surroundings I'm trying to like sort out the camera and the focus um but uh yeah I I'm not really sure which is the best way to hold I suppose that's probably best are we in Focus I feel like we're hope you have an absolutely fantastic um time and uh and yeah I'm looking forward to uh to getting into today's stories um because it's going to be good it's going to be some really interesting stuff to discuss and we Charlie Patino start with Charlie patino um who has said goodbye to Arsenal for now of course we know that this is a um this is obviously a uh a bit of a tricky uh emotional feel for Arsenal fans because he's a player that was incredibly hyped up as a youngster being you know likened to Jack Wilshire and is now left for only a million pounds of course Arsenal have a 50% s on clause and a first refusal um agreement with deportivo with any potential move too so uh yeah it's it's emotional and it's goodbye but it's goodbye for now who knows what the future will hold and we wish him the absolute best of luck uh Fabio Vieira Fabio Vieira is set to complete his move to Porto um and we look forward of course to seeing him hopefully flourish because we need him to we need him to do a you know we need to do well we need to have a really good season back in his former Club so that when he returns to the club in 2025 we can see potentially a a sale that that gets Arsenal a significant amount of money uh in the summer that would be ideal for Arsenal and certainly would help them moving forwards too um but it's going to be a big big ass he's got to stay fit is the first question he's had so many injury issues of course that does need to change um moving forwards again and we move now to Aon ramsdale we're sticking of course with the Arsenal theme and Aaron Ramsdale in-house transfer stories for now wolves are in talks still with Arsenal over a potential move for Rams they Arsenal still holding firm at the moment on their uh kind of permanent exit position that's the that's the position they are holding right now they want to sell ramsdale 20 million pounds is said to be the figure that's being talked about and people can win cry and moan about it being 20 million pounds but sadly that is the market for ramsdale at the moment that is the scenario because any club that's going to be able to pay what I actually think he's probably worth which is 25 to 30 million pounds um I I I just don't any club out there is going to be able to pay that wolves have got their own Financial concerns it's really restricted them from spending this summer um but it's the only real club that could make a switch I still think alone is the the best option for Arsenal and for ramsdale I think a season long loan no option no obligation just get him to a club get him playing week in week out and and hopefully he comes back to Arsenal in the summer of 25 and of course can then be sold for a much better um sum of money because he is worth more than 20 but you're just not going to get a market um you're just not going to get a market for that um at this stage of the window and after this season his his market value has dropped considerably because of that period of course being out of the team but Arsenal had to make that ruthless decision of course based on our first two games my goodness me it's paying off with David ryer in there Eddie Nketiah moving to the real headline in house Arsenal story of the day and uh it's quite funny because yesterday I don't want to Temp fate too much but yesterday of course we had a bad news regarding Eddie and KY it was a pretty down Dow show regarding Eddie and ctio and I had a couple of people messaging me saying Tom how come You've Lost Your smugness on edu and Eddie and CA we've blown the sale to Nottingham Forest well the smugness is back because Eddie and Kea is closing on a 30 million pound move to Crystal Palace David onstein reporting yesterday that there is an expectation that a 25 million plus 5 million in addons bid from Nottingham Forest will be accepted by Crystal Palace obviously his tweet says Arsenal expected to accept offer of from Crystal Palace to sign Eddie bid worth 25 to million plus 5 million add-ons similar to nottingam Forest deal um Arsenal and Crystal Palace are in direct talks are no issue anticipated on personal terms which of course is a big part of this um for the striker so let's see if edu can get that 30 million um and Forest it seems have also lost out on their alternative Target um which was Santiago gimenez because he has according to reports from Mexico decided to stay with fard for another season which I personally believe is the best decision I tweeted this out yesterday no matter the stick that nottingam Forest fans are giving me in in the replies he absolutely should be staying at fine order not going to Forest himz you know I'm a big fan of of forest as I say I've lived in the city for I did live in the city for three years and I always want them to do well but for the player that move made little to no sense whatsoever and it's a good thing that he is staying absolutely moving to incomings and there is a hope that Mikel minino will Mikel Merino finally finally I mean if we even if we sign a forward let's be honest they're not going to be announced until January but if we uh if we can hold on to our patience a little bit longer Mikel Moreno should hopefully be announced today as an Arsenal player it was bank holiday yesterday here in the UK so I imagine that's why there wasn't any movement on it uh yesterday but there is a real hope that today Mikel mourino will be announced as a Arsenal player today I had hoped it would have been over the weekend of course he did fly he is in London he has completed his medical he should have been doing if not has already done his media um and he will be see seen and shown as an Arsenal player today so finally we can get this one done and enjoy him being part of the squad and maybe even in the team for the game against Brighton you would certainly hope so moving into two names Federico Chiesa that are on the market