Rachel linday from the Buffalo News here the University of Buffalo football team held its first inter Squad scrimmage Saturday and got their first live rups in a hurry up not huddle offense that's being installed prior to the season opener August 29th against Lafayette the Bulls primarily utilize three quarterbacks CJ Agana Jack Shields and gunar gray Agana primarily worked out with the first team offense and he seemed to be in the most control of the offense uh it's an offense the hurry up high Tempo offense if you blink you miss a play he had a very good ability to Pace it gunar gray had the ability to show that he could throw the long passes but one of the issues where Yu really needs to cultivate some more depth and some more reps is at wide receiver a defensive standout was linebacker red Murdoch primarily teamed with Shawn dolak the West Second sen East graduate on the first team defense Murdoch intercepted a pass by CJ Agana and he also recovered a fumble for a long return but that play was waved off due to a penalty however uh first year coach Pete LMO still called UB a work in progress ress across the board and he wants his team to continue to cultivate a sense of urgency in taking on and learning and embracing that new offense and there's a lot to learn in it uh with the scrimmage Saturday night UB completed a week of night practices and they refer return to the field at 1:50 PM Monday out at UB stadium and again they open the season August 29th against Lafayette uh that is 19 18 if you're watching this on a Sunday morning 18 days away so again uh the sense of urgency is very very important right now again Rachel Lindsay for the Buffalo News follow us at buffalonews.com [Music] [Music] see
