the grid a grid that will be led by Spain's Evan Ora second in the World Championship 58 points a drift of series leader David Alonso having the absolute pleasure and privilege of talking you through this special race day here at Silverstone Matt BT and Le s in the comedy box Simon crer as always down on the grid and in pit Lane here is your fastest ride of the weekend so far in Moto 3 Ian Ora with a stunning alltime lap record in Q2 yesterday afternoon a 20927 saw him take Pole Position by the narrow margin of just over 400s of a second from Colin V looking to bounce back the Netherlands Rider from his early crash when leading pre summer break at the German Grand Prix in the saction ring cost the old tumble that was for Vi he dropped down to fourth place in the world championship second third and fourth in the rankings or TOA Danny halard and VI they're split by just six points going into the second part of this year's World Championship it's our runaway leader David alono who stole all the headlines grabbed all the attention in the first part of what's already been a compelling M three World Championship campaign alono goes from the head of the second row in fourth and let's not forget the fireworks he produced here in Silverstone one year ago when he fought his way through from 28th on the grid last to win his first GR on perie what day that was uh for Colombian Motorsport fans leis welcome uh as we mentioned an absolute pleasure to be part of the coverage of this memorable race day here in Silverstone and as always setting the stage the mouthwatering prospect of what should be another thrilling Moto 3 Battle always a pleasure and always an honor to be part of a historic occasion such as this the 75th Anniversary spectacular Moto 3 getting us underway and as you mentioned and if it's anything like what we saw last year then we're in for quite a treat not only did David alono win last year here from the very back of the grid we saw the second closest top 15 in the entire 75e history of this Gro Prix World Championship not to build our hopes up too much but this one feels wide open David Alonso only has to come from fourth this time but make no mistake he will not have it all his own way this afternoon yeah 1.5 72 seconds last year cover davo Down to rusi yamanaka What a finish that was more of the same plays this afternoon young gentleman Evan Ora then on Pole Position a three-time moto three win of the 20y old Spaniard actually it's his 20th birthday today can he celebrate in the best possible fashion sax ring last time out his fifth podium in the opening nine grand prix that's already two more podiums and he scored in the whole of 2023 58 points a drift of alono in the title race lis he's going to have to start making some big in rows into that lead very very soon as we move into the second half of the Season we mentioned the top two on the grid or TOA and VI well completing that front row keep a close eye on the Darwin charger Joel C so he's third on the ground Delight to say the Aussie join Simon he does Joel your skills clearly working around this long fast circuit H especially for a fast lap on the front row how are you feeling about the race feeling good mate feeling good ready to go um hopefully we can make a good race today and uh yeah we're feeling strong it's been a good positive weekend so yeah look forward to it good luck yeah thanks very much Simon thanks to Joel Kel so scheduled well of course he is about to make his 50th Grand Prix start points in 12 of his last 13 but he's been outside the top 10 in the last five since Spanish Grand pry in heret there is Kela the 21y old Australia or toer too on the front row of the grade celebrating his 50th grown Prix start today qualifying yesterday all came down ultimately to the slipstream effect which is going to play a key role in this 15 lap Grand Prix because of the many straights we have around this 5.9 km Silverstone circuit VI had the pace on his own yesterday to set pole position but it was a slipstream from the world championship leader this man here David Alonso which tow all toer to pole position yesterday in qualifying here is your runaway World Championship leader 58 points to the good David Alonso as mentioned took his first ever grown free win here 12 months ago go and has hardly stopped winning since if you start last year at the British grown Prix and work your way forward to now we've had 21 Grand PR David alono has won 10 of them yeah the sa ring win man the fifth Rider In Moto 3 history to have a win tally now in double figures in fact if you look through the record Brooks only Joan M 11 wins Romano fnati 13 wins so won more in Moto 3 it's win tally of 10 is only two less than the rest of the whole of this Moto 3 grid put together incredible let's go back down on to the grid Simon crar is with DAV Lono I Am David it's been an amazing year for you so far what do you think of this big fast Circuit of Silverstone and your chances today yeah long track here so now here we need to try to be H focus on a good star and then with the used tire ER when there are five left to go I think will be a a moment of the r where it's important to see how can we manage the ti so so yeah let's let's try to also to learn from The Other Guys in this way thank you good luck thanks s thanks to the 18-year-old colum David Lono katot Lamar catalunia Mello saction ring victorious in all six there is Danny H we just saw there back of the second row what a ride what a weekend it's been his first appearance here at Silverstone nearly 6 km this British Grand Prix layout very technical very long tough to learn Jacob rolson has been one of the outstanding Riders so far in Moto 3 sixth place on the grid equal best qualifying in his very promising start to his mot 3 world championship career and theight to say he joins Simon down on the grid he does and Jacob you've been really impressive and consistent this year but never been to Silverstone and in the early sessions in the in the very fastest uh group in the top three sometimes I'd really like to hear what you think of the circuit and your chances today yeah it's a really really cool track uh first time being here I was a yeah it's difficult track to find all your references and markers on the in the first laps but no uh I feel like I've yeah Jed quite well with the with the track and yeah the team have given me a very good bike to to be able to fight for the fight for the podium hopefully so yeah super excited to get underway and yeah hopefully hopefully be able to yeah keep up the front and yeah keep keep going thank you hope to see you in park F thank you one to watch isn't he Jacob Rolston the 19-year-old Australian third fastest he was here on Friday afternoon as we mentioned his equal best qualifying second at top six starting position before his dnf an unlucky dnf last time out the sax ring he'd scor points in all of the opening eight grand pris definitely a start of the future in the making as de oie teenager yeah looking for seeing what Rolston can do from there this afternoon behind him we've got his teammate Danny hgo of course who's third now in the world championship a point by Ala but now 59 a drift of David Alonso tatsuki Suzuki the Uber experienced Japanese makes up that third row we just caught a glimpse of the leopard Honda themed fourth row anel picas 11th just behind Jose Antonio Raa and his teammate Adrian Fernandez here alongside him Fernandez had to come through qualifying one yesterday hasn't mean easiest of weekends for him so far but he arrives here on the back of his best ever grown pre result at the Saxon ring pre summer break when he finished him fourth yeah that fourth place was on his eighth top six of his Grand Prix career this is Grand Pre start 56 a batting average is going to want to increase moving into 2025 and Beyond then we're what 3 minutes or so away from lights out on our 75th anniversary celebration weekend here at Silverstone we're not on board trusted with Scott he's actually on the grid he's not inside the BMW safety car talking about the Brits of course on the ftech Honda ml racing machine Ogden fires away from 17th Place on the grid hoping not to repeat his nightmare of his home Grand Prix one year ago when he was sat on the front row full of expectation but full of nerves as well unfortunately it is right on Q Ogden stalling it on the grid I'm to start from pit Lan unable to fight his way back into two point scoring contention the solitary Brit for now Lewis on the gri with his teammate Josh Watley sadly part in company with M laav racing prior to the summer break yeah his place is taken for the next few Races by vicenti Perez he will then make way in Indonesia for Eddie oay who will become a regular entrance in the m 3 world championship next season a odd for Scott Ogden's special helmet design he's wearing this weekend too that's to support his brother Jake who was a helicopter pilot in the Royal Navy yeah we are from Eddie o in the commentary box didn't we on this weekend already a big fan of Eddy's learn this weekend from M stomping ground born and BR in as Delo just like I was not too far away from this Silverstone circuit heading row five then in 13th Place was oh is mato batelli the 8 20y old Italian strong performed so far this year is belli your front row of the grid then for this 15 lap Moto 3 British Grand Prix Joel Kelo seventh front row of his Grand Prix career he first since round two in Portal Colin V faring away from second on the grid but on his birthday can he make it a double celebration even or TOA 20 today the birthday boy trying to win the British Grand Prix motor [Music] [Applause] 3 one year ago the British Grand Prix Silverstone produced the second closest top 15 in history can Moto 3 live up to that one year on birthday boy Evan Arta starts his 50th Grand Pre from pole ahead of Colin V and Joel Kelo championship leader David alono Rus say yaka and Jacob Ron are on road to Stephano Nea Danny Hoggard and tazuki Suzuki right behind them the top 10 completed by Jose Antonio redo who has the layup part honders for company on row four Mato vatelli Jer zusa and Nico cararo on row five cararo making Q2 automatically for the very first time philipo farioli Scott Ogden and Ricardo Rossy on row six Rossy celebrates Century of Grand Prix starts today taton bazri a career best 19th from vicenti Perez and David Munos who got Saturday all wrong both in practice and in qualifying tactics went AR Joel estand almana and Noah deer on the eighth row a grid completed by Daniel sharel who is the injury replacement for Luca Lanetta we also are missing Ty foras this weekend both he and Lanetta injured collar bones in the summer break so the warm-up lap underway and it's a very long warm up left here as well around Silverstone pole position yesterday from Evan or just to give the indication of how long and Technical this Silverstone circuit is 209.000 from AOL yesterday Simon crar just reporting from down in pit Lane well what do you expect we're in the UK we've had a heat wave the last couple of weeks here at Silverstone when I drove uh to this part of central England lightweight category three of last year's top six including David Alonzo David Munos and David Salvador they all came from outside of the top 20 on the grid so it's hard to make a breakway of course Pary Tai choice will be crucial in this race we heard DAV Lono say it's going to be even in Moto 3 a time management battle then you're going to have to go gungho pull the pin with five to go where are we at Lois in terms of the parelli rubber selection the popular choice is the SC2 medium front and medium rear combination two riders in the field have gone for the se1 soft rear tachon bazri and David almana and we have around half a dozen Riders five of them in fact who are on the SC1 soft front they are all on Hondas the leading among them on the grid is anel picas he's the first Rider on the grid on the soft ront so the warm lap then about to be be completed here as we move into the second part of the money 3 world championship of course we head to the sing mountains in Austria next time out another European double header in Aragon Maan we return that instantly back to maana before we head off on our travels get the suitcases packed for five or six weeks the overseas race in Indonesia Japan Australia Malaysia Thailand always a popular part of the M GP World Championship calendar here we are though celebrating our history but it's the future talent in Grand Prix motorcycle racing that are trying to write their own piece their own chapter in the history books here today as the 25 strong field then come to the grid that's this very special occasion in the history of Grand Pre mcycle racing is about to get underway where lights out very shortly the green flag then has cleared at their back and it's lights out and we are racing in Moto 3 here in the British Grand Prix brilliant launch away from Fall position by birthday boy Ora he's going to get the whole shot into Abby for the first time Coo's made a real good start as well the Aussie up think you can see the rain spots falling on the camera in that first corner and Kelo getting on with it on the inside of OTA through turn two he leads and no Ono trying to go on the outside of yamanaka who is a fast starter from the second row fire had an absolute shocker he's dropped all the way down to the fringes of the top six he's just been passed there by Stephan OA VI struggling early on so then it's Kelo then that leads the field out of the entry Corner trying to use some of that KTM horsepower now on the bo M Sports ma they'll attack hard into Brooklyn easy to wipe out the front here on the BS Here Comes Alonso topping it out with h gardo into Brooklyn as they go for the third time of asking look Kelso now is 310 clear of all TOA making an early break for it here as the Australian the tech three gas gas machines have already swapped position alardo now is up ahead of Jacob Ron who's dropped three places back into ninth spot as they go through wood cut for the first time Kelo making an early break he's the thick end of half a second clear yeah that was rolson as well it was out wide on the paint workor and nearly on the grass coming through lufield he's going the wrong way here the Aussie starting from the equal career best grid position of sixth place he's lost so much momentum coming through Lovefield he got picked off by Vell now they sweep through you're almost tapped in Top Gear with the entry through Magus and Beck here on a m of three by it's still cter then what a first lap this has been for the number 66 what a first lap we're seeing from Munos I know you're all surprised 21st on the gitty Wass coming into this one he's already up into ninth position he just carved past patelli as they went through beckin Straight Out of the DAV alono play but remember last year Alonso 28th on the grid he went from 28th to third in just three laps into sto Corner we go then for the first time Joel Kela with a little bit of breathing space they Dro down in the the hollow through Veil here comes hogard from a long long way back he's made that work beautifully in the turn 16 Picks off the inside line rolon at mun rolon had a pretty eventful first lap here he was almost off the track going through Lovefield they go through the gravel and the grass into Veil and Muno pretty angry and pretty frustrated he's right now at the back of the field and he's getting a well he's giving a mouthful to Jacob rollon we'll try and find out what happened there in that rund down to Vale focus on the race ahead of you I know you've had already made your way through from 10 places back already on the first time he's going to have to do it again that's Shaka trying to launch a Counterattack on Danny Hoggard and now he leaves the door wide open for David alono who's back into the fourth place he started from so from the standing start just two Riders on that first half in the two 12 that was Kelo and Ora just wonder whether Ora's a little bit hesitant there when we saw those rain spots falling on the camera lens in the first corner but he he just sort of made him back off ever so slightly Kelo thought thank you very much all seiz the early initiative here as so we see Kelo just move out your picture going through lufield they'll come now attacking hard through the spectacular wood Co Corner this is sixth gear absolutely nailed Full Throttle on a m of three right through this spectacular turn turn eight puzzling first lap and a half this for Colin V from the front row of the grid he's back in seventh now just ahead of his teammate tatsuki Suzuki lost another place was passed Again by NEPA at the start of this second lap on Friday and early Saturday through practice we thought the rider with the best Pace on their own was arguably VI we yet to see any signs of it so far right in the thick of it once again is the impressive Japanese star Rai yamanaka he scored points in the last seven all top 10 with four top sixes he's right in the mix once again is yamanaka he was 15th in the Grand Prix here last year which sounds pretty average but he was 1.5 seconds of taking the victory we'll keep a close eye on the number six David MOS by the way back in 24th Place now second from last right behind him is Rolston as they fan out now into Stow Corner update for the bricks in the field Scott Ogden has made progress from 17th Place on the grade he's up into 13th but you'll just keep a glimpse of him on the gray Royal Navy theme T at the back of this leading train a tough weekend for Jos Antonio rer is lowest qualifying in fact Ron's getting a Long Lap penalty so clearly you sense from mun's reaction and the way he was giving a proper verbal volley to rson that maybe the Aussie was a guilty party is that Ogden and picas I think a pair of them have gone off of the final Corner we saw a brick go down there in m 2 last year and it's poten in fact well Ogden has slipped down the order on our timing screens that is definitely the 21 of vienti Perez have we lost both of the mlav Riders at the same Corner we have Friendly Fire for the fibertech Honda Duo then Jacob rolson has a Long Lap penalty due to irresponsible riding so clearly the guilt party in the contact with munas at the end of the first lap high drama then here at the start of this British Grand Prix Ogden Perez ml teammates with picas going down at turn 18 comination then from the F5 met GP Stewarts the penalty incoming for Jacob rolson back at the front now they're starting to gang up on Kelo fastest ride on the circuit was batelli down with a 209 Point 701 he was ninth at that stage he remains in ninth place as we start this lap three there is Scott Ogden who's got it to see his British Grand Prix end in the manner that it has will try and catch a clipse of it the three of them are running together it's peras who loses it first in front of Ogden who has nowhere to go but to run into the L Honda and vicenti perz is just going to have his own accident I suspect behind this and he joins his teammate in the same gravel trap gutting for Ogden nothing he could do about that talk about the wrong place at the wrong time beas then losing the rear on the L pod on try to squeeze the power and get the drive up the Hilton straight of course named after F1 Legend Lewis Hamilton and Ogden just had nowhere to go you can understand his frustrations but yeah a tough one tough one to swallow for Scott hon who's looking for a ride next season halard has hit the front then for the first time in this British Grand Prix Kelo finally gets to see a rear tire in front of him and we're starting to get a lead group build up here it's halard Kelo alono still firmly in the hunt and NEPA is coming into contention on the 82 but there he is in fourth place via Suzuki batelli Raa Adrien Fernandez will all sense that they're still firmly in The Hunt For the Win here alardo needs a momentum shifter doesn't he four races without a PO you four races since he finished in the top five of a moto 3 race which has seen him full 59 points off the world championship lead of course an awful long way to go in this one yet alono back in fifth at the moment he's battling with NEPA and yamanaka butardo badly needs a victory hasn't had one since ptim m yeah monaka really favors that tight inside line going through turn three at Village Corner showing a few rides his front wheel there actually actually making the move stick venti Perez then has entered the pcks after he was one of those Trio of fallers what looked like his own crash later on on the second lap of 15 here at Silverstone Here Comes Ora thought about a raid on the inside of Kelo into brooklands no way through a little bit further back we can see the hosana teammates of v and Suzuki just trying to keep themselves on the back of That League group of six ahead of them yeah it's 11 who've been able to distance themselves from the rest of the field so far with Adrian Fernandez Jose Antonio AA and belli just trying to keep TPS with this group out and there's Fernandez on the 31 layup out on the sole layup out on the left here comes NE up theide who takes both Ora and Kelo stepan o Nea yet to stand on a Grand Prix Podium he's now up into second place classic move that's a tough one that you've got to be so precise in perfect on the blind entry into cops and he made it look so easy it certainly wasn't class move that by NEPA now who tries to go with halard crucial now you get the drive down the hanger straight you make a mess of maggots and beckets you're compromising all your speed down this hanger straight nefer and Kelo go side by side trying to pick up some slipstream here behind halard running the inside line there on the 80 bikers Alonso he was thought about having a nibble on the inside of NEPA NEPA then drops back from second to fourth with the slipstream of f Kelo now back in second and it's Ora in third OTA looks like he's having a look there at being as we cut to the Drone shot on Joe Kelo stays in third place we've seen it time and time again haven't we when Danny Hoggard gets to the front of races he's got such top end speed on that gas gas KTM machine that even in the slipstream Kelo ala and NEPA could do nothing about it coming to the ball this one already isn't Adrian Fernandez at the back of this freight train to lead group of 11 Fernandez at the back a two .727 you can just see him there on the 31 bike so it's the top 11 who over the line cover by just 1.2 seconds as NEPA dive bombs Kelo going into turn three he's made it work tell you what he's made some classy overtakes already hasn't he in the early part of this briish gr three has Nea the Italian back in second yeah over taking the rider who is taking potentially his job for next season we know that Joe Kelo is going to the MTA team for 2025 we don't know yet who he's replacing but Stephan OA after 106 Grand PRI of trying to finish on a Grand Prix Podium he's not going to let this one go without a fight ala runs fourth then then comes Alonzo and still no progress being made by either either the Liana intact GP machine Suzuki is now the lead among them he's ahead of v he's back in seven Fernandez getting five to here he's the right to watch previous lap fastest Rider on circuit he's just picked off rer as well eases himself inside the top 10 Fernandez so keep an eye on him because he's got the fastest pace yaka threw on V there to into cops Corner what is going on with Colin V in this gr Prix he's back into eighth place as they bump elow on their way into magot corner and TOA says thank you very much if you're going to watch each other I'll have second place have a shoulder barge at Silverstone Joel that was proper aggressive wasn't it by NEPA in third place Twix down the rear tires he was aggressive on the change of Direction there NEPA sweeping through the highspeed maggots and Becket Ora then now in second got great Drive in the Ora coming onto hanger straight and he's going to ease by with the slipstream as well on halard Missile down that back straight there as Kelo uses what a four and five bike slit stream and the Aussie back at the front I thought alono was going to run into the rear tire of alardo there alono somehow came through all of that in third place no this is not the first lap this is lap five of 15 it's the last lap of the race chis sza who's out of this gr PR but so much going on at the front difficult to know where to look amongst our leaning group of 11 r ERS who cross the line to complete lap five of this SC three and they are covered by 1.1 seconds Nea ran the outside of Ora going through Veil what a move that was he's been delivering an overtaking master class in this Grand Prix so far has Nea zorza walks away from the scene of the crime 1.1 seconds the Gap get even closer in this heated battle at the front in silver Zone just 1.1 seconds was covering now your top 11 orola giving some payback to NEPA into turn three we went there that was a proper lunge into the loop wasn't it from Ian Oro looking trength get back to the lead of the race where he of course started this from Kelo then leads us down the Wellington straight from hulo we're watching Alonso the world championship leader up ahead of us from the onboard camera of Ian Ora NEPA and Suzuki right behind us yamanaka Fernandez and batelli now all ahead of VI who plumming down the order continues he's 10 now there's one Rider out of the points on that previous lap who was faster on circuit than the race leader Kelo that was felipo farioli on the 658 Squad record he did a 21. 