you can easily spot a red arrow jet
because they're painted in bright red this colour isn't just for show it's chosen
because it's easily identifiable and stands out brilliantly against the blue sky
or even the often Cloudy Skies of the UK ever wondered how those stunning red white
and blue trails are made there's a whole dye team dedicated to it the Jets carry enough dye for 1
minute of red 1 minute of blue and five minutes of white these Trails vaporize instantly
but look fantastic for everyone watching below the Red Arrows take their uniform
very seriously the pilots train in green coveralls and switch their traditional
red suits for flying the ground crew on the other hand wear blue suits so
they don't get mixed up with the pilots [Music] these jets are not just about
looks they're incredibly fast normally the Jets travel at around 300 to 350 mph but
during highspeed Maneuvers like when they pass each other they can reach speeds of
400 to 450 miles per hour and when two jets are flying towards each other their combined
speed can hit an astonishing 700 to 750 mph [Music] and finally the Red Arrows
have wowed crowds with their displays in 57 different countries happy 60th anniversary [Music]