and available the first is Federico Kaza he is available from Juventus for 12.7 million pounds a tiny little bit of money um for a player of K his profile and potential of course he only has I believe one year remaining on his Juventus contract and juuve have decided that they are no longer wishing to keep hold of him um but at 26 years of age a left-sided player who is Right footed um but can play in other positions on the right has even played through the middle uh he is a player that has struggled for form and fitness despite all of the hype that surrounded him over the last few seasons especially when Italy won the European championships he's played over 200 Sera games scoring 47 goals and getting 43 assists but his minutes and his game time have been horrendously affected by injury that said last season he did play the majority of the Sera campaign he managed 33 games scored nine goals and got three assists um but his injury history showcases a very stored problem with a cruci at ligament tear in 2021 22 which meant he missed 45 games for club and Country since then um he's had these little issues that have kind of kept him out of certain periods of Seasons here and there but for 12.6 12.7 million pounds I do it as opposed to signing nobody but the thing is that Liverpool are leading the race right now for ker Liverpool the most likely option for him to go to between now and the end of the window they have made inquiries they have made their interest known and Liverpool it seems probably will be the team that he goes to I predict between now and the window but it is an opportunity um but it doesn't seem to be one that Arsenal will take and the other opportunity this window is Kingsley K uh the French International and Bayern Kingsley Coman Munich Winger has decided to leave the German club this summer there is interest from the Premier League is understood and there is interest from Saudi Arabia as well he is one of bayern's highest earners at the club and uh is available to leave on potentially either a loan with an obligation or a loan with an option or of course maybe a a transfer fee he is 28 years of age he turns 29 in June of next year um and he is a left-sided player again who is more right footed but he can play on the right hand side as well his contract expires in 27 so there isn't any lower transfer fears associated with the contract sort of things but he could be available for a pot potential move still for a reasonable price tag far more so than Kaza however he has got a significant injury record in 23 24 he missed eight games and one game and nine games and two games of a load of different injuries um in 2223 he missed one game with a knock seven games with a tall muscle fiber in 2122 he missed one game with muscle problems another game with muscle problems uh covid of course cost him two games as well another tall muscle fiber in 2020 in fact he had in 2021 we have 1 2 3 four five six seven eight might not be done eight separate different injuries in 2122 we have one two three four five different absence reasons 201920 have one two three four different absence reasons and then 18 19 he had one two three four five five absence reasons one of which cost him 20 games he had a sesm motic ligament tear can't say I've ever even heard of that term before quick Google tells me that that is a ankle sprain um so it's an ankle ligament tear and that seems to have been the Catalyst for his long history of injury issues with Bayern as is the case with both of these players who have these injury problems if it is a case of signing one or none obviously I I side on the sign the side of one I would rather have one of these two players than not sign anyone and I will be very disappointed if Arsenal don't bring in any player in the forward areas between now and Friday it would be in my opinion a failure of this window to have not added a forward to this squad because we need one we absolutely need one Eddie Anda leaving Arsenal having not yet brought a forward player in of course Smith row is gone Vieira could be going as well it seems and even though ner or wer is being promoted to the senior Squad and of course the arrival of Mikel Molino as well has come in it would be incredibly naive I think of the club to assume that signing nobody is better than signing somebody for these positions even if it is just a shortterm deal um so hopefully keep those fingers crossed that happens and that we get some some surprises in these final days of the window as well there isn't any surprises though about the service that looking to pay what they'd be looking for either so yeah I can't see that one happening Sally says do you think minus Marino that two Outfield players could arrive this week we've lost Fabio Eddie and ESR in the last two weeks I mean Eddie isn't gone yet it's worth pointing out but there is an expectation that deal to Palace will happen I would love a very established attacker and a young Prospect too I think Sally it's highly unlikely that two come in you know you never know but you never say never but I I think it's far more likely that just one happens far far far more likely so I love your optimism and I wish I could be that optimistic but I think it's going to be just the one uh Dan says is it just me or do you get the sense that we'll be surprised with us finished to the window also I'm a physiotherapist and I'd be happy to chat about injuries for you need thank you Dan um I you know I get the sense that there could be a surprise but I'm an optimist as I just pointed out so obviously I'm expecting something and will continue to expect something all the way up until deadline day the process is do you think that the hierarchy at Arsenal maybe running out of patience with regards to jayus and his injuries I don't know if about like um running out of patience is the right term but I do think that um there is a consciousness of of that position and that in the summer of next season we might end up seeing um you know we might end up seeing something happen um regarding a center