hello and welcome to the Buffalo Bulls Dynasty everyone here in season 2 it's been a really difficult year and we're running out of chances to at least do better than we did a year ago when we were three and nine at 2- six with four straight losses do we have two more wins on the schedule Ball State is our next opponent a team that I believe won two games back in year 1 but they've already gotten five this year and when I took a look at their defense I knew exactly how we were going to approach this matchup they don't have a great front four and although our running game hasn't been dominant this year I felt like this could be the matchup that we've been waiting for chance Morrow has been the standout playmaker for us this season when last year he and Spurling had been great together but Sperling had a much quieter season the defense had some good moments in our last game against Toledo it's a little something to build upon and we're looking forward to hopefully adding on to this recruiting class again soon as a number of these battles for three star players are still in our favor but let's get on to our ninth Game of the Year just four games to go we need some positives to build upon as we look ahead to the Future in season 3 so on the road against B State let's get this game underway and the offense is up first Messiah Burch handles the return He dashes to the 20 and is stopped there as gunar gray leads the offense out 15 touchdown passes and nine interceptions been more pass heavy this year than I would have liked but the Bulls are going to open they run it with Lamar Sperling and he's able to find about nine yds on this play he's been under four yards that carry all season but his first two rushes have great success and he's out to the 41 two for 20 as the day opens Sperling out Henderson in third straight run and he gets three buffalo coming out making no mistake what their goal is establish the run and try to overpower this defense Dingle now in the game third and two and he rushes ahead for the first down as Buffalo has yet to throw a pass another one for the rookie freshman rather Leon Dingle no gain on the play so now it's time to throw gunar gray facing the blitz on his first drop back and the throw is too late for Quinton Pard and the initially impressive possession will end with a Travis KC boots and the Freshman kicks it away it'll go out of bounds inside the 20 a look now at the ball State offense led by Kaden sanza the quarterback and from the 16 it'll start with a run on the second effort finding some space it's a gain of six for Horton split back field on second down another run missed Tackle by Buffalo and falling ahead it's a first down for Davis carrying left Running Room first down maybe they have the same game plan as us today at their own 44 sanza hands off and the tackle is made that's Jakari Bennett that forces third down buffalo showing pressure and they get to the quarterback and the pass is incomplete nice sequence for the defense Buffalo coming back out a little swing screen now Sperling in open field has first down yardage gain of 11 I've been wanting to see more out of these running backs all season long this is Sperling he cuts it right good start with five rushes for 34 yards already hand off Henderson and it does seem like the changes we've made along the offensive line have boosted the Run blocking the last couple weeks Sperling hit down this time Ball State reading that one better eventually the though you're going to have to make some key passes third and six gray keeping Spurling in to protect and the pass is caught Nick McMillan first down first quarter winding down and still no score here is Spurling through the middle they're getting a strong push inside that's nine and they're going to hit the gas here look for one more run before the end of the quarter and Sperling looking to break it outside as hell to seven that's his best quarter I'd say all season long and that was the identity I wanted this team to have we just haven't had the talent level to do this regularly it's a screen caught by par he turns it up and he's got the touchdown Quinton Pard The Freshman has really come on strong for us this year before this season I really didn't think much of him I wasn't familiar with his game Ball State football there down 7 nothing sanza off the fake he is intercepted and it's Nolan Zigler he's been making more plays lately very busy against the run but here patrolling the middle just catches one right to him and right back on the field is this Buffalo offense behind the sticks here and gunar gray over the middle hooks up with Mitch vivano third down and seven coming up got to beat press coverage gray well protected passes caught by chance Morrow really good job by the offensive line not just in the running game here early now dingles in he carries and gets maybe one Buffalo has to get inside the seven on this play Third Down Gray's going to run he's going to try to get the first down he wants that third Victory and Powers through three wide Buffalo and gray stepping up his met and he is dropped knocks him back to the 15 here for third and goal and the Bulls go empty out of the pocket and under duress gray lost the ball jumps back on it heads up play and they're going to have to bring on Reed now for a field goal 30 4 yds left hash Reed puts it up and the kick is wide left and no good it is so tough to kick from the hashes Miss chance off of the Zigler interception Ball State football they'll run left and run into Junior poiser Tackle for loss third down Ball State needs nine and right at the marker they have an open receiver haed in this has been a pretty quick first half with the clock continually moving now a nice play working up field this is going to be Justin bowick with a nice catch and run two and a half to go in the second quarter and pulling it back you've got sanza spinning away Ball State first down they're looking for their first scoring chance two minutes to go now and the screen set up they've got some blocking Escaping The Pursuit and down to the 26 is Christian Davis single high look out of Buffalo sanza plenty of time and caught down to the 11 Buffalo still with two timeouts remaining it is a fake sanza to the end zone and that is caught for the touchdown Ball State Works down the field and they tie things up it's Jeffrey Simmons and it's seven AP piece 53 to go here in the first half low scoring maxtion here in week 10 passes Off the Mark for Quinton paard gray just missed him over throwing it on second down a better bow delivered the chance Morrow out of bounds with a gain of seven only 45 seconds to go and they do