Jose Altuve bobblehead giveaway at Constellation field

[Music] welcome it is Saturday August the 24th 2024 today I'm headed to Constellation Field to see the Space Cowboys take on the Albuquerque Isotopes now the Space Cowboys are an affiliate of the Houston Astros and tonight they're giving away a Jose Altuve bobblehead doll to the first 2000 fans now the uh gates open at 5:30 the game starts at 7:05 also it's cheer night and they're going to have an appearance from the Astros shooting stars so join me if you will will you currently it's 93° outside so it is quite toasty Constellation Field the line doesn't look that bad [Music] Meo was team store and get me a collector's pin all right last time I got this one so I think we'll go with this one this time so let's take all together they have one two three four and five so this will be my second one what is this in my space Cowboys [Music] era all right so a little hack if you buy something at the team store they'll give you a bag to put your uh giveaway item in so you don't have to just hold the Box you have a bag to put it [Music] [Music] in all right I'm probably going to get some nachos and a drink before the lines get too long so this time I didn't purchase an actual seat I purchased the lawn tickets which you can bring your own chair or a towel or a blanket and sit out in the grass over there and right filled but I just figured I'm going to walk around and uh just check out the ballpark probably find a place to sit every now and then but yeah if you get the lawn seat it's $14 plus tax and fees it comes up to about $19 so that's pretty much the cheapest ticket that you you can get here and this is the grassland area and this is where the uh pictures warm up all right it's currently 539 Gates opened at 5:30 they let us in a few minutes early and the first pitch is at 7:05 all right that's the Texas size scoreboard and they have a uh kids Cay area it really is a nice little ballpark now I was going to go get something to eat but the ladies said they don't start serving food until 6:00 so I'm going to have to wait about 20 minutes or so now I have been here numerous times over the years it used to be the Sugarland skers until the Houston Astros took over and now they are the Space Cowboys but yeah this ballpark opened in 2012 I've been to a lot of games here seen Roger Clemens pitch here even Tracy McGrady of the uh Houston Rockets he had a little small stint in baseball and I love me some Dipping Dots it's a good day for it too cuz it is hot oh tomorrow they giv away to basketball jersey Space Cowboys August 25th all right on the other side the lady said they weren't serving food until 6:00 but over here they're already serving food I already see people getting their food already so I guess I'm going to get in line all right well I decided to hold off on the food I'm going to spin this wheel over here and see uh what I can win all oh sorry feeling to oh thank you appreciate it cool I got a cooling towel everybody all right I got me some helmet nachos and a souvenir drink the nice lady behind the counter told me that there's free refills with those souvenir cups that's good to know and I'm going to feel that in the [Music] little bit early and I got the bobblehead doll and uh got me some food uh yeah it was kind of a boring game I'm leaving early but um I wanted to show on the outside this bridge looks pretty [Music] cool all right this is a bridge just outside the back of the stadium my uh running group usually runs this uh bridge on Tuesdays I've ran it uh many times before but it goes right along the back of the uh [Music] Stadium it's definitely a good little workout and there's the the Texas size scoreboard the back of it Constellation Field like I said it's a pretty neat uh ballpark it's definitely a nice night out it's uh it's a little warm there's a cool breeze blowing and uh when I was waiting a line earlier it wasn't too bad you know um we got to wait on the side of the building in the shade and they had a big fan so it wasn't bad at all and I believe I mentioned before they used to be called the Sugarland skers well when the Houston Astros took over they renamed them the Space Cowboys Houston Astros and over here is the Sugarland Space Cowboys logo I like how they uh built this for uh Deacon Jones you see the different logos there space Cowboys Astros and there's the skero logo Grover William deakon Jones pretty cool so on August 28th at Boston Jose Altuve became the first Astros player to hit for the cycle in 10 years his hits were a double in the third inning a single in the fifth a triple in the sixth and a home run in the eighth Altuve cycle was the ninth in Astros history well that's going to do it for my video for today as always thanks for watching be safe be
