College Football 25 | Kansas State Dynasty Big 12 Championship Game vs. UCF (Live Commentary)

what's going on guys welcome back to the Kansas State Dynasty before we get into the Big 12 championship game against UCF number two versus number three winner goes gets a first round by in the college football playoff this one's being played at Dallas Cowboy stadium I want to take a look at the other conference Championship games going on uh we have Jacksonville State versus Western Kentucky Toledo versus Central Michigan believe Central Michigan is the uh top group of five team in the bracket we'll take a look at that in just a second Old Dominion Louisiana T Lane who we've played who we played earlier this year against ECU that's a surprise there um Fresno State who is the highest ranked group of five but I don't think they're in there playing Boise State in the Mountain West missou and Georgia for the SEC Virginia Tech and Clemson for the ACC and Oregon in their first year in the Big 10 versus Michigan Michigan did end up beating Ohio State but Ohio State only dropped to number four um so they are obviously still in the hunt for the college football playoff and they're likely in since they don't have a game this week um looking at the bracket yeah Central Michigan is the 12 seed as of right now we'll see what uh how their championship game goes and see if the committee still feels like they are the best group of five School deserve it of the college football playoff um the winner of our game Kansas State and UCF um if we win we make may still if we lose we may still get that five seed I would expect Ohio State to get the five seed regardless uh and we would drop to the six or even the seven uh UCF I think they're in regardless they would probably drop you know 7 89 10 anywhere to 11 really um but hopefully we can pull out a win and win a big 12 Championship uh be our third Big 12 championship in school history but let's go ahead and jump into the game and um let's let's take on the knights um looking I know UCF has some wild uniforms um I have played them in another Dynasty mode and they're pretty pretty sick I don't haven't really played much with the uniforms this year but I know they have they are technically the road team so we'll keep them well I kind of like that with the with the written Knights on the side kind of given Army Vibes but obviously same color same kind of um mascot as well and then there's space u jerseys which are just sick those are those are just dope um but as as the away team we're not going to put them in navy blue well we're going to go with these ones those look good and then our uniforms we'll probably just go standard I don't think we need to go um old school Willie we haven't done this very often um let's actually do that let's since it's a big 12 championship game let's go let's go Willie on the side the Big 12 championship trophy it's one of the cooler trophies I think in college football like conference trophies at least I I don't know all of them but that one's pretty sick Avery Johnson leads the team out onto the field playing in Cowboy stadium this would be a sick game to actually a 10 and there is KJ Jefferson the transfer from Arkansas he's a big body guy he's really good um he's a good college football quarterback for sure definitely has UCF and this is their second year in the Big 12 they're in the championship game and has them up to number three but I don't think they'll be able to claim a national championship this year obviously they didn't go undefeated not sure not sure who they lost to may look at that later but we are going to kick off to UCF Chris tenant sending a deep and you got the Wabash Cannonball going off in the background looking at the stats their offense is really good their offense is really good so we're going to we're going to our defense is going to have to be even better they go empty for the first play of the game I don't know what it is but this just has like this looks like a different kind of vibe flag on the first play it's going to go on UCF for a hold that's going to knock them back 10 yards slot wide receiver chony magwood he's going to knock him back five yards I don't I don't understand that I don't think that's actually the case in college football where it's like where the runner was oh it's 10 yards back from that I'm pretty sure that's not how that works not sure if there's a setting to turn that off or what definitely not how that works got some DDS rallying to the football there stop him for a one yard game um I don't have like a player sheet or anything in front of me so I'm not going to be able to get all the names I just know KJ Jefferson Justice James stops Quick Pass we'll get the names as we go and they're going hurry up I don't understand that either the amount of hurry up that's run in this game granted it's colge fo ball is a little different over the middle and Diving and caught What A Catch found the hole in the cover two right there switching up the play now handing it off good run from RJ har Harvey there continue to go hurry up obviously give it to Harvey again he's got a hole and he's slowed up by Brendan Mt and another cat is able to get there believe that's K barers in the area RV again and this time stop for a short loss and they're going to continue with the hurry up defense really had a shot to get off the field earlier give to Harvey and stop for another short game garver's there on the play third down and six now Knights changing up the play they send Harvey in motion to the right quick pass out and KJ misses his Target this time and UCF is going to be forced to attempt to field goal this is what 48 yards and he missed it wide left not a good start for UCF