623 a p which was faster than any of the league groups and Munos did a 2099 right ahead of him David Munos isn't out of this race by the way he's back into the points in 15 he's 4 and a half seconds off the race lead but lapping a second to lap quicker there again they rub shoulders they rub knees this is scary to watch isn't it almost behind the over action Oto 3 once again here it's still hold guard that has the advantage as they sweep through a maggots and beckets we're on lap six of 15 n and a half laps to go here and what has always been a brilliant or as so far being a brilliant Battle of Britain on board we go then now with world champions Le David Lono look at the speed he's trying to just weave his way through pick his way through all of the needle stuff there on the breaks into Stow there is no way through but alono as he so often does you just feel he's just biing his time here playing the patient game how often have we seen him drop the Hammer with four or five lap to go is that the tactic is that the strategy that alono is employing here again today yeah he's never been any lower than where he is at the moment in fifth play so I think Alonso is just acknowledging that there is an awful long way to go in this race yet it's where he is in those final three or four laps and he just wants to put himself in the best possible position look at the back of the picture though for Munos he now leads that second group and he did on that lap at 210 five the leading group settled down somewhat on that most recent lap and we're actually quicker than MOS that time we don't say it very often do we has gone the WR wrong way completely the wrong way in this Grand Prix start is second he's back in Ninth Place Adrian Fernandez and yamanaka toughing it out going through Village and then the loop aggressive battle between those two at the moment there well it's at the moment Fernand has got it back he's up into seventh place or toer then that it is that leads this British Grand Prix on his 20th birthday today Alonso again just letting know that NEPA can't relax at all thought to take the gap between that top 11 line still there 1.2 seconds 1.2 seconds two laps ago 1.1 second on the previous lap and it's now 1.2 once again between our top 11 yeah now that he's got some clear space ahead of him we'll keep an eye on mun's lap times to see if he's getting any closer to this group hgo now takes Kelo into second place he and Nea were having a right old dingdong at the start of this lap hogado won that battle immediately turned his attentions to Kelo and the previous race leader has now been second and NEPA now piles on the agony for Kelo relegates him off the podium NEPA properly chopped kelo's nose off there didn't he going through maggots and Becks the early part of the section that snakes and weaves its way around this wonderful Silverstone circuit back onto the hanger straight hanging all out there at the moment is Ora that does lead it's hogard in second place trying to pick up some slick free moves to the inside line is he moving on the inside of Ali certainly is that that is nefa then alardo is now your leader nefa up in second or TOA relegated back to third yeah V still trying to make progress there up behind his teammate it's a battle between yamanaka and Suzuki that's going on right ahead of him yamanaka on the inside of Suzuki into Veil corner there are seventh and eighth by a ninth batelli 10 rer it's at the back of this group and already has a track limits warning next to his name so he's got two tread carefully in the second half of this SC Prix 1.4 covers your top 11 they're back into the lowish 210 at this stage and with munas now back in the 211s further back it doesn't appear as if the 64 is going to get himself back in touch with this group Here Comes adri Fernandez on the inside that's going to be very very tight thought about a lunge on the inside of alono into three just Alonso able to resist but I've got to say Adrien Fernandez is looking a serious threat in this league group he's been one of the fastest Riders of this Grand prie started from the back of row four in 12th Place doesn't really looked like he's been a Podium Contender any stay so far this weekend but on race day the most important day of all that's when You' got to turn up and he is delivering it's one of the beauties of this circuit How fast and how flowing it is all sorts of different lines are available around here and Anon Fernandez was favoring a very tight line there through lufield to try and stick his nose up the inside of David alono it's the second time at least on this lap that he has tried that but alono keeping himself at least in fifth place for the moment as mentioned hasn't been any lower than that so far in this gr three I think alono is just to the mindset as long as I can see where the race leader is at the moment I'm more than happy scored points in his last eight Adan Fernandez six top 10 in a row as well that's going to be really close or toer having a real joust here with Kelo through maggots and Becket as we go lap eight of 15 it's not been a slow burner but it's certainly coming to the boil isn't it any one of 11 you feel all on course for a potential British Grand Prix success in 2024 halard trying to resist the slipstream and NEPA and Kelo right in his case Kelo sweeps to the inside line and passes NEPA the Australian once again finds himself up into second and VI still boxed in further back he's just there up in ahead of Adrien Fernandez he's up into seventh place now so steady progress being made by the Dutch rder although he's lost that position very quickly back again the py Fernandez up the inside to turn 17 and relegates fire back towards his teammate in eighth place we're coming towards the back end the final third this Grand Prix we heard from David Lono on the grid speaking Simon cayi he said the first 10 laps will be almost a game of chess a game of cat and mouse C though thought about it didn't he thought about punching on the inside of H gardo going through the fast turn two alono though eding towards the part of the race where he's so this league group of algado leads us into Brooklyn you see the varying of lines there as Al TOA favors that tighter inside line NEPA trying to get the run on the way into lufield Corner then it's Alonzo and yamanaka yamanaka does have a little bit of form around this circuit he did qualify on the front row of the grid here a couple of years ago the last time he rode for the empt helmets MSI team around this circuit that's VI still in that personal duel with Adrian Fernandez and been hung out well and truly to dry on the outside of wer just a quick check on the Riders directly behind this league group of 11 points at the moment for Muno in 12th after his early off track Excursion Ricardo Rossi is doing High 210 that's impressive Pace at this stage of Grand Prix he's 13th points as well for estan and cararo this then is your league group of 11 finally starting to move forward on the 99 by is Reda he's been sat at the back of this group for much of this Grand Prix he's picked off Suzuki going through maggots and beckets is this the Raa charge starting he's not necessarily shown potential Podium Pace really at any stage this weekend as rer as they go 67 or press now and now alonso's getting on with this he's up the inside of ala you say aaka is trying to hail Mary around the outside of Stow corner and now goes way out onto the green and alono look like he might be taking second or third place he's going to just about tip in ahead of Joel Kelo and hold on to that third spot it is another Thriller as we hoped it would be in the m 3 world championship Fernandez on the tight line going through the club Corner brilant move that on the inside of NEPA alardo leads or TOA second and for the first time in this British Grand Prix the world championship leader David Lono moves rather menacingly into the podium places does alono feel now is his time the time to really start to make his way to to the front of this race look at this move coming in from yamanaka he couldn't quite do it he was trying to go around the outside of VI through the right handed Village corner to have the inside line into the loop is Colin V just playing a very very patient canny game here he's now up into fifth place anytime we've looked for v he's been towards the back of this leading group but he looks like he's now starting to ghost his way into contention he's got bags of timers or toer fires on the inside of halard into Brooklyn's or toer then the pole starter he makes so picks up the front running once again in this British Grand Prix alardo Alonso Kelo there is V who's starting to make in rows towards the top three as we kind of expected he would do on board then with Alonzo attacking now into towards the blind entry cops Corner he's been picked off by Kelo nice move that by the Australian Joe Kelo Jack Miller was the last photo three grand prix winner from Australia Kelo well he could be ending that decade back run coulding for Aussie fans who I'm sure are glued to their TV screens late into Sunday night down under he's not lacking confidence through these fast Corners is he kso got such a good run through woodcut and then got the run out of cops to the point that he was almost threatening or toas second place there we have seen on a few occasions this season Kelo qualify well and gradually fall back to the tail of a leading group he's not showing any signs of doing that this time well the good thing in this Grand Prix Le is when he has gone backwards he's fought his way back through immediately just as he is doing right now on the inside of alardo on the brakes into Stow Corner that's been one of his favorite overtaking hot spots for the second laugh in succession reai yamanaka goes offroading on the exit of Stow around the outside being hung out to dry a little bit there was Kelo he's going to be careful there he doesn't rub shoulders and fair Rings oh well he did rub shoulders and fairings with Alonzo who showed no mercy there did he the world championship leader it's Al TOA though that leads five laps to go here and this British Grand PRI at Silverstone or TOA fromard alono third Kelo really did come off the worst of that one then he he's now outside the top six yeah he's been passed Now by adreen Fernandez he's just got to settle down and regroup here Kel so as Fernandez blocks the inside line reda's now making passes yamanaka once again going for that rather Brave outside line into Stow didn't work out for him and yamanaka's now back into Ninth Place all of the squabbling up behind the race leader has given our to of 4/10 of a second in that front this is game on now this is when this British Grand Prix is going to come even more alive than what it already has been because this was the phase of the race when David alono says we're going to find out who's kept the best of the try grip for the last third this is the pivotal stage then now that we are entering here at Silverstone as thankfully after all the heavy cloud cover that started today and a few rain spots falling in this part of central England you can see now the Riders attacking through cops in Sun shine Ora hgo Alonso they've been the cream of the crop in so many M three grand pris over the last year or so they are the top three as it stands right now and here is v v honing in on the victory battle as well he is starting to look like some serious threat here in fourth place around the outside he's trying to go now he picks up the inside line through the back end of maget and beckets yeah kin V has decided to come to our 75th anniversary party yeah alardo was slow out of cops lost the place to Alonso and was just offline all the way through maggots beckets and Chapel if you get the first part of that wrong it cost you for the next three corners VI now into second place thr alono loses the place back again to H gardo they need to be careful though they need to keep an eye on the 48 up ahead of them and make sure that EV to doesn't get too far in front we're going to have four laps to go once they complete this sequence of Corners to Veil and Club calling is are coming no doubt about it this has been some charge some last lap and a half by the Netherlands Star right Amazing Star isn't he Colin V lots of talk these motor tub next year a plum ride with the Red Bull KTM iio Squad and he's getting on with this his personal best lap of this British Grand Prix so far at 20998 a the only Rider here in the British Grand Prix late on that's in the 209s statement La that by the husana rider another lunch this time from Alonso on H gardo that is first and third in the world championship you're top four in the world championship I now are top four in this race not in that order of course with second place divon ala in the world championship leading by half a second from fire who now has clear tarmak relatively off ahead of him to try and close that Gap to toer as Alonso and halard continue to squabble behind him that's the biggest lead we've seen in this Grand Prix so far we've had 12 and a half laps of incredible action or TOA just trying to stretch the field that was a lovely move in the Brooklyn wasn't it by jardo seizing that inside line from alono alono could do nothing about it there's no room for him to turn in and carry his line through through into cops we go then turn nine so important to get the drive payback instantly comes from Alonso through cops he goes on halard you got to make sure you get the exit speed here now so you don't compromise all the drive on that long slingshot of acceleration through to maggots and Becket it's this spectacular section where the league group snake and weave their way through now look how much VI is closing in on AA through maget beckerson Chapel he's pretty much eated up that entire distance between him which was 4/10 of a second cut it in half through magnet Becket and chapel and he's right back on the tail of the race leader again so impressed with Ian orola that the drive that he gets off some of these fast Corner he's one of the tallest and heaviest Riders In Moto 3 there's nothing he can do about this though what a two and a half lap Onslaught this has been from VI he was at the back of this league group for so much dropped from second to Ninth Place but he hits the front here in Silverstone for the first time looking to immediately bounce back from the disappointment of crashing out the lead early on in the saur ring via leads Alonzo up into second that was a tough lap 12 for orola at one stage led by nearly 610 of a second over line he's back in third yeah here ala starting to run into some late Tire troubles with three laps to go he did a 2108 on that last lap of course not H by being overtaken by both V and alono but he was the slowest Rider in this entire leading group of 11 last time around I thought alono was going for it there on the inside of by going in three just thought better of it they coner up then once again then now as they'll attack out of anry that's your live championship at the moment if it stays as is then trust us it won't that Lono will move on to 199 points which are moving 59 clear of VI and here comes Alonso this has been coming this he's what he's been threatening David alono with two and 1 half laps to go here in this British Grand Prix decides to hit the front for the first time usually when he hits the front in M of three races well you know the story it's happened 10 times in the last 12 months David alono leads from Colin V Hoggard has added on more Agony for Ora and NEPA is going to do the same here now as Hoggard takes second place from fire to bravely hanging out around the outside of Neer and he just hangs on to Fourth just look all ready sort of half a dozen bike lens Alonso put into the chasing pack as they sweep through maggots and beckets Davido oh he had a big twitch there there was a real twitch he's just trying isn't he to make this key L attack pay he came from 28th last year to win his first Grand Prix in memorable fashion here at Silverstone he's on course for back-to-back wins here on British soil or TOA picks up some awesome slipstream look at that V toally certainly going to get H gardo not quite close enough to pounce on Alonso but perfect illustration there of how much the slipstream Works down the hanger straight yeah whatever potential Tire issues he might have a slipstream will certainly overcome that as alardo is just forcing it to fit here on the inside but he can't do it because there's a rander coming next when ala keeps him at Bay and opens the door for Byer up into third place if you don't make a move stick in this Silverstone ble there are about eight or nine Riders waiting to punish you yeah no love lost there between Al to halard as they leaned on each other going into the club corner or TOA came out by far the better of it alono then it is head down full throttle late track warning for Jacob Rolston of course after his Long Lap penalty he's out of the points at the moment or TOA there in second place has he got anything left in the tank to attack Alonzo kelo's not quite out of this one just yet by the way he's now back up into sixth place he actually started the lap in fifth but has been overtaken by NEPA they're the pair immediately behind the top four in the race and in the world championship and it's the top two first and second in the race you are first and second in the world championship if Alor is going to make any kind of den in alonso's Championship lead in the second half of the Season he really needs to start now 20 today he's here in orola is his party his birthday celebration about to be gate crashed by lonso Lono trying to be the ultimate party pooper here isn't he trying to extend his mother three World Champ lead Here Comes OTA have the inside line briefly going into turn nine that's the cops corner now it's all about the momentum the drive as you attack towards magots and Becket I don't think Al is going to be close enough EAS he to get through on alono now alono very good defensively on the early part of this snaking section NEPA threw on fire there into maggot so NEPA is back into the podium positions alono last year started the final app in third but we saw Rus saki go from fifth at the start of the final LP to lead it onto hanger straight on the final lap anyone in the first half of this leading group still has very much a shot all the way down to yamanaka of still winning this race what about ne's never been on the podium Grand Prix start number 107 can he take it from the top step VI with the slipstream on the Husky finds himself back at the front there three four a brass they power down towards Vil edge of the seat stuff this isn't it here in the British Grand Prix V surely will lead them onto the last lap oh there's another big moment there for Alonso going attacking trying to keep the speed the rolling speed through Club Corner how costly could that prove to be viable lead as we start the last lap 5.9 K to go with lono's late mistake there on that pul lap sees him slip back to fourth so even by his powers of recovery I'd be super impressed if David Alonso can win this from there Vet has a third of a second over holgado he needs to close that in before they reach hang a straight on this final lap or TOA then Alonso as NEPA now holds fth Kelo six yamanaka now back into seventh place is unable to make his way through this group so Colin V then has decided to go for it on the 95 B then he Powers down the Wellington strike trying to put the boot in now on the chasing competition in mot 3 alono with a lunge on the inside of both halard and Ora he always finds some late magic he always produces the late fireworks doesn't he here David Lono he's going for another A Late Late Late Show how does he do it NEPA out of the seat there on the way out of lufield corner as he now tries to sweep back across in front of yamanaka so that might be the end of his hopes of a maiden Grand Prix Podium but just once again we're seeing proof of this right DAV alono off at your peril halfway round this final lap here in this classic thrilling British Grand Prix in Moto 3 it has once again delivered spectacular action surely now it's coming down to VI Ora and alono what a move that is by Ora going through on VI on the run the fast R into magnet and beckus there was a nudge there contact wasn't there between alono and VI tough to call this one as they sweep onto the hanger straight they're hanging it all on the line here for the British Grand Prix Victory it's in the hands of otola alono goes for the SLP stream you feel alono is in the perfect position here or toa's weaving on the hanger straight he might be in trouble for that he's trying to keep alono a bay he's just about trying to turn in and V's now going to go through alono and Ora via sandwich we coming to this final sector Evan Ora yeah the steers might look at that weaving sideways alono goes into or toa's gone really really wide it's going to be a shootout to the Finish Line what a way to kick off our 75th Anniversary celebrations it's been a Barnstormer here in Great Britain and Ian Ora on his 20th birthday what a happy birthday it has been as Evan Ora wins an unbelievable British Grand Prix in Moto three the Spaniard from Pole Position takes the Checker Flag by just over a tenth of a second David Alonso so so close to back-to-back British Grand Prix victories he takes the checker flag in second place Way by looking by a GP fan Luca Curry what a moment for that young man Colin V there was some proper bumping and barging on that last L was there V takes the checker flag in third halard is fourth NEPA fifth yamanaka another top six for the Japanese Rider Kelo seventh Fernandez eighth rad and Suzuki inside the top 10 matelli was 11th 1.6 seconds covering the top 11 points for Munos EST van Rossi and cararo and I'm off now for a lie down I think Ian ala might just be okay with that they do not like the FM M GP shers do not like weaving like that on the final lap or any lap of moto 3 race but he had to do what he could to try and break the slipstream and then he nearly blew it having held the lead with that physical elbow to Elbow tussle with Alonso into Stow corner he almost lost it all into Veil on the final out when he outbreaks himself fortunately Alonso is going full Speedway behind him to try and take second place and it let all toer off the hook well we've had well this is our 75th anniversary of Grand Prix motorcycle racing and since it was first introduced 12 years ago back in 2012 some of the best Grand PR we've ever seen in those S and a half decades have been delivered in Moto 3 that was another one right up there with the very best just as we like to see it decided on the final lap decided at the final Corner brilliant Victory by Ian Ora the pace on the last lap by Some of That League group was astonishing Ora and Alonzo both did 2 105s fair play to rousa G AAR in six as well he also found a 21.5 not even half a second away from the win but not on the podium was the Japanese Rider up next of course in a slightly revised race schedule is the Premier class action special retro liveries will light up Silverstone very very shortly but you can hear the reception you can hear the round of applause uh that the stars of today and tomorrow in Moto 3 what a show that was that they put on Ian Ora then taking the victory on his 20th birthday as well this was all the Late Late drama V it was that was leading wasn't it and look at this move into cops we go on that final lap beautifully done that by orola that might be the moment that alono lives to regret look at that shoulder barge alono coming through and Alo I oh sorry alono might have found himself in the perfect position here was they come on to hang a straight this is in the very last Corner we've missed the moment into Stow where they go side by side but it was super super close 1.6 seconds covered the top 11 over the line and in the end it was the Battle of the bravest at the end of The Hanger straight and ala won that battle well that's the way to celebrate of birthday isn't it from the top step of the podium and I'm sure he'll be enjoying plenty more of that race winning prco so near yet so far yeah m is the message to Danny halard from the red bu gas gas Tech three team well done good job so so close just over a tenth of a second away from a much needed return in terms of Championship to the podium well not the jubilant and ecstatic scenes of the park F of silver one year ago for David alono but in the bigger picture of the world championship