forward I don't think it'll be this summer as I've maintained pretty much the whole way through but yeah I think there is a good chance to maybe next season um awesome ebra says scov Olsen what are your thoughts this of course is the Danish Winger for Club Ruger uh 24 year old player who got 26 goals and eight assists in 50 games last season for um for the Belgian side Club Rouge um some people say Club Ruger and some people say bruge I'm inclined to say Brugge but you know some people say it differently he is a right-sided player of course which is what Arsenal looking for and he is left footed which is a profile that arsenal of course would be interested in he's played five games in the Belgian League already this season scored two goals but they did both come in one game in a 3-2 defeat to gank um he only started the first two games on the bench I think after coming back of course from uh the summers's um the summer tournament maybe maybe that was to do with um uh maybe that's to do with the Euros I don't know if he was in the European Squad actually just a quick check on his National Record he has played for Denmark a total of 33 times scoring eight goals so yes I imagine he probably was um in the Euro Squad this summer and that's why he didn't start the season in Belgium yes he played in the Euros but uh started the last game against Germany but was a sub it seems in the uh second and third games he did come off the bench against Arsenal uh sorry against Arsenal against England in that group stage game but um yeah I it's an interesting one isn't it because obviously he scored a lot of goals last season 26 in 50 is an amazing record but is he good enough to to be a depth option in the Premier League is that step up enough of course it might be worth a bit of a punt but I've not seen any suggestions or any real kind of links to him at all really um so I've not seen anyone credible at least suggesting his name at this point in time rrdm says so Eddie's preferred Palace to Forest because he was aware of palace's bid it was not because he was greedy and selfish as claimed was the reason he didn't agree personal terms let's show some respect to Eddie and I'm glad that you pointed this out because quite frankly some of the the the comments made by some people we all know these people are you see them on social media all the time just like poisoning your feeds but it's been disgusting some of the words um that that have been said about Eddie and Kea he's his own player he's come through the academy played you know Chelsea previously joined Arsenal scored some massive goals that these idiots of course have been abusing him celebrated like crazy when he scored at Chelsea and scored against Manchester United and got his hatrick against um Sheffield United they were celebrating like mad when he was delivering for us in those moments if you if you know if you're someone who doesn't like personally rate him very highly that's fine you're allowed an opinion to be critical you could be critical of a player without abusing them without disrespecting them it's possible you can do it it's lazy to not do it and sadly people have really made themselves look rather silly on my social feeds yesterday when it comes to Eddie and um you know I I sincerely wish him all the best in his move to Palace and I do think that um there is um some scope for him to have a really good season as I've said before I think if he plays 38 games for a club like Palace I think he can get into double dig of goals relatively comfortably and I I hope to see that in practice I hope to see if that in that prediction indeed does come to fruition so yeah let's let's see what happens uh gav says joining Forest Freddy would be very risky for him Palace is a much safer choice and he is thinking about his career so people need to lay off him absolutely uh CB says I told you guys on the day it's dangerous to start cussing the kid like we know what's actually happening it's weird Behavior you're absolutely right tjr says big fan of scove um scove Andreas go um Olen the Danish Winger that we were just talking about says tjr he's good enough t for a Winger but worldly on the streets he's a bit the word on the street is a bit mental so I'd take him can't say I know anything about him too much to be honest mate I've not watched him at all he's got a good goal scoring record though but of course at that Belgian League level uh Angry pacifist says I hope they play him more than they played hini in well they paid a lot more of course for um for Eddie and K they're going we hope to pay a lot more for for him and as well um alloy says the thought that Eddie transfer could be the highlight of Arsenal's transfer window is depressing um a little bit I don't think it is the highlight of Arsenal's window at all I think Cur is an exciting signing I think mourino is an exciting signing and I'm looking forward to seeing both of their impacts on the squad moving forwards John says Edie has been a good servant for Arsenal show him respect he came through the ranks and made it to the first team was scored in the Premier League respect him also became an England senior International at Arsenal as well uh Finley says morning Tom just joining on my 15th minute break or 15 minute break rather I hope all is well and hope you're about to give me some good news on a forward well Finley I can't guarantee you the second part but uh we'll see in these coming days an Tomy you're not concerned that we are lacking serious Squad depth yes the first 11 is great but looking at the bench on Saturday no options beside trossard it's concerning that there's no depth that we have I think that's a really shortsighted view Anthony personally of the squad right now I actually think Arsenal Squad depth is better than you're giving it credit uh if you look at the squad right now and that doesn't include jayus and Tommy ASU obviously neither does include Mikel Mourinho either Arsenal's bench at the weekend was trossard Nelson curri ramsdale and K aivio zenko jinho and Wier weri is exciting