Hello everybody welcome back to the channel uh today I have another video for y'all and it's a pretty interesting one uh I'm sort of redoing sort of uh a tier list that I already did before uh but I didn't really do it too well and the audio quality was pretty bad as many people noted so I'm going to redo it uh it's been a while since I've done one of these but I know you guys enjoy this so let me know what you guys think and um I'll first start off by addressing the way I'll be ranking these presidents so the way I'm going to be doing is pretty simple it's going to be three main characteristics number one the impact of the US president on the country or of his policies rather number two will be the impact that it had in the long term and number three will be their General the general uh consensus that historians have for their ranking so I'll try to take all that into account and I will try to rank them as objectively as possible now I will say this though uh this I don't know why there's a tier for Joe Biden I'm going to delete that cuz I'm going to try to stay objective as possible uh but there's no actually this is in order so that's good so this is all in order and uh without further Ado let's get into it so first off we have George Washington I think any rational person that follows any sort of US History would know that George Washington is an S tier the guy created the country he was a completely incredible leader he was the guy who created the country uh he was very unifying his Farewell Address is very well known for his unification or for its unifying message rather uh and there's really nothing much else to say I mean there are some criticisms such as he was a slaveholder but other than that he was a pretty good leader very strong although during his presidency there wasn't much that he did that was really tangible but just for the fact that he created the union and was the founding father that everybody knows I will put him at an ester next up we got John Adams this guy is uh pretty interesting a lot of people don't really know much about him except for the fact that he was kind of a tyrant uh we do know this through some of his acts such as the uh sedition alien Sedition Acts where he was basically trying to censor people in the United States many people said that he was very difficult to work with his personality was pretty difficult and overall his policies didn't really stick for the most part he had the XYZ Affair as well which he didn't handle too well I will put him at a d tier I don't think he was a great president he was a founding father I will give him credit there but as a president he wasn't that great Thomas Jefferson is a very interesting one I think Thomas Jefferson is a great president in terms of theory he had probably the best theoretical idea of running the US government the separation of the of the different branches of the government was probably the best uh system that anyone had articulated at the time I do believe that there are some flaws that has however he was a major slaveholder that we can't deny but his policies were pretty good for the most part they were pretty different from what he had originally advocated for so in the sense that he was sort of a big government uh president rather than the small government president that he was advocating for but overall his policies were pretty impactful I will put him at I want to put him between an A or a B I think I'll put him at an a because I don't want to start off too low for these presidents but I think John or uh Jefferson is a really good president next up we got is this yeah this is Madison uh James Madison another Founding Father very important for the United States creation I just I don't think he was as impactful as some of these other presidents were I think he was very good in terms of his founding theories uh but there's really nothing much that happened that was really really significant at the time actually no I just forgot uh War of 1812 they had that that wasn't really much of a success pretty much a stalemate not not a good uh not a good War for the us but I do think he was a very good theorist uh in the sense that the way that he helped create the foundy documents were pretty uh pretty important for the nation I'll put him at a c tier I don't want to put him too low I don't think he was a terrible president I just think in terms of policy there isn't much to give him points on next up we got Monroe our friend James Monroe I know a lot of people know about Monroe because of the Monro Doctrine that's one thing that really uh brought him to light when we're thinking of US presidents so I think I'll base it mostly on that because it's probably his biggest success policy success so basically just for those of you that don't know the bun Doctrine was essentially when he essentially warned European nations just Britain and France uh and Spain that the US would not tolerate any sort of colonization and any sort of interference in the United States or in their regions so he sort of uh made the US its own country essentially that's what he did and you got to give him credit for that because there were many times where some there were some very vague non- answers when it came to us disputes with other countries but he made it very clear if you come and interfere with us we're going to fight back I do know not think that he was an a tier president I I think B tier is fair I think he was a very good president not as good as Jefferson or Washington though next up we got John Quincy Adams again I I don't think he was that good he was probably on par with his dad maybe a bit better but then again there's also allegations that he didn't really win the election was kind of rigged one uh I do think that is definitely possible because it did end up going to Congress the vote and that's how