very important 20 points isn't it for the Colombian Colin V back on the podium he looks rather frustrated as well in fact yeah somebody's getting a a rather angry glare Joel Kelo on the front row of the grid of course he got the whole shot LED for the first couple laps he did return to the front of that race for a brief period he was right in the thick of that intense battle for the podium throughout Kelo crossed the line in seventh place just a whisker over half a second away from the race win so excellent job that by the 21y old from Darwin so for David alono he yet another Podium position it's his first Podium this year that hasn't been a win seventh Podium of the season and well he's limited the damage you could certainly say that to Ian ARA who does take a much needed victory for his title hopes but Alonso ensures that he only loses the Five Points his lead down to 53 first time on the podium without a win he's overrated that lot yeah he'll be uh he'll be hurting of course he's only here for the win and he's done so much winning so far in 2024 but when you come out of a a battle that intense that rages for over half an hour to be on the podium missing out by just a 10 I think when all said and done he will will reflect later on this evening and prior to our next stop over in Austria on a job well done evanor TOA what are we kend has been here at the British Grand Prix then for the Spanish Rider Mt helmets MSI KTM star po position on Saturday ahead of his 20th birthday and uh he's got an energy left to blow the candles off his cake after that one well congratulations on the double celebration for even Oru look at him in par fomo there looks like he's barely broken sweat look like he's been his dog on a Sunday morning stroll doesn't the English Countryside we're about to hear very very shortly from Colin V third place then for the Netherlands Rider he's down in par f with Simon Colin it looked early on that you were in trouble then it looked like you played it perfectly that was a difficult one to win what do you think of it um no I think I buil up the race uh it really wasn't in difficulty I just tried to like stay behind and let's see like see what what what the other people are doing uh because this track is like crazy with the overtaking and the slipstream so I just stay calm and just like wait My Moment uh and then I saw six laps to go I thought oh now I have to like start my my rhythm again uh and the feeling was getting back again so I tried my best to get to the front again and at one point I was leading again but um yeah also onto the last lap I just thought uh I can just lead for me doesn't matter I I see what happened and yeah okay then even passed me into mag and bagets and also Alonzo came with a quite late move in my opinion but yeah it's it's racing finally um but yeah I think overall we build up the race wide well and for sure this gives us uh motivation for Austria great ride again congratulations yeah another great ride here here Simon for Colin V the 19y old at his seventh career Podium fifth of the Season not bad a 50% Podium record in the opening 10 rounds of 2024 that's why there's so much noise about the future of the Dutch teenager good job good job cuz weekend didn't start off in the best possible fashion after a crash at turn six in our opening practice session of this Milestone weekend it's been a case of nearly but not quite in recent times isn't it for Colin V missed that home win in such agonizing circumstances ad Asen of course was a very close second into alono back at Mello too still hasn't taken a win since that Supreme performance back at the Spanish gr Prix but he keeps putting himself in that position as does David Alonso it's not the win but it is yet another Podium great news for his world championship he's with Simon David you told us before the race that it was five laps to go that you would really get pushing you sure did slipstream really difficult here tell us what you think yeah it was at the beginning like a very C race and then at the end where more or less five LA to go we start to make our our movements H we start to fight each other and push a little bit more H I was I was good behind and then on the fight last to go yeah we had a lot of battles but on a let's say on a on a safe way uh and and well the last SC the last lap weting witha H this time it couldn't be possible H we learn from this H sometimes we win sometime not but yes I I think I don't choose the the right option on the on the last trade so so yes I keep on mind for for the next one but well not not about a second place but we have this on M for next one great job congratulations thank yeah some you win some you lose David Lono has done his first year of winning so far in 2024 an important 20 points the champ look at that sideways Speedway style back attacking the CF Moto machine into Veil what a shot that is from David alono he said the first few laps for calm David you never hear in the same sentence the words calm and Moto 3 certainly didn't look like it from the comy box as very very shortly then we're going to hear he been ushered over to us now it has been a wonderful British Grand Prix Weekend Paul position and on his 20th birthday no better way to celebrate than winning the British Grand prie congratulations to the birthday boy even Oro who's with Simon Ian your speed was awesome your racecraft to be in the right position at the right time was awesome and your bravery to pass Colin where you did was awesome as well tell us what you think yeah I didn't expect that because when I arrived back to the backer straight first I I was waiting the overtake of the rider because of the live stream but yeah anyway I did uh last sector really good ER and yeah happy for this Victory thanks for the team because they did an incredible job uh come on let's go congratulations thank you yeah let's go that was the message inside his helmet towards the back end of that brilliant British Grand Prix that is the Sweet Taste of success at Silverstone yeah and uh congratulations from all of us in the M GP Paddock happy birthday to papino what a way what a brilliant performance That Was Then by otola that is win number four of his Grand PR career nearly in double figures now in terms of Podium finishers all kinds of celebrations today for Ora birthday boy 50th Grand Pre start and he gets the birthday cake right in the mush as his customary I don't think he will care one jot about that though it would take quite a lot to wipe the smile of people ala's face although what he's wiping off his face at the moment is birthday cake yeah the victory the icing on the birthday cake then for Ian Ora just ensuring that David Lono is not completely running away with this year's Moto 3 Battle as we head to round 11 in the spectacular stur mountains the Spielberg circuit in Austria in two weeks time the gap between Alonso and Ora will be 53 points as the British fans await the spectacular sight what a show coming up your way next on race day here at Silverstone as the 11 teams and 22 mot two Riders will race in retro liveries in honor of our 75th Anniversary celebrations and what a way to kick off this great occasion with what we hoped would be and what certainly was was yet another classic Moto 3 encounter a breathless British gr Prix could have gone any one of four or five ways that one and in the end it goes the way of Mt helmets MSI third see a bit of a retro touch with the podium finishers and dignitaries Colin V not best pleased as you heard there by the move from David alono but it is racing as he accepted himself it was arguably on the limit but David Alonzo was in no mood to hang around on that final lap anded as he said himself chose the wrong line down hanger straight on the final lap as the weaving of Ian Al solo up ahead of him forced him to go left Ian Al solo went right and hung on to the race lead of course very good friends with another British Motorsport hero in Norris of course they're from the same management stable or Lando will be proud of his friend Evan for what he's achieved here today the Constructor prize of course winning Constructor today KTM winning team Mt helmet MSI blazing a trail Moto 2 of course at the moment in addition to EV ala's Moto 3 exploits Podium finish number seven for Colin V it's fifth of the Season he's third in the last four races now Colin F now two points behind Danny Hoggard for third in the world championship the overall leader is David Alonso it's a step lower than he was here last year shows the standards that he set when it feels like something of a shock when David alono isn't standing on the very top step of the podium that is now his 15th Podium finish in 32 Grand Prix starts but the golden trophy and the honor on this 75th anniversary celebration of the British Grand Pre winner in Moto 3 from pole goes to Evan ala of [Music] for [Music] congratulations then to Evan or and to Mt helmet MSI as they empty helmets MSI with TR in around about fourth or fifth place at this early stage Colin V was also staying patient and waiting for his moment to strike with about three or four laps to go we did see fire hit the front for the first time as he look to turn the tables on what happened to him the hands of Ivan ala back at Asen and alono in the lead with a handful of lats to go three might well have feared the worst generally when on Alonso it's the front he stays there but he would all come down to a final battle on the braks into sto corner it was one Bal toer with d alono hanging on to Second Frankie melli slammed into the back of fellow Italian Marco betki got even worse for another vr46 Academy Star as peka Baya crashed out of four Place although this move though from his Factory to Cathy teammate Ana abas Nini ensures it's bangaya going into this historic 20 La British Grand Prix that still leads the world championship Mark Marquez was a late for that had a second place but it was Beauty from the beast in Britain as Italian Ana basini celebrated his first TSO Sprint success second place for jge Martin saw the Spaniard close within one point of series leader PCO Baya now four dnfs in the last seven Sprints for the reigning world champion as he looks to continue his golden run his Sensational burst of form four successive victories for bangaya in [Music] Catal they're diving in and Diving out it's mrf Grace all through enjoy the grace experience brace it out on mrf steel brace radio Doan rainy hailwood juk certies neetto as you mentioned proper proper Legends in the history of the M GP world champion a beautiful shot that was there the AGS 500cc machine that carried Leslie Graham to our first premier class World title all the way back in 1949 what a journey what an adventure has been since the world championship start started in the late 1940s and as we fast forward 7 and 1 half decades to the modern day we are looking for the current generational talents to put on some show here at Silverstone yesterday in the 10 lap TSO Sprint as we mentioned it was Bas that took the checker flag first of course we should remind you one of the key features one of the spectacular SES coming your way shortly over 20 laps here at Silverstone will be a battle in Retro liveries 11 teams 22 Riders will all race in special uh unique one-off liveries uh to honor our proud history and trust us as you're about to see on screen very very shortly there are some absolutely beautiful liveries that have graced our sport uh down the years it's Matt BT and l ly in the comy Box as always with Simon cayar down in pit Lane if you're wondering why M GP is second on our schedule of course we're just accommodating a European TV schedules that's why at 1: p.m. local time here in the UK 2 p.m. local time on the European Mainland it will be lights out for the MoDOT GP race don't worry if mot 2 fans you haven't missed anything your 17 lap battle will be coming up in just over a couple of hours time but now though we are focusing on full Gaze on what we hope will be a brilliant Battle of Britain in motor GP one point splitting World Championship leader PCO Baya and jge Martin as we're going to get a glimpse inside the factory daati garage their celebrating Del we're just going to get a replay first from yesterday it was jge Martin leading early peka Baya 3 km faster he said on the Daya showed on the slightly tighter inside line going into turn four when he was in P4 from second on the grid and unfortunately leis this was his fourth dnf in the last seven Sprints his fifth of the season so perhaps somewhat fortuitous that his teammate and air FAS needed him a big favor that he still leads the World Championship today yeah he's made it too much of a habit really in 2024 so far as the reigning world champion taking full responsibility for his error and as you say he's got his teammate and a BAS need to thank for keeping the world championship lead one point is PCO B's Advantage into the 20 lap battle coming up this afternoon and Ana bash's win also saw him take third place in the world championship after this Crash from AR Marquez with a couple of laps of the Sprint remaining yeah down hard on the front break Trail breaking into turn 16 this is where Mar was in a a very lonely and secure fourth place he wasn't going to have anything for the top three ahead of him look at that that's the an obvious frustration and anger on the face of the number 93 he had his worst Friday of the Season he said here in practice on the opening day of this British Grand Prix some turnaround running in the top four but he he did play some that risky Mitchell in hard front tie choice we welcome fans young and old as always don't be shy yeah give us a wave and a big smile thank you very much that young lady there clear where her Allegiance lies with the 993 on the mask yeah Mark Marquez hasn't had a good weekend to put it mildly felt that he had next to no chance of a Podium finish on Friday he boosted his chances with qualifying on the third row and he wasn't too far ahead of chaos at the very first Corner you're watching the second of the prac jaati Frankie Morelli who comes from way way back no prayer of getting that jaati stopped and piled into the back of Marco beeki betki with some pain in his foot at the end of that but fortunately nothing broken and he is fit to take part in today's 20 lap British Grand Pre M Deli to fit to start but as you can see he will serve a double Long Lap penalty when the race gets underway he pleaded not guilty or honor to the FI M GP stewards saying that he was caught out by m falz breaking harder ahead of him but when all sudden done no excuses a double Long Lap penalty then coming the way for Frankie Mor Deli once I think the stewards realized that there was no mechanical issue that contributed to the mistake going into AB it was rather inevitable the outcome that he was going to get sanctioned so then here is Pekka Baya in the special daati celebratory Leathers to the katti lovo team here today at Silverstone both Bay and Bash they will sport a rather familiar look for some of our early fourstroke here M GP fans here today their Livery inspired by the very first ever daati Desma adichi what we've now got the GP 24 incumbent well they live delivery a nod to the very first M the GP Contender the gp3 erased all the way back in 2003 by Lis karosi and Troy bis Mark Marquez wearing a graini set of leathers and about to board a grini jaati which looks rather familiar we have seen this color scheme before but I don't think anyone's too disappointed to see it again cuz it is a beautiful beautiful color scheme we've seen it at misano in recent years it's a not of course to the founder of the grini team the late F grini the IL TriCore design Which F grini made an iconic color scheme as he took it to 125 CC World titles in 1985 and 1987 Mark and Alex Marquez will sport his colors this afternoon yeah just an advanced public warning to all the fans tuning in at home I'm sure there are loads and loads of you of course these special liveries look fantastic we love them but it is a slight change on what we're accustomed to seeing here in the com box we've done our research we've been glued to the screens so we'll do our best certainly in the first two or three laps to try and make sure our identification is bang on the money I tell you what this is my personal favorite nod to the absolutely drop dead gorgeous racy black Livery of the old the prer RSV 250 which was raced when Max Biagi was dominating 250s in the mid90s he won the title in 1994 1995 and 1996 six and that factory of ply Livery about to be raced by La SPO and Maverick Fales is an absolute stunner it's beautiful Al Spyro well he said yesterday he produced probably the lap of his life certainly right up there with the very very best as he found that incredible all time that record to take Paul position finished third behind the Beast and jge Mar team in yesterday's 10 lap T so spre looking of course for back-to-back British Grand Prix wins here this afternoon the factory Yamahas have to say look absolutely stunning as well right on Q we can see the Livery that Fabio quatar and Remy Garner will be running here this weekend one of the most iconic looks in the history of the sport yamaha's red and white first made his debut back in 1964 synonymous of course with Grand Prix idos and legends through the 70s like Yano sain and 15-time World Champion jakamo AGI it looks great let's home in perform great as well in this British Grand Prix I'm like to say joining Simon down in pit Lane is Monster Energy amaha BOS Mayo Mery good afternoon gentlemen yeah good afternoon um about the liveries you know from the past I think it really depends on what you grew up watching you know and it's why I've heard a lot of people uh including you Matt speak about the pilia being in love with it but I grew up watching um the yaha and Hondas and Suzukis which are no longer here so to see theivery on the amaha and the Honda just makes me smile truly incredible the mechanics got old school looking uh overalls as well and Mayo the reason I've come down to see you it's always good to to give the listeners an update or give us all an update on the how the March forward back to the front is going for Yamaha yeah he's a he's a longer process uh actually I I really had in my mind a different weekend here in Silverstone but we we Face some difficulties that um I I really didn't aspect uh before coming here anyways A F Track uh we improveed the top speed of the bike and uh I was quite uh okay not super sure but anyway I had some expectation unfortunately we suffer a lot the lack of grip and when it's like that for us everything became more complicated and unfortunately we face this as a main problem then the second big problem has been that Alex couldn't ride the bike uh so having one Rider less it's another problem because uh you have less data to compare and uh yeah that's it this weekend is not uh going to be a great one but we are really working hard and uh about the uh the development you you mention um it's playing a really important today test in misano after Austria GP where the concession are giving us this opportunity this extra job but we are happy to do that because um we have uh items new items to to test and uh if the test uh I mean the result will be positive we are already going to bring some of them for misano GP so this is an extra motivation but uh yeah we know that um it's uh it's hard uh it's a really long uh um uh work uh but the we started and we we won't give up until we will be there Mayo it looks from the outside that you really have uh you know change things because the amount of parts coming I mean I understand you have a different uh engine spec here you had a different engine spec not long ago there's another one on the way uh looks like you're pushing or Yamaha are pushing really hard in all areas yeah the approach uh really changed in the last couple of years and I never saw such an effort uh as we we are putting now uh as you know we hire new Engineers but overall the approach really change uh there is a really strong interaction between the B the Italian Workshop based and YNC in Japan and um yeah this is U an additional value in the past this uh interaction was not that strong uh but things are really changing and uh we are bringing more people uh more engineer we need also to them to to touch uh the field and uh in the past never happened so we are seeing uh also some some results that sometimes are not visible maybe from the TV but uh here we starting seeing uh some of them and also this give you additional motivation uh but yeah having said that uh this uh uh for for is process process is is long and uh we we we had in our mind that uh it was going to be one and a half year before we could uh be where we would like to be and we are just the beginning so you mentioned earlier in the weekend that Alex RNs that it would be ideal to have him back for those maano tests earlier if possible but the maano test critical um you know to get direction I'm just really curious Before I Let You Go um couple of words on Remy's work you know been drafted in Remy Gardner from World toit bike side he does have experience in Mitchell and tires from past years um but how's his work going very good uh actually we were a surprise in sing when we decided the last minute Alex replacement after ring crash and the the feelings the way he has to work is very calm uh very clear feedbacks and that's why why he he is here we playing this this Silverstone white card with K unfortunately car was not fit to to join this wild card and uh rather than cancel the withdraw the the application we ask Remy if he wanted to to come because uh he's working well also since Alex uh withraw of this uh GP we move him in our garage but with this uh bikes and because uh he's he's working and uh he's trying certain Mark Marquez burst onto the scene on the other side of the Honda story LCR we saw with two different color schemes as always one for johnan zaro one for Tak nakagami johnan zaro sporting a modern Twist on the Honda liery ran in 1966 by Mike the bike hailwood on his way to the 250cc World Championship tagami in contrast running a liery which as you can probably see when you spot it takes inspiration from the team's Japanese background and of course their title sponsors in a midu of course we as this great Championship have 75 years uh to celebrate trackout racing a little bit less time to work out their special one-off liie they have done an outstanding job of course a newest arrival onto the M GP Grid in this 75th Anniversary season they have decided to pay tribute they've taken their inspiration from their American Roots based it around a whole crop of American Motor GP Legends of course there was a period of time where motor GP was just dominated uh by American Superstars you'll see on the track ass racing fairings the faces of some icons some legends from 1993 World Champ Kevin schwanz Kenny Roberts Wayne Rainey and Freddy Spencer Eddie Lawson just to name but a few speaking of faces allr team we saw with many of his own face on his bucket hat that he was wearing before climbing aboard his retro themed pre Prat jaati inspiration for that you have to go back to 1983 and anel nto 125cc World Championship winning design and Hell of course the uncle of fonto the team's sporting director so Martin sporting Helo tribute helmet with both he and Fry melli honoring the legendary Spaniard the 12 plus one times world champion with his liery today now this is my speed around the Silverstone circuit that the M GP rides the best of the best the elite of the elite in M GP if you're wondering why the likes of pek bangaya oh all the M GP Riders a basically walking speed down into maggots and beckets well at 5.9 km 3.66 miles this Silverstone venue is certainly fuel 30 we saw a couple of right well Hoy Martin and an basini on the podium yesterday in the Sprint I have fuel consumption concerns it was all down to the fact there was there was no error no misjudgment they just weren't anticipating just how red hot the pace was particularly in the first half of that TSO Sprint yesterday PCO manaya's fastest lap in the Sprint would have actually qualified him ninth on the grid I think it was on lap two that hay Martin was in second place he had to go into a fuel saving uh mapping so of course there the teams would have punched the numbers crunched the numbers and they have asked their Riders to come to the Grid at the slowest possible speed to save as much fuel as they possibly can well the datis look great their tribute Livery from 2003 and they have performed phenomenally well haven't they over the last two or three years or so the current reference brand in the modern M GP era big favorites again potentially to continue this unbelievable R they could lock out the podium for the seventh successive Grand Prix in a row here today let's get some thoughts from the boss d t yeah he's just finishing a conversation with the Aussie Legend Wayne Gardner um I'm curious did you ever race did you ever race Wayne no no no uh