Head to Head Fantasy Football Mock Draft | 12 Team PPR with 1st and 12th Pick Draft Strategy

Intro you may have a draft tomorrow today every day of the week who knows how many fantasy drafts that you have but on today's episode of the regression of the meme podcast we have got a 12 team PBR mock draft drafting from the first slot and the 12 slot and we want to give you as much draft strategy as possible to make sure you are prepared to beat your best friends your co-workers if you play in a family league hey we love grandma grandma doesn't need to win come on you got to put Graham onor place you got to take home the fantasy championship and the only way you're going to get there is by mock Drafting and watching two idiots like us draft some teams and we're going to think they're great like we're going to say they're best teams ever but you know we'll see how it uh we'll see how it turns out Aiden how are you doing today man you ready to do a mock draft I'm ready to rock um yeah we've been mocking for a couple weeks now I've got a couple redraft U actual drafts under by belt now so it's good to see what's actually happened um you know it's some of these hom League drafts versus kind of how we think they go it's like home leagues are home leagues are chaos um you think they know your league mates and then you know they they they just do wacky [ __ ] so it's uh no I'm excited though I think the more of these you do like you mentioned the better you'll be it's going to prepare you for you know different types of builds different types of Snipes you know how do you pivot on the fly so um no these are these are awesome exercises uh that's why we do a lot of baseball too it's like just kind of prepare yourself familiarize yourself with where people are going to be um I'm ready to go though man yep I've uh I've done 90 best ball drafts and one redraft draft I got most of my drafts the first week of the season so I think I've like won every single day so I think I have like six lined up for like my most important redraft leagues but I'm I'm pumped I'm pumped to start Drafting and um it's always fun to do these mock drafts because it gives you kind of insight on on what you're going to do from a specific draft position so we've done a ton of these videos we've shown you strategies from the third pick the sixth pick the seventh pick we've probably done the 12th pick I don't know if we've done the first but in a 12 team League we want to show you what happens at the r on either end right we want to show you how to approach it I like rap I like reaching at the beginning of drafts it's a little bit harder to do that at the end but it's all about getting your guy when you're at the one two turn and so forth so we want to show you the best strategies on how to approach that Aiden you are in the giraffe Lobby right I I am here baby I'm I'm in the 12 hole it's probably my least no I would say probably 10 or 11 are my least favorite pick spots this year um at least 12 you know you get two of your guys every time but the end it the end is challenging this year I really liked it last year actually but I I don't love the ADP players there yeah what was the end weren't you getting like no ARB was in it was like I I took CD lamb at the turn last year um I I took C it was CD and bejon at the turn um last year versus like yeah there's just guys here that I just like don't believe in his first round grades but um let's do it man someone's got to do it I'm walking out of here with two studs at 12 and 13 I think I have an idea of what you're gonna do I think it's the best way to approach the 12 pick yeah all right I'm gonna fire up the draft 30 seconds on the clock oh and again just for a breakdown of the roster settings here you're going to start one QB two running backs two wide receivers a tight end and just one Flex we do a lot of double flexes but just one flex your standard home leaks St for PBR we have seven bench spots a no defense or Kicker uh but again we recommend doing that at the very end of the draft kickers I like Brandon Aubrey defense I really like is the Seahawks they have a cheddar start to the year and you can get them pretty easily in the 16th round all right you Draft Start ready to do this Aiden let's do it bro all right I I don't really get why this is a debate for people it's it's Christian mcaffry every day of the week twice on Sunday I don't actually think he's that injured I it's just putting him in bubble wrap because there have been a lot of injuries for the ners this offseason so I I I think that's an easy click for me he's in a pretty much a tier of his own CMC easy money yeah taking him first overall no problem Oh chase at three absolutely not absolutely not wow man if Bree falls to the nine that's the luckiest manager ever yeah so this is pretty much what we talked about um you know pretty much has a consensus like we lean jir over JT like I think if I'm in this spot like I don't feel very comfortable not leaving with at least one running back um my strategy in the 12 hole this year would probably be one of each um for that reason it's kind of just GNA go like get two of our guys um it's Jamir Gibbs and it's Marvin Harrison Jr um you know again I ien Gibbs over JT and Kieran um you can't make me draft puka in the first round you can't make me draft him at the at the 13th spot it's just way too high for me and you've got you know you've got Devonte you've got Drake London um but I think you know the high the highest ceiling outcome here is Marvin Harrison for me so um I I feel pretty good leading with these two guys there hell yeah that's the way to do it I think I let's see is your guy gonna nope there he goes no he's gone okay okay okay I definitely need to take a wide receiver here and I'm pretty okay with taking two pretty okay with taking two running backs so I'm going to take Isaiah Pacho here and I'm I'm going to be done at running back like see proach you have yeah if you take two that early it's like you're you're fine you'll you know scoop up some