how he ended up winning so he really shouldn't have been president if we're going to be completely honest but he was succeeded by a guy by the name of Andrew Jackson who was the first populist US president that we've ever had uh who was pretty angry that he lost actually in that election against John Quincy Adams but I think in terms of policy Jackson was pretty good I think Jackson did do what he preached he did uh Implement what he preached um and he was a very good he he was a war hero I mean people loved that's sort of why he was known uh when he actually ran for president and he also advocated for this whole Common Man idea uh and I do think dracko is good in terms of policy for the most part so I'll put him probably somewhere I I would put him in an A but I I don't want to put too many people at a so I'll put him at a B I think he was a very good president but not quite an A or an S oh by the way I don't know why there's an e tier I don't I don't know who uses e tiers that's weird oh there you go uh Martin Van Beren again another guy didn't really have much policy there there isn't much to say it was one term I believe uh I'll put him at D I don't really know much about him if I'm going to be completely honest he didn't really do much to change the country uh next up we got William Harrison I believe yeah William Harrison this guy was there for two months I don't really want to be rude I'll put him in a deter he didn't do anything at all he died because uh he gave a speech in the cold and I think he got pneumonia or something and he died from that so again a guy who didn't really have much time to prove himself as a president I don't really from what I've read he would have been probably in the same tier as probably the rest of these guys so he's probably still would have been a d tier if he had gone through with some of the policies that he was thinking of uh John Tyler again another guy didn't really do much he was one term not really well known I'll put him in a d tier just to be safe I'm not going to put an f f tier is for is reserved for the the worst so we're not going to put him quite there we got James pulk I will actually put pulk at a B tier the reason why I put pul is out of B tier is because I think he's a bit underrated uh he did have that war in which he won a lot of territory the Mexican-American War so he did actually gain a lot of territory through that um and he was a very good president I I think for the most part even with the gold mines too I don't know if you guys remember uh or those of you guys that know about this actually I should say because none of us were around back then but he had this uh State of the Union Address where he essentially uh spoke about the gold mines uh that were present in the US and that led to the gold rush and whatnot so I got to give him credit for that um I think he was good in terms of you know sort of gaining more territory for the us so I will give him credit there I just don't think there's anything else beyond that that that I that could put him at an A or an s in terms of theory or whatnot uh next up we got is this Zachary Taylor I think this is Zachy Taylor another guy who frankly didn't really have much of an impact I'll put him at D tier uh there's not much else to say he wasn't really well known Mill Filmore I would put him at F but I'm not going to be like that weird about it don't really know much about him again another guy who shouldn't have been president there for what three years because Zachary Taylor died I think I think Zachary Taylor died oh yeah he did um but then again like there's not much that he did he's sort of like another guy who I will be ranking later on Chester Arthur I'll get him later but yeah there's not much else to say about him uh we got Franklin Pierce another guy who really didn't stop so this is now we're transitioning to the point where the Civil War is looming he didn't do enough to stop the looming Civil War but he was very welln before he became president uh but he should have done more he should have done more uh but he did he wasn't as bad as the guy who succeeded him which was James beanan who was by far one of the worst Presidents in history this guy was a complete incompetent didn't know what he was doing he was not aware of what the issue was with the South or as big or how big of an issue it would be he basically let them essentially start the Civil War because of his stupid policies that did nothing to stop the war from happening there's not much else to say this guy is complete failure his one term but he was succeeded by someone argue the greatest president in history Abraham Lincoln who completely reshaped the course of the nation abolished slavery um he ended the Civil War he he brought the us through the tough times during the Civil War and he was the first president to ever get assassinated so I think Abraham Lincoln is one of those guys who I think in my opinion he probably is the best president but it's just really unfortunate when you look at the contrast from Lincoln to the next guy Andrew Johnson who is another F tier because he is just terrible complete racist who did not care about helping the North or the union rather I should say because by then the union had unified he cared about he didn't really know what he was doing he he cared about nothing but the South uh for whatever reason I mean honestly he just complete incompetent for the job after such a big war that the US went through he didn't help at all with reconstruction but Ulus Grant did help quite a bit with Rec construction Ulus Grant is an interesting one I think Ulus Grant gets a bad rep for the corruption that was going on at the time in his government rightfully so obviously I'm not going to deny that but he was a very good president in my view and and he was obviously a war hero again we see