Tommy how proud are you of the way you played this week to play your way into east league um I'm very happy I think today was uh today was a good day I think it's always um uh it's kind of a good challenge because you know that you you don't need to do anything but you know you know you want to shoot a good score and you know it's kind of um it feels important and it's um like just a nice challenge mentally going out there and and playing when you know you got something on the line so um I was happy with that I felt like it was tough um and yeah played really well and put it well since since obviously like Paris and even probably a little bit before how taxi has this kind of stretch been for you like playing wise your bodywise and just and getting to the end you know how big is that for you um no I feel I feel okay I think um you know at this point in the year I think you start to see you know so many guys starting to get frustrated um and it's you know which is so easy to do and I think um again it's important to sort of have a a good sense of where you are and how you feel and it's um you know when you coming towards the end of anything you're obviously trying to push that bit more and yeah it's been um it's always quite a long season bunched up but um again you want to be there till the end and I think um you know playing in these events is always is always a good thing so I try there's definitely times when you get frustrated and that's showing a bit of like mental tightness if you like but um I felt pretty good and I felt like it's especially this weekend I had a good handle on things cuz last week in Memphis was so frustrating I played unbelievably well and uh I was last in the field in putting and that you know when you play like that you want to capitalize on it and I felt like that was very frustrating knowing where you sit in the in the FedEx Cup um and then this week as well Friday was kind of day where I could have done better um so I felt like I just had to stay with it and uh this weekend sort of got got more out of it you feel all all year um the last I think uh no not quite um honestly I never felt that comfortable at the Olympics with my game um but I played very well uh played well last week this week I've shown a lot of good stuff um but I honestly o overall um aside from there was a stretch in Florida like B Hill and players I was really struggling with my game came back out um for Valero and the Masters and I played very well through that stretch and then I think even the middle of the year said a bunch of times the one thing that's been lacking I haven't had that many amazing results like I had a third in the Masters and a second in the Olympics but everything in the middle I've played some exceptional golf I feel like and I've done so many things well but um like the results have been good but just not the great ones that actually have a massive impact on uh things like the FedEx Cup and the year and things like that so um consistently been very very good very solid um and yeah just the case of being patient I think because there's been a lot of good stuff what have you heard about the changes at East Lake do you know what um finno just said walking down the 18th he said it's 18 new greens like it's a new layout and that was the first I'd heard of it I don't know why or I probably knew at the time last year but yeah I haven't heard anything so that was the first I've heard of it but looking forward to it yeah it'll be a nice uh nice challenge apparently it's quite different like a lot of trees are gone and yeah it'll be some greens have been moved well I'm happy that I get to see it that's for sure tell me you see almost underwhelmed by the fact that you have moved into top 30 is is that because it's something you would have expected of yourself anyway at the start of the year um no I think um J know I uh it's it's a good question yeah I I think I've played well enough to be in a better position uh than what I was in coming into this week but at the same time standard golf's incredibly High I think May making it to East Lake like the difference between East Lake and not is less of a difference than last week and this week if you like so I think uh making it to East Lake is an amazing achievement and um that's somewh that that you aim to be and that's you know it'll be a fantastic end to the PJ season and I look forward to playing next week and trying to get the most out of it um but it you know in terms of the difference it makes this season it's not as huge so I think um you know I want to look at it that way and that was that was one of the targets as well you know you don't want to put as soon as you put too much pressure on yourself for something uh it's the easiest thing to do in the world um you know that becomes harder so I think um downplaying that you know all week and and and stuff has has helped me and um yeah look I'm honestly I'm absolutely made up to have made it I really really am but uh I think I've spent that much time just trying to be calm and downplay it that I'm just uh just try doing the same now were you looking at The Chopping and changing sort not loads cuz there's so much that can change so much that can happen there's so many holes that have so many variables on it so um I was trying not to focus too much on it um but you know the leaderboards are there and you can see um and yeah the closer you get down the stretch easier it is to focus on it but I was trying to just play my game and have a good round and there was a point there after 110 where I felt like if I could get one or two more I'm all of a sudden In Contention so there was the tournament as well to think about would Rory would Rory not have been able to replace his driver today do you know or uh I don't think so I think the little the strong and snap probably that no yeah yeah thanks
