we have breaking news we have big big breaking news from The Wall Street Journal if you were wondering if you were waiting on Verizon's guidance for future growth expansion on the fiber Network look no further than this video Verizon nearing deal for Frontier Communications this would be a clear decisive play on fiber expansion to the home this is a competitive play as well that would of course bolster its uh its fiber Network to compete with AT&T this would inst instantly gain Verizon additional competitive advantages and more fiber to to to expand fiber to the home right up until this this deal closes once it gets announced today Verizon mainly just owns and operates fiber in the FiOS markets they're expanding within those markets and yes they are expanding to some other areas at at very small scale but this would be this would be big this would give them presence in many many many many more areas outside of their own footprint this is now more of a large scaled fiber deployment if you will now this is going to come with copper this is going to come with debt so we we will acknowledge that we will further break this down as this deal get announced but this is also going to require additional investment to upgrade old copper to fiber if they choose to do it Verizon could literally say we're going to buy this company we're going to shut off any in all of your copper assets and we're just going to use what you have on fiber and we're going to build on that it's up to Verizon how they want to operate it they could move the copper uh customer off of off of copper onto fwa in the meantime and upgrade them to fiber later this deal presents a lot of flexibility now that they have a ton of capacity on air with cand I think they could make it work by offloading the customer onto fwa in the meantime so much so many possibilities from this deal we will have to further analyze once the deal gets uh officially announced got to see the finances I'm positive that Verizon's going to take on a lot of debt a lot of additional debt here and we will see how they move forward right I don't know how this is going to affect the company it's probably going to be a shock to the market because they did let go of Frontier so it'll be a bit of a shock might negatively impact the stock at first because they are going to take on some additional debt by buying this company but we will see how the deal is structured we will see how it positively affects the company of of course the the the additional fiber that they gain from this deal is going to help them out a lot but there is some like I said there are a large part of large part of that business is copper that they would have to upgrade and that requires additional Capital so this is this is sounding like to me this is an an additional heavy capital investment for for for years to come but in the long run right could present lots of return on the initial investment so let me know your thoughts in the comments this is a big breaking news story midday let us know in the comments we'll make some longer videos later today on this like share subscribe if you're new follow my social media Outlets this is Tyrone with tech life see y'all in the next one peace