sort of a pattern here like we got Jackson we got say Grant these are war heroes these are guys who became president mostly because of their name through War uh but I do I do think uls's Grant was very good he had those three amendments that were passed that allowed African-Americans to become citizens and uh to vote so that's something that he did during his time he also helped a lot reconstruction and he did last two terms so I will give him that as well I'll put him in a b tier I don't think he's quite an A but I think he's a very good president nonetheless Rutherford B Hayes this guy another filler president I call him filler president the reason why I call him filler president is because you'll hear this term quite often actually filler president is basically someone who's just there four years you know just was there to transition to the next guy who would last two terms he's a filler president in my term in my view there are some presidents who were one term that had significant influence but he's a filler president in my view I don't think he really did as much as he should have um again another guy who was sort of like a forced pick he was sort of a compromise he wasn't supposed to win but I'll put him in a c-tier I don't think he would destroy the country or he did anything terrible he did do some things but not enough to put him at a b or an a tier James Garfield another guy uh who got assassinated second person to get assassin or second person to get assassin US History if James Garfield had survived for that term he probably would have another one and I think if he had won another one and he had gone full eight years or whatever it would have been because there were no term limits maybe it would have gone longer but if he had survived I think he would be an a tier and S tier he was a very smart guy he uh created institutions in Ohio he climbed his way up from absolutely nothing he understood the people he was in the military he did all sorts of things um but unfortunately he got assassinated after what I think it was one year or one year and a half or something based on that there's not much policy that he has but just because I do think it's sort of an exception because I I do know a lot about him you know I'll be fair I'll put him at a d tier because there's not much tangible proof that suggests that he would be a catier with someone like uh rord B Hayes next up we got Chester Arthur this guy's a filler president this guy's a definition of filler president he used there just to complete the term uh many people actually said that he was better than they expected because Chester Arthur was sort of like a product of the corrupt system at the time with all the the the big corporations and whatnot he used to take a lot of money and stuff like that he's sort of one of those corrupt politicians I don't think he was a good president I just I'll put him at a d tier just be safe Grover Cleveland uh the US ended up bankrupting under him he was a pretty good uh uh moment it was a pretty good moment for the Democrat rat especially when he won because Democrats hadn't won in a long time before him but then again he's the only president have gone two non-consecutive terms that could change if Trump wins but uh there's there's not much of an influence he also didn't really stop the big corporations who were completely predatorial in their practices at the time standard oil I'm looking at you uh but I'll I'll put him at a seat here I I think he was a good for the Democrat party and I think in terms of influence for Democrats at the time I think he was pretty important because could you imagine if these guys had all been a republican all these guys from uh it would have been Grant I think Grant all the way to uh Taft that that would have been all Republican if he had not won we got Benjamin Harrison this guy's a definition of filler president he's I'll put him at fq just because I don't I just think he's so useless didn't do anything at all he was garbage garbage I don't know what else to put about him like to say about him just like he did nothing he really did not do anything the only thing I know about him is that I saw this clip on YouTube of him talking on a phone I think or recording or something he was like the first president to be recorded whose voice was recorded but I mean that's good for him but I don't really care about that then we go William McKinley I think William McKinley would have been another good one another good president I think he could have been much better than some of these other guys on the list um but he was assassinated he was assassinated that was uh pretty unfortunate really think about it because I think he could have been a pretty good president he was there during the Spanish American war or so he oversaw it uh which was a success for the us so I will give him credit there they did win the war under him so he did do some good stuff in that sense but his policies were cut short because he was assassinated pretty early I'll put him at I want to put him at a B but I I think that would be too generous I'm going to put him as a c tier I don't think he was terrible though I don't think he was terrible Teddy Rosevelt was the guy who succeeded him after he had been assassinated and he also stayed for quite a bit I think Teddy Rosevelt is an automatic a tier this guy did a lot for the country he helped break down the big corporations stand oil and whatnot he brought down those big corporations uh because they were completely just dominating the business industry in the United States and they were just monopolies and he brought them down he helped with wildli preservation I know he did that people liked him for that as well um he also was pretty involved in terms of foreign policy he had a pretty what you would Now call hawkish approach to foreign policy