this was a moment ago Alexa Pano on the T at the eth playing 140 yds the [Music] 19-year-old she had a bogey free round the first two days just playing this really solid consistent golf let now live for her birdie attempts to get to 15 under one back of the leaders this will be for her fifth birdie in a row following two Bogies goes five birdies in a row Alexa Pano how about that scorecard here on the front nine just one par so far they've been the first two rounds Alexa Pano at 11 for birdie from off the green oh yes Alexa Pano the 19y olds is at 16 under two shots back and where Davey has just been a little off Alexa Pano at the par 512 just shy of the green has putter in hand for birdie her dad Rick Pano is caddied for her her entire professional career very much a family team unit [Music] the French can take off a little bit of speed and that's exactly what just happened but still very relaxed tap in par the 19-year-old is at 16 under she'd love to get to her age if she compos 19 now at 13 Alexa Pano we saw the approach shot a t- shot C you roll in another one must be for eighth birdie of the day and it's looking really good are you kidding me the 19-year-old has gotten to 17 under see those two Bogies the only two Bogies in the three rounds at the 14th Alexa Pano climbing up that leaderboard another putt for Birdie turn uh sometimes when you just on a roll like Alexa is I mean I can't believe that did not fall in the hole just seems a little bit bigger and uh that I was expecting to take that one rotation left to dip in that's so great Alexa Panos was doing that like 3 years ago a three time Drive Chip and Putt finalist discussing the shot with her dad she began this round with Bogie's at the second and third and she's responded phenomenally well did she respond go well you know what someone who was a finalist three times in Drive Chip and Putt Netflix documentary the short game you think she'd have a pretty good short game she's showing it off right now to 18 under oh that was so well done so she pit a landing spot that was something that she was discussing with her dad hit that absolutely perfect get it to run out another birdie her dad's like just like austa let's go and now Gary Christian is with this pairing that front left flag that is really guarded well by that deep bunker short sided so you would imagine maybe a little bit long and a little bit right [Music] here playing 149 today just sort off that finish just a little bit she's trying to spend that one in there a pretty big draw with an iron shot only 59 ft of curve Alexa Pano from off the green we just saw her chip one in at 15 Gary it looks like she has putter in hand here yeah when these fringes are so beautifully trimmed it's uh there a good look here this just coming left off that Fringe and then it kind of just goes straight it was a Fearless shot to to take this tuck left flag on be nice to be rewarded wouldn't it so an aggressive rle just had to make sure that back swing didn't get caught in the rough sometimes I can change the pace that you then accelerate through the ball Alexa Pano puted from off the Green in The Fringe and now this for her part to stay at 18 under oh oh and that was just absolutely crushed I mean she actually might have more coming back than that plot we just saw to the way we know she can play this happens now Alexa panel we saw her par putt go away past this now for bogie at 16 and she does come back with an answer there but she'll drop a shot back to 17 under Alexa Pano trying to recover from that bogey at 16 likes to move it right to left should be looking chops at this one from 125 this is right at it answer bogey watch this I'm going to stay it close make a birdie she's just Fearless her attitude is really fun to watch just there is that like no [Music] [Music] up ahead to 17 Alexa Pano after that aggressive approach shot has this left for her birdie there's a certain element of youthful exuberance isn't there well Alexa she just takes dead aim it seems every time plays at a Quick Clip love the way she plays she missed four the last six Cuts all of a sudden this week it's been a real turnaround hasn't it no doubt about it and that's sometimes what you need you just need one tournament to kind of hit a reset button and you know know I belong out here and being contention see putts fall like that one she's 105th in putts for Greening regulation on the LPGA Tour and we have seen her just light it up the last 3 days with that putter she gets it back to 18 with one more hole to play here on this Saturday afternoon well you called her shooting think her age be 19 Alexa Pano on the T here at 18 okay one more good drive another scoring Club in great drive not aggressive swinging it wasn't it she does not get cheated she goes for it and she'll have a chance for a nice expecting Eagles on those bar fives great look for Pano here for her second talk to him at right side though a little bit more Awkward of the Fringe I was wondering if that was going to struggle to get there it was almost exactly the same shot as she had on 16 that she raced by [Music] so pan will have her dad clean that and she'll Gary Christian Alexa this week is all about birdies it's all about getting off to fast starts you had a slow start today bogey two of your first three and then reeled off nine birdies what was the kind of the turnaround what was the secret of getting things back on track yeah I definitely had a few errant swings today at different times in the round but um never lost my focus really and just got back on track right afterwards and so I'm prettyy happy with how I recovered every time I kind of made a bad swing or a bad hole and one of the Hallmarks of your game is sort of fearlessness and freedom how important will those characteristics be to tomorrow to try and win yeah definitely you can't let up out here like you said it's a birdie Fest and um that requires just kind of going for everything and that's kind of been my game plan the whole week so sticking to that tomorrow it seems to be a good time of the year for you right about a year ago you won your maiden uh Victory on the LPGA when you have a recent memory of of Victory how important is that coming in to trying to win again yeah I think positive energy this time of year for sure but also this course I played pretty well on last year so um familiarity is something that I didn't have last year everything being fresh so it's really nice coming back to a course that I know that I liked and feeling comfortable on it