and the kicker is what's he doing he's throwing a fit after Miss oh well he just got barreled over they kind of got locked up there that was kind of funny to see though kicker is just flop around like a fish after missing that field goal so um cats take the field cat's offense takes the field for the first time DJ GS in the back field new start off giving it to gens and he bounces one to the outside and he's got just enough for a first down good start for the cats see what uh see what we can do with this one UCF looks not quite man defense but we keep it with Johnson and he bounces to the outside and he's able to get a short gain of four looks like L gang was not able to get out there very quickly got it second down and six Johnson in the gun with gens to his right RPO out to Jace Brown he gots his first catch of the game and he's got enough for a first down there solid start from the cats I would say trying to get that quick passing game working we're still going to go to the air on this one this time we were looking for cus and he's able to make the quick pass out and caught good good good to hold on to that one second down in inches the cats could take a shot here give to giddens and he's got another big not big game but he's got enough for the first down up to the 26 cats are driving on First on their first attempt need to need to set the tone especially after that missed field goal by UCF pass out cus Johnson's Under Pressure there way to get that out in time found the open receiver what do we want to do I think I want to keep the ball in the air let's see what kind of coverage they can they'll run on us obviously we're going to stick to the pass we got hit as he throws and incomplete me go to the pistol on this one ready and they're going to stack the Box UCF really anticipating the run we're going to call an audible here we're going to run some play action trying to get them to bite a little bit not a lot out to Swanson and he's got the first down they really were generous with that spot they were ready for the run the play action didn't really do what I had hoped they backed off the The Blitz fairly quickly we give it to giddens and there's a flag down I think I saw a holding there probably yeah on Garrett Oakley knock us pack 10 yards about 10 yards we'll stick to the pistol I don't know if I want to go two tight ends o okay oh no I want to switch this up we're going to we're going to switch it up I didn't even realize where we were on the field first and 16 we go back to giddens he cuts it towards the inside and able to get back towards the 14 to the original line of scrimmage we'll go back to the gun want to go empty just yet we four wide go back to the pass don't need to make a mistake that's what we want to avoid they dropped coverage and we find Jackson on the middle and he's able to get the first down at the five again they're really generous with the spots when it comes close to that marker they're very generous with it we have first and goal we hand it to Edwards and he's trying to get to the outside trying to cut inwards he's able to get three back to the pistol now get our power back on the field inside two yards DJ giddens back there with Johnson we give it to giddens and he Powers forward for a touchdown that's his 11th on the year and K State makes UCF pay for missing that field goal and we're going to get the touchdown first score of the Big 12 Championship great way to start on offense [Music] don't think we've missed a Pat this year maybe one or two but that's just poor that's just poor kicking 6 minutes on that drive and we went 65 yards that's the kind of thing I'm I'm talking about with you know keeping our our defense off the field not that the defense is bad but it does keeps them from scoring points so if we can keep the ball and still put up points and and be a high-powered offense and kill time while we do it I'm all for that that's that's kind of what I what I was meaning by going by game plan UCF second possession they start by giving up to RJ Harvey he makes him he made mallister look dumb on that one made him look silly UCF looks like they're going to be running no huddle pretty much the whole game another jump cut and Harvey's got a lot of room and he's broken free and he's eventually brought down past the 40 yd line man our run defense is usually probably the best part of our defense I would say but uh not not to start the game o another run to Harvey he's got seven on that one defense is going to be gassed if we can't get off the field when we need to Austin Moore getting there in the back field loss of one there third down quick pass out to the tight end he's got blocking up field and he's all the way up to the 10 yd line can't have that short pass works for UCF and now they are in the Red Zone Quick Pass again into screen and it can't be brought down and he's in for a touchdown UCF goes down the field quickly and answers K State's touchdown it's going to be a back and forth game UCF number three no no slouch for sure so it's going to be a tough game um it's going to be a battle really of attrition and if ucf's going to run hurry up our defense may end up being gassed by the time UCF gets down to the red zone so we'll need to to come up big maybe get some pressure on KJ Jefferson though they haven't really had to pass the ball or done anything like that they've been able to run the ball obviously RJ Harvey broke a huge run on that drive yeah they went 84 yards in a in less than a minute and a half so very different styles of offense in this one Edwards also had he had the opening kickoff go back for a touchdown against Iowa state which was huge but this time it's just a Touchback we'll see if we can get one we are