but it did actually work out out so I think I will give him credit there and he was just just really tough guy I mean I don't know if you guys know about this but many people do but there was a time when after he was President he had lost the Republican nomination whatnot and he created his own party and he got shot during his speech but he kept going for two hours I think it was or something like that this guy's a really tough guy I'll put him at an a because he's a pretty important leader and there's a reason why he's on Mount Rush not everyone's on there uh next up we got William Howard Taft I was kind of surprised as him because I remember being a lot bigger than this notably probably 150 pounds bigger than this uh William hard Taft I think was not supposed to be president I I don't think he should have been a president just based on his expertise and his desire to be on the Supreme Court the presidency made no sense for him and he even said himself that the presidency wasn't as big as accomplishment as actually being on the Supreme Court so the only thing I can really think of him is that the reduction tariffs that he did during his presidency I think uh he tried to save or he tried to protect coal and ore or something but everything else he brought down the tariffs for which by the way was a protectionist policy by Teddy Roosevelt his uh his president at the time because he was VP I'll put him at a c tier or not this guy I'll put him at CER I don't think he's terrible I just he shouldn't have been president it didn't really make sense for him to be President woodro Wilson uh World War I president first Democrat in God knows how many years for that until that time um woodro Wilson should not have got involved in World War I I think many people can agree on that and he was also sort of uh authoritarian in the sense that he shut down any sort of opposition and censored anybody who opposed the war so again he's not really a good person but I I will give him credit for leading the us through World War I but then again that could have been avoided so I'm going to put him at dour I think there's many conflicting versions of the story when it comes to World War I involvement in the US but I think for the most part people can agree that it really shouldn't have happened uh who's this Warren G Harding was this guy no this guy wasn't assassin he died he died in office I remember um again don't really know much about him he's sort of whatever D tier Calvin kulage Calvin coolage was the embodiment of l a fair economics this guy did not touch anything when it came to the economy he basically let the economy work itself he had no involvement in the economy at all for the most part he was pretty status quo for foreign policy and he was there for what eight years I think six years seven years he was there for a while uh we'll talk about his predecessor in a second but I you can't really blame the depression on him I don't think his policies really would have changed the course of the depression I think we can only blame it on one person actually no we can't really blame it on the one person but we can blame the the handling of the depression on this one person in the second but I think Calvin kulage was pretty good in terms of embodying you economics I think he did a really good job of that so I'll put him at a B tier I don't think he was a terrible president again if maybe he could have done some things to change the trajectory of the Great Depression was which is about to happen in 1929 which is the end of his term I believe but then again I don't think any sort of policy change at that point really could have changed the course of history uh we got Herbert Hoover who is automatically n here this guy's terrible there's not much else to say except for the fact that he's completely incompetent he shouldn't have won the presidency he was completely just terrible he didn't know what he was doing uh he had the smooth Holly tariff many you guys may recall what that was it was essentially a tariff that he tried to pass to try to ease things during the Great Depression but it just made things worse he didn't know what he was doing the only highlight for him would be after he was out of office when he tried to lead famine initiatives he was called up by uh I think it was Truman by Eisenhower to lead initiatives in Europe but he wasn't present during that time so it doesn't really matter FDR FDR a lot of I know a lot of Democrats are probably going to say s tier or a tier at the minimum I'm going to put FDR at a B tier the reason why I put him at a B tier is actually no no no I can't do that I'm going to put an a tier and I'm not even a big F R fan uh but FDR there's so many things to talk about him I mean World War II leadership longest serving president uh the New Deal you know all those different things leading the us through very tough times very tough times really think about it there's many things that he did that were good um I I can't put him an S tier because in order to be an S tier I think you really got to be one of these two guys that's the only two people I can put s year but I think he was by far one of the most influ infuential US president is probably the most influential US president in history based on policy you know Social Security and all that stuff is still around today and still a big point of discussion for both Democrats and Republicans uh and he really persevered like the Supreme Court kept striking down things Republicans made it difficult but he got things done and he got them through and he made things different at the time and he changed the trory of the Great Depression he made it uh pretty smooth recovery for the most part Harry Truman I see Harry Truman being ranked in the top 10 by historians I don't really understand why he's ranked that high I don't think