how to use the brand new searchable drop-down list in excel so in this case i've got factory location and i click the drop down and i've got a whole bunch of cities listed here now instead of trying to sort through all this now i can just click here and type the first letter oh there's all the t ones that's looking for tokyo i can quickly get that right by typing in the drop down list another one i just type h there's all the h cities maybe i'm looking for hong kong oh it's really quick now and i can select that and the way you find the drop-down list in general you create them with data validation on the data tab you go to data validation and you choose list right here and then you choose the source so my source is right down here and i've got a long list