guys later but um yeah it's Hammer wide receiver time and I want Debo but it's pretty greedy to have two ners like I would do it but I'd want another wide receiver so I think I'm just going to have to take Nico here oh no I got to take Nico but yeah I'm going to take n here I I don't really have any issues with that all right let's see who makes it to me here Jacob I want I I want the boy Josh Jacobs is looking like a decent pick nowadays not gonna lie kind of is it's just like Z zero zero competition really in that running back it just fell apart it all fell apart so Jaylen Herz is an interesting option here um I don't think I want to take QB here um I think I'm probably going to wait until kind of the next you know next tier or two that we've kind of talked about the Kyler Mur is the Anthony Richardsons um I'm GNA take DJ Moore as my first pick here this is my favorite pick in the third round if you guys have been following our Channel um you know earlier this week just said that was my favorite guy there at the end of the third rounde that's that that playouts a home run for me um man here do I take kind of the riskier pick with Cooper C who's been absolutely soaring up draft boards or do I go with divas Samuel just absolute touchdown machine man man man man man I'm going to go with Deo that that's that's a tough one for me um Cup's gonna go earlier Cup's gonna go earlier in home leagues someone's people are there's been a lot of Cooper cup stock he's been soaring up boards yeah like like the buzz is so good around him right now man okay so this is why doing this exercise is great because in my head Kenneth Walker isn't like I could have skipped Pacho and went receiver receiver and taken K9 here I think he's an interesting pick okay so this one's easy Devonte Smith is probably going to play in the slot that's like the easiest click imaginable that guy's so good so giving him slot targets just makes a ton of sense love that pick though ah receivers I don't really want to take Dalton kid Kade he's not really a pick for me Anthony Richardson has been on the board I love me some a oh yeah I'm just going to take a it's a little bit of a panic pick but I don't really want to take tank here I I can just take wide receivers later I'll scoop up one of my favorite players in the NFL and Anthony Richardson okay I probably I'm gonna need a running back here before we really get into The Dead Zone got a couple of different options here not drafting a tell Deandre Swift um just fully transparently I like James Connor but I've already got Marvin and you know Kyler is a target he probably won't make it back to no Kyler's not GNA make it back to me and I've got Monty who's you know a lot safer handcuff Gibbs but like that's really not a good strategy for your running back too um you know as you're running back three maybe there so I'm gonna go with James Conor um you know super steady you know I went with a bit of a sexier pick with GBS is my first running back and now you know a bit of a safer pick there with James Conor is been running back too feeling good about the room now we probably want another wide out um there's a couple QBs here I'm I'm I'm not ready to take a QB got T can't take Keenan I do love Christian Kirk and then Terry's gonna be a machine I'm going with Terry I'm going with Terry as my wide receiver four at this point probably fill out the rest of my roster spots yeah that's good depth man T Higgins in the sixth I know that it was between those two it was between those two for me though okay has Rashid been taken rashid's gone okay uh I definitely need another wide receiver here uh just highlighted our favorite picks um and man I love Xavier worthy so I'm going to scoop him up there you go and at this point I'm not g to take a tight end I've already taken Aver man Kyler that's why Kyler's just so money Kyler is so good here but I do get to take romad dun because I went quarterback earlier so I I can live with that like your wide receiver room's in good shape now um yes like you you have two rookies but like it's fine it's fine yeah man so I waited on QB and it burn me a little bit so now I'm just going to wait another two rounds there's not a QB here that really makes a ton of sense probably wait for one of the rookies uh maybe someone around there this point kind of fill in some roster spots here man these running backs these running backs man um this is a running back I haven't taken a lot of I think it's kind of another safer pick um at the running back position and I'm going to take Zach Moss uh um what I want to do here man I I don't hate Ferg here I think Ferg's a really exciting tight end pick here it's really just him and CD lamb has like guys you can actually name and Trust in that passing offense you're in the eighth round got three I've got four fill in the tight end box um I feel good about that there actually Ferg in the eth you're going to be Shook at what I do at tight end later okay what awesome okay awesome this is exactly what I'm looking for I want two more wide receivers I think that's easy money Deontay Johnson I mean come on come on guys like yeah I think DJ's a great pick here in PPR that's insane now I could take John Brooks I could take Jaylen Warren I'm a big fan of Jaylen Warren but I've got Jackson Smith and jiga here and I just I just want to hit an absolute home run at wide receiver I'm ah but this is tough this is tough Aiden because I think I can get more value at receiver later so I'm going to wait so too I'm going to take Jaylen Warren here I think that's his Easy Money third third running back here for myquad Caleb Gets to me here I think all these oh you're looking good you're in the clear oh in in the nuts in the nuts I thought I was going to get away with it too um I'm going to go with the other rookie then I'm going Jaden yeah I'm I'm I'm GNA handcuff him to Terry I think there's just so much upside with both of these rookie QBs um you know it's kind of choose your own flavor um man I I was I was de close to getting away