jinho is a really good Midfield option to have zenchenko has been the better of the two left backs that we've used this this season despite all the hype surrounding Timber kivu r as a Defender and think he adds important depth and I wouldn't sell him Eddie would be replaced by jayus on the bench I hope that we bring in a forward of course to add to this deth too Cala fur is an interesting sign I look forward to seeing I'd keep ree Nelson we know he can make an impact and trar did make an impact yesterday or rather Saturday in the game so is there a need for more players yes is the depth a massive massive massive concern not to that degree no I think we need to add one more signing in the forward area at least and we need to keep hold of Kio um but of course with jayus and tomasu still to come back the team um I I don't look at the bench anywhere near as critically as what other people seemingly do if you look at Manchester City's bench at the weekend for instance they had two youngsters on it Issa cabore and uh mateti both on there but of course I not as strong as as them yet because to be as strong as Manchester city is exceptionally difficult to have a squad of that level you need to be consistently winning titles and trophies to be able to justify that they've got a 100 million pound player in Jack Wilshire at the moment on their bench right now not playing all that regularly they got Jon stones on the bench of course who's been there a very very long time and that's because they've spent 100 million euros on gardio you know 80 million EUR or whatever it was on Diaz a ki's coming for a very reasonable price actually um but Rico Lewis has come through the ranks is now starting for them they've got matteas Nunes who they spent 50 OD million quid on on the bench as well we okay Gunda one has of course come back Kyle Walker's on that bench A's on that bench but then they've got those two youngsters M and E kabore as well so you know despite did I say Willshire did I say Willshire goodness me greish of course on the bench um is is for for Manchester City Goodness Me wi she on the brain um greish on the bench but that depth for city has been there and has been built up over years because of the trophies that they're winning and we're sitting here like in a position where yakob Kier is considering leaving the club there is a realistic possibility that Kio could leave the club and the reason being is because he doesn't necessarily see he doesn't necessarily see the um the pathway into the first team because we have to basically play our best team nearly every single League game at the moment because signing players that are going to be of starting quality and convincing them that there is enough time and minutes available and guaranteeing them trophies is hard is really hard and while City have been at this level for the last decade plus we're only entering this level over the last two seasons so yes there's going to be a difference between us and City's depth yes this window has been very poor in terms of not only the options that we can buy but ultimately how we've necessarily approached it towards the end but it's nowhere near as bad as what people are making out not at all so uh I'm still very confident this squads has the capacity with the added Marino with hopefully another forward we keep fingers crossed with Jack Wilshire getting some minutes you never know um I'm only joking but you know it's it's nowhere near as bad of what people have made it out to be um John says Tom is lman the most sensible option assuming he'd want to come Arsenal has to be a more attractive option than Atlanta the problem with lukman is the price tag I don't see Arsenal spending 50 million pounds and a forward I just I at this stage I could a few weeks ago but now I I can't I can't see it happening and I think that that price tag that Atlanta will put on lookman will be upwards of 50 million potentially and um I'm not sure I see Arsenal paying that for for Lan Oki says we'll get more players combined to join us depth when we start building a winning culture again I think that winning culture has been built it's now obviously about Trophy winning culture of course as well that needs to come through evidence of actually picking up those trophies Phil says with Tony likely to likely going I don't think am buo would be possible neither do I and buo I think would be a decent addition to the team left footed can play on the right of course so there's that profile to him um Andrew says do you think that we can get ading gr I think he has huge potential again he'd be another player that would be very expensive between now and they and Brighton are starting him they see him as a starting figure in the team it's going to be very very expensive to get a deal for ringr done between now and deadline day um amuna says Tom well done on edu he spent approximately 80 million and brought in around 90 million and that's great business of course if Arsenal end having a neutral window financially that's great but if we do it despite then not signing a forward I am still going to be disappointed that we didn't do that gForce says would you go for an out andout Striker or utility man who could cover I'd go for a vers not utility I don't think that's the right word but I'd go for a versatile competitive forward option is what I would go for an out and out Striker on this Market there's two options joarez and ozen joarez I don't see happening because it's 84 million pounds up front in a release Clause oen is not good enough and and I think there's some offield question marks to him as well that I think would probably put a bit of a block a between him and and artetta being keen on on signing him I I feel as though oim men is the type that had we actually wanted him we would have probably signed him by now because of his availability because of his dropping price tag all of those things um yeah I think that's that's an issue um let's go to Eevee who says hi Tom didn't do say at the end of the window that you will not be disappointed no