inside a stadium Clos Stadium throw an RPO out to Swanson and that was pretty dangerous I'm surprised that wasn't Interceptor that was a bad read but it went to Swanson anyways and we got the first down all that matters made it work we made it work our screen game has not been great this year K KJ Jeff the DJ giddens powerful running up through that giant hole that was created by the offensive line great jump or great cut from where he was at he was able to get a for a big game in Golden Knight's territory now we send cus in motion we give it to him and he breaks to the outside he's got blockers in front he's able to get a good chunk game from there're up inside the 30 yd line now the cats are going a little quick see how this Translate coming up towards the end of the first quarter tied up at seven we got one-on-one coverage and he's hit as he's thrown and it's picked off UCF getting pressure on Johnson hit as he throws we were looking for that one-on-one coverage he had it but couldn't get enough on it as he was hit and UCF making a big play on defense that's the kind of plays that our defense needs to make that's going to those are those are the plays that are going to be the difference in this game I feel like hit as he thrown and just comes up short UCF takes over inside their own 10 see if cat's defense can come up huge here and make a stop but RJ Harvey is just making our Defenders look like they're on States it looked like Payne was going to get him right there at the line or maybe just a short gain but able to make him Miss and he gets the first down end of the first quarter it is 7 to7 so far pretty even on offense yards wise obviously UCF has the big play on defense hopefully our defense can answer and make a big play of their own but we do know that our defense is capable of doing that there's Clifton on the stop they have to commit to the Run game a little bit to keep going towards it good stop there from Parell and they're going to they're not going hurry up now on Third and 12 third and long now this has been our Achilles heel all year long got to get better on third down and they run it they keep it with Harvey and Clifton stays home and Marcus sigle joins in and stops Harvey for a gain of three and they will have to punt first punt of the game for either team Sterling locket obviously still back deep trying to get away unable to so the cats will start at the 41 Johnson and offense back out on the field got to avoid that turnover kittens short gain tried to cut it up field didn't have any [Music] room where do we want to go where do we want to go I have been experimenting with the option the actual option so let's let's see if we can we can try it pitch out to giddens didn't get the blocking out wide we had there was no one past him if we're able to get the the blocking there there's a possibility that he is gone but third down and eight stick with two tight ends may not be the way to go switch up the play thrown as he hit as he thrown again and this time it hits an offensive lineman so it's not intercepted but UCF bringing pressure on the third down big play for them and they're going to get the ball back another punt brought back to the 28 so we're not able to take advantage of the defense making a stop their defense answers KJ Jefferson and the golden knights back out on the field they give to Harvey and we're trying to chase him down and swarming to the football it's Brendan mck and Keenan Garber good play from both of those guys I think it was I think it was Austin more who originally had the contact there that wasn't able to bring him down Quick Pass caught almost picked off from Justice James and that'll be third and long once again not going hurry up going to dial something up um I don't know if I want to back up just a bit I don't want to get beat on and it's intercepted Austin Moore sitting in the center of the field makes a big play there and the cat's get to interception of their own Austin Moore waving to his family up in the stands I hope that's what he's doing because it's still way too early in this game to be wav into the crowd goodbye big play there from the defense that's exactly what we needed third and long no pressure he had he just didn't see it looks like just didn't see Austin mois sitting there the middle of the field got it so i' I'd say back to a pretty even game 5050 right now give to gens on first down and nowhere to go there I'm I'm feeling like I want to take a shot I just haven't had the time to do that just go empty we'll just go empty see what the defense gives us we're going to switch up the play since there's so much space there and Avery Jon's got enough for a first down a lot of space there good call to change the play from Johnson we are in the red zone now going to hit him with a little bit of play action we do like to run on first down so maybe you can get something over the top and Johnson just throws that one away coverage was tight on that play for [Applause] sure still looking to get on the board Johnson has to scramble he's got some room to run and he's knocked out of Bounds at the 10 third down and three from the 10 Dylan Edwards checks in on third down we keep it on the ground we get blocking up front and he's able to get the first down inside the five good good run there we're going to O we're going to try this again we ran it once it didn't really work kind of T actually this may be kind of tough by the go line I think we're going to switch this up I'm F we going a little read option here I think there's a s there's a corner coming off the on the blitz here so we'll just give that to gids and he'll go right up the middle and another touchdown DJ gids his second of the day 12th of the year