Harry Truman's particularly impressive I think he's at best a c tier so I'll put him at a c tier just because I I'll be nice uh Harry Truman you know biggest biggest thing is probably dropping the nukes on Hiroshima Nagasaki uh he also was I would say he was the reason why the Cold War started but he was the first Cold War era US president so that whole era began and I think he could have done a lot more to minimize situation which he didn't really do Dwight Eisenhower I really like Eisenhower I think he's a great president I'm going to put him at B tier you know Eisenhower he built the roads pretty much built the country that was probably his biggest thing uh he had some good policies in terms of Cold War he was the guy who infed address the military industrial complex the first time so he sort of coined that term and it's still being used today uh I think Eisenhower I mean again another guy American war hero obviously that's probably 90% of the reason why he got elected and people loved him even after he left so I got to put him in a b tier not an a tier because an a tier would be someone like these people but then again still a very good president I'll probably put him at the top of B tier like he's probably the best b-tier president uh next up we got JFK I really like JFK I again I would like to put him in an a tier but I don't want to I don't want to minimize the value of an a tier position for a US president so I will put him in a b tier there are some things to attack him on obviously the Cuban Missile Crisis he dealt with really well but the Bay of Pigs invasion wasn't as good uh and he was the latest so the fourth and latest president to be assassinated he tried to really Implement change in the country and for the most part most people know I mean most country or most of the US country probably thinks that he was assassinated because of that because he was doing too many things at once and they The Establishment didn't like it it's probably why they uh ended up getting a CIA Inside Job who knows I don't really believe in those theories but you never know uh we got who who's this oh Lyn Johnson okay I forget ly Johnson I'll put him as C tier I'll put him as C tier I know a lot of people don't agree with this but I mean many people would probably say especially Republicans nowadays actually I don't think Republicans would but I think most like super anti-war activists would probably put him in F tier just because of Vietnam by the way JFK did oversee Vietnam you got to keep that in mind um oh yeah also I forgot to mention Harry Truman oh saw the Korean War which really shouldn't have happened so yeah I I'll keep that see whatever lynen Johnson uh Great Society he tried he had a lot of legislation um he's another guy who frankly I don't really know why he got involved in Vietnam as much as he did he was very adamant again or very uh persuasive with his speech with the way he spoke uh about Vietnam but then ended up biting him because he ended up losing a lot of support ended up dropping out of the race and then he was replaced by Hubert Humphrey who got obliterated by our friend Richard Nixon who I will put at a B tier I think Nixon is overhated for no reason I think he did a lot of good things day taunt China relations you know just overall Cold War era dealings Vietnam War I mean he it didn't end under R obviously but he tried to slow it down quite a bit he toned down the US presence in Vietnam and uh for those of you that care about this he got the US off the gold standard but I think Nixon is always yeah like obviously Watergate was bad we can't really deny that I just don't think that should be the defining moment for his entire Legacy next up we got Gerald Ford another guy who frankly was a filler president didn't really belong in the office I mean it was really weird that he became president because Spyro agu was Nixon's VP he resigned because he had his own controversy in uh I think it was Maryland or something so spyy resigned he was the speaker of the house I believe Gerald Ford so he automatically became vice president then Nixon resigned then he became president so he shouldn't have been president honestly he's probably very happy that he became president because otherwise he would have had no chance of becoming president uh he did pull out of Vietnam but he did end up losing to Jimmy Carter I'll put him in a c tier I mean there's not much else to say about him because he was there for like a long time he was there for like two years Jimmy Carter F tier terrible president uh terrible leader just another guy who was a filler president all I got to say is Iran hostage crisis and then that's pretty much it the economy wasn't good either during his time I will give him credit for after his presidency when he did a lot of humanitarian work but that's not what we're grading him on we're grading him on his presidency so he was a good president I'll put him an F TI Reagan I want to put rean at a um I'll just talk about some of the Reagan points biggest tax cuts in the us at the time um the economy was interesting for those that would it's the way you interpret it really uh the War on Drugs you know Cold War dealing with the Soviet Union the way he did was different for most presidents and I do think he was a very smart guy even though he was an actor many people didn't really think he was smart I think he was very smart um obviously he had some controversies Iran Contra Scandal but I think Reagan's one of those guys I mean he was sort of like the first Evangelical Republican sort of candidate who brought to light some of the issues that many of them had not seen address before so I'll put him at an a tier I think he's on par with some of these presidents George HW Bush so George Bush Senior um I don't really know why he gets hated on so much I think he's a pretty decent