but it it was one of my favorite guy uh because uh he was so aggressive I love his writing style and uh uh I love Wayne Uh how how he year old and uh he won he was World title you know he had the world title so he's a nice person so Dava I have to ask you about today's long race first of all there was some fuel consumption issues yesterday I'd like to hear a bit about that but Ana so on form but so is PCO and he always learns from uh mistakes learns overnight gets faster so tell us about your hopes for both your Riders yeah first of all it's true that uh this is uh one of uh the most demanding uh RAC track on fuel so I think that everybody will need to have a a lower consumption map that means that you will lose a bit of power but uh you know I don't know the others for us it will be not a big issue uh but anyway like like it was yesterday but anyway I think that the most important uh thing is how to man the front tire today I don't know if somebody will take the risk with this temperature to have the hard front tire while I don't think we will take it but uh anyway I think that this could be one of the main issue of the race David thank you for your time thank you well we can answer that question just posed there by deatti bav to. c will anybody take the risk on the mitchellan hard front I will Lou I guess this is no surprise but the four Ailers in fact they are the only four bikes at the moment planning on starting this 20 lap British Grand Prix with the hard front TI that's to latest barro from pole Maverick viales Miguel Ola and the newly signed up for two years at track house racing R Fernandez yeah they're able to put the load through the front tire to generate the tire temperature quickly which is what you need to do to make that hard front tire work alaus Bargo said yesterday he was already on the limit with the hard front tire and he was in no doubt there was no option for him to go for anything else other than that hard front TI but outside of the quartet of ail as everyone else is going medium medium well on the the wonderful the very instantly recognizable motor GP Tower of Champions we saw the very first plaque Leslie Graham world champion in our first season back in 1949 and in the middle of your picture there coming to the grid is our current superstar in the M GP world championship of course well silverston world famous for Motors Sport All Around the World on two and four wheels I'm delighted to say joining Simon on the grid they're base just down the road here in the Formula 1 belt of England it's McLaren Formula 1 boss Zack Brown it is it is Zack your sport you come from like you're obviously an expert in Formula 1 and your sport leads the way leads the world in many different areas including technology which I'm really interested in um our sport I think it's pretty hard to beat the these the Riders bravery the gladiatorial way you know and it's spectacular but who cares what I think I'd love to hear what you think of our sport I think it's amazing uh these Riders talk about bravery I was up in the morning warm up watching them dropping their feet off leaning over the bikes are amazing the technology of the bikes uh all the Formula 1 drivers and everyone in Formula 1 watches Moto GP we think it's some of the best racing in the in the world so that's what uh we always here is like that's the best racing in the world so I'm excited it's my first Moto GP since uh 2015 I was out in moano a guest the monster who has a a huge presence here a sponsor of ours as well at McLaren so I'm excited to see this race just curious um you mentioned the technology here uh I was surprised because you lead the way you know with technology what what sort of tech um things that are you impressed with on our side oh the power to weight ratio is stunning on these on these bikes I was looking earlier at what the drivers the Riders can do I guess the Riders not drivers right um during the race and then it was interesting some differences there's no radio communication sounds like that's up for discussion um sounds like turbulence air turbulence isn't too bad but Tire management is at certain tracks so I'm still trying to kind of learn to see exactly how the race plays out but it seems like it's flat out and from a few of the Riders I spoke with they love the track Zack thank you very much for your time hope you enjoy the race coming up no doubt about it I'm sure no doubt he will enjoy the spectacle that is coming his way yes we're by of course in the commentary box we know that this is the greatest Motorsports Show on Earth McLaren are enjoying a bit of resurgence this year aren't they in Formula 1 race win so far for Lando Norris and Oscar pastra great to see Zack Brown enjoying his first taste of live M GP action on site since 2015 there's Luca Marini and Jan M big fans of the official HRC one-off Livery here this weekend as well leis yes certainly it's a classic classic color scheme as we are immediately switch to another Japanese manufacturers color scheme this is of course the fat Yamaha Remy Gardner starting from the back of the GD repel Hond honoring Freddy Spencer's 1983 500cc World Championship winning color scheme back on the ns500 one at the tender age of 21 one of the many American heroes of course that track house are honoring with their specially special Livery this weekend track house running a livery which sports the faces of every American Premier class winner well gazini racing they always find a way to deliver a very special Livery when the the time is right of course the great F gini the driving force for so many years behind gini racing Mark Marquez and Alex Marquez using the delivery that he won F on his way to 1985 and 19875 CC world championships that's back in the hands now of Mark and Alex Marquez let's get some pre British Grand Prix thoughts from Michel missini yeah Michel just before I ask you about um chances in the race I'd love to hear you say uh about the beautiful looking I'm looking at it now this replica from F grini yeah I hope that this dely could give us a boost today a special boost but um uh I I think that the potential today is the top five will be will be great because we think that there is three four riders that had a more Pace than than us but we will see you know if we can make a great start making some overtake immediately we can manage well the race every weekend it looks uh or recently it looks like Mark has a tough day on Friday you know not knowing the ducatti taking it to the Circuit for the first time at each track but he continues to March forward in the weekend you know every day and you think he'll be stronger than yesterday yeah this is for sure and uh we don't have to forget that uh in every circuit we arrive is the first time also with du with ducatti is not an excuse but we have to make at the end more work compared the other Rider and uh for sure the important is that uh we keep growing day by day and uh we see our potential and for sure this is one of the tough weekend since the beginning of the year but we will try everything thank you Mel thank you yeah right Mark Marquez off off at your peril of course he will go from Seventh Place on the grid today marks 1,5 days since his last success at the edate Romania round back in 2021 we just saw there we're hearing from M minini so many elements to our 75th Anniversary celebrations one of them which has been open all weekend to the uh the British fans has been a special exhibition of some of the iconic motorcycles in the history of Grand Prix motorcycle racing now then a PR T to love life don't they on British soil race winners here one year ago with the latest B poll position yesterday let's get some thoughts from the boss masimo rivola who joins s yes masimo first of all your your replica you know your design on the bikes today looks absolutely fantastic I know it's a lot of people's favorites including Matt Bert who's in the box right now tell us pagio group ailia must be proud uh of your March forward and especially since you've joined no um I think that uh looking at the watching this bike now and remember you know the history of of ailia and there are not so many manufacturer that can show that kind of history and uh it's quite a quite a responsibility but uh quite a good uh feeling you know also for Al having today being on pole with his uh third all time recording number of races uh uh it's it's all good unfortunately the weather is a bit Silverstone typical weather um the front tire choice is going to be very tricky but uh we know that uh love the hard and he will raise the hard so maybe will be the only one of the grid and uh maybe you know it's it means that you need to put to the Limit every single lap and um we'll see it's a bit of a risk but uh we want to take it so it sounds like uh weather is not playing into your hands you'd rather it hotter and safer for a lace with that hard front yeah yeah yeah absolutely uh half an hour ago we saw some sun but uh now it's gone so uh anyway Alish is convinced the team is with him so no no no regret and we we just push mimo thank you for your time good luck thank you thanks to Mimo Riva there from the factory a team yes of course a special day for Al SP on the pitball a jet that is from the ailia crew appearance number 329 for the 35y old Spaniard then and that means at the end of this British Grand Prix only two other riders in history would have made more appearances at World Championship level than alayia Sparro none other than the Two Italians Valentina Rossi and Andre deito so yeah you could sort of hear the sort of slight nerves the slight concern in masimo rola's voice there about this hard front tire as the temperature has just cooled off as the cloud cover has closed back in on Silverstone he said there's no question about it a latest Faro is convinced that's the right choice but he was sort of unsure about whether mavi finalas and the two other ref for Olivera and Ral Hernandez and maybe decided in the cool conditions is it too cool for the hard maybe those other three have dropped back down to the medium front tire the traditional pre-race so many then about to get underway here at Silverstone the grand stands have been filling up throughout the day as we get ready for the 20 lap British Grand Prix we'll take a pause there now in the commentary box for the national anthem save our gracious King long live our no King God Save the King send him [Music] Victorious happy and glorious long to rain over us God save the king Madison a there then with a lovely rendition of the British Nel Anthem God Save the King who will be the king of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in just about 10 minutes time it will be lights out is the grid then we'll start to clear very very shortly perfect timing to look at jge Martin in the Beautiful Angel nto Livery for the world championship second place Rider at the moment let's get some preas thoughts from ha Martin G saw his assignment yeah and we've got your Rider right on screen there Gino putting his Premier primat cap on I really would like your thoughts going into this one yeah I'm happy about yesterday of course was a tough race special at the end because uh Baston was so fast and and with the side re tire at the beginning because his speed was too much honestly speaking and we understand that yesterday have to check the data and we know and now we have a different strategy for today let's see if it working but also we know that uh PCO will be back and bastianini is so strong we saw the warm up today so let's see what's going on and the important thing is to try to to make a good race and if it's possible get the podium uh otherwise uh just finish the race and no lose point with the with the with a top Rider can can you quickly touch on for us fuel consumption uh concerns and tire you know durability but also choice well honestly speaking we are not really 100% sure about the fr the front tire no uh Choice the fronti choice of course harder one was better for us normally for when put the medium on front is not let's say comfortable is riding style is better when when we have the high Tire in front but do it to the temperature we are unable to put it so let's see you have to control uh the the race and try to get the best feeling as possible with the front tire thank you thank you yeah thanks Simon thanks to Gino B of course Premier P racing would love ha Martin to finish first but it sounds like the message loud and clear just make sure you finish after his wo two laps from the end of that German Grand Prix when he thought he was going into the prummer break with a 20o world championship lead at the front of the grid as we heard the National Anthem being performed my Madison a we saw the first ever 500 CC World Championship winning bik that took Leslie Graham to Glory the AGS 500cc at two stroke slightly different these modern day M GP bikes now producing over 300 horsepower some I know You' been on a good look at both the past and present of our motorcycles that have dominated M GP and I think you found out some pretty interesting Insight well I just been having a look at it the the machine Leslie Graham as you said British Rider rode this British built ajs um Albert John Stevens I think it was Joe's son that the initials came from um it's a 500 CC um four stroke uh making about it's about 75,000 RPM maximum making about 40 horsepower about uh it's about 140 kilos 190 km an hour roughly top speed and uh he narrowly beat that's Leslie Graham nello Pagani to the world championship but it was a close one and uh he was riding a Galera 5004 cylinder and the writing was on the wall Apparently after that that you had to have a four-cylinder so most people went that way 1949 thanks for that Simon 75 years on who will be triumphant on a modern day Moto GP spectacular with a nod to the Past starting from the very front on the beautiful Max Biagi inspired a pril liery is Alicia spgo came from 12th on the grid to win this race last year even from Pole Position you feel like he's got a tougher task ahead of him today with the jatis queuing up in his wake first time this season it's an all Factory jaati front row or a double for the team with b and bastianini side by side I guess the biggest unanswered question from yesterday's TSO Sprint is would Baya have beaten bashini in a straight fight had he seen The Checkered Flag maybe we get that answer this afternoon Baya knows that if he's going to lead the world championship to Austria in two weeks time his margin for error is near nonexistent the crash in the Sprint yesterday saw his 10-point lead cut to one primier pret might well be sounding a cautious tone about jge Martin's prospects this afternoon but as we've seen it can only take one Split Second error to turn this title battle on its head yeah peka B in the modern M GP for stroke here only two of the Riders have gone on winning streaks of five successive wins or more in m g his great mentor Valentina Rossi and Mark Marquez of course who was the last time we saw a rider win five on the Spin 5 minutes then to race start you can just feel the tension building the atmosphere and the volume getting cranked up here at Silverstone just a little bit of breaking news about the 2025 edition of the British Grand Prix actually before it lights out the GP race here at Silverstone Ana basini the TSO Sprint winner yesterday looking to make the double he goes from third PCO Baya starts second but it's a spgo on the beautiful black ailia Livery that he trying to make it back toback wins here in the briish Grand Prix Mar [Music] [Music] it's retro race day here at the 2024 British Grand Prix at Silverstone and to get proceedings underway ahead of what we heard will be 20 pulsating laps of Premier class action here here at the British Grand Prix we had some classic retro British music for our introductory theme tune I was getting Vibes of the Shadows there was definitely some Queen in there wasn't there who will be the king of silveron the Rolling Stones that featured in there as well this is Pier taraso talking about what could be a hugely significant front tire choice for Al SPO welcome a one and all tuning in from the four corners of the globe for a vintage style modern spectacle as 11 M GP teams and 22 of the best riders in the world celebrate our 75th Anniversary they are all sporting special one-off unique liveries to mark this wonderful occasion and let's hope there's a race befitting of the occasion coming your way a latest far last year came from 12th Place on the grid to take the victory the only lap he led on the last lap was the most important one of all and just as what happened in the earlier Moto 3 race just what happened for a large part of last year's British Grand Prix in M GP s crar just reporting that there are some light spots of rain falling at down in pick Lane Lewis coming to the grid we suspected that the four of triers for asaro viales Olivera and Fernand there is the helicopter shot this is live on board the helicopter as the field snake their way through maggots and beckets you can see quite clearly there the spots of rain on the camera lens surely not this would be a huge twist in the story of this weekend here at Silverstone Al spgo Mari Fales Miguel and Ral Fernandez intended to start this Grand PR with the hard front tire Le are they doing so two of them are two of them are not alaus bar has stuck to his guns and gone for the hard front tie the other affilate to do so is R Fernandez Maverick falz and Miguel Oliva have joined the rest of the field on the medium front mot GP is always so unpredictable one thing you always kind of expect on a British fre weekend is potentially some rain at some point let's just keep everything cross that we don't get a rain disruption for what has been already a fantastic weekend a weekend to reflect and look back on our proud and Rich Heritage but now it's the superstars of today the superstars of mod GP in the present in 2024 who are ready uh to deliver what should be 20 Unforgettable laps of Top Flight motorcycle race action here at Silverstone the green flag then has cleared at the back let's hope those rain spots stay away as we get lights out and we are racing in M GP here in this historic British Grand Prix the dream launch from the middle of that front row by the world champion PCO Baya Alexis sparo sandwiched in between jge Martin and Ana Bas n it's a factory the catti one two as he stands right now Alexis sper tries to fight back going through turn three but Baya leads yeah Mar Marquez is now right behind him and up the inside of El Bar one of the ktm's was left on the grid it was Brad binder who went nowhere off the line at the back of the field there was contact there I think between elay Fargo and H Martin already swapping some of their special paint workor here at Silverstone Alexis spgo was hung out the dry there by his great friend Martin now Al Spargo down to fifth front pole big big move into brookers there from Jack Miller someone just shot off the into the run off there on the outside you can see a couple the two track out Riders I think both miguela and Ral Fernandez dro down the order the track house teammates have taken each other off oh dear oh dear oh dear not the way that that team wanted to start his Grand Pre it is indeed F we just saw the big blue and silver blur in the background suspect it was one track ass Spike at least unfortunately it is both of them terrible way to start this British Grand Prix then for track ass racing was sporting a a nod to American Grand Prix Legends for their special Livery they snake through magots and beckets for the first time B it is then that lead from basti in the TSO springman yesterday Martin in third place Alis Bargo has regrouped he's back up into fourth yeah I think Brad B is going to be out of this gr three he still not come through the second sector I saw him off the line just furiously gesticulating and waving his hands trying to get something going on that KTM and the KTM was not responding so bend is going to be out of this Grand Pre along with the track house Joo but it is the dream start for the factory jaati team Baya from bashini with J Martin holding a watching brief in third through Club Corner we go then for the first time yeah binder has stopped with a technical issue on that first La already then we've lost Ralph herandez and Miguel L for track house racing Brad vinder a technical retirement B then that leades and only 310 of a second he was clear of the beast in second as we start lap two not been a good first lap for either of the factory Ailers really both of them have dropped three places Maverick viales has dropped to 10th he's just gained one so back into the top 10 Alis bargo's fourth here's the battle between the first of the VR 46 diates that's toan Antonio taking Pedro Costa for seventh place yeah Costa got on the inside of Digi there going through turn three but the Jan Antonio was able to sweep back cut to the inside line for turn four that means aosta has got all that hard work to do once again they're battling at the moment for seventh and eighth place a little bit further down to the back end of that top 10 that's F he's got in really hot seriously wi there was he going into Brookland that's an easy mistake to make as you decelerate down from six to second gear for that tight left hand so the Beast slips back to third that's where we lost the two track house Riders on the previous lap so pek Bay in the perfect position where he'd want to be with a half second lead over jge Martin and you feel that the likeliest Challenger to Bay is bashini you look at Bay already stamping his authority on this British Grand Prix as he chases a fifth straight win yeah history beckons then for bangay here still an awful long way to go an awful lot of hard work to do in this British Grand Prix for the world champion but we remind you if he does win this British Grand Prix it will be his fifth successive Victory and in 75 previous years of this great Championship No deatti Rider has ever achieved that feat he's nearing 610 of a second clear now deep into this fourth sector on this lap two here in Silverstone we're looking forward towards the poll Setter Alaya Spargo who got a little bit pushed and shoved around on that first lap by jge Martin is there at the moment in third place he was having a little bit of a sniff there as bashini once again out breaks himself that's going to put him well truly under pressure for Malaysia Spar grow is going to be all over him like a rash as red as the factory jatti 2003 color scheme that's heading down the straight bashini safe into Abby ahead of a Spargo but those mistakes from bashini saw him lose 610 of a second to Baya on that second lap is he just suffering with a a full fuel tank here it's going to get worse for the Sprint winner yesterday in fact the lat Bargo does indeed dispense of the Italian and now on the inside com 93 Mark Marquez got to be careful here basini with that beautiful Mika tribute helmet on the factory deatti with he's being seriously beaten up here early on Fourth now he sits behind the LA of spgo and under real big pressure from the Marquez Brothers yeah Bas he started this lap uh best part of a second behind B that lead has only grown from the first of the factory jaat back to the second of them jge Martin just creeping back towards Baya so far on this third lap with a half second Gap back to Alaya sparo behind the crini jatis we have aosta in seventh place and this was the battle for second place on the first that this was Martin forcing his way through on his very good friend delcious Bargo yeah that's what you call some first sector first lap aggression isn't it from Martin he was pretty aware obviously early on that bangari got the drop on him on the run the short run down to Abby properly ran Alexa Sparro wi going through through there I don't want to see any really damaging that lovely brilant body workor but all F and 11 W the helicopter shot follows the top six down the hanger straight up to about 340 km now at the fastest part of this wonderful 5.9 km Silverstone circuit Baya just under half a second clear Martin in second place there's a little bit of a gap then back from Alia sper and third the factory PR rer two Bast g n is just trying to settle himself down here after a very very sketchy Scrappy couple of first laps here yeah a bit of a r reversal to what we saw yesterday in the T room when it was Bay who had to play catch up after a poor first lap after his rear ey High device didn't disengage coming through turns one and two this time though it's Baya who's doing the leading and bashini who has to do the chasing the gap between the two jaati teammates is 1.3 seconds and bashini has got the two for jaat is all over him for fourth place shout out to alus Fargo in third he's just at the first ever 158 race lap here at Silverstone that is some early Pace some early speed by the number 41 Alexis Bargo 15889 five that's about half a second inside Alex rin's 2022 previous best race lap he's got that mix in