the cats are going to go up by six seven given we make the extra point don't want to take the want to take those for granted you know kicking has been kind of sus through this season but able to knock it right through and the cats go up by seven 5 minutes just over six minutes to go left in the first [Applause] half didn't think we were going to come in and and dominate the game by any means um I did think we could win this game by double digits two touchdowns 10 but we could also lose this by double dig at the same time so hopefully hopefully the guys came in prepared for for a fight because that's what I think is going to it's going to come down to Harvey gets the carry again and once again stop short last couple drives he has been wrapped up fairly quickly draw given to Harvey he's get a gain of four on that one third down and five I would expect the pass here cats are going to send pressure hopefully we can either get to them or or cause cause a problem Quick Pass and it's incomplete couldn't really tell but knocked had the ball but it was knocked out by I believe that was car I was trying to find the ball so I couldn't see who who the cornerback was so ucf's going to punt again Sterling locket not been able to go anywhere so far T State back out on offense could look to take advantage of this and really really reward the defense for playing well Johnson looking deep and that's Jackson good throw he put that right where he needed to on that one there was a there was a window he had to hit and he hit it and I did it backwards I meant to keep that with Johnson I don't know if he would have uh gone anywhere cuz that safety was was creeping for sure but that was that was meant to uh that was meant to be a Johnson run right there I had it backwards still from from inaa 14 we sent Jace Brown in motion on second and 12 Oh I thought it was a that should have been a fake and that's going to these are the things that are going to cost us my mistakes on these plays I thought that was a a fake so I wasn't even ready for Johnson to have that ball or Jace Brown to have that ball look at Deep again and he's got Jackson The Deep threat he makes a man miss and he's brought down at the 10 good throw over the at top of that corner looks like that corner tried to tried to take that ball out of the air but was unsuccessful the cats are back in the red zone at the 10 Jackson's third catch he's got 62 yards already Edwards in now goes to the counter we go to the run game again and Johnson trying to power through but he gets it to the two I want to kind of keep this formation um Edwards really wants to get that touchdown he was not coming off the field and he's not for this one we give it to him and he is stuffed all right he is not a good idea to keep keep the small back in two-minute warning C Fusion I know what play I don't want to you know have it I don't want to I don't want to leave it to a field goal here Johnson touchdown another rushian touchdown for the cats third rushian touchdown for the team that's Johnson's seventh rushing touchdown we have like I said Incorporated a little bit more quarterback running you know drawn up plays at least for Johnson has scrambled it once but cat are going to go up two touchdowns that's big hopefully maybe we need to get the ball back and put up some points before halftime and really take a commanding lead into halftime and really kind of quiet the UCF fans in [Applause] attendance another Touchback here UCF pretty much needs to do something on offense here didn't mean to hit that button their last two drives have been pretty quick quick pass out gain of seven and they continue hurrying up quick pass again and brought down pretty quickly by Colby mallister clock running as UCF changes the play Oh quick pressure and Jefferson's able to get away and make the throw quick gain of two that could have been a big loss Jordan Allen came in untouched must have been some miscommunication there on the offensive line try to go at it again and Miss Kobe mallister almost had if he was looking he probably could have intercepted that pass for sure and it's another third down for the knights this is one they really really need just over a minute to go in the half punt here could definitely put the cats oh and they're going to get the first down just no pressure KJ had a lot of time there was able to find a hole in the zone a minute and five now they're at the 41 in a little pressure from the right quick pass out and not able to stay in [Applause] bounds second and 10 and UCF goes empty send a little bit of pressure and it's caught quick throw short of the markers will'll have to use a first down uh timeout short of the marker they'll have to use a timeout to stop the clock 56 seconds to go third down and three Harvey back in the back field Jefferson back to pass again and over the middle and it looks like Clifton wanted to but I think he kind of undercut it like that corner did with UCF and was not able to make a play on that ball thought he was going to be able to get a hand up there but no dice and it's a touchdown UCF they're going to stay in this one but we are going to get the ball back with a with about 40 seconds just over 40 seconds left so maybe we can push the ball down field maybe give uh give Edwards a a chance to bring it out the end [Music] zone we are getting the ball to start the second half so don't want to to make too big of a mistake really Le it to if we can get some yards on first down we can decide I it's going to be starting locket and he's going to have to return it and poor blocking they ran into each other but there was no blocking no block animation there uh we are going to go empty on the first play so it's looking like