What will Tre'Davious White bring to the Los Angeles Rams?

all right so what of any big dominoes left to fall another uh you know uh key very good free agent at one point in his uh career and is still just 29 years old travius white uh signs with the Rams for a one-year deal worth uh 8.5 million up to 10 million why why does a player who is at his caliber only get that much money at this point in his career well so you know throughout the first four seasons in his career he was honestly you know on Pace to potentially be a gold jacket guy when it was all said and done at the very least a very good player if not quite that level um was kind of a consistent like top like five Corner in football you on most lists that way and you could look at maybe some underlying numbers and say that was a bit not quite that good but he was still always a really good corner for Buffalo gets injured uh in 2021 and just really hasn't been the same sense he's he played in both the 2022 and 2023 season but uh you know he played the end of the 2022 season and in fact I think it was a mistake when the bills threw him out there he didn't look fully ready at that point and they were kind of trying to have him still be a number one corner and her defense got significantly worse once he was there came you know this season and played better this year uh but then gets injured again um you know just after four weeks so didn't get a huge play um sample size here so for the Rams they are betting on upside and you know I think the Rams what they typically do is they draft a bunch of uh players just usually not in the first round get a bunch of guys later in rounds and then they try and you know get that that way but when they did of Corners it didn't fully work last year their coverage unit was quite frankly a mess last season this year they're doing what they can to make that better and I honestly think that this could be a real you know it's a high reward move it really is they added Darius Williams in fre agency as well so you know and maybe something like this with you the other young guys like you know Kobe Durant could he potentially play better now that he's not expected to you know uh have as big of a role potentially could you know uh could the Daran Kendrick maybe be better as a number three I don't know uh but maybe those guys can be depth pieces instead of starters and if it doesn't work out it doesn't work out so there is a high risk to this of not just losing out of the money but maybe you're not going to draft a guy where otherwise you could have things like that but as a whole it's a smart move for the Rams who are certainly in a bit of a unique spot losing Aaron Donald is going to make this a loss in the off season just in general but they've kind of done a lot of other really smart things up until this point I think to kind of still build around this roster and I don't think it's out of the question they could actually be better next year if they fill up those weaknesses even if obviously they're losing one of the best to ever do it in Aaron Donald at the very least they could be more complete of a defense next year this is one more move trying to make that happen so yeah that's what I think about all this what do you think let me know in the comments below always always love hearing from you and of course as always thanks for watching