hard front tire nicely up to working temperature now of course he's the only Rider left in this British Grand Prix that has the yellow banded hard FR tire is that going to prove to be a tactical Master stroke late on from Alay Fargo but his early speed is a sight to behold certainly is and we're running on board at the moment with the raing world champion as J Martin continues to nibble away at the Gap he gained two10 on the previous lap 590 versus a 592 for Petco Baya halfway around this lap he's gained another 10 so that early threat that we saw of Baya potentially streaking off into the distance when bash lost second place has at least been quelled for now as we now ride on board through Chapel Corner left handed which leads us onto the hanger straight and a 610 of a second Gap behind us or behind the of Spargo bini still not exactly making much of an indent on the trio ahead of it further back Marquez Mark that is fifth Alex Marquez at six AC cost the 7th the Jan Antonio in eighth Miller in ninth place of course shot window time for Jack Miller the phone has not been ringing at the moment without a riding any Paddock in 2024 let's hope that Miller can find some late season form and secure a seat at somewhere either it be M GP or in World Super B potentially next season vigard is completes the top 10 as it stands right now Frankie melli circulating in 13th Place on the prier pret DTI after his first Corner first lap indiscretion against betki in the Sprint yesterday he's got a double Long Lap penalty of course coming his way yeah so watch bindo we're just uh circling him now sixth bike on the grid and you could see him with his left hand immediately putting his hand up very nearly got clipped by by Marco beeki binder furiously trying to get some previous response and engagement from that KTM the KTM was not responding and as a result of that Brad binder stopped halfway around that first lap yeah KTM says no KTM computer says no gutting for Brad binder who was pretty confident building on his best Sprint finish yesterday since the opening round in catar a real solid fourth place from binder helped largely by the exits ahead of him of the likes of bangaya and Mark Marquez but nevertheless good to see binder fighting hard back inside that top six never got the chance though did he from lights out here today at Silverstone on board with Martin then through this spectacular blind entry the third gear cops corner now you really do see a m GP bike stretch its legs around Silverstone third gear all the way through this wonderful maggots and beckets section right left right left a proper test of your motorcycles agility a proper test of your upper body strength as well as you muscle these man GP missiles around and then get the slingshot down the hanger straight good drive good acceleration good momentum out of that well onto the Hang straight wasn't it by bangaya yeah despite the initial fear on the warm up La doesn't appear as if those spots of rain have led to anything greater than that Al though we do still have some rather ominous clouds up ahead of us looks on this fourth lap as if her basini is now starting to get himself up into speed further on this lap we've already seen him close the gap up to Al Bargo which was nearly 610 when the lap began you can see now it is much much closer Bas does at 59.1 on that most recent lap he was quicker than all of the three Riders ahead of him for all you Mor fans watching at home and I know there's plenty of you Franky W Deli has just completed his double Long Lap penalty it's dropped him out of the points at the moment in 16th Place that's the J Antonio on the inside of aosta going into turn three nice move couple of times in in that turn three early on here in Silverstone dig you has toughed it out with a Costa it's going the way of the Italian right now yeah of course Pedro Costa is the sole KTM in this leading train of eight of course with binda out of the action just behind that group as it looked as if a Costa was trying to come back here Dian Antonio Jack Miller leads that second group in Ninth Place AC cost the way wide in the back of the picture into Brooklyn San Antonio now firmly has that seventh place under control yeah so batter and Bru bet SEI in 10th place at the moment the poll Setter here one year to go in almost Monsoon conditions on Sprint Saturday at the British Grand Prix 2023 Edition he's in 10th place at moment doing a pretty good job got a serious whack a real wall up on his right ankle after the contact at turn one in the Sprint from Frankie Morelli so it's uh relying on some painkillers and some adrenaline at the moment is Marco Baki just a little bit hot there Wasing to the back end of mag and Beck it's Tako Baya if you saw a beautiful overhead helicopter shot yesterday at the various Styles and strengths and weaknesses of both B and Mark Marquez while that were together in qualifying Bay is able to pull out a little bit of a gap once again as they come onto the hanger straight Marquez still hanging on fact both Marquez Brothers hanging on pretty well at the moment in fifth and sixth they both set personal best laps last time around and actually were both slightly quicker than PCO banay we've seen this scenario before haven't we this year with Bay leading at the front of the race not by much but surely as we've seen from Bay before just managing that well aware that on that Medium front tire he needs to make sure he's got some front grip left in the latter stages of this Grand Prix yeah this feels like it's all going to the master plan really it's just sort of settled into a a steady Rhythm around the low 159's high 158's once again in the case of a Sparro nobody at the moment really willing to stick their neck out and and burn up those melin tires as we thought it would be it's just a very early game of cat and mouse the race one year ago really came alive didn't it towards the conclusion well it went all the way down to the wies a latest Fargo picked off MaGa on the very last lap are we uh setting ourselves up we certainly hope so for some more late drama here at silveron there's almost equal gaps isn't there really from the helicopter shot between your lead five Baya Martin asaro basini and Marquez I think basini will feel pretty comfortable and happy there sitting in fourth place particularly given how the race began for him with those battles with Martin and Spar which both came out on the wrong side of if you're in a Bas within a second of the race lead at the moment Baya hasn't broken away into the distance and basini as we know tends to get stronger the longer the race goes on of course if Baya does start to e out a gap then that will sound the alarm bells for bashini gos with those two bikes between himself and his teammate but at this stage of the race bashini is still firmly In Contention J Antonio you can just see there at the back of your picture how quickly he's dropped Pedro Costa having had a a fairly frantic early battle with the Spanish rookie on that last lap digit at a 159 223 and immediately he's been able to streak Away by over a second to aostar suffering early on here on the uh the gas Gast rc16 machine and potentially suffering very very quickly in terms of an assault from De Jan Antonio will be Alex Marquez in fact he is just as we were talking about it he just slides on the inside of Alex although he's going to run him well that's going to be close on the inside he had for the entry deail and as they saw attacking towards Club Corner J Antonio got the better of it twice in quick succession so the J Antonio now inside that top six all be it very very briefly Brave move from Alex Marquez to go the inside into Anton hang around around the outside of farm curve as we now cut to the leaders who came out on top between dig and Alex Marquez it was to Jan Antonio but that battle still rages on yeah loving the uh per Ranger of VR 46 Livery a nod of course to nine times world champion Valentino Rossy they were sport for choice in terms of the unique liveries that Rossy ran throughout his career Alex Marquez retaliation instant on the J Antonio they go side by side elbow to Elbow bar toar racing this isn't it between the two daati GP 23s this is what five or six times now in the space of half a lap they've overtaken each other and look what this battle has done out of nowhere Pedro Costa was a second behind Alex Marquez and Fabio the Jan Antonio this dingdong has seen aosta now get right onto the back wheel yeah they've lost 610 of a second just to the group up ahead of them which have now well and truly broken de Jan Antonio was the second half behind when the lap began he's now best part of 2.2 Dean Antonio says hey we're both cosing ourselves time here just follow me I can maybe bring you up to the leaders but I fear that horse might have pted now some great news which will be broken very very shortly I'm sure well Dev tdd obviously the factory the Gatti boss has already broken it this weekend at Silverstone Favio the Antonio in 2025 will be on a factory supported taati gp25 the only other two Riders will get that level support Pekka Paya and Mark Marquez the Jan Antonio wrestling hard for yet another top six we're on board now then with Mark Marquez he's at the back of this lead quintet they'll flick it right now now just be Feathering the throttle don't want to create too much wheel spin don't want to lose the drive on the Hamilton straight don't be burning up that mitchellan rear tire too early Marquez then now attacks through Abby you can see it's Baya it's pretty much as you were from lap two or three that top five Baya Martin espigo basini and Mark Marquez who we were riding on board there briefly with and just to underline how counterproductive that Dean Antonio Alex Marquez battle was although it was very very entertaining to watch they were the wrong side of the 2minute mark on that last lap while Baya Martin and Cy were doing 50 59 threes and 592 so they lost 3/4 of a second a Costa despite all of that was actually no quicker as he caught up to the back of that pair the fastest Rider behind him was actually Marco Zeki who did his personal best on a 159 point4 as he tries to pull clear of Jack Miller riding his heart out isy Marco about saki because we know he's going to be suffering that whack he got yesterday from Morad Deli we Fe he might put him out of this acceleration Grand PRI here at Silverstone but he's doing a Sellar job there in Ninth Place into low 159 in fact on that last lap he was less than a 10th slower than the likes of esparro basini and Marquez fighting for the podium here at Silverstone out through maggots and beckets we will shortly go there they'll flick it left now then here is Fabio quatero further down the field a former br is grand prix winner of course very different times and different days right now for the factory amaha team quaro in a very lonely 12th Place a shocking weekend for Maverick Fales completely outgunned out fought by his teammate Alay Fargo viales who's got such an incredible record here at Silverstone outside of the top 10 not what we expected from the Top Gun who's firing blanks yeah we're following now the Honda battle as Frankie Morelli recovering from his Long Lap penalties looks to try and pick his way back through there that was Luka Marini leading teammate dwan me Marini got his first world championship point last time out in Germany he's now leading his teammate in their battle for 13th sideway style there on the breaks on the highp speed running to Abby was Baya just well he's not trying to shake off the quartet behind him because he knows if he does he's more than likely inevitably to run into some late grip rows so he's just cont managing the pace at the front although Martin's trying to close in on him here isn't it there's a clear Gap that's submerged between Martin second to third over alais spgo and he's jumped now all over bai's rear tire yeah Alis SPO looked like he was a little bit wide there when he went into Village Corner which then puts you completely on the wrong side of the racetrack when you want to be turning left into the loop you want to be over to the right hand side as PCO Baya was trying to be it today when he sent it down the road so a little bit of an error there from Alay farg but Mart clearly warming to the task here as we approach half distance in this British gr free this is lap 10 of 20 and given how cautiously optimistic rather than buoyant Gino PA soy was before the race I think this is perhaps exceeding his expectations he was right here last year where bang lost the British Grand Prix to alayia SPO on the very last lap and now he's under some serious pressure isn't he that has been building for the last two or three laps or so from jge Martin now Martin if he gets the slingshot here he might FY a move with the slipstream on the gp24 dati alongside peka bangaya now he's not really close enough just too good on the brakes is Bard as they decelerate then from sixth down to third gear into the Stow Corner they're going to be interesting to see what the Gap is on this lap between Martin and elay sper because clearly there's been a step on this lap 10 half distance about to be completed from Martin they come through turn 18 fire the datis through the club Corner over the line bang comes it is just over 2/10 of a second nothing between the lap times they both exchanged 159 tws but yeah Alis Faro had a tough lap 10 he was back in the 159 SS lost half a second on that lap yeah I think it was all in that mistake he made into Village Corner jge Martin staring at potentially reclaiming the world championship lead if you can reverse the order of these two jatis up ahead of us it's interesting though cuz speaking to PCO Baya on Friday he said hey hly Martin's quicker than me at the moment in terms of ultra race pace of course generally Baya gets stronger the longer the weekend goes on uses the data from the TSO Sprint to give himself the best possible chance and set up for the race on the Sunday but of course Baya only did a few laps of the Sprint before he dumped it from fourth place if basini has to double up here at a silver Zone he's got to crack on with this because look the gap between Bay Martin and the latest Fargo is increasing corner by Corner isn't it here in Silverstone so and now bini has got to find a way through on L spgo you feel very very shortly because Al Spargo just has not got the pace mid distance at the moment to go with the two Factory Jukes ahead of him magay and Martin are just trying to to get away here Al Le not helped as you mentioned by the mistake but he's lost another 410 already on this current lap they G that nearly a full second yeah you can see basini and Marquez now climbing all over the back of Al SPO I think basini is decided now is the moment to stri strike although alici pagro very very late on the breaks was he slightly too late the answer is yes basini now up into the top three which is now an all jati GP 24 top three you can see that factory pry the medium rear tire twitching as a la Spargo got on the gas he did everything he possibly could to defend that final place on the podium could still of course find himself inside the top three but once again the top three is an All deatti Affair they've locked out the podium in the last six M of GP races and now with an B getting on with this the gaff's got to recover having taken third from Al Fargo 1.3 seconds as Martin's going for it on the inside of bangaya into turn three this British Grand Prix then is starting to come alive jge Mar then takes the lead as it stands at the moment he leads the M GP World Championship oh that would been brave if Baya was going to send it up the inside of O Martin on their way onto the Wellington straight so now Baya has to do the chasing not just in the race but if you put the flag out now jge Martin would have his world championship lead back so jge Martin has decided then with what eight and a half laps to go then now is the time for him to go for it look at the anxious faces inside Prat daati his screw Chief Danny roli who's moving over to ailia with the Spanish star could barely look at the screw I think he's already his fingernails away T's eyes are liting with all this bashini he's just cut the Gap to Baya in that second sector in half he started sector two a second behind his teammate it's down to half a second basini is now just8 off the race lead it was 1.3 when this lap began more misery for HRC and Jan me he's a retirement M has entered the pits on the lovely ns500 HRC Freddy spent at 1983 special Livery so now then it's Martin that leads firing down the hanger straight hard on the brakes he will go then now into sto Corner this would be some special tribute wouldn't it be he's running the beautiful Livery of Spanish Legend Angel nto there he is we're getting a good look at it now on board from PCO B who's creeping closer on the brakes into Veil stops that the cell really nicely doesn't need that tight chicane as we come to the back end of this lap 12 a very significant lap 12 and the potential outcome of this year's British Grand Prix because jge Martin took the lead at turn three and his Advantage as we start lap 13 is nearly 3/10 of a second yeah not a good lap for b as you can see bottom of your screen it's a 599 of course having lost the lead to Martin 591 for bini Martin goes wide though into turn Three Village corner but he's got the inside line now for the loop but Ana basini is now been brought right onto the tail of our leading two yeah the Beast now well up for the double he knows that he is Right In Contention and we know how good he is at late race time management here he goes oh he thought about it he really thought about it you could see his Factory to catti was snaking sideways it went left it went right before he flicked it in to Brooklyn's Corner magaya does just about hold on Martin know it is that still leads yeah Martin fortunate there that he was able to hold off Baya into the loop and it forced Bay onto the defensive and look how quickly bash janini closed in as they went through woodcut Corner Bay now on the way into cops closes in again on Martin this could go any way of three ways in this all Gatti battle for the lead Martin Baya and basini we know that it's anas Forte late race Pace silky smooth with that right throttle hand in managing the rear tire if you're ha Martin and peka bangay now and you know that an a Bas is Right hugging your rear tire at this late stage you might be sensing a bit of bother a bit of trouble coming late on we're on board with the Italian 20120 Moto 2 world champion on the top step of the podium in the Sprint yesterday for the very first time he would love the dream double here in this Landmark British Grand Prix it closes up once again on the breaks going into fail doesn't he on bangaya very shortly seconds away from seven to go here in Silverstone J Martin it is that still leads B again outside of that 159 marker and he's losing touch here with Martin ho Martin nearly half a second clear basini was also 59.6 from ANA on lap 13 clearly he's got the grip Lewis yeah it wouldn't be the ideal result in terms of the world championship for the ja Catalan NOA team but if they want to win this gr and prey they might they're diving in and Diving out it's mrf Grace all through enjoy the grace experience brace it out on mrf steel brace radio aox 155 introducing vergin s with smart key [Music] a a leon French G pre field hasn't it where B made so much of the the front running and then just did not have the the late Pace certainly of jge Martin and basini then took a tenth out of Martin through sector three let's just track Al Spargo and Mark Marquez over the line that at the moment is a battle for fourth and fifth place but they will see the troubles that bangay is encountering over the line the gap between Martin and fast Nini exactly 8/10 of a second they're the one of only three Riders have crossed the line at the moment to start lap 15 that are doing 59s Martin basini and full respect to Marco Baki still doing High 159 yeah he's chasing down Pedro Costa he's going to be catching him shortly that's the battle for eighth place so Martin still doing 59 fours at around 3/4 distance in this Grand Prix that is super super impressive from Martin what a response this could be to what happened to him at the saxing if he could come back from the summer break and win the British Grand Prix and take the world championship lead back you have to give full respect to allar team but an bashini is not going to let him get away with this too easily nobody is going to be counting their chickens or are they primma prach racing they've been in this position before a month ago at the German GR PR in the saction ring where they look like they were going to complete the pole Sprint and Grand Prix treble to laps from the end jge Martin blew it fluffed his lines and it's his hands though at the moment this will be such a huge psychological boost for Martin and a real psychological kicking as well to PCO Bay there's so much at stake here in terms of the champion of course yeah there's still going to be 10 grand PR to follow this Silverstone battle but you do feel after to the drama of the late Heart Take of the saction Ring to Martin a win here this afternoon Lewis what a humongous filp that would be it' be a huge Filip as Mar Marquez looked as if he was about to take fourth place from alaus bar but once he get on the breaks alaus bar with that hard front tire on just able to break down a little bit later than Mark Marquez and you could sense the frustration building for the 93 here in fifth place the L are slightly wide into Veil but there is no way through it's very much one at a time as you go through club and as we cross the line now there are five laps remaining 595 jge Martin 593 for Ana basini Baya did rally somewh on that last lap back into the 59s which has certainly put a firm grip for him on third place but his only hopes really here are basini to reel in Martin even if Martin finish his second ahead of B here he would take the world championship lead but at least it would limit the damage somewhat fair play to B Marquez then finally does find a way through on Alis SPO two Spanish war horses veterans there of M GP aren't they the latest spo's hopes of back-to-back British ground pre- wins pretty much disappeared out the window they have faded rapidly here he's now back in fifth place 59. 