Floyd Mayweather: Marriages, 4 children, Net Worth, Age, Height, Boxing career, House & Bio 2024

Floyd Mayweather was born Floyd Joy Sinclair on  February 24, 1977, in Grand Rapids, Michigan,   into a family of boxers. His father, Floyd  Mayweather Sr., is a former welterweight contender   who fought Hall of Famer Sugar Ray Leonard.  His uncles Jeff and the late Roger Mayweather   were professional boxers, with the latter—Floyd's  former trainer—winning two world championships,   as well as fighting Hall of Famers Julio César  Chávez, Pernell Whitaker, and Kostya Tszyu. He   attended Ottawa Hills High School before dropping  out. Boxing has been a part of Mayweather's   life since his childhood and he never seriously  considered any other profession. During the 1980s,   Mayweather lived in the Hiram Square neighborhood  of New Brunswick, New Jersey, where his mother had   relatives. It was common for the young Mayweather  to come home from school and find used heroin   needles in his front yard. His mother was addicted  to drugs, and he had an aunt who died from AIDS   because of her drug use. The most time that his  father spent with him was taking him to the gym   to train and work on his boxing, according to  Mayweather. He is an American boxing promoter and   former professional boxer who competed between  1996 and 2017. He retired with an undefeated   record and won 15 major world championships from  super featherweight to light middleweight. This   includes the Ring magazine title in three weight  classes and the lineal championship in four weight   classes (twice at welterweight). As an amateur, he  won a bronze medal in the featherweight division   at the 1996 Olympics, three U.S. Golden Gloves  championships (at light flyweight, flyweight,   and featherweight), and the U.S. national  championship at featherweight. Mayweather was   named "Fighter of the Decade" for the 2010s by the  Boxing Writers Association of America, a two-time   winner of The Ring magazine's Fighter of the Year  award (1998 and 2007), a three-time winner of the   BWAA Fighter of the Year award (2007, 2013, and  2015), and a six-time winner of the Best Fighter   ESPY Award (2007–2010, 2012–2014). In 2016 ESPN  ranked him the greatest boxer, pound for pound,   of the last 25 years. As of May 2023, BoxRec  ranks him the second greatest boxer of all time,   pound for pound. Many sporting news and boxing  websites, including The Ring, Sports Illustrated,   ESPN, BoxRec, Fox Sports, and Yahoo! Sports,  ranked Mayweather as the best pound-for-pound   boxer in the world twice in a span of ten  years. Mayweather is the most accurate puncher   among professional boxers, having the highest  plus–minus ratio in recorded boxing history. He   has a tied record of 26 consecutive wins in world  title fights, 23 wins in lineal title fights, 24   wins against former or current world titlists, 12  wins against former or current lineal champions,   and 5 wins against International Boxing Hall  of Fame inductees. He was inducted into the   International Boxing Hall of Fame in the class  of 2021. Mayweather is one of the most lucrative   pay-per-view attractions of all time, in any  sport. He topped the Forbes and Sports Illustrated   lists of the 50 highest-paid athletes of 2012 and  2013, and the Forbes list again in both 2014 and   2015, as the highest-paid athlete in the world. In  2006, he founded his own boxing promotional firm,   Mayweather Promotions, after leaving Bob Arum's  Top Rank. He has generated approximately 24   million PPV buys and $1.67 billion in  revenue throughout his career. In 2018,   he was the highest-paid athlete in the world,  with total earnings, including endorsements,   of $285 million according to Forbes. In November,  2021, Sportico released an all-time athlete   earnings list, in which Mayweather ranked no. 6 of  all time, totaling to $1.2 billion in his career.   He stands an impressive 5 feet 8 inches and weighs  68 kgs. Based on recent evaluations up until 2024,   Mayweather’s estimated net worth currently  stands at $1.5 billion. About Personal Life:   Floyd Mayweather Jr., has a personal life as  fascinating as his career. He has four children:   Koraun, Iyanna, Zion, and Jirah. Iyanna,  from his relationship with Melissa Brim,   shares a close bond with her father and enjoys  a life of luxury. Zion, an aspiring social media   star, actively collaborates with musicians and  artists, while Jirah, the youngest, has been vocal   about her criticisms of Mayweather on social  media, especially after her mother's passing.   Mayweather is not currently married but has been  in a relationship with Instagram model Gallienne   Nabila since 2019, sparking engagement rumors  with her new diamond ring. He owns the Mayweather   Boxing Club, a boxing gym in Chinatown Plaza in  Las Vegas. He has made significant impact in the   philanthropic world. Through his Floyd Mayweather  Jr. Foundation, he empowers youth by providing   mentorship and educational opportunities,  promotes health and wellness initiatives,   and fosters entrepreneurship to help individuals  build sustainable futures. His generosity is   evident in his charitable donations, including  $200,000 to the Three-Square Food Bank, $255,000   to the Rainbow Dreams Academy Charter School, and  $150,000 to Habitat for Humanity in Las Vegas.   