president for the most part he again he inherited Reagan's economy um he was Reagan's vice president so that was 12 years of Republican role by then and he did successfully win the Gulf War so I'm going to put him at a B tier I actually think he's not as bad as people think he is or not as mediocre I should say as people think he is Bill Clinton based on character I would put him automatically an F but based on policy I will put him at a d the economy was extremely prosperous under Bill Clinton but in terms of foreign policy he was probably one of the weakest presence on the list he didn't prevent 911 from happening he didn't uh get involved in Somalia he or actually he did a bit but then pulled out he just was not involved enough in foreign affairs and he was I don't want to say he's the reason why 911 happened but there were many times when his top advisers told him we have a location of Assan bin lad whatever we could strike him right now do you want to do and he said no why I don't know but could you imagine if he had done that he probably would have been somewhere a lot higher because 911 was probably one of the biggest things that's happened in US history aside from Pearl Harbor and whatnot uh but I don't think he was a great president obviously had some controversies whatever you know he got impeached or he almost got impeached Too Late by then but I just don't think he's as good as many Democrats like to think he is and I think a lot of Democrats also don't like him just based on his personality which is understandable next up we got George W bush uh probably had the most unsuccessful and useless war in US history I want to put him in a d tier I'm going to put in a d tier I mean the Iraq War was built on a complete lie it shouldn't have happened it was a complete waste of time there was no benefit for the US it just made it 10 times worse in the region it made the situation 10 times worse uh he also had the Afghanistan war this guy just loved War I feel like he just he dreams of a war every night he just did not understand the concept of peace and I understand that his leadership was good during 911 we can't deny that but he led two unnecessary Wars that could have been completely avoided could have been thousands American soldiers that would be home right now that wouldn't have died through this useless War uh millions of Iraqis wouldn't have died just completely unnecessary Wars pretty different from his father if you think about in terms of actual successes because he actually succeeded in winning a war and he didn't succeed in winning any of his Wars Barack Obama I think in terms of precedent I would put Obama at a B but in terms of policy I will put Obama to see Obama was a very optimistic guy he tried a lot of things Medicare um he tried to do a lot of things that Democrats liked but he was also just too he made it so that it seemed too socialist you know things like that need to be paid for and he really had no plan as to how he would pay for them there were other things as well foreign policy he increased the drone strikes by God knows how many numbers he bombed the hell out of the Middle East uh many people don't know this but he deported a lot of people so he was pretty tough on the board I will give him credit there but for the most part in terms of policy he wasn't as good now in terms of speech and overall presentability and rhetoric I think Obama is probably one of the best US president speakers in history probably best actually but we're not basing it on that uh oh man now we got Trump and Biden these are the last two so this is a tough one I'm going to put Trump at B the reason why I put Trump at B is pretty simple I mean there's a lot of good things that he did uh he had the large tax cuts the economy is doing very well Co you can't really blame it on him because nobody knew what was going on I don't think any other president would have dealt with any better and I think if anything he probably dealt with the best uh project warp speed whatever it was Operation warp speed whether you like vaccines or not I mean he did that so he can at least say that he did it um and in terms of foreign policy he was actually pretty good no Wars nor new Wars I should say uh he had some controversies like North Korea rocket man all that stuff Iran solmani when he assassinated him so there were some close calls but I think Trump for the most part I think he's extremely overhated for no reason because if you actually look at his policies they were a lot better than people think they were uh and then we got Joe Biden I'm gonna put Joe Biden left here and I'm not even saying this as a Joe Biden hater or anybody who is affiliated with any of the parties Joe Biden is objectively the worst president of the 21st century there's no denying it he had two new Wars under his watch uh you could say the economy was doing well but inflation's been extremely high the Border crisis has been a huge issue and just looking at the Wars part I mean the amount of money this guy spend on these wars and it's not even going anywhere for the US and you may even see the US get dragged into a war boots on the ground that could be terrible also the Afghan pull out can't forget about that that was one of the first things that happened this guy's been nothing but bad news for the US he's old he's not anymore and God knows how long uh how long he would have lasted if he had another term so this is my overall tier ranking um I know this is pretty different from what you would conventionally see for most people but let me know what you guys think down in the comments below I'm interested in hearing what you guys think uh and if you enjoy this video please drop a like And subscribe to the channel I make all sorts of political videos but then again guys thank you very much I'll see youall in the next one
