cap capacity to capture more light can allow us to see objects from greater distances away normally I give my students instructions to search for specific Celestial body have them calculate how many Lighty years away it is and then they map it on a star chart over the course of a year but you don't have to worry about that I see what the [ __ ] is she saying the first thing you might have noticed moving with the roof we can view east west north and south skies and we can use the compass as well to tell which direction which and look on the table over there and look on the table over there a star chart maps every direction of the sky at once in a circular map okay I wonder if this doesn't have a lot seems a bit empty because you know it's the early 1900s oh I don't know you think it' be quite a bit mapped out where's the Big Dipper well there's a kite well they have Leo and stuff on here oh there's the Dipper or some major and you can turn it different directions to see which direction of the night sky you're staring at when I studied at the University on the East Coast we captured the these movements of the Stars through the year on a glass photo on glass photo plates but
