during college break California PhD candidate has been arrested after the infant's son a close friend entrusted to her care wound up de a d deleted J unfolding shortly after his twin brother was rested the hospital with an injury also allegedly sustained while the college student babysat then Nicole ver or ver Z is charged with the murder of a six and a half week old uh Leon Catz at his home in Pittsburgh uh police alleged she is responsible for inflicting a fracture to his skull and several bleeds on the brain picked up by a CT scan pit Pittsburgh's uh WTA report Nicole has denied any wrongdoing and her lawyer m dains her innocence our client denies his allegations she is a loving person and a friend to these people and would never harm anyone's child let alone theirs take a look doctors who treated cats said his injuries were not accidental ver attorney David shager disagrees our client was uh thrust quickly into a role of having to babysit a small child and an accident occurred and that child died and UNT Ely accidents do happen and it's a sad thing it's an awful thing but it doesn't mean that someone's culpable according to the criminal complaint the reason ver was watching Leon cats Saturday night was because his parents had to rush his twin brother to the hospital for an injury to his genital area after being in ver care earlier that day Cat's twin brother was