with it um all right here man I think I'm taking ran Robinson I want jsn but it's just it's not as big of a need I've got I've got five wide outs already now I've got four man but again it's kind of back to your point like you can get more value late with wide out whereas I'm almost done with running back after BR I like jsn a ton but I like DJ more yeah you just don't want to be left with like no running back option like it's running back's already gotten so Bleak in terms of like you know real Dependable guys so I agree just got two wide outs here at the turn for my next two CLS so at this point I have two running backs that are basically Polar Opposites where like I think one could have end of season value if things break right where one I know has really good beginning season value um in Jerome Ford I love I think I'm gonna I think I'm gonna go Quorum because I want more upside uh when when it's all said and done cor's gonna be a great stash pick this year yeah just keep them on the end of your bench stay patient this one one of my favorite rookie wide receivers I'm going to add three to the squad which is kind of crazy I love ad Mitchell yeah receiver for the Colts he's the [ __ ] all right here so I I probably need to get back into the wide receiver talent pool here what I want to do it's a little it's a little dark if we're being fully transparent here um this this guy that Sean just talked about actually I'm I'm try to go ahead click Josh Palmer um you know just so cheap here man it's you know may not be the sexiest pick but like he's going to show up he's going to produce to some degree if you're in a jam like he's not going to be a watch Zer one by any means but I think he could do a lot worse here man I I do got need another quarterback behind Jaden too like you can't go n Jaden that's you gotta have stones for that one but I don't think I'm going to do it here um [Music] I'm gonna go with a rookie myself where is he I'll go with Jaylen pulk dude you got the whole commanders starting roster right now mclen Zaden am BR Rob yeah we've we've got left hand up pretty firmly over here the left hand is pretty firmly so high somebody needs to somebody needs to put that hand down um man I need another running back and I I like Tai Chandler a ton T tler I'm I'm a big fan of I'm gonna have to address tight end do I think Ben cinate plays the Ben s's gonna be a waiver wire guy do I really want to draft Ben s need to draft him it's for a couple of weeks until like or rolls or something gonna get my guy here he's probably gonna be available in the last round but I'm not messing around ta's going to be my tight end on this squad man I was kind of hoping Stafford made it back I do need I do need another quarterback here that is that is for sure Baker too oh might have to Raw Dog it man I might just go double rookie out here I probably wouldn't do this in real life but man this I gambled a little bit um there's no other way around it there's no other way around it I'm not taking not a principal like we man this is actually no no I'm going Gino Gino's a good man I that got a little sketch um all right let's round this thing out your just going like flyer here yeah you're probably dropping this guy anyways yeah um I'm gonna go with likely how many beers are you gonna have this weekend how many what how many beers you going to have this weekend likely 80 I I like likele it sounds like they're going to do you know like a lot of two tight end sets with him and Mark Andrews out there which which could be pretty fun like the guy's so talented man I hope so um I probably need to have two tight ends on this roster I'm pretty loaded at wide receiver I could take another another tight end you need a real tight end I think Noah fant's a real tight end yeah take Noah fan that's a real tight end yeah okay team reviews uh I'll start Shaun Team Review things off here picking from the 101 I went with CMC Easy Choice in my opinion hashtag gobias Pacho is somebody that I really like so like you could have I could have taken cheetah and Pacho and had a really interesting team right but I I really just want to feel good about running back this year yeah and I feel solid about having those two I feel great about Nico and Devonte Smith is my onew a rich High upside play but felt like that was the best pick at the time I didn't really want to have tank and Nico to be honest maybe I could have gone that route but I don't know maybe maybe next time I'll play around and see what Nico and tank together is like I went with Xavier worthy romad dun and Deontay Johnson so Xavier worthy I think plays right away he's been playing in the preseason a ton in three wide receiver sets adun is probably a late season push play we'll see how that goes Shane Waldren kind of burned us last year with jsn so again I think adun is a much better Talent but could be frustrating for adun owners out of the gates with Keenan Allen and with DJ Moore but I got Deontay Johnson to kind of balance it out remember we're only playing three wide receivers in this league so DJ is a really safe pick when I have a bunch of rookies on the squad knowing that I'm GNA get reliable production from him is kind of the he's gonna walk in like a 30% Target share for this for this Panthers offense I don't know how valuable that is because it's the Panthers but we'll see Jaylen Warren and Blake korm I'm a big fan of Jaylen Warren news came out that the hamstring injury he could have played this week so sounds like it's not too bad there's two weeks before the season starts that backfield probably is going to be a mess with coral Naji and Jaylen because Arthur Smith hates us but Jaylen Warren if you look at all the advanced stuff is one of the most talented like pure efficient runners in the league he's really good player so in the ninth round easy money in my opinion Blake corm is a pure contingency upside play I you know I have three running backs I feel pretty good about week in and week out korm can just be my Dart throw that just chills