373 from basti Nini on 15 lap old tires around this tire punishing long technical demanding Silverstone layout is some rapid Pace keeping the pressure firmly on the shoulders of Martin who is resisting he has not looked like cracking as yet yeah the pair of Prem CES are actually the 59s they can barely watch down in the prim magti garage or Martin's father just I guess to use the football anergy kicking every ball he's riding every lap in every corner of this with his son o Martin who would be able to produ such an incredible response here to what happened to him at the Saxon ring bashini is chipping away at it but he's not exactly taking heaps of time out of Martin Martin if he can just keep it in the 59s he might just have enough yeah Angel Martin father of your race leader jge Martin of course sporting the angel Theo special Livery here in this 75th anniversary celebration Grand Prix the lead Trio dropped down into Vil you fear for bangay he's got nothing left in the locker to get himself back into Victory contention here now it's just a case of ensuring he holds on for third place a damage limitation exercise we didn't really see coming did we four five laps ago the Gap then between Martine and basti N four to go in this simmering tension of the British Grand Prix is just under 610 of a second got to give Martin credit here he is they're diving in R it out v g can you recommend a good car it's the Katy gp24 versus the Katy gp24 these two have had their big battles for the factory the catti seat previously and now they're a big battle to win the Battle of Britain here at Silverstein course Bas will feel that he's not out of the world championship conversation just yet given that we're reaching the halfway stage in the season when the checkered flag comes out in three and a half laps time if bashini can get past Martin and win this race he would take another nine points PCO B and there is every chance at that he is now so so close he can almost Reach Out And Touch the rear arrow on that primat jaati of ha Martin three to go then as they cross the line to complete lap 17 and it's 3/10 of a second the advantage for Martin that was an absolute belting lap from basini somehow he found a 15972 310 nearly faster than Martin directly ahead of him Baya Marquez and La Fargo just have not got that speed on that last lap Ana basini was nearly a full second quicker than his teammate the reigning world champion peka B who will not create history as a five time successive winner on the factory deatti this is unreal pressure on the shoulders of hor Martin basini doing 59 ons in 17 lap old tires as you say a second and a lap quicker than everyone on circuit except the one ride there he needs to pass jge Martin he's still somehow managing to muster a 1594 this is not going to be an easy slam dunk for basini my team wants this badly just look at the Beast spinning that rear tie going through the mindblowing wood coat corner on the inside curve pinned in fifth gear 225 km hour that's why these Riders are the best of the best this is building up to a thrilling climax here at Silverstone forget Baya forget Alis SPO forget Mark Marquez they are way out of contention for the victory it is all down to two stars Martin versus is BAS Nini they now attack hard on the brakes at the end of The Hanger straight back three gears down to the third gear sto Corner very very shortly there are going to be just two laps remaining here at Silverstone just under 12 km remaining it looks like it could be yet another last lap Thriller it's sector two where reene bashini tends to take a lot of the time out of jge Martin so far on this most recent lap he was 210 quicker in that second sector before Martin stabilized the situation they exchange 1595 the second sector takes you out of Entry Corner down the Wellington straight and up towards the exit of wood cut so potentially into cops and they Bas might well be close enough for an attack both worthy winners you feel that nobody really deserves to lose this as Martin has blinked he has blinked and made a mistake going into turn three how decisive then could that be and now Bas did not even have to try and be aggressive did not have to work out the puzzle of how to find a way through on Martin that could be the key moment of this briish Grand Prix well there not as big an erors he made on the penultimate lap at the saxar ring but once again with two to go h Martin might have seen a rais victory slip through his fingers hard hard on the brakes into Village corner and he just can't get that jaati stopped a bini the easiest race lead that he's ever taken in his life and has while te got anything to fight back with one lap to go almost coming up very very shortly Halfway Around the penultimate lap here Anda basini then never taken a Sprint success until yesterday have been long odds on the Beast rocking up to silveron for our retro Livery spectacle and walking away with a dream double but that's exactly what he's on course for right now they weave their way through the highspeed maggots and Becket section time running out for prak racings jge Martin is going to have to leave it all out there on this final lap as an a basini is almost half a second clear into this fourth split and how much risk is J Martin prepared to take he knows that PCO Baya is behind him down the road he's behind him by 3 seconds it's not the race victory that H Mar team would have wanted if you put the flag out now it's going to be out in a lapse time but it would be the world championship lead back in the possession of jge Martin it's 610 of a second in the advantage of bashini that continues to grow and grow and the Beast has this one now firmly in his grasp last lap on the way then here at Silverstone 810 of a second nearly the gap between basini and jge Martin incredible job this by basini pre-race we heard from Prima PR de voso B soy who told Simon crar imperative doesn't matter where he finishes just make sure he does finish that was the message loud and clear to jge Martin he's he's rolled out of this he knows an air bashini is just too good too strong too fast and the Beast at the moment in cruise control on course for a fairy tale fairy tale double here and Lewis we have to start thinking he's coming right into the equation into the conversation and aashini World Championship titler Contender well there was 67 points the gap between Bay and basini when this weekend began it looks at this stage as if that Gap is going to down to 46 he's going to have taken a third of the points out of him in this round so bashini will start to believe Mak no question about that Martin has rolled off bashini has got magot beckets and Chapel before the final sector between him and the 75th Anniversary success Martin then settling for the 20 points thinking bigger picture of the world championship he will go to the Austrian Grand Prix in the sing mountains at Spielberg in two weeks time as the new M GP World Championship leader back in a position of Supremacy back in a position of authority but it has been an authorative performance throughout this British Grand Pre weekend for Ana basini study on Ana hearty mouth as he got a big wobble on the rear tire coming out of Stow on the front row of the grid yesterday his first Sprint success is going to be followed up with some joyous celebrations as we celebrate our 75th anniversary season and taking the spoils at Silverstone in a stunner goes a basini what a performance by the Italian still doing 59s on the very last lap James and Oliver Phelps of course the Weasley twins from Harry Potter well don't think JK Rin could have written a better script this weekend for Ana basini he does complete his first ever double in the M GP World Championship jge Martin does settle for second after he pays for another late mistake doesn't pay as cost as what he did a couple of weeks ago in the saction ring PCO Baya just did not have the late race Pace at all he took the czecher flag third but he was near six seconds behind Bas Nini top six is for Marquez thean Antonio and la spgo le Fargo faded badly at then Dean Antonio picked him off for fifth Marquez betki a costra more the your top 10 good ride that by m Delia top 10 after two long laps but an basini whenever we reflect and look back in history the British Grand Prix was always going to be a very special occasion a special race to win given the context of it being our 75th Anniversary celebrations and for years and years decades to come we will always see in this historic race weekend the name of Ana basini as the 2024 British grand prix winner and you have to say leis the Beast was utterly brilliant he had to work hard for that down to fourth in the early stages but kept his head and of course the battle between Martin and Baya brought him right onto the tail beding to very interested to hear what PCO Baya thinks of that just ran out of grip at a rapid rate of kns late on a satisfied wave to the onboard camera but the world championship lead has been lost this weekend by the reigning world champion if that race had gone on another lap he might actually have been caught by Mar Marquez van was doing mid 21s on the final lap whilst this time the Beast was still doing 59s the very best of the beast at the British Grand Prix let's go down and get the pre or post race thoughts of I'm sure a very happy the catti BOS G Leia it is a seventh race in succession that the bolog factory lock out the podium in M GP down to you Simon yes GG that battle of wills and skills uh you know right down to J when he ran wide was fantastic you must have been biting your nails give us your thoughts yeah honestly speaking you know all the Riders did a great job today was not an easy race for sure you know and uh you know the battle was fantastic I'm really really happy for an air because you know this is the first win of the season and uh I'm I'm really happy for him congratulations thank you yeah great job from G and the bgo panagar the engineers ha Martin had already made a mistake going into the first corner on that late lap and then it was that what we thought that was going to be the decisive moment of the Grand Prix it's exactly how it panned out just could not quite hold off the hard charging Bas n in hot for the second time in a couple of Corners at turn three frustrated faces for PR KY but when you think about the the low the doldrums at Hawaii was in Lewis immediately after that German Grand Prix second placees in the Sprint and the Grand Prix here at Silverstone it's some return take nothing away from him he's rode awesome all weekend but just been beaten by the better man yeah he's ultimately turned a 10-point deficit into a three-point Advantage this weekend those are the hard facts that he will ultimately settle for Luca mourin who had come across the line in 15 blaz he inherited a point in the sax ring due to a tire fresher penalty post race it looks like he might lose one on this occasion as far as we're una aware no other Riders are under investigation for the same reason Mark Marquez fourth place for him in the end and very nearly as mentioned caught Paco Bay was within a second of him on that final lap just another underlining today of the strength and supremacy of the jcti GP 24 another Podium look out for them as Marquez and Antonio on their GP 23s finished fourth and fifth well ha Martin did Prima plan racing and Spanish Legend Angel nto proud here this weekend a double second place and more importantly leads the world championship once again cracking job boy ho let get thumb thoughts of the boss g b here the Simon Gino you know what it's like on the bike when you have that amount of pressure you know J had from ANA what do you think I'm so happy because he was able to manage a difficult situation Bast we knew from the data he was bit more faster from uh compared to us in a couple of corner and bit more smart in a safe there TI and uh well I have to say incredible race because this was as our maximum and this is what we have to do congratulations thank you yeah a job well done I think when all said done by ha Martin of course yeah he wanted to celebrate our 75th Anniversary Grand Prix from the top step of the podium that honor uh that accolade and the prestige that will come with it goes the way of an a basan what a place to do it of course the world championship started on the island man back in 1949 and on the UK Mainland 75 years later sporting a wonderful Mike the bike hawood tribute helmet as well and bashini has got a smile as wide as the East Midlands here at Silverstone his crew look ECA IC as well it's a funny old game isn't it leis motorcycle Grand Prix racing and Bas Haw Martin first and second in both events this weekend Martin Le the world championship and neither them are running for D catti next year yeah both of them lost that three-way battle for the factory jaati seat next season of course Mark Marquez will say that this is exactly why I want to be in Factory jaati red next season just ultimately couldn't match the trio of GP 24s up ahead of him on his gp23 but an air BAS almost a forgotten man at times this season but he might well just be moving his way into World title contention pavio Jan Antonio well he did the vr46 Livery and helmet design proud today this was in battling with Alex Marquez in the very early stages that was a battle that will live long in our memories fifth place again for dig keeping up his superb 2024 demonstrating once again exactly why vr46 racing were so eager to retain his Services why they fought Toth and now to keep him despite some advances and offers from prak Yamaha and why he's going to get a factory support to gp25 from the catti next season the post race inquest starts in between an A basini and jge Martin I'm not going to say we were denied or cheated out of a thrilling finish by Martin's Lake mistake because we're not quite sure how it would have panned out but CU you always felt like I don't know about you but he did feel that basini was just abiding his time and building for a late attack I think with respect to h Martin of course what we saw from him in the Saxon ring was an error that he took a long time to get over I think this one was a forced error and a bashini was putting so much pressure on him relentlessly in the load of mid 159's that hge Martin had to ride on the absolute raged Edge to keep him behind and ultimately he couldn't keep him behind we've talked of course on this 75th anniversary celebration weekend about so many iconic Riders who've made such a contribution uh to the success story and the current success of M GP d k splet has certainly played a very significant role off track and behind the scenes in making M GP the great show it is today not what he came for third place p b still OPP poning but he loses the world championship lead he's in part firm with Simon beo another great ride and great result for your Championship it seem seemed like you had everything in control and a certain point it looked like you lost grip tell us all about it yeah I was uh trying to do a good managing on the rear tire but then I start to lose the front the the front was uh dropping a bit and uh when when Martino took me I just tried to follow him but uh I lost the front again in corner seven and uh and then I said yeah already crashed yesterday so it's better to finish the race in the last two three laps was very very difficult also for the rear grip but in any case happy uh the weather makes uh the race better because was colder so was easier to manage a beat the tires and uh and nothing hope to see a better result next race congratulations yeah he makes a very valid point there a double dnf would have been a bit of a disaster wouldn't it having wrestled the world championship lead away from ha Martin last time out in the Saxon ring and he is only three points to drift and Martin heading into the second half of the season if you like he he did make the early running he was so aggressive as he suten is at the start of that race got the drop on the field took the whole shot on the run to Abby on the first lap but as we heard from him there the front tire was his main concern throughout that Grand Prix jge Martin back at the top of the M GP World Championship with a double second place here at Silverstone he's with Simon oh hey everyone knew Ana had something special here this weekend the pressure he put on you but how well you stood up to it absolutely fantastic you must be proud yeah for sure thanks for for to my team yeah today paying tribute to anelo was fantastic to finish on the podium I knew and I was a bit stronger at the of the race I tried to you know to be with P off to try to to manage a bit the the fuel consumption and and when I saw was the moment I tried uh the pace was outstanding as always I think we we are reaching a level that is crazy and we are always on the limit and then as soon as I I saw any I was catching I tried to you know to keep keep it constant to try to manage a bit for for the end but he was much stronger today congrats to to thean to toia because he was in another level and yeah now we take back the lead so I'm really happy about this and we move on uh for Austria congratulations thank you yeah as you mentioned he'd be disappointed that he didn't win that British Grand Prix but to be back at the top of the M GP world championship and he did Angel nto proud then he the Prem PR racing team basing their special anniversary celebration delery and H's helmet they look a proper no to the late great anger on the etto 1983 125cc World Championship winning design on the fair ring as the Italian team pay their special tribute uh to the legendary Spaniard Uncle of fona of course the team's sporting director but on a weekend of celebrations here at Silverstone nobody celebrating more than double winner Ana Bashi he's with Simon Ana through practice and qualifying you looked fantastic yesterday and today phenomenal you fully deserved it tell us all about it yeah has been a a very difficult race because uh H I commit some mistakes at the at the start and I was in the fourth place but after uh I was confident to to be to back again and and uh well I've closed the Gap to to Al and after Clos to PCO and the last four five laps hor have pushed a lot and uh has been uh too difficult to to CL close the gap from him but at the end uh H you know the last two lap always have something more and uh today has been uh the same and uh fantastic is incredible to be back h on the top on the real GPO huge congratulations enjoy thank you yeah top top job by NA basti we know emotions are running hard we do have to just apologize quickly though for some of his language in park F understandably so because since he joined that factory the catti team he's had some real tough and dark times it's his second victory in red in a Grand Prix the 26y old Italian fifth Podium now in the opening 10 grand PR and he is going to be a title Contender if he can carry on this kind of scintillating for me shown all weekend here at Silverstone brilliant scenes for the factory deatti Camp that's win number six in the Premier class for Ana 12th all F Grand Prix career bashini at his best is a formidable Moto GP opponent Martine found that out today stretched to his limit in the end and bashini forced the late error I guess you kind of felt that was on the cards really leis after the Sprint yesterday his first well all of his 10 laps in the Sprint were awesome so we kind of suspected that his last 10 laps today over the full distance were going to be just as good and they were he said himself to Simon it's not arrogance it's not Cockiness it's just cold hard facts he knew how strong he was going to be towards the end of that Grand Prix this is on the very first lap a disaster for track house racing as they Skittle into each other I'm not quite sure the helicopter shot who was wide going through Brooklyn we might have a clear indication of what happened here oh it's Oliva gone wide and then losing the front on the inside was R Fernandez and it's his bike his crash bike that careers across the circuit and just cleans out Miguel Oliva yeah I think the team will have a very quick inquest in that there wasn't exactly a a clattering into the other fortunately he was just in the line of fire there his teammate tuck the front had he not made that mistake himself into Brooklyn he would have been well clearer of that so just a race to forget a freakish incident between the track house duer Harry Potter movie stars then coming to congratulate an Bas n after a magical performance from ANA basini of course uh the Phelps Brothers the Wiley Brothers on the big screen yay brilliant well well now we know that Ana basini is a Harry Potter fan what was it lania gavios I can't my my uh translation of that I must ad I'm not really a Harry Potter buff no but I suppose we can make the link of Harry Potter and the philosopher Silverstone for Ana bashini great scenes down there in park firmate add Ana bashini to the list of Fantastic Beasts this afternoon we got to very much use to a Hollywood theme in by GP right now we had Keanu Reeves at the saction ring Jason STM has been here this weekend the action certainly was fast and furious here at Silverstone and don't go anywhere because we've still got more to come because completing our Race Day schedule there's a 17 lap moto2 battle which will be lights out in just over half an hour's time so once again just like it was in herth Leon Catalonia Mello Asen and the Saxon ring to cat's unrivaled domination of the M GP World Championship rolls on and rolls on as it's now seven consecutive races that they have topped or locked out the top three places big fan of the Retro mitchellan caps as well that the Riders wearing up onto the podium many of legenders worn that particular cap over the years basini and PCO Baya Baya seemed satisfied enough didn't he with that third place given the problems he was suffering the memories of what happened to him yesterday firmly in his mind he didn't want to make that mistake two days running of course Martin and basini you feel like they are riding with a a point to prove to show that D catti you made a bit of a blunder in Jing them from the camp next year let's stay quiet though as we listen to the [Music] top [Music] [Music] fore speee think foree speech spee spee spee foree okay very nice let's go guys very very good okay they've had a a first quick glance at how it unfolded in that thrilling British Grand prie as a bini on the top step of the podum just a short pause there just in case we were missing something interesting from our top three and this is a very special Podium isn't it a 75 or 75th Anniversary Podium celebration about to get under way history never ends here's to the next 75 years in the M GP World Championship as our top three another old the caty top three come to the podium celebrations it was Baya and the Marquez Brothers at the Saxon ring it's bashini Martin and Baya this afternoon at Silverstone Mr K's run [Applause] continues as we mentioned in three there is certainly a historical flavor to the podium here well once again PCO Baya has to stand on a Silverstone Podium from one of the lower tiers beat on the last lap last year he never really from around half distance looked like he was in the fight today so maximized his points return took the 16 for third but bouncing on to the British gr PR Podium is the Beast buoyant after a British gr Prix double which kind of felt on the cars didn't it after a Sprint win yesterday given basin's known strengths and qualities over longer race distance KY Carling the president of Monster Energy EMA presents the winning Constructor prize and of course as always it feels like this year it goes to [Applause] jaati the newly married dzia Baya certainly more than happy with her husband's work third place Podium finish number eight for the reigning world champion but not any longer the world championship leader that belongs to hge Martin George dieas F president hands over the podium trophy as jge Martin celebrates his seventh Podium of the season and it's 20 valuable World Championship points which put him back at the summit of this mot GP World title battle but the Battle of Britain this afternoon Was Won by the Beast a British Grand Prix double on this 75th anniversary celebration for bashini ladies and Gentlemen please be upstanding for the national anthem of Spain the national anthem of Italy I'm sorry [Applause] [Music] so in front of Harry Potter stars it's Ana basini who produces a spellbinding performance at Silverstone and he is now coming into serious Championship contention after taking a maximum 37o Hall here in the British Grand Prix he finds himself moving on to 192 points 49 then a drift of new series leader back at the top of the standings he's going to enjoy this Podium isn't he an basini and quite rightly so because he has been operating on a different level to the opposition here this weekend at Silverstone the British fans they so respect of their history they're so knowledgeable about our great Sports history as well and they would have loved the fact that the Beast chose to use a special Mike hailwood tribute helmet and underneath that helmet was an incredibly smart and Incredibly fast M GP St as an bashini with some real favorite circuits coming up for him shortly and next stop over as we leave Silverstone and our special celebrations we pick it all up once again hoping for another Spielberg Blockbuster as we head to the steria mountains for the Austrian Grand Prix what a spectacular location that will be and can anybody stop the catti's domination of this year's World Championship Silverstone has delivered they're diving in and Diving out it's Mr F Grace all through enjoy the brace experience brace it out on mrf steel brace radio [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] out it's [Music] for Martin is 62 points clear of Marquez now in the independent Riders battle Pedro Costa coming under a little bit of pressure after third from Favio de Jan Antonio [Music] prac lead the independent teams championship 31 points now there advance over grini V 46 extend their advantage over gas gas Tech 3 no points of course today the trackouts after both of their Riders went out on the first [Music] La well on a 75th anniversary celebration this afternoon the spectacular retro lither populated the grid forun we didn't have much time to admire brand Defenders as he encountered problems before he' barely left the grid the South African started sixth but out on the very first lap B taking an early lead as an basini had a Troublesome first lap Oro so too did Alis Barrow as he was elbowed aside by his Good Friend jge Martin into Brooklyn's on the first lap though we lost half of our Ailers from the race as Ral Fernandez and Miguel ala collided with each other just one of those things I guess for the track house team there one ride went ride and the other crash straight into the path of him Alis Fargo trying to Rally after his difficult first lap as he made his way through W basini who at this stage of the race was Finding going slightly tough back in fourth place and although it looked like Bay was managing the situation in the first half of the race he soon came under intense pressure from jge Martin as B started to lack some front 10 grip he lost his grip on the front of this British grw Prix second place would soon be handed over to his teammate as Baya almost lost the front into lufield corner and basini taking full advantage as the Gap was opened up for him by the world champion M Marquez took his time to pass Al Fargo as he just couldn't out break the prer ride there he finally made