run it here successfully with Dingle and Leon Dingle is favoring his lower back at the end of this run the Freshman brings it out to the 45 he will exit 35 to go gray throws and McMillan cannot hold on they have missed some chances today in the passing game brings up third and 10 good protection and a spinning grab by Pard he's become a really reliable third down option which you need to be as that third receiver first down now and no stopping that interior penetration gray is dropped and that might throw off this entire chance at points third and long and gray gets hit again that is incomplete it's been tough to find points here in the first half and at the half it is 7-7 we've seen that rushing identity the Bulls have been searching for you know it's good to finally execute our plan in the ninth game of the year but there's no area this team strong enough to carry we need to play complimentary football if we're to win any more games and we still have a lot of work to do here in this week as ball State's going to open offensively in the second half split backfield and on first down it's a fake and sanza is picked off again and it's Dion Crawford second time just trying to go over the middle and telegraphing it and the Bulls don't drop him this week first and 10 hand off Sperling it's a gain of five he's over five yards a carry gets it again and following a dominant block of Matt pust has the first down whoa what is this Eric Pacho the fresh is in and Peko dumps it off it's vivano running it down to the five so Buffalo has brought in the true freshman who is Red shirted he appeared earlier in the Miami game Pacho he pulls it back and runs around the edge to get the touchdown and the Bulls have taken the lead once again hey you had to think if this was going to be a run heavy day for the Bulls we could see a Eric Pacho 147 let's hope we can keep this up as Zigler Stuffs the run we're actually containing the run really well today as it's Crawford now on the tackle setting up Third Down single high look again and the pass over the middle is Holden and that's caught by Ken magwood who had a good game against us last last year first and 10 low throw behind the receiver had a chance neither quarterback has been particularly sharp and on third down it's aired out and knocked Away by Savon Brown a lot to like about the way Buffalo's playing today and this is going to be Spurling into the open field a first down to start the drive and he falls ahead we have to wonder if he can handle this level of punishment he's out of the game here with Henderson checking in and it's a screen pass and now Henderson's in the open field makes a move inside and taken down at the 32 the running backs have really shined in today's game Henderson staying in and this time he is bottled up only a short gain setting up third down don't want to take a sack in this area it's third and seven dumped off Dingle he's taken down shy of the marker and it's Fourth and two and it appears they're going to stay on the field gunar gray in the shotgun hands off Henderson can't get there and Ball State turns us away big stop on fourth down Cardinals football inside give and finally some day light and a nice run for Christian Davis with the receiver in motion a jet touch pass and that's good for a first down cards to the 48 two deep safeties now for the Bulls on second down and that is open turning it up for a big gain and down to the 25 and the Cardinals now want to pick up the tempo sweeping to the right side and pass Zigler nice Tackle by macarin after a 5yd pickup third quarter starting to wind down as that is open caught and down inside the five as Ball State eyes tying this up go to go handoff diving in touchdown Ball State another good answer and we are tied 14 a piece there aren't going to be any easy wins this year for Buffalo You've Really Got To Earn wins Leon Dingle sweeps outside he makes a move good start to this drive and they're still holding out Sperling it looks like he's touched the ball a lot now Pard on the screen and a quick seven yards going his way Eric Pacho number two is back in the game and Dingle Falls ahead very close to a first down as we'll make our way way into the fourth quarter Buffalo eyeing the end of this losing streak it's Gunner gray sneaking for the first down but they want to take the lead here poo he's back in and he's going to fake rolling left he has open receivers but decides to keep it and Pacho is down to the 25 he's got wheels and shows them off there the Freshman making an impact he's out of the game Gray back in quick hitter McMillan to the 10 can Buffalo put this one in the end zone as well Pacho returns Dingle with a cut and a gain of three we know the kicking game hasn't been super reliable this year gray back in throwing Endzone he's off the Mark had an open man and it's third and seven in motion that's Quinton Pard great out to the right LS it up top and it's caught for the touchdown Mitch Viv Buffalo back in front what a pass he just lofs it up there lets vivano run underneath it and the Bulls lead for the third time in this game and I have been impressed with the play of this defense but can they close it out fourth quarter def defense is a different Challenge and Ball State rips off an 18yd run hasn't been a big day rushing second down and seven the pass holded in and already working their way into field goal range the Cardinals are soaring five to go in the game and sanza connects short and again it is caught by Bock 24 yd line play fake sanza downfield coming back for it and caught inside the 10 Ball State makes it goal to go sanza steps up and runs it in himself what an answer for the Cardinals one of the best drives all day for either team Buffalo scores Ball State there to answer three separate times 340 left to go in the game Gray over the middle and incomplete McMillan has had an issue dropping the ball today third and 10 pressure arriving and gray is sacked if he had a little more time Sperling was cutting over the middle but the left tackle was beat immediately and this isn't the situation you want to be in 3 minutes left to go and now the defense has to keep this game tied and Ball State as great field position first and 10 The Run is stucked poer and Evans combined that time that was awesome on second down another run and again stuffing at his Junior poiser big plays backto back can Buffalo get off the field sanza scans on third down hesitates and is sacked for the first time in this game what a drive for the Buffalo defense under two minutes to go pass batted down on the RPO Buffalo at their own 31 gray has time and dumps it off here's Spurling cuts it