a Silent Assassin out there just goes to work and guys look up it's deep into the ball game and they haven't been able to scratch anything off of this guy so look for him to do the same thing today maybe Go the Distance maybe hand it over to the bullpen at the end and try to get that W Taylor W stands in here takes ball one low and a good eye there fast ball for a [Applause] strike highfly ball near the pole that one is is foul and a pitch spoils that one and it remains two and two a wi and the pitch still two and two after the foul ball the wind to kick the pitch now a highfly ball out to left Center gets under it brings it in and there's one away all right let's take a look at the Angels Linea one guy leading the way offensively for this club right now Michael stefanic and boo he's their team leader in home run so you know the pitchers on that other side man they took a lot of time preparing for him in that pregame meeting you know he's got a lot of pop and it's real pop it's not fluky at all he can absolutely change the Outlook of a game very quickly so watch out when he steps in Zack in the box with one away as he takes ball one the pitch there's the [Applause] strike the first of many if he meets the goals he set for himself and the expectations others have for him he doesn't want to just win games he wants to dominate at this level do you think think Young pitchers can sometimes get too caught up in try to rack up KS early in their career boo I think they can it's kind of like a hitter that doesn't have power The Thrill is still hitting a ball over the fence and so for a guy even if he doesn't have power stuff or strikeout stuff a strikeout is still something that makes him stick his chest out a little bit further and the one0 right through there been a very dependable starter for his club and what stands out for me is that left-handed hitters have really struggled batting below 200 against him and it just tells me they have hard time tracking the baseball maybe it's the release point maybe it's the motion but just some way somehow they've got to figure out a way to pick it up and try to have some success from the left side the pitch Edward Julien in now takes ball one off the plate he starts him with the fast ball and that's a pitch that's right in his wheelhouse you need to be careful against him with that one the one that one fouled of the Zone one out oh there's a small side of relief right there I mean just to keep that speed off the base pass it's not just the pitcher it's other guys that have to think about it your infielders have to think about that Runner potentially stealing but also be in position to make a play as an outfielder you're thinking about a base hit to the Outfield I got to get to it quickly to try to keep now the lineup for the twins as constructed by Rocko bald Deli singing the numbers tell us this is an offense designed to swing it they're not going to force a ton of action on the bases and so obviously that is one of the focal points that we'll look at and you look at the quality of the abats because of the fact that the legs aren't a part of this game they have to be very selective look for long pitch counts grinding out at bats and really barrels to the baseball because it's a lot easier to jog around the bases than for these guys to Sprint [Applause] that one ripped but foul two the middle to first but it pulls him off the bag that's a play you expect your short stop to make pretty much every time pretty routine hard to tell if he didn't get a great grip on it or the mechanics on him just broke down but that gives this offense an extra out to work with Matt th comes up to hit here looking for his first big league hit right here and pitch in for a strike one and Hitting Zone with two strikes here I love it the pitch Line Drive Bas hit throw back in quickly first and second now with nobody out Matt THS with his first major league hit and this is a moment I'm be aware of with Dixon is the high strike not usually big deal because most players are swinging at pitches up there but we may see some surprise looks from Hitters from time to time because that's just so [Music] unusual could be some action here on this next pitch couple Runners on probably a challenge pitch coming at the belt and fires and here's the strike a little frustrated with the strike hitting approach and that's a great example why right there if he's willing to let that curveball get a little deeper into the Zone before he commits he's way more likely to recognize that it's making a beline for the dirt on the other side still a nice two- strike pitch though this is Willie Castro and it drops in in so a two out not keeps the inning alive Willie Castro with his first major league upstairs he really committed to that fast up at the top of the Zone he knows that if he makes take in the zone and gets hit hard by a power guy like this that's a nice Miss right there pass ball for a strike great RBI spot here just got to stay focused on the pitch the runner will be in motion so something in the Gap should definitely score that one ped up the middle and it gets through so that's interesting though when you consider the way the game has run now doesn't even matter that much if your starter doesn't go that deep because teams are really aggressively building their bullpens