his way through into the loop SC fourth place and as pass piled under the pressure on jge Martin Martin for the second Grand Prix in a row losing the win on the penultimate lab this time though he would only drop to second place which was still enough to see him take the world championship lead away from PCO Baya but the British Grand Prix belongs to the Beast the double goes to Ana basini on this 75th anniversary celebration and here bashini still in with a shot of ending this anniversary year as the M GP world champion he now closes the gap on Championship lead hge Martin to 49 points boto 2 is coming up in a couple of minutes so Moto 3 and Moto GP action completed here at Silverstone in about 2 minutes time our live coverage of the Moto 2 battle over 17 laps will be underway and we will join you yet in a couple minutes time while we take a short pause here in the comy Box don't go anywh for for e [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Birmingham and we're set to conclude our 75th anniversary celebration weekend what we hope will be a pretty special 17 lap Moto to battle we've had fantastic races in Moto 3 and in Moto GP no spoilers here but who will be leading the intermediate World Championship battle when we leave Silverstone later on this evening because it is very tight at the top Sergio Garcia returning from the summer break is your series leader on 47 points already a two-time winner this season the Spanish Rider in Kota and in Lamont but the pressure is mounting the pressure is starting to build behind him and it's all coming from Aura who in terms of both the two actions so far this weekend at Silverstone has been the star of the show agura will find himself firing away from pole position for the first time in 29 Grand PR his last pole position in for yesterday's Q2 action was all the way back at sapang in 2022 a race which turned out to be so petal in deciding the outcome of that year's World Championship of course he was fighting Tony avalino in his battle with Augusto Fernandez for the title and he crashed out on the very last lap but Aura looking to try and sees the lead in the 2024 Moto to title scrap seven points he sits behind Sergio Garcia what a season it's been over ready for empty helmets MSI it's Matt Burton Lewis should be in the com box as always with Simon cfar down in pit L now rewind one year ago to this very same Grand Prix and Ferman aliger really did start to announce himself as a future superstar in World Championship motorcycle racing because it was his first win here last year ending in r of 10 successive cic victories at the British Grand prie and it all really started a change of the Guard you felt in Moto 2 now with Bosa skura the dominant frame but Alig had a terrible weekend so far last year's British grand prix winner fires away from 11th Place on the grid of course Ron BR is soul home turf for Triumph Fu throughout our 75 year history played such an important part from a technical point of view and I'm Delight to say of course now they are the exclusive engine supplier for the m 2 world champion Aaron kette filters through to the front Road grid that's get some thoughts from their boss Steve Sergeant who joins Simon down on the grid he does so I was walking to the grid and saw Steve standing at the front of it and thought home GP Steve of course you're going to win the race you've got every engine in the and every bike on the grid but I thought how about a bit of a mid-season review how's it all going so honestly Simon I think this year has probably been the most exciting year we've had so far with the Triumph here of moto 2 the Racing's been super close nobody's running away with the championship you know you got a whole bunch guys you know who could potentially win the race and I think for the first time what you've seen is you've seen people who haven't qualified quite so well being able to come through the pack and uh I'm curious about that I noticed the racing has got better like there's a couple of real bar stormers like almost Moto 3 racing why is that well I think you have to say that the change of tires has made a big difference um I think historically you know the tires were um you know they were quite uh solid let's say um and even if you pushed them hard or you didn't push them hard they didn't wear particularly differently I think what you've got this year with the tires is you know if somebody does push the tires hard early on you can start to see them drift back a little bit some of the guys who are maybe a little bit easier on the tires early on are coming forwards and it's just kept the racing a lot closer so different philosophy Tire wise so guess there that's why you know they're they're breaking records you know if they're softer and need more management yeah I think you'd have to say that's a big part of it um it's also been quite interesting to see like new teams like MTS helmets come in and um you know in their first season in Moto too they've done an amazing job you know top top two in the championship uh the fact that this year you've got the boscas skuro chassis seems to be a little bit more dominant than the cix that's the first time we've seen that so quite a bit of change one more before I let you go is I've heard a whisper I'm not sure if I'm meant to ask you this but heard a whisper about a new high technology gearbox is it Poss yeah so I think you know people have seen um since we've been in Moto 2 they generally in Moto 2 it's based on a production gear box so you've always had that neutral between second and first and we've had some Riders who um you know if they're not careful making that change they can accidentally drop into neutral so it's always been like that it's always been like that but what we've decided to do for next year is basically change that so that you've got neutral at one end of the gear box and you can lock it out during the race so there's not like Moto GP machine 100% like that so you haven't got the the possibility of accidentally dropping into neutral brilliant I look forward to see it on sports bikes on the road thanks for your time Steve thank you Simon yeah thanks Simon thanks to trian fos Steve Sergeant as we told you then a rare occurrence this for Aura leading the M two field away for the first time since Aang in 2022 he's been on the podium in four of the last five his championship charge is gaining some serious momentum Lewis and what's impressed me so far this weekend as well about the threey old Japanese Rider he's keeping his Focus not distracted by incessant rumors that he has landed a plum M GP ride next season with track house racing ailia yeah those rumors are not quieting down they're just getting louder and louder it feels like a matter of when the pen will be put to paper and when we'll finally find out the news that aigor is a motor GP Rider of the future of course that poll that he had into Pang in 2022 when he sat on the grid that day that was the last time he actually led the Moto 2 world championship would he sees the lead today let's get some thoughts from the NTI helmets MSI Camp from his crew chief Norman ran who with Simon he is and we all know how invested Norman is in his r eye and Pole Position what are you expecting today we expecting a lot of course but you never know race is a different story the bike is good balance between attack LA and the US Tire uh balance so everything was looking well Aon is quite enemy maybe Viti also if you feel good and we will see how Jake is at his home gbre but I think Podium should be the Target and everything blesses upon us though thank you Norman good luck yeah thanks very much Simon thanks to auru as long-standing crew chief at Norman rank there as you mentioned it's been an in incredible season so far for Mt helmets MSI their two star Sergio Garcia and iura top two in the standings Garcia has had kind of the opposite fortunes hasn't it to agura he find him self way down the Grid in 16th place and the British fans and Jake Dixon will certainly be hoping his British Grand Prix experience of 2024 lasts a little bit longer than he did in 2023 he's looking very relaxed on the grid there more on Jake Dixon very very shortly because Aaron kette has been one of the star performers this weekend he was fastest in all practice session second on the grid let's get some thoughts from the Spanish Rider who's this time Aaron super fast flowing circuit here and that's how you look super fast flowing how you feeling I really want myself and I know what they can do today great we look forward to see you thank you short and sweet from Aaron kette let's hope his Grand Prix here at silveron he's not the same just quickly coming back then to Jake Dixon of course it was a disaster really in front of his home ground I think he just put too much pressure on himself of course different Riders have different ways of dealing with the pressure of their home Grand pris but there's a rather contr veral early inant with Darren binder which led to a rather spectacular uh interview with our TNT Sport colleagues but Jak Jake Dixon fifth place he's been feeling a bit under the weather as well leis so 17 tough laps potentially ahead for the Brit yeah he does feel he's in a much better position this year to cope with that pressure pressure he said he put all on himself last year he's got a former teammate right next to him here in the form of Alberto Ras who starts in place right behind him as you saw a moment ago is his teammate current teammate Manu Gonzalez for the QJ motor crini team and we wish Manu a happy birthday today he turns 22 today let's quickly head down to the gr and here from the home favorite Jake Dixons with Simon Jakey good position on the grid and home GP how you feeling fantastic mate feeling really really good been fast all weekend don't know about the the Rhythm um but I think I'll be there or thereabouts pretty good at saving my time normally so uh I'm ready to get stuck in and give this crowd a show very best of luck thank you yeah let's hope for the British fans let's hope for Jake Dixon that he can deliver a Big Show in this Grand prie Scott reading the only British winner since British GP came back to m in 1997 has won an intermediate class race in 2013 Joe Roberts who looked absolutely nailed on a shoe in for a track ass racing seat in 2025 it looks like he is going to miss out that will sting won't it for Joe Roberts third in the world championship 24 points he is behind Sergio Garcia tough one to swallow for Joe Roberts if he is indeed Overlook for track as racing which seems that's the way the cards are falling Tire information has come through from pelli and it is a nice and simple one for us all to follow from home every rider in the field has gone for the SC1 soft and the sc0 rear soft time management in the new parelli era guitar aside in the opening Grand Prix hasn't really been the Forte the strong point of late has it for Alonzo Lopez who himself is one of several Moto two stars with the likes of Sergio Garcia the championship leader Antonio arino who is being strongly linked with one of the two prak Yamaha seats in 2025 and Beyond keep an eye on Lopez he's not shy at getting the old elbows out is he he goes from the head of that fourth row 10 place a big surprise to see Lopez and last year's brick G PRI WI a firing Alig again next to each other on that row four yeah Lopez the second of the voska scor Ros on the grid Al de G lines up 11th right next to him along with Tony aralin a heavy rate heavyweight fourth row you have to go all the way back to 16th on the grid to find the current points leader Sergio Garcia points is something he has never scored here at silverston if that continues today then he might well be losing the world championship lead yeah and with the the pressure building from the opposite side of the Mt helmets MSI garage not the ideal time to fire in his lowest qualifying performance since he was 18th on the grid in the season om in C that didn't really disturb him too much because National circuit in katar there is Jake Dixon with a beautiful special home race helmet that is a tribute to his father Darren Dixon who was a very accomplished very tal talented solo Rider but also a multiple World SAR Champion as well so top job that Jake let's hope the Dixon family will be celebrating with that oneoff helmet in park fer post race here at Silverstone yeah there was Sergio Garcia at a crash at Village on Friday afternoon it's not been an easy weekend by any means nor has it ever been for him here at Silverstone first front row start in Moto to for the rapidly improving Dogo morera the South American he goes from third place on the grid Aaron canett has had great pace and potential throughout this British Grand Prix weekend he slots in on the middle of that front row but launching away from po position for the first time in nearly two years can he wrestle the m 2 world championship lead away from his teammate Sergio Garcia keep an eye on pul starter ayura as he take leads the field away here at Silverstone could today be the day that the Moto 2 world championship lead change his hands psit aigoro will certainly hope so he said a 202 940 yesterday Card jge Naro and chabby carder lose completely top 30 see the one Rider on row 11 is chavy artiguez so 17 laps of moto 2 action coming your way here in this 10th round of 2024 AER on pole Jake Dixon carrying the British fans hopes from the middle of the second row in fifth place some story wouldn't it after all the heartache of 12 months ago if Dixon was to rebound from a a real brutally tough start to 2024 with a victory which would have that extra special feeling if he gets the job done in front of his home crowd on board then with aura is this the beginning of the end of his motor 2 world championship career he will certainly hope so of course perennially linked with a Ponda switch in the Met GP World Championship I think there has been some discussion behind the scenes about potentially replacing Takami at the de mitsu elonda next season but with the chance and what a chance it would be to move to track house racing next year on a factory back to Pria but it all looks like it's just pointing in one direction for ayura on board then with Dixon as he weaves his way through maggots and beckets just got to block out the pressure block out the attention treat this like any other race easy said than done of course when all your friends all your family and so many British fans are in the grand stands to cheer you on still cloudy and overcast but after light rain spots fell on both the war blats of moto 3 and Moto GP thankfully both of the races ran in full dry conditions doesn't like we're getting our occurrence of that ahead of this Moto 2 battle your Championship standings in Garcia leads seven points clear of a aura Aura though the rider in a rich ve of form second in Leon the winner in Catalonia the winner in Asen and on the podium last time out at the Saxon ring just his second front row start of the Season we know how good a guru is particularly at the end of races let's find out what he's got in the tank at the beginning of this British Grand Prix in Moto 2 the 81 of Center AIS there in the background confirm this weekend he's staying put with liim mole husana intact next season he goes from 20th Place on the grid we have the green flag then clearing at the back of the grid 17 laps of M to action coming your way up next it's lights out and we are racing in moto2 here at the Bri Grand Prix look at that star by a almost half a b land clear half a dozen b l clear of the field he sweeps into Abby the first Corner electric start dream start by the Japanese star ch viet's got away well from the second row he's up in second place connect back in third Dixon and merera toughing out for fourth place Dixon's got the inside line on the Brazilian rookie as they go through Village dexon into fourth yeah good start for the home FV I'm pretty sure I saw Sergio Garcia off the racetrack down into Village Corner we're looking for Garcia 24 for the end of the first sector a bad weekend has got worse for the points leader yeah a shocking start then for Sergio Garcia he's got to really regroup and carve his way back through the pack here in Silverstone Joe Roberts finds a way through on the inside of morera that's into lufield not been the first half of this British Grand Prix of the opening La that morera was hoping for started on that first front row he's now been pushed back to sixth place yeah looking towards the back of the field I think we're trying to pick up Sergio Garcia there he has gained a place through the second sector 23rd for him here he is now passing Barry Balter so Garcia trying to limit the damage what was a disastrous first couple of corners yeah we'll try and get a replay hopefully of what happened and what unfolded with Sergio Garcia in that tight first sector it's a gura then from kette who's shown great race Pace all weekend as Aaron kette fastest in both sessions on Friday top practice yesterday morning second on the Griers arino just runs off the circuit briefly there at the end of the magnets and beckets section yeah he took a shortcut and usually you're supposed to leave a second when you do that here comes connect then quickly through on aora Jake Dixon through two on chelis no Vietti who's lost two places in two sectors so the British fans have their Hope on the podium positions but this was the scenario I think that the rest of mono 2 all feared kette has the lead on that one yeah there's been times this weekend when you've analyzed ket's race Pace where you felt if he got to the front very early on he has got the speed and the potential to clear off here let's hope that's not the case in terms of the spectacle in motor 2 connect then leads at the end of LP one AG go a second Jake Dixon carrying the hopes brilliantly in third place as Joe Roberts tries to fling it on the inside of Viti going through the highs speed turn two and now Roberts as Vietti goes in wide really wide Roberts and morera E through on the Italian yeah I don't think Vietti was on the right piece of racetrack for about three corners there as he was sliding his way into Village corner so Vietti passed by Roberts passed by morera so morera after a tricky first lap is now back up into fifth place Garcia came across the line into the first lap in 20th position four Dixon came from a long long way back there in Brooklyn he was sideways on that CAC sassis the CAF Moto machine briefly sliding on the inside of Aur there's no way in a million years he was making that one stop agura just cutting to the inside line saw Dixon running wide eased back into second place as kette getting his head down here trying to get on with business early on nearly half a second clear Dixon's having another stab here at agura and he's made it work this time through Corner turn nine on lap two much cleaner move second time around for Jake Dixon he's obviously recognized that kette trying to check out immediately here at the front of the field just looking back for the two speed up BOS scorers alono Lopez up one spot into ninth fmin Al G did drop a couple of places on that first La he's now back where he started in 11 Sergio Garcia creeping his way back to point score in contention he's up into 19th Place now oh there's a big crash a real big crash further down the field looks like it's going to be JMA massia the reigning Moto 3 world champion that is a big one big get off then is it Massi we'll try and just find out yeah it is jamama Massi then who's gone down the helicopter shot looking down to Wards KET who's been reing quite quickly good second half of this lap two by Dixon who's dragging agura Roberts and merera through with him as well over the line we go connects into the 203 brilliant early speed by the number 44 20398 4 fastest lap of this Grand Prix so far yeah 2040 for Dixon remember that included the two overtake attempts on Aaron on ayura and now zom zeroing in on Aaron kect once again so once he got it to clear T he was clearly quick as agor now loses another place that's third place going to Joe Roberts so Roberts is now our leading title Contender on track slick move that slick pass by Joe Roberts beautifully done easing through on the inside side of Aura p position back to Fourth now although he's trying to immediately correct that issue and he does indeed into Brooklyns he goes through on Joe Roberts Aura Roberts morera in a pretty hefty old fight this for third place and that's is bringing the likes of Tony avalino back into contention as well Lopez has got through on chelis netti for seven further back Alig has lost the play further back to Manu Gonzalez so rather than making his way forward Alig struggling to get anyway near the top 10 at the moment so it's a day of damage limitation it feels like for the 2023 British Grand Prix wi they looking back from Aura towards Roberts morera and aralo right in touch there Lopez has made progress towards the front of his race now he's seventh ahead of chiso Vietti who was second a couple of laps ago and he's now dropping towards the bottom of the top 10 all weekend it feels like we've been sending out the search parties for aligar he's just been AOL at the front of this British Grand Prix weekend right from the get not at the races at all at the moment struggling to keep himself inside that top down I think Darren binder actually has just gone through so that means Alig guess he has an AIS so the two husv Riders sweep through on firman Alig he's been now pushed back to 14th Place who saw this coming the British Grand Prix win here 12 months ago in stunning fashion run away with it struggling to keep himself in the point at the moment yeah he was barreling up the inside of somebody there into the veil Corner he's trying to get back past the in rers and he clearly Managed IT not the cleanest of moves we've ever seen but it was obviously effective for Aldi gar he's back into 12th Place Sergio Garcia still in 18th spot did his personal best last time around on a 2046 connects doing 204 ons at the front of the race so he's not exactly slow Sergio Garcia but he's got a whole heap of riders to try and make his way past if he's going to salvage any points from this one really like what we're seeing right now from Dogo morera he's making a proper fist of it of course it's a huge qu leap up from Moto 3 into Moto 2 you're dealing with a what an extra 100 horsepower a lot more weight completely different wi tires fourth place in the saxer ring last time out all that man Tony aralin has made a right hash of Brooklyn's he goes careering into the gravel trap topples off the left hand side so tiger Tony who celebrated his birthday here at Silverstone yesterday turned 24 and he goes down in the grav trap marera though look really strong C fourth best in the sax ring last time out in fourth first front row yesterday and looking for his first Moto to podum he's just there behind Roberts in fifth yeah not quite the demonstration of his potential Moto GP prospects that Tony arino wanted to give so far this weekend it's ended in the gravel trap Aaron ket's lead coming down slightly on this fourth lap of 17 certainly in the first half of the lap although he's taken that t back again through the Third third sector so the Gap Reigns around the 710 of a second Mark that it was at the start of the lap kette was able to do 204s at will in practice ear oning the weekend Dixon was also able to do two fours but he was keeping his runs relatively short due to his physical condition so we're a little bit in the dark as to what kind of race pace and race Rhythm Dixon truly has here you get indication just how good morera currently is halfway through his rookie Moto 2 season when you pick out some of the other rookies around him Mario ai's been struggling so far All Season although he did have an excellent qualifying yesterday actually a and he's up in the 17th place we saw the big crass for Jam massia Alina has joined you've got the likes of Tavi artigas saki course second the world championship last year was the Japanese had a really strong to get to grips get a handle on these Moto 2 machines this is a a real thrilling battle isn't it for third place at the moment we're on board with the number 16 Mark of Joe Roberts perfect time to ride on board he flings it on the inside of Aura through the loop he goes and now Roberts back at this battle for third yeah agura had to check up there meet Corner as they went through the loop and that's put him well a little further back than he wants but he's not he's not detering him too much is it straight back up the inside again Joe Roberts just like he was the last time Roberts tried to pass him Roberts wants that inside line back for lufield but Aura bravely hanging on to third he's doing these this Tria no favors at all though is it while they're battling and going toe to- toe here like going to be losing touch with Jake Dixon directly ahead of him they power through the fast sweeping woodcut section Dixon's definitely closing this down on Aaron kette last time around once again it was the third sector where KET was able to win a lot of his time so we'll see if that Trend continues as they now go two three abast into mag's corner and ior lacking bravery there was he got to be seriously bold seriously Brave to make that kind of move Joe Roberts everything he could to just try and squeeze ay girl but the Japanese Rider had decided he was coming through come what may but this battle as we mentioned is just giving Dixon and KET your top two in this Grand PR that little bit of a breather and now Roberts once again says okay well you're giving it out you can have some back as well payback on the inside of agura into Stow Corner we'll try and understand and get an indication of just how much uh this intense battle particularly with freur and Roberts is having an impact on the gap between themselves if anything between the top two well we're watching one of the Vos scuro it's all going off somewhere else in the race with the other bosar scoro as some cat chantra looks like he's dropping out of this race Sergio Garcia is now up to 12th Place he's now two places ahead of fering aliger Who's down into 14th Place so Garcia's had a good couple of laps alig's had a shocking couple of laps Dixon then goes into the lead All beit For What half a second if that turn 16 then is where s chantra British Grand Prix has come to a premature ending on the last lap a 204. 