It's nice seeing them out there, uh, excited for the game and we're hoping to bring him a good forecast for that as well. A lot of people are gonna be out watching that Friday night football. Let's take a look at what you can expect as a head out the door first though. We are looking at another hot day on the way with the chance of maybe some rain, not as hot as yesterday. We had 100 degrees in Memphis. Once again, it looks like as we go into later portions of today, not gonna be too much of a concern. 76 degrees right now, Memphis Millington, 7275 currently in South Haven in Arlington, you're sitting at 72 degrees. Currently, we did pick up quite a bit of rain in North Mississippi, a couple inches worth in some locations only around 2, 1/100 of an inch officially at the Memphis airport. Our first rain in weeks and we desperately need this rain as drought continues to build across the area. So, unfortunately, it's timing out just in time for the weekend, but we really do. We need this rainfall. So let's break down what you can expect as we head into your Friday afternoon, 3 p.m. Most of us, upper eighties, low nineties and this is where we're gonna see the potential of some storms very similar to yesterday. I don't think all of us see rainfall but those of us that do it will be pretty hard at times. We can't rule out some gusty winds and as we head into the evening is still more of the same. So for Friday night football something we'll keep an eye on for sure with a lot of people out and about tonight. So this afternoon and temperatures look to be in the low nineties, we'll be watching for the chance of some of those isolated storms in the afternoon. And for Friday night football right now, we're hoping things are gonna be dry. We can't rule out a straight shower or storm and temperatures not terrible for this time of the year. We're still warm around 82 degrees around 9 p.m. So, uh, definitely some good football weather today tomorrow, we'll keep an eye on things as well. The Tiger is having their home opener as well and you're gonna see as you go through your Saturday, more of the same on the way, more scattered showers and storms in the afternoon and the evening temperatures likely in the upper eighties. So a little bit cooler than today, thanks to increased cloud cover. So, if you are heading out to that Memphis North Alabama game over at the Liberty stadium there. It looks like some showers and storms in the evening. Something we can't roll out a little bit cooler as well. So we're talking mid eighties as we get into the evening. So your 70 forecast going forward 91 degrees today, scattered storms that continues into your Saturday and Sunday as well. 84 a little bit cooler on your Sunday, Labor Day itself. 89 degrees partly cloudy skies. And as we get into next week looks like temperatures a little bit cooler. Let's move over to traffic though. As you head out the door this morning, it looks like drive times look to be a pretty typical for this time of the year if you're heading west on I 40 Germantown Parkway to the flyover around a six minute drive.