outside Sprints across the 50 Big Catch and run and buffalo is now close to field goal range 136 to go a screen for Morrow and a short gain clock running down to a minute 18 gray over the middle and Morrow can't hold on to it big spot now on third down Bol State trying to end the drive good protection and wide open he dropped it right through the hands of vivano and this would have easily put them in field goal range Mitch vivano with a crucial drop top that's going to end this possession punt by KY and fair caught at the 15 there's still time for the Cardinals to get in range sanza protection now bal's outside he's sacked coverage sack for Buffalo third and six it's a run and it goes nowhere again Buffalo's run defense playing their best here when it matters most 50 seconds to go McMillan handles the return and can't spin away so can they get in field goal range this time L clock winding down it's gray fires a laser it's caught by morrow at Midfield sprinting to the line they do have one timeout remaining gray throwing checks it down way behind the line for Sperling and that's a loss of nine that might as well be a sack second down into Morrow's hands again good recovery it's third down and the timeout is called again trying to get in field goal range play clock down to three gray Under Pressure that is incomplete and maybe a good thing there he took some contact and didn't get the clean pass up off KY boots it again nobody can break through here late that is inbounds and return beyond the 20 but unless there's a big play it looks like we're going to OT running is Ball State it is a gain of four and we are headed back to overtime this week 21 a piece Buffalo has won an overtime game earlier this season and they have currently lost their last four games it's been a more difficult year than I think anybody expected but Buffalo will start overtime on defense and we'll see what Ball State can do from the 25 and running right at Zigler on the Stop and our R defense has been at their best today fake from sanza dumps it out to the tight end and rallying downhill that is Zigler again and it sets up third down Ball State going to keep it on the ground and in there to make the tackle is Savon Brown saving the first down and that's going to bring on the kick team for Ball State and that is right down the middle so a touchdown wins it for Buffalo a field goal and we play on Mar Sperling is in at running back he carries on first down and is smothered after a short gain gray hands off Sperling can't out run the pursuit and it's third down so if they can't make this conversion they're going to have to look for a field goal try third and seven gray has time and fires a pass in Morrow and it's goal to go Buffalo they're only two yards away under Center Dingle the running back nowhere to go on this carry they line up again same formation Dingle he's in for the touchdown Buffalo wins the losing streak and they defeat B State and overtime number three on the year and they really had to earn this one what a satisfying win for the Buffalo Bulls one of their best games all year they've won two close games already this season but this was a much more promising game from the defense and we played offense the way we want to not the way we have to but it shows just how many things have to go right we won the turnover battle today two to nothing we had our best day of run defense and our best day arguably running the football but it still took overtime and was that close It's a Grind with this team I love it I mean this is why you go and pick a onear program that you turn into a zero star program and build that's what it's all about we had to pull out all the stops in this one I mean Eric Pacho had one of his red shirt eligible games used to help us get the win and I think that his plays today were pretty crucial ones I believe he'll have two more eligible games still this year and I'll try to use those strategically so he still maintains the red shirt status gunar gray 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions as Lamar Sperling is now up to 3.9 yards per carry chance Morrow continues to be our top receiver his production close to eclipsing last year's and also Quinton paard is already our second leading receiver one guy who I think had an awesome game today is Junior poiser and Desai been getting us in better alignments and more mindful of the line in general Junior poiser has been in position to make plays and he's still a very raw developing player but today he really made a difference it's so much easier when there is a big nose tackle in the middle that can occupy blocks and occasionally get off those blocks to make a play so we don't get any new players this week in the recruiting class but here's what we got right now is we're going to Hard Sell for Graham tangelo as it is a good fit with him coming to Buffalo so we're still maxing out the linebacker from the Bronx in that tough battle against Yukon Jalil Callaway has usus in first so does Shawn prochet now we could set up visits for some of these players but I'm not going to do it unless the battle is actually tight so in this case with Logan clink scale he might get a visit in one of the next weeks I didn't spend the points here in this round as I'm still scouting and the position of focus here was safety this is just the position on the team we need to just get players there we only have six safeties on the team two of them are seniors and two of them are Juniors so we just need some guys that can develop into future starters or this could become a big problem area I hope to get a couple safeties in this class even if they are lower star players so now that we got our third win on the season we have matched last year's win total is there one one more win out there on the schedule for us to raise the bar after another year of Buffalo Bulls Dynasty Kent State is next they are the only team we're going to face now the rest of the way that has a losing record I think similarly this is a really good matchup for us to establish the run their top defensive tackle is injured they don't have a great front seven anyway expect to see a very similar game plan I am looking for good times to bring in Kevin kust but he only has two eligible games left I would prefer those to be more pass heavy games I don't know that next week is going to be that we're probably going to see Pacheko play in that game as well at least a little bit in the pistol I thought today I used him just the right amount very situational got to use his legs and let him make plays Buffalo now three and six still time to build this program forward and maybe one more win
