LPGA Monday Q: Low Score Gets to Play on the LPGA Tour!

Intro foreign [Music] I went to my best friend Sarah's house she's not here right now but she's letting me borrow her car shout out to Sarah she is the best person in the entire world Sarah was my teammate in college and he's still my best friend today I wish you'd come back and play pro golf again because she was a stud but right now I'm gonna grab some food some drive through whatever I can find and then I'm gonna head back to the hotel and we'll get ready for our practice run tomorrow okay I worked out I'm gross now I'm gonna do a quick shower and then I'm gonna go pick up some Thai food that I ordered to be ready when I'm done lunch complete now it's time to head over to the golf course we are allowed to do practice walks so you can bet your ass I'm going over there walking that thing back to front hopefully I can get a yardage book too everybody stay calm I Golf Course have arrived at the course look at this oh my God this is cool got me an Irish books grabbed one for Maddie too we're not allowed to play but I'm gonna cut a little bit then walk of course but I'm not allowed to bring like putter or anything so I'm going to show you guys the yardage book and how I strategize a course without getting to play it we're on hold too and this is a good hole to look at from a shot planning perspective so we have a par 3 t-box is behind me and as you can see the green gets its most narrow in between this bunker behind me and another bunker on the other side you can see it a little bit better on my map here so I've written down carry it past this line try to carry it to that star to avoid ending up in either of those bunkers because that bunker is a lot deeper than it looks and it's not somewhere I want to be with this firm of greens so cool fun fact my next tournament after this is the Kathy Whitworth tournament on the women's All Pro Tour unfortunately this course is ridiculously pure which is making it even more painful to have to walk it and not play it trees are just so cool cool thing about tour score cards is they have this visual for the tea showing you how far you can hit it on a line so some holes will have multiple lines this one just has if you hit it 280 you ought to be over there so I have come to Karen Lakes just down the road I need you guys to listen to the sound of these golf balls when I hit them Tee Times okay so they just released the freaking tea times and my dumbass thought that they would have us tee off in the morning because when do they ever not do that and they have a 7 A.M shotgun but it's not us we're not teeing off until three so I'm definitely missing my flight I was hoping to miss it for a different reason Monday cues are great oops I woke Breakfast up we grabbed some breakfast and I'm gonna get a quick activation in before we head to the course in about an hour [Music] thank you excuse me Outro okay so I'm back home in Arizona I went straight from the golf course to my hotel backed all my stuff up and left early the next morning so I'm gonna go over my round with you guys um scores are below I shot 77. I logied the first four holes which is essentially the only thing you don't want to do in one day qualifier um so that really sucked Bogey and honestly the course was in Immaculate conditions I just thought the greens were going to be like lightning and I did not do a good enough job of adjusting so I left a lot of putt shorts after the first four holes I was just kind of going into full send mode I went play aggressively towards every pin ended up pouring every hole until um I don't remember then I made a birdie on I think 16 and then bogey 18 with a three putt so not my day whatsoever but honestly Monday experience overall was very very cool being at the golf course and playing it with the grandstands and the signs and everything is such a cool experience watching the tournament now on TV has been really cool because I saw the whole golf course so I can see where those worlds are hitting from and it's very impressive but they're shooting this week so um minus one ended up being good enough to get in so I've got them one day again in Dallas and I'm hoping that I'm uh a little more comfortable this time maybe I get off to a hotter start so wish me luck and I will see you guys in the next one