we're going to do something want to see what they they come out in they got two linebackers in and we're going to have to bur a timeout because I took forever to call the play I don't want to back up five yards that doesn't sound like fun uh but we're going to keep the same strategy looks like we may have man coverage with two deep safeties I'm guessing and I tried to go through that hole but I got sucked into that so we're just going to play it safe Johnson gets up okay that was a little scary but we are just going to take this lead into the halftime run some clock they only have one timeout so it doesn't really matter what we do here just get a few yards run the play and take it to halftime I would say it was a a good first half nothing too crazy we did have an interception on both sides we've had good you know balance on offense I think they have a few more yards but we've been trying to keep them off the field because they're running that hurry up so if we can keep their offense off the field and not turn the ball over they can't score points so not that our defense hasn't made stops I think there's two punts and an interception so our defense has played well but our offense just needs to take advantage of those of those stops and put points on the board whether they're touchdowns preferably or fi W's going to take a knee here Edwards I was hoping he was going to get that kickoff before the half but didn't end up working that way do I want to try just keep with what our offense has worked with all year keep it on the ground giving it to gens powerful running five yards eny right there they have been bringing quite a bit of pressure especially on like third down so I may want to keep note of that and maybe try to catch him off a time or two maybe hit him with a screen get Edwards in space Edwards hasn't had a lot of room to run today Brown out the sideline good catch just Bailey got that foot in they are pressing here we'll see I think they may stick with the man or not is he throw we didn't get that one off quick enough that one's on me that was a that was a screen playay did not did not go how I thought it would let's try the option again looks like we may have some we got Jackson and Oakley on the outside hopefully they can and that goes down as an ni complete pass I guess didn't pitch that near in time this is kind of weird play I haven't really run this one before he coming across the middle all over the place and Johnson's under pressure and he goes down he got there fairly quickly so UCF able to stop Kansas State on their first drive kind of kind of getting too cute with it after the after the good pass play maybe need to save those when we're not in a close game maybe save those for a little bit of [Applause] practice good play on first down from UCF KJ scanning and finds a short pass out to I believe that's his tight end it's not showing me any of the players names that that are like the wide receivers it's always it's only showing me Jeffersons UCF switching up the play Jefferson back to pass again over the middle and caught and a huge play for UCF all the way down to the 30 yd line UCF really answering back after going down two touchdowns they could tie it up on this drive defense needs to make a play Harvey in motion quick pass again underneath and that's caught once more Quick Pass game has really [Applause] been the threat with UCF and Harvey hesitates and finds the hole and he's inside the five and brought down at the two he looked like he would be stopped there in the back field but he hesitated for a little bit found the hole and was able to get a huge game and now UCF at the five and inside the five and in for the touchdown that's the backup running back boom know that cuz that's what I can see on the back of the shirt looks like the knights are going to tie this one up great start to the second half for [Music] UCF was they back up R ma first here of the game and it's going to be a touchdown tied up at 21 like I said it's going to be a battle we went up two touchdowns sure but didn't mean UCF was out of it roet getting the return again and he's going to be stopped short of the 20 at the 16 cats are going to have to go quite a bit ways where that's what 86 yards stick with it on the ground we go to the outside with giddens and not a lot of room out there either wasn't any room inside and there wasn't any room to outside it kind of sucks but I feel like we're going to have to beat them through the air I mean our running game has been good but we haven't been able to break that big play oh my I thought I had some room there that corner came out of nowhere third down and short may be a time to break out they are close to the line here this could be a blitz we're going to run a screen on him try to catch him off guard just got to get the ball out we do gens an open field jump Cuts back inside and that's a first down they did send a little bit of pressure there not as much as I thought was coming but all in all it worked I'm happy with it first and 10 from the 32 over the middle Jace Brown probably should got that to him sooner he had a lot of space over the middle but he wasn't exactly my first read on that one second down and four first down almost had a huge hole there wasn't quite kept up there definitely feeling some man coverage here on this RPO it's not swinging out wide to Brown and he's got a lot of room he just has to beat him there's one man that can catch him and no one catches him jce Brown in for the touchdown I thought it was man once that corner backed off it was Jayce Brown to the house big play for the cats offense through the air granted all the work was done by Jace brown but good read by Avery Johnson to get that