he's going a roster clogger just collecting dust probably but man if Kiren goes down Blake horm he's going to slide into the flex I'm gonna have three run you know like it's gonna be amazing Edie Mitchell here one of my favorite rookie receivers off the board going you know five six rounds later than Roman dun and he might play more sooner than Odun Tai Chandler I think has a base role next to Aaron Jones and Aaron Jones is old and he's injured so ta Chandler could easily be the rb1 there at some point during the season and then you know Tamm Hill Tamm Hill is going to be on the field for 70% of the snaps he's basically going to have like a middling tight end role but also be the goal line running back which is like the weirdest thing ever but I mean that's a pretty solid tight end option like with upside and then Noah fan like in case the tasm experiment goes poorly I think Noah fans's Canna have a pretty big role in this Seahawks offense that I think is gonna be pretty good this year so I feel good about this team this feels it's interesting to do the whole weight on tight end approach like really weit and kind of go extreme but kind of I kind of stacked out my roster with guys I like because of I did Aidan Team Review of it did it so I will pass it over here to holler at the 112 man tell us uh tell us how you felt about this draft and what your approach was yeah we definitely went with much not much different build like certainly a lot of like the you know like the early aspects are much different here so I I started with my hero RB I've got Gibbs here um wrapped out with Marvin Harrison so you know two really fun pieces to start uh grab two more wide receivers given that you can play uh three in this this format so got DJ got got Debo Samuel um James Connor really sure-handed running back too grabbed another white out and Terry um you know felt good about my running back depth at that point and didn't really want a quarterback that was there um another running back in Zach Moss I've been targeting a lot I think super cheap and got a ton of Red Zone work and early down work in that offense grabbed Ferguson I think he's a really exciting tight end you know he kind of wouldn't say exploded but you know made a name for himself last year in that offense and he really going to have like the exact same role um didn't bring out any wide receiver help really no other tight end that's going to challenge him for his role crab Jaden was hoping to get Caleb there but you know pretty excited with both of these guys um you draft either one of them you need a contingency plan um you know there's going to be rookie grown pays um jadeen especially two as a rusher I think is even higher risk level given um you know little lankier frame and quite it's just going to take more hits got B Rob here so I've got the entire rushing offense you got the whole you got the whole Squad mclen Daniels and BR left hand up who are we left hand up grab two more wide receivers here to fill out the wide receiver room and Palmer and pul you know much different options you know Palmer is probably their wide receiver one their him or loud but you know so cheap here at the 11th like Jaylen pul kind of figures at least early on he's probably be their wide receiver one so again like two really cheap wide receiver one maybe two options here in pmer and pulk got my insurance play with Gino and then Isaiah likely as a second tight end kind of was just going like best player available what type of you know player do I want to add to my roster so um actually feel pretty good about this one from the 12 spot I I've done some other mocks where I walk away and just like discust it whereas this one like i' I'd be pretty fine leaving a draft with this team here yeah it's General Draft Thoughts interesting seeing some of these other because again these wide receiver starts right uh Josh Allen in the second I don't like how my teams look whenever I take a quarterback super high like I don't I don't love it second second really hard second yeah second this team's nasty right this one that took uh Jamar aan leaport neighbors pickings they kind of nailed that and they got Kyler here I would have gone Nai as my rb1 versus mandre uh but man that's a hell of a start here from Team three I really like this I like this build uh where I mean they already have aan so this this is a nice build team three a good one I they put on a master you take Chase over cidi um but but I like the bu but I like the I don't hate team seven ear here beon alve digs I don't necessarily love all three of these guys I like DK a little bit but running back is is really bad um I just kind like play football yeah like you're in yeah it's a good point chub in the chub in the eth is probably the worst pick in fantasy this year I mean it's like lighting that pick on fire and zamir white just lighting picks on fire if you take those guys there I don't know D's fine but yeah a lot of different teams here a lot of different teams I still think the best way to approach it is is just try and stack running back early and just get it out of the way and then just hit hit doubles and potentially home runs with receivers down the board that that's going to be the way I approach it man like I I think there's Merit here so like say you take cidd and you go get you gonna you're going to have to get Jacobs or something like you're going to need a Kiren an Anan an etn you have to get one of these guys in my opinion like it's rough if Kenneth Walker air white the zero approach is rough now maybe Kenneth is can't leave the first two round running back this year I don't think it's like you have to absolutely Ace everything and like some of these contingency PL you know like the you know Chase Browns and stuff like all the injuries have to like work out correctly for you to where like you fall into these starting running backs it's it's dark if you leave the first two rounds with that one oh man well that's a mock draft that's a 14 rounds 12 teams PPR always fun drafting