146 was Dixon's pace which was 310 clear of Aaron kette the British fans they will be on their feet they'll be chanting themselves horse if Jake Dixon could e e e e is reversing back towards him and Sergio Garcia at the moment is retaining his world championship week it's all gone pair shape for Joe Roberts since that Italian Grand Prix winning Mello of course the cbone fracture R him out of Asen he was only eighth in Germany or a rather Brave and heroic eighth place but that means now it's two grand pris in the last three where he will not be troubling the points scoring places Philip Salat is having a terrible time isn't he at Al Mar VDS racing Tony arino has already been down the road remounted on his CeX machine he's down in 26th Place but Philip salash he is the the latest victim of what's turning into a bit of a race of attrition here isn't it a Silverstone salot just crashed out then the Jack Ryder it's just as well so many are dropping out he's keeping Fermin Alig in the points at the moment here's Darren binder going through on Alonso Lopez binder now up into the top six he's got Manel Gonzalez immediately up ahead of him then it's aigor who's a bit of a rolling road block at the moment in this race and up ahead of them the final podum position currently occupied by Alberto Ras running in third place what on Earth has happened to ayura just does not have any kind of speed any kind of Rhythm at all doesn't he he really is big timeout there on that Bosa scori Manu Gonzalez with very little eff just he's on the inside through Abby kiry goes and that's now relegated to gura down to fifth looking really strong here on the 15 bike it's South African Darren binder some performance this has been from binder here in the British Grand Prix he's keeping himself inside that top six although that was of course up the inside putting his nose where it arguably didn't belong there he couldn't quite get through on Darren binder but these are all climbing all over the back of aoru once again last time around was doing 206s he's 2 seconds off the pace we can find out what happened to our world championship leader Sergio Garcia you saw him there circled from 16th Place on the grid they sweep up go through the G gears into Abby corner just got wide yeah he just got pushed off the circuit so nothing he could do about that just wrong place wrong time wasn't it back with your top two it is still kette that is resisting this Relentless pressure coming from Jake Dixon a big gap then back to Alber Aras who's on course for back-to-back podiums in two completely different motorcycle racing disciplines isn't he on the roster he was in the suzuku ra Tower great job that by the Spanish rider in the Far East while we were all sunning ourselves on the beach in the summer holidays Aura still there in fifth place but a huge gang behind the Japanese rider that's at the moment still being headed by Darren binder binder versus Lopez where do I buy a ticket for that particular fight yeah neither backwards in coming forwards are they the MTO two terms looking at that battle for the final Podium position the bad news for AR ass is that aigor is no longer the rider immediately behind him Gonzalez of course taking that at the start of this lap and already Gonzalez has started to eat into the advantage for his teammate down to 710 there's Lopez this time he's going side by side with celestino Vietti that's the battle for seventh place and right behind then is Sergio Garcia if you told Garcia at turn one of the first lap with a gur on pole that he'd be in the same group as a gura and within what three bites of him at this stage of the race he would have bitten your hand off yeah we're looking at some serious damage limitation here aren't we from Garcia was a tough weekend going into this Grand perie down in 16th Place and binda finds a way through onur who is just basically a passenger Sitting Duck Right Now isn't he arura you fear for him and maybe two or three laps time he'll be outside potentially of the top 10 here binder drops him down to six yeah I S Garcia was almost gaining one whilst aor was losing one Garcia was trying to get up the inside of chelino Viti he's up behind him there you can see the number three behind the 13 then it's the 21 of Lopez up ahead who's next up for a dip at I Agora so Agora now down into sixth position and it feels as if the damage is far from over yet for aora front Pole Position rever versing back down the order it's not the race I thought we'd be seeing from the pole sitter at all the inter team tossle between grini racing Zas and Gonzalez is hotting up as Fetti fires on the inside of Lopez going through cops Corner Gonzalez on that last lap was 610 of a second quicker half a second quicker than a rain as now desperately hanging on for that final place on the podium there are the gini Riders racing through this maggots and beckets complex you can see there the picture in view of Aaron kette and Jake Dixon still first and second in this Grand prixie yeah still very little to choose between them in terms of lap time they're still lapping together in the 204s they're both doing a fine job because everyone else behind them is doing 205s and 206es with the exception of Believe It or Not of Mario AGI in 11th place who just did a 204 897 chasing his best results in moto2 so far he's a couple of bikes behind the world championship leader yeah well yesterday it was his best motor 2 qualified F 21st on the grid some performance isn't it so far by the Indonesian Rider the fans back home in Indonesia are going to be ballistic aren't they seeing their riding perform so well in this British Grand Prix at the moment Arenas is just about clinging on to that Podium place and when I say just about Clinging On he was hanging on for day Al to those handle bars on that cak chassis and that cost him so much Corner speed going through two and left him wide open for a pass from Gonzalez going through three and Gonzalez said thank you very much so now Manu Gonzalez seizes that third spot yeah Gonzalez had to make that move as soon as he could because the group behind was starting to close in Darren binder did a 2054 last time around he himself was 3 and a half T quicker than Albert Arena so binder moving himself into this all gredy battle for the podium as well is Aura starting to stabilize the situation well the next rer behind him is Sergio Garcia so aura better arrest this slide quickly yeah oh huge huge high side for Mario AI that was a monster get off for AIS he got on the power coming through lufield and woodco that is a real highspeed section several of them around this 5.9 km Silverstone circuit real bone cruncher unfortunately for the Indonesian start Garcia through on I aora I would never have thought I'd be saying that on lap one of this race 10 laps left later Sergio Garcia is ahead of his chief Championship rival and into the top six this is underlining His World Championship credentials he was 24th at the end of the first sector of the race he's now sick and B is having a cracking race ahead of him as well there is the South African on the 15 bike starting to make big inroads towards the grini duo of Aras and also Gonzalez is now Vietti finds a way through on Agora so oh I'm going to be fascinated to understand what happened to Aura from sort of laps two and three onwards because it has just turned into a horror show for the pole starter nobody could have foreseen this coming as he drops well out OPP poning contention and dropping at the moment out a top 10 contention yeah how much worse could this get for aor he's 8 seconds off this pair that we're watching still battling for the lead but the problem agora's got is that much like at the saxing last time out there are very few gaps in this race agor at the moment is well 2 and 1 half to 3 seconds ahead of the final Point scorer Marcos Ramirez who was doing 2055 aoro did a 2057 so his Pace has picked up slightly in the last couple of laps but as you say aigoro will do well to hang on to a top 10 here still nothing between the lap times of your top Duo connect and Dixon 24.8 from The Spaniard a 204. 7 from Dixon that is just keeping KET arms length away from Dixon now riding on board with the Brit goes through the gearbox fifth gear look at that 145 miles hour he was as he tipped it into wood coat some great on board for theer as Dixon looks for what would be a dream day a fairy tale day in his Grand Prix career what a moment it would be special moment for any ride to win your home Grand Prix and that is still on the cards for Jake Dixon further back then we go there's Gonzalez third binder has then picked off arus for fourth place Baron binder's well in the in the game isn't he for his first Moto to Podium yeah he's now passed as you say AR Ras Gonzalez up ahead of him he's doing mid to5 so Gonzalez the moment Is 4/10 of a second up the road from bindo but Darren bindo we remind you came from 18th on the grid in this Modo 2 race and has done all the hard work himself yes there have been one or two Riders crashing out ahead of him but what a ride this has been from the South African Garcia continues to defend defend from chelo Viet every Point precious for Garcia particularly given what's happening to agoro who's now behind Lopez and the top of your picture we saw there 64 ahead of 54 Bo benider ahead of Ferman Alig who's now been pushed back to 14th Place aligar aison benstein got him on the previous lap 2023 British grand prix winner aligar is having a forgettable return to one of his favorite stomping ground you got to go a long long way back to find him Jeremy aloba now looking to inflict more pain on the fast fading ayura aloba is 10th agura slipping down the rankings to ninth yeah Alder as you say is 14th and we've only got what 23 left in this gr three we've lost Roberts aralo salach merera chantra card and massio and of course on the most recent lap we saw Mario AI going down too hadn't been so much attrition F Al the wouldn't be scoring points in this race Ramirez has now passed him the only good news I can give fans there's a big gap back to shter next up oh this is Vietti toughing it out right now isn't he with Sergio Garcia he's just dog slow there's no other phrase for it aligar he's doing 206es can't even buy a 205 at the moment has been keeping a close on last two or three laps he's been in the 206s just no Pace no confidence whatsoever at for Alig he's only a 10th and a half clear and Marcos Romero is in 15th spot there's a big gap then back to Marcel schroter replacing the injured Dennis onju in the rebel KT Mayo Squad so you do feel that Alig is at least going to hang on for at least a point we're on for with Chelsea lietti we were but right up the road from then binder is now all over the back of Gonzalez he is a tenth of a second behind him so the battle for third is going to engage between Gonzalez and Darren binder chasing a first Moto to Podium but what does Jake Dixon have up his sleeve here if he's got any magic up of those sleeves he'll definitely be delivering it today in front of his home crowd you just know Dixon's going to leave it all out there to claim a home Victory surely he's going to be prepared to risk it second place today surely will not do for Dixon given what he could achieve kette has barely put a wheel wrong so far off ahead of him that's Garcia now trying to take arain ass and getting it all wrong difficult to know where to look in this m two race as the front two continuing to trade 204s it's all kicking off behind them we know we've got a massive South African contingent watching back at home they're going to be doing dances and cartwheels around the living room aren't they at the moment as Darren binder right ining contention here at Silverstone good battle this isn't it between Vietti and theur not for the places or Garcia rather not for the place they were hoping for Garcia back on the inside of the Italian going through into turn three for the first time in a long time Jake Dixon has got the gap down to Aron conect to under two10 of a second we have what five laps remaining here in this British Grand Prix and Jake Dixon still writing contention for the home Victory sideways on the Bosa scor chassi goes Garcia into Brooklyn's yeah will it be a happy homecoming for Jake Dixon or a belated wedding gift for Aaron KET who leads this race and has led it pretty much since the second lap of this race but Dixon is giving him no laps off at the moment in this race and the pace is superb still lapping the pair of them in the 204s they are 7.7 seconds clear of this Battle Royal for the final Podium spot the good news for f Alig fans he's finally got himself back in the high 205 the bad news though he's been picked off by Marcos Ramirez a 14th Place so he's now in that final Point scoring spot at aligar 15th he's the second a lap off the pace 12 laps completed 12.9 seconds he was to start lap 13 a drift of connect aoro was briefly out of the top 10 he's now retaken 10th place from Center R just but yeah gor is going to fall out of the top 10 if this race continues to Trend in the direction that it is Sergio Garcia if you put the flag out now would extend his lead unbelievably from seven to 11 points over aaor to damaging day in the world championship for Joe Roberts and for fer alde but kette and Dixon do not have thoughts of the championship they have thoughts on Brit Grand Prix Glory four of the biggest laps of Jake Dixon's career four of the biggest laps of his live coming his way in front of his home crowd as he comes over the line 2054 connect 2054 Dixon there has been nothing between the top two now and Jake Dixon is what not even a bike length through turn three a drift of kette he's just building and building he's had a good long look behind the Spaniard he'll know the strength and weaknesses of the fantic rider ahead of him when will Jake Dixon if he can decide that will will be his moment to try and take the lead here at Silverstone they drop Anor into Brooklyn yeah the pce has now dropped back into the 205s among this group reminder every rider in the field is on the same soft tire combination both front and rear so there's no tire Advantage certainly in terms of the compound they're running between kect and Dixon Dixon will be hoping at this stage that he might well have been able to keep a little bit more in reserve running up behind kect that he can use in these final three and a half laps you can see on the left hand side of your screens on board with Sergio Garcia he's looking directly at Darren binda fifth place at the moment just under a tenth of a second now Garcia it's going through on bindo left Garcia finishes on the podium from here that would be one of the rides of the Season remember he came from 18th to the podium back in Qatar technically it's 16th to the podium this afternoon but he's found himself a lot lower than that Halfway Around the first lap just looking out of our comy box position at the British crowd who are just well whether they're sitting or standing they just look so ner so tense they know the magnitude of this victory for Jake Dixon who had a bit of a Twix there as he got on the brakes going into sto Corner har canett has put up a superb defensive ride so far having dispensed of vagur very very early on in this Grand Prix it's been fantastic for the fantic rider but he just cannot break Dixon there's going to be three laps to go of this British Grand Prix over the line we do go and it's just crept up to over 210 of a second by a whisker the slightly faster Rider on that lap 14 was K Dixon a little bit wide it's been a couple of times the last couple laps of seen Dixon wde just wonder whether he's just running out of a bit of grip on that Peri front tire yeah every time he comes across the star Finish Line he'll be able to see and hear the British crowd roaring him on this is the battle for the final Podium position then Gonzalez still with that crucial few tents in hand over Sergio Garcia that mistake for Dixon incidentally cost him 3/1 of a second ket's lead is up to half a second through the first check point on this lap yeah fair play to kette because it's him it's his Pace it's his Relentless speed and consistency but is just pushing Dixon into those mistakes Dixon on a knife edge at the moment second place will still be a phenomenal result but he wants he's so close to that British Grand Prix success this is's a pretty entertaining battle raging for the final PL on the podium it's in the hands of Gonzalez right now Garcia is up into fourth beti fifth Darren Bender still on course for a superb sixth place AR Rass is started to lose touch in seventh Aur is now behind F me Alig so Al has rallied lat on he's now doing 2053 Aura was doing 206 SS on the last lap so Aura is down into 13th position one behind aligar three or four laps so in that Ground Prix aligar was doing 206 1s 206 2s and all of a sudden he's just found nearly a second a late Blitz in Britain for aligar nowhere near good enough though a damaging day for his championship aspirations and nobody will know that more than the rider on the 54 just moving out the Bott of screens Sergio Garcia though has been nothing short of Sensational here at Silverstone having dropped all the way to the back of the field started 16th he was what 24th in the first lap and he is now remarkably on course for the podium here this is why Sergio Garcia is leading the mother two World Championship in 2024 Jake Dixon's not done with this yet he quickly rebounded after that mistake into Abby on the first corner of that recent lap and Clos the Gap back down again he was actually over the full course the full lap quicker than KET last time around Dixon is not done yet British fans have you got any nails left watching Trackside and at home there's been only three brick winners here at Silverstone Danny Kent in Moto 3 in 2015 Scott ring in Moto 2 back in 2013 and all the way back in 1986 Ian mccon on the tiddlers 8cc bikes but Jake Dixon is going all in here isn't he you can see on the corner top left on corner of your screens he is still right there hugging connect's rear tire now then Vietti he's going to try and deny Sergio Garcia the stunning comeback Podium really really good battle this isn't it for third place we're on board with the number 13 chisun Vietti so close he could reach out and grab Sergio Garcia's rear tire they power through woodcot lap and a half to go still kette holding off Dixon as the yeti as a proper moment on the gas going through wood coat yeah Gonzalez and binder aren't out of this yet but it is going to be one of this four that finishes on that final Podium position because they've dropped the Arenas aloba Lopez Aus battle further back kect once again he's just able to eek out that 10th or two in the third sector which means that Dixon's not in a position down hanger straight to launch an attack on Aaron kette Dixon's been thinking about this plotting his move for 16 laps now he's got a lap and a quarter to finally figure this out you got to say kect done an absolutely Sterling job to keep Dixon at Bay he's been Flawless he's been faultless hasn't he the Spanish Rider Vietti then does raid on the inside of Garcia going into Stow so that's crucial World Championship points being lost by Garcia you can see the top two riders in this British Grand Prix as we look at Sergio Garcia desperately fight for the podium the last lap is underway then and here goes Jake Dixon he's going all In For the Win here at the British Grand Prix what a move on the inside of Aaron kect going into Abby the first Corner Jake Dixon has he timed this to absolute perfection the British star leads the British Grand Prix with one lap to go Aaron kette was not expecting that that took him completely by surprise to make a move like that into Abby Corner that takes some serious bravery you you think Jake Dixon wants this home Victory or what oh he was just a little bit wide there on the curbs going down the into Brooklyn's what has Aaron kect got left Speedway style sideways goes Jake Dixon he's out by nearly half a second he now goes through lufield the crowd are on their feet they are making a rockus noise here are the British fans Aon kette looks like he's running out of pace here later on Dixon halfway around this final lap turn nine with nine Corners to go and it is the 96 on course for a fairy tale win in front of his home crowd it's all going to come down to these next three corners for Aron this is where he's been winning all of his time throughout much of this gr Prix he needs to absolutely launch that fantic CX into maggots beckets and Chapel to put himself in position to attack down hanger straight you can see him closing in on Dixon has Dixon got enough in hand there was first lap heart take in front of his home crowd here at silveron one year ago for Jake Dixon is it going to be last lap heart take for the British Rider he hugs the white line on the inside of the hanger straight into Stow we go ket's running out of time here he's going to try and lunge he's building for a dramatic final sector attack on Dixon Dixon's going to go Ultra defensive into turn 16 Jake Dixon now two corners away from home Glory from home success don't discount Alan kette though as they come through Club corner and Jake Dixon joins the Brit winning Club in his home Grand Prix Britain's Got Talent Britain's Got Jake Dixon he wins the silverston Grand Prix after a classic last lap battle with Aaron kect chiso Vietti with his personal best laugh on the final lap deny Sergio Garcia a sensational Podium but it is pure unadulterated Delight for Jake Dixon wow what a difference a year makes for Jake Dixon he left his own Grand Prix in tears of Agony one year ago he'll be te tears of a different kind this time tears of joy Jake Dixon the biggest and best day of his his professional life the winner of the British Grand Prix could he stand up to the pressure could he stand up to the expectation well we have just got our answer there is no better feeling there is nothing quite like winning your home Grand Prix and Jake Dixon is now starting to understand just what that feeling is like there are the British fans the Jake Dixon fans who've been out in all weekend they've stood by him through thick and thin this race one year ago there he is the first British Rider to win on home turf since Danny Ken did so in 2015 the very same year that Ken went on to win the motor 3 world title he becomes just the fourth brick winner then here at Silver St the Marshals are Delirious Dixon certainly Delirious what a race brilliant performance Aaron conect one again has to settle for get another second place of course he does have a Grand Prix win to his name but the British fans we celebrating long into the night here at Silverstone as they witness one of their own take the victory in that British Grand Prix here at Silverstone well we know Jake Dixon is a man who wears his heart on his sleeve he never leaves you in any doubt as to how he's feeling but you could see the joy through the visor and was what a move this was probably the last place that Aaron kette would have been expecting a move like that to come from Jake Dixon the skill and The Bravery on show from the Brits in front of his home crowd and he's getting outstanding evation from the thousands at Silverstone here comes the worm celebration he's going to be lapping this up this could be the longest cool down that we've ever seen in Grand Prix history as we celebrate our 75th Anniversary it was a special feeling when Dixon was third here in front of his home crowd in 2022 this will top that anom made his Grand Prix debut in 2