Additionally, he donated $115,000 to the Susan  G. Komen chapter of Southern Nevada. Mayweather's   global impact includes supporting Israel's  emergency medical service, Magen David Adom,   by sending his personal airplane with supplies  for those affected by the October 7 Hamas attacks.  About Professional career: Floyd Mayweather Jr.  made his professional boxing debut on October 11,   1996, defeating Roberto Apodaca via second-round  TKO. Known for his exceptional defensive skills   and technical prowess, he quickly rose through  the ranks in the super featherweight division.   By 1998, Mayweather had captured his first world  title, the WBC super featherweight championship,   after defeating Genaro Hernandez. This victory  marked the beginning of a dominant reign that   would see Mayweather undefeated for the entirety  of his professional career. In 2000, he moved   up to the lightweight division and continued his  winning streak, securing victories against notable   opponents such as Emanuel Augustus and Jose Luis  Castillo. His first bout with Castillo in 2002   was contentious, with Mayweather winning a close  unanimous decision. The rematch later that year   saw him decisively outbox Castillo to retain his  title. His move to the light welterweight division   in 2005 saw him face Arturo Gatti for the WBC  title. He put on a masterclass performance,   overwhelming Gatti with his speed and accuracy,  resulting in a sixth-round TKO victory. This   fight showcased his ability to dominate larger  opponents with his technical skills. In 2007,   Mayweather stepped away from boxing temporarily,  announcing his retirement after defeating Ricky   Hatton in a highly anticipated bout that ended  with a tenth-round TKO. Despite his retirement,   Mayweather remained a prominent figure in  the sport, often teasing potential comebacks.   He returned to the ring in 2009, facing Juan  Manuel Marquez in a catchweight bout. his return   was triumphant, as he showcased his trademark  defensive style and sharp counterpunching, winning   a unanimous decision over Marquez. The following  years saw him continue to assert his dominance in   the welterweight division, defeating Shane Mosley  in 2010 and Victor Ortiz in 2011. The Ortiz fight   was controversial, ending with a fourth-round  knockout after Ortiz had briefly lowered his guard   to apologize for a headbutt. In 2013, He faced  Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in a highly anticipated   bout billed as "The One." Mayweather displayed  his technical superiority throughout the fight,   outboxing Alvarez to win a majority decision and  unify the WBC and WBA light middleweight titles.   The fight broke numerous pay-per-view records,  solidifying his status as boxing's biggest   draw. The most anticipated fight of Mayweather's  career came on May 2, 2015, when he faced Manny   Pacquiao in what was billed as the "Fight of the  Century." Mayweather won by unanimous decision,   capturing the WBO welterweight title and  solidifying his legacy. This fight broke numerous   financial records, including the highest-grossing  pay-per-view in history. Following his victory   over Pacquiao, he fought Andre Berto in September  2015, winning by unanimous. With this victory,   Mayweather retired with an impeccable 49-0 record,  tying the undefeated record of Rocky Marciano.   Despite retiring from professional boxing, He  returned in 2017 for a lucrative bout against   UFC superstar Conor McGregor. The fight, dubbed  "The Money Fight," generated immense interest   and revenue. Mayweather dominated McGregor  throughout the bout, eventually stopping   him in the tenth round via TKO to secure his 50th  professional win without a loss. Post-retirement,   He continued to attract attention with  exhibition matches against non-boxers. In 2018,   he faced Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an  exhibition bout in Tokyo, winning by first-round   TKO. His exhibitions against Logan Paul in  2021 and 2022 also garnered significant media   coverage and public interest. Outside the ring,  Mayweather expanded his business ventures and   remained involved in the entertainment industry.  His appearances in WWE, reality TV shows and   endorsements further solidified his status as a  global sports and entertainment icon. About His   House: Floyd Mayweather's Miami Beach mansion is  a true gem! The property was most recently listed   for USD $19.9 million, with Mayweather reportedly  purchasing it for around USD $18 million. This   nine-bedroom, ten-and-a-half-bathroom home spans  three stories and boasts a 5,000-square-foot   rooftop deck with stunning waterfront views of  Biscayne Bay. Inside, you’ll find an indoor movie   theater, a gym, a games room, and an entertainment  area. Plus, it has a private dock for boats up to   100 feet and parking for 10 cars. In addition to  this luxurious residence, Mayweather also owns a   $25 million mansion in Los Angeles, featuring a  candy shop, a 12-seat cinema, and a wine rack.   Furthermore, his Las Vegas compound includes  a 16,357-square-foot mansion, two guesthouses,   a pool house, and even a small vineyard.
