On their first date, Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian courted the tennis legend by bringing up a crucial subject: Marvel films. Before the Reddit co-founder made the proposal two years later, Williams—who is regarded as the best female tennis player of all time—met Ohanian for the first time at the 2015 Italian Open. Williams chuckled and mentioned Jill Smoller, her current agent: "What’s up with your girlfriend?" Jill asked him directly. "I don't have a girlfriend," he says. He was claiming that they were no longer together. When he stated that, everything changed for me because I realized that he was no longer acting like a beast. "He started talking about Iron Man and Marvel during dinner, and that's the way to my heart," she continued. It wasn't simply a casual, "Hey, I've watched a few movies," Ohanian recalled. It means, "I have deeply studied the text and I have strong opinions about this lore." ' The fact that they both had the same passion made it extremely fascinating, according to Smoller, who also appears in the documentary series. I thought, "She can finally talk to someone who likes the things that she does," since he was into superheroes, science fiction, and cartoons. During their date, Williams and Ohanian talked about how much they loved science fiction and superheroes, and in early January 2017, they got engaged. The legendary women's tennis player won the Australian Open in that month while expecting their first child.