that was a fan who said that he said that so I wouldn't uh buy too much into that it's the problem with the internet misinformation spreads like absolute Wildfire these days uh Daniel says I'm sold on M after that hat-trick go and get him didn't Eddie and ker score a hat-trick in the Premier League and all of a sudden know just because they score hat doesn't mean you're good enough I quite like M AK for the record I do think he's decent um but uh yeah it's who knows who who knows what's going to happen um with Arsenal and the forwards at this I don't see Chelsea selling him that's for sure uh awesome says e makes a lot of sense I mean does he because he's more of an attacking midfielder and I think we need a wide player I know he can play in wide positions but he's not a Winger and I think we need to add a proper Winger to this team not an attacking midfielder that can play in wide positions um Macio says who is realistic besides Kaza and it is that word realistic like that realistic word makes this very very different ult to to think up the options um K is on the market I'd be interested in a loan deal for I'd be interested in a loan deal for kazer but a permanent deal for kazer is a bit of a that's what turns me off the Kaza one I think is buying him permanently um that scov scov Olson has been talked about I don't see any real links to him at the moment but if he was like a cheap deal maybe that's the typ player that you could see Arsenal may be going for as a a left field pick but there's been no credible links to him adding gr and lman are really expensive so I don't necessarily see those two happening but I could be proven wrong um and Nico Williams has a a reasonable release Clause but it has to be paid up front and he's got a huge wage and he needs to be convinced to move to Arsenal I did see those links to kavich katelia from Napoli again he is going to be a 100 million plus player so I don't see that happening and to be honest I don't know how realistic the links are either rafin is not a bad shout Raz you know I would take rafin but again I don't know what it would cost to sign him if they' be open to a loan deal with a potential option or obligation maybe that would be something to look into and also I don't know if rafin would want the move he seemed very keen on making sure he moved to Barca when arsenal were of course previously interested in him as well so I don't know what I would say to people is the people that I like when they hear a name go no absolutely not but I don't want that player I empathize of you you're entitled to view that player as someone you're not keen on but my question to you would be is for those that are adamantly against kazer or adamantly against Coman or adamantly against rafin or any of these other players if I said to you that the the choice is between that player and nobody I think deciding to go for nobody is is worse I just think it's worse so I would always lean towards signing the player and bringing in that option and bringing in that depth than signing absolutely nobody in this case and this comes from somebody who's been very kind of forthright in their views on not signing players for the sake of signing players and Arsenal don't sign players for the sake of signing players but in this stage of the window Arsenal need to be a little bit more open in my opinion to making sure that we add a player to the team in that forward line to give us the depth that I think we're going to need because to sell entia to sell Smith row to loan Vieira you have taken away a lot of options of this team in the forward positions and so far only Mikel minino and of course the promotion of Ethan Wier have come into the team so I think there are some exclusions but I think when it comes to because I'm not talking about Strikers I think I need to make that clear I'm talking about wide players I think when it comes to Strikers there's a case of I'd rather sign nobody um I can already predict that someone's gonna say well Tom what about Tony or no one to clarify I'm talking about wide players specifically because I think wide the wide area is the area I'm most concerned at Center forward we've got havs Jus trossard as options for us fine with that but in the wide area that's where I'm the most concerned because it's B Saka and no no marus says now you've changed your opinion after giving others a hard time earlier Mikey I don't know what you're talking about but I love that you're here Mikey and I always appreciate your comments R says Tom why San is still not included in the Bayern squads is he injured or is it due to some other transfer to I don't know R I'd assume injured but I I don't know um one song soup says is always the context the context is the most important thing because one opinion at one time in the window and that same opinion at a completely different stage a month or two months later in the window look completely different if you were sitting there saying Arsenal had to accept Mars's 23 million pound bid for intia and then Arsenal had failed to agree a deal higher in that 23 million in that moment you would have been to look back at that and say you know what I was right Mar we should have accepted that deal we should have accepted the bid but actually a month later when Arsenal have and are closing on a 30 million pound agreement with Crystal Palace for Eddie and Kea the context has now changed in Eddie's situation and so to previously have been adamant that arsenal were wrong to reject that 23 million the context has changed so that why it's important so that's why opinions from previous months shows days even it's football things change in hours so it might frustrate people that I change my opinion on things but it shouldn't do it really shouldn't because football is such a fast-paced game and such a fast-paced sport that of course you should be convinced differently I had my concerns about Cavs when he arrived I really thought that he could be a player that artetta falls on his sword in bringing into the club and I'm so glad was proven wrong
