it is a beautiful day in Southern California welcome to B Rams I'm happy to be here in our new home for training camp in LMU presented by UniFi my name is Roy Santiago your host and join me today is our second pick in draft 2024 number 55 defensive lemman Bren Fisk Brayden thank you for stopping by I'm excited to get to know you better how you doing I'm doing great like you say I can't complain about this good weather out here it is it is beautiful I don't think I've seen a cloud in a month since I've been out here so that's been pretty cool but uh no I'm doing awesome you know good start of training camp so far how's training camp and so far uh it's been great so far I mean just getting acclimated again you know we had about a month and a half off since OTA so I think OT is a good taste what what training camp was going to be like and it's just been a notch uh a little bit higher but no it's been awesome so far getting some good looks can you describe uh your experience since being drafted by the Rams CH today uh yeah I mean it's been chaotic for the most part just a lot of traveling a lot of trying to get things you know put together and on on the football side of things you know get my body right learning The Playbook you know learning the scheme of you know what's expected of me so yeah it's uh it's been a grind I can tell you I mean uh that the phone call between you and Jared during the draft is one of my favorite moments ever in the draft and it's amazing Theon the you you guys have especially since you played together only one year why do you think your friendship became so strong uh I just think a common you know there's a common outlook on what we want to achieve is the biggest thing I think uh you know just the work e work ethic is is one thing but when you have somebody to mass up with and someone to compete with I think I just you know grew us closer I mean just constantly competing with each other and you know it just becomes something fun that you're doing every day and you know somebody I see every single day I mean we're working together and then you know we're staying or staying after late to put more work in you know watching film whatever it may be so you're just constantly around somebody you just build this Bond and you know when you get on the field you want to see them have success and you want to have success yourself so I mean once that combination starts happen I mean it just becomes you know it's awesome I the chemistry or the power out there and I can wait to call your place man it's it's an exciting time to be a Rams fan um obviously uh the sad news during the pr season was Aaron ronal retired and the entire defensive lineman will need to step up to the challenge are you been in contact with ad uh we've exchanged text a couple times nothing nothing too much I know he's uh he's probably enjoying the time right now so you know we we just as a room we got to put it together and you know we we got to we got to make it happen what do you think uh are your strengths and weakness as a pro football player oh I mean I think my strengths are definitely you know just the speed to power the get off and you know being able to make plays in the back field and you know just the versatility up and down the line I me kind of play all across the board and uh weaknesses you know I mean they're always working on I think everything you know we're just working on you know just trying to sharpen the sword you know whether that's in the Run game pass game you know whatever we can uh you know just work on and get better I think that's constantly you know that's a daily drives to get better kind of your whole game you know sharpen the sword what uh is uh the most challenging part of being a defensive lineman in the NFL today uh I mean just the adjustments I mean you're paying attention to a lot more things going on in the back field than you you were necessarily in college I mean you're looking looking at all the receivers looking at tight ends running backs kind of alignment from you know many different uh I know St running you know this guy fun and you guys have a lot of uh um coming together I mean you are young and you are part of the new generation of the uh players in the Rams and obviously now he's doing a new role as a center in the team and you need to fill up the big shoes of Aron Don right yeah no I mean Steve's done a great job we have some pretty good battles so far in training camp and OTAs and uh yeah I mean I agree I think there is big shoes to fill but you know somebody somebody's got to do it and you know we got to go out there we's got to keep working hard and you know I think we got a really good group of young guys like you talked about you know we're hungry you know I think the cool thing about a room is you know we all want each other to succeed you know we got a really good group of guys we just have a lot of fun and you know we work really hard together and uh yeah I mean there's no I there's a lot of competitive this in the room but we all want to see each other you know have success out there do you have any pregame superstitions like uh you know uh uh things you do before any it's F yeah it's fun we were talking about that dinner last night uh I used when I was a freshman yeah I mean it used to be little things of you know always wearing two socks or something like that but now now I just go out there and play I used to have some but now it's just more so man I I play football you know like there's nothing to be superstitious but go out there and play so we no is the vibe in the room it's really good and right now but uh what do you think is going to be the most challenged part of this journey especially for you as a younger player this is a younger team and in the calendar is not that hard but it's not easy and there's a lot of expectation for the Rams this season 100% you know I I think we Embrace those expectations because we should I mean that's it's it's a privilege to have expectations of yourself and you know I think you know as a group we are young but like I said you know we're a hardworking group you know we get after it and uh I mean I said I think it's going to be step by step for me personally you know I mean it's a long season going from college you you play 12 13 games I playing you know guaranteed 17 so I mean I think that's the most challenging part of you know just keeping up on that grind being able to stay consistent throughout you know the long season and um you know it's nothing new you just got to stay consistent you know stay on your line and you know I feel good about it going into especially with the group that I'm working with there's going to be five games in prime time which one it's uh the one you're looking forward more um I mean anytime we play I I like Max Crosby guys so we play the Raiders it's going to be crazy especially in Sofia because in Los Angeles there's a lot of uh Raiders fans so but uh that's going to be fun yeah it's a fun game yeah I'm excited for it that's going to be fun and um also I'd like to know what about your goals uh term go long-term goals on and of the field yeah what are they uh I mean on the field I think I mean just keep growing keep getting better that's kind of been a constant theme throughout my whole career is you know just I've grown and gotten better and gotten better and you know now that I've gotten to the NFL I can see you know being around other Pros you can see how much more you know my game has to improve so I think that's the most exciting part is how much better a football player I can get and you know kind of become you know a staple name in this league that'd be awesome and then uh off the field you know I'm big into investing you know I like I'm big into the stock market and just you know setting up long-term retirement and uh success and I mean that's something for me just continue to grow my portfolio and you know set my family up for long term I was checking your profile and I found this a funny story about your old Honda Court still it's in shop right now in the sh it's in the shop right now nice nice because most of the players when they made it to the NFL they like to upgrade right I went looked at a car and I was like ah the interest rate was ridiculous I was like I can hold off for a little bit I have my I have my Accord shipped out here the next week I don't know how you fit on that vehicle because I mean you are tall and you're you're big hey the gas mileage is good out here I need it so it's uh it's pretty especially now living in Los Angeles which is expensive kid no kidding yeah it's crazy talking about Los Angeles there plenty of uh options out there about food entertaining do you have the chance to enjoy yourself yeah a little bit uh my favorite me and my girlfriend's favorite spot right now in wooden Hills B and PES is tough KN yeah she likes Mexican in oh yeah oh so do I nice nice That's like our main that's our main stay is going to find a Mexican spot let me let me make you a couple of random questions favorite movie favorite movie oo
