gaz with finals love it good work let's move on to Friday night it's going to be unbelievable MCG ticket sold out quickly two teams who arguably in as good a form as any in the competition the Western Bulldogs number two for off number one for defense that's why they're in the window the Hawks are number six for offense number six for defense so both in ripping Nick so Luke beverage as he sacrificed a bit of League speed for experience it's not all on McCrae and and um and Caleb Daniel who came back in and played really last week but you're playing against the ha on side and speed kills this team just go and when they go they don't hold back they go with impunity they run you look at the Run of Amon and imp and these BS and once one goes the other goes w gets involved so you've got to be able to match them because these three tour forwards are going to get to in a moment and they're going to be able to run half the ground and try and put some pressure on and then you get to the smalls to try and also stop the side from going one end to the other so is that a yellow yellow tsunami that they've got to be yellow and brown tsunami though last time they played the Bulldogs plus 27 for post clearance footy which is the worst result from a bulldog's point of view so get it out into space and run and they really stretch the dogs like they haven't been stretched before what I saw from the board dos last week and or two weeks ago how much stock you put on it but you know gws loved to play like that so I think Hawthorne their running carries modeled a little bit on what the Giants have done over the last couple of years and the Bulldogs were able to stifle that with Fierce pressure and and that's exactly what they're going to have to do to win the game for sure and then you go over to Sammy Mitchell and the obvious one is the big to forwards from a western Bulldogs point of view I did um I did haon and jalong down at J HBA Stadium where they they last got a belting and Jeremy Cameron just made a mess to Josh wed now he's a better player than but these are these boys are going to go at it you Darcy hugle haen Norton I reckon Norton I reckon bonon P will stretch them as well and try and get forward and spend some time and minutes down there as well so this is the big challenge for them they've been in ripping Nick they've kicked goals in the last uh six weeks Sam Dar is in good of form I think Aaron Norton's got the potential to really get off the leash so much attention's going to go on the other to so you the combination of frost and Sicily and W's been out and scrimshaw's been able to hand and W combinations well this is one that's in as good a form as any here so 18 goals 14 goals and Norton's playing a bit of a different role it's the biggest challenge the great thing is too those boys can separate you know they can get some one-on ones no doubt about it which makes a the defensive one-on-one contest for Hawthorne's Defenders are going to be critical in the day how they compete what about the Midfield battle G yes well this has also becomes critically important as well so they both go pretty deep they both like themselves Western Bulldog's ability to score from clearance is really important and number two there it gives a really good look forward of the ball when they can win clearance like this and it's equ is important that oron then get some territory from their clearance just to take a bit of heat and pressure off their back six so they're both really well served I reckon that probably the dogs go a little bit deeper through there than the Hawks but it's going to be a great challenge be l in that regard but he's a big loss you got a finals wild card I'm throwing Jack un into the mix so Anzac da medalist loves the big stage Premiership player already we know that he's thrived in this environment there so I think he gets in there with the wizard uh they create all sorts of Havoc down there in that back half the matchup for them's going to be really significant so I think that's going to be interesting ultimately the tip for me the dogs I'm just I'm just going to I guess I trust their forward half a bit more I think the I think hathon have just been you know they've just been Unstoppable and they're going to give a great sight for their haon supporters and they could easily win but I'm just going to back the dogs in from um forward point of view do you give any credit to or any attention to the fact it's at the MCG where horor seem to be at their best time gr uh yeah well not beautiful
