The Carolina Panthers Waiver Wire Claims Were INSANE... | Film Analysis | (Keenan Isaac & MORE)

ladies and gentlemen Carolina Panther fans welcome back to the channel we have a very interesting video for you today now as you see here on your screen according to Ari mirov the Panthers had the number one waiver claim spot in the entire NFL and pretty much have a brand new defense I mean they brought in five and and get this guy by the way these guys are not practice squad eligible these guys are going right to the 53 man roster that's what happens when you claim them off the waivers they can't be reverted to the PS they're coming right to the team now in this video what I wanted to do here was kind of break down the three defensive backs the three cornerbacks that they've just added to their team in terms of Keenan ISAC Tariq Castro fields and obviously Shamar uh Bartholomew as well so we're going to break down those guys look at some film and I'm going to show you exactly what the Panthers are getting in these three new DBS before we jump into the video though comment down below if you want the part two if you want me to cover Jamie sheriff and John rigan two Seahawks linebackers comment down below just saying part two or more film and that'll help me understand you guys want another one of these videos with that being said let's kind of dive into what the Panthers got in the DB room here we go first up let's talk a little bit about Tariq Castro Fields the former Washington Commander DB this is a guy who I actually do like a lot right he's got that long frame 6'1 um honestly can run pretty well at the same time back at the combine ran a a 438 40 yard dash which is relatively good um very good football IQ a guy who's been praised a ton over his time not only in college but also the NFL coaches love this dude however the commanders had a lot of players they really did like and they weren't really able to keep him also is able to climb the ladder and really make some big time pbus some great pass deflections he's also will to attack the ball carrier as well doesn't really care who he's going up against he's going to make some big time plays just one of the many reasons I think Castro Fields can be huge for the Carolina Panthers here's another play I really liked hear by Castro Fields we're going to get a one-on-one situation he forces 15 to kind of stay put for just a second squares him up and then attacks him right really good tackler in open space I think he does have a lot of room to grow but when you talk about an overall um you know former guy who played for the 49ers and the commanders going over to Carolina who you know truly needed some help in the secondary I think he's a guy who can develop into something really nice I mean if we just take a look at who they have in the secondary you have Troy Hill you have JC horn and you have Mike Jackson other than that I am not too confident at all in the other guys behind him so right away I say Tariq Castro Fields good pickup all right here we go this is a play that I loved by Keenan Isaac first thing we're going to notice is that Bunch set by the wide receivers we actually let you guys watch it and then break it down afterwards drops back in the pocket Fade outout to the left side and Keenan Isaac does a great job ball tracking um and getting the interception now first thing we notice about this play is this little Bunch set by the wide receivers usually what defenses want to do is say all right this corner will get the first guy to the outside whichever one goes out first you'll take him and whoever breaks inside first this guy will take him right so that's what they were going to do manto man coverage um but we're going to get some preat motion since this guy goes to the inside we say okay now we can kind of press man coverage and usually when you have one deep safety Over the Top This is what you call a yes no read for the quarterback and whenever he sees this you know kind of press we're going to circle yes here right he's going to hit this fade no matter what if he beats him he doesn't beat him he's throwing that no matter what booms drop back looks at it throws it got you know I mean I wouldn't say this is open at all really good coverage and look at the ball tracking ability turns his head around right in midair ready boom right turns his head where's the football is it coming it is coming let me track it down guess the interception Keenan Isaac is a guy I think could be a starter in the NFL and I really do like this pickup specifically him and T Castro fields are going to be some really good players for the Panthers now before we get any further into the video I'm going to break down one more guy they also just signed Lonnie Johnson as well to the practice squad I think he'll eventually be moving moved up he's another dive back into some more film all right now for Shamar Bartholomew here he's going to be wearing number 40 for the jets during this preseason I wanted to keep all this footage very relevant didn't want to use it from his college film or anything like that because what does that matter right what is he doing for you now in this play we're going to see just a corner Blitz here get into the back field they're going to hand the running back the football and he's just going to make a really good tackle here he also had two pbus during this game as well this is probably the film that the Panthers looked at specifically a guy who can probably play next to the line of scrimmage not afraid to use his body uh to go in for tackles another guy that just can add to the secondary um again I'm not really too sure where he'll play um what position fits him the best but this is a guy they obviously liked a little bit to bring him over onto the active Rost and see what he can do again I like him near the line of scrimmage I think he's a guy that can make some good tackles um he's a little bit lengthy but let's get into some other plays as well all right here's another play I liked we're going to see him at the top of your screen off coverage the offense is trying to get a quick out right speed out to the sideline on First and 10 just try to pick up some easy yardage here I like the ability to get back into this football play usually when you have a speed out um versus off coverage it usually works almost every single time quarterback was going there no matter what Bartholomew gets back in there gets a pbu and these are the plays that really make me think that he could be a good player right the speed the athleticism to get back to read and React to what the quarterback wants to do here drops back back pedal boom right I'm going football is already out this should be an easy completion gets his hands up into the catch uh radius of the wide receiver and forces an incomp completion another play I really truly liked by Shamar Bartholomew all right here we go now this play he does get beat it's a very poorly thrown ball on a double move to the top side of your screen here double move go right beats him pretty much with no deep safety out underthrown Ball but this get his hand in there to break up that ball I mean again don't love this one I did think I should show it to you just because listen he's not the perfect quarterback in the world you're getting him off the waiver so obviously there's going to be an adjustment period there's still going to be um you know part of his game where he needs to get better right now this did go down as a pbu I don't love to see that overc commit right there by him I mean if we can tell if this is man or zone defense let's watch his eyes here does he look at the quarterback or is he more F he's more focused on the wide receiver which probably tells you this is man-to-man coverage with the mid Midfield close safety so another yes no read here by the quarterback is going to take it no matter what steps up great uh pocket presence just underthrown could have been a big time touchdown but I think he gets back into the play can we see some comeback speed here does he get back into it boom make up some ground here I guess a little bit right but again bad throw don't really know too much but that's going to be it for this video like I wanted to break down all three of these guys there's so many more Jack plumber I believe they've signed John rigan Jamie Sheriff Lonnie Johnson I think they