ball out quickly saw the corner back up as soon as he did get the ball to your playmaker and let him make a play it's his fifth catch now 65 yards that one was I feel like that was plus 50 yards on that one I don't know if that's right anyways the cats answer the knight's touchdown with a touchdown of their own and go back up by seven now Jefferson and the Knights offense have their opportunity and see if the cats can make a play on defense short game there by Harvey over the middle quick again we're just not getting any pressure not able to get any pressure on KJ Jefferson it has been a bit of an issue recently I have had to change up the sliders from the beginning of the Season due to the update so another Quick Pass stopped for a game six passes over the middle man there is short little drag routes I like using them too but man they are killing us right now counter to Harvey and he stopped immediately abzor was there first and garbers finished him off there third down into four likely going to the air once more but we're going to send Quick Pass and it's caught looks like that was an RPL was able to hang onto it while getting hit so that was our that was the risk going over the middle and it's caught for a big play found the hole in the zone once again man just can't make a play on the football that was a tight window Jeff just got that ball into almost went for a touchdown Harvey in motion quick screen Clifton's there to stop Clifton's been a very sure tackler whove really been able to rely on our linebackers Austin Moore and Jake Clifton to to make tackles when we need him that was a big one he give to the backup Boon again and he's in his second carry and his second touchdown on backto back drives and it's going to be a shootout to end this big 12 championship game this one could go down to the wire like I said it could come down to whose defense makes the next play three just over three minutes to go in the third Kansas state is going to get the ball looks like Edward's going to get his first crack at a return oh it looked like he had a little bit of room there tried to go to the outside no dice there I expected I expected a fight for sure was not thinking we were going to come in here and just dominate the number three team in the country giddens for a gain of eight nice start to the drive yeah let's just get this one Johnson running into a group of people trying to break that almost got out of that that could have been a huge play for Avery Johnson it's his seventh carry I think he only had like 60 or something coming into the in like a 110 yards so not not a ton of ton of yards to go with those but pass out to Oakley got some pressure on him but was able to get that ball out before he got hit second down and six minute and a half to go give it to Edwards on the outside kind of didn't have anywhere to go and Len gang again going to drop us back probably 10 yards roughly 10 yards keep saying that but I think it's kind of [Applause] weird bring up second down and nine we go play action Johnson scrambles out to the right tries to throw across his body thought he had Brown there in the middle he was open but he started to run and stop and then ran again um so third down and nine going to try and make a play and the animations got us there Johnson or Edwards trying to get through the crowd wasn't able to find the ball in the air and the K State will be forced to punt and UCF has a chance to take the lead on this drive those the kind of those are the kind of drives you can't have especially given that we had a first down and the holding call brought us all the way back and we weren't able to get first down can't have penalties penalties kill drives it's crazy and linang has probably been our most penalized player this year P State really known for their offensive lineman at least producing NFL caliber offensive lineman given the amount of penalties Ling Gang has I would not uh say he was one of those we finally get to Jefferson and that's Brendan ma for his 15th sack of the [Music] Season big play there definitely definitely in mean and they're not they didn't go hurry up that may be the last play of the third yeah it is so we go to the fourth all tied up at 28 man this one's really going to come down to it winter gets a first round buy offense has been a little bit better yards wise I think it's been pretty pretty even but we'll see we'll see who can make more plays in the end and then Harvey on the draw and he stopped short gain of two so it'll be third and 13 these are man I haven't been this nervous all year really we've been in some tight games trying to he finds the space in the zone again and it's a first down wasn't able to get any pressure on him had time to find Hole In the Zone UCF puts the first down and that time Harvey is just wrapped up swallowed by our defensive line Allen ELO and M all there on the stop they go to Harvey again and sigle there this time going to bring up third down and nine cats get another chance to get off the field fake Quick Pass and knocked away Keenan Garver got up there and knocked that ball away and UCF is going to be forced to punt they're going to try and play the the field position game but it looks like he kicked it to the wrong side of the field and that's going to be a Touchback so cats will take over at the 20 would see much pistol in this G so let's run some pistol liking this one so we're going to switch it up go play action going away from Johnson thrown across his body had a man but probably not the best play call there forc him Johnson to throw not not normal Johnson looking for single coverage he's got Jackson deep and it's caught by Jaden Jackson our deep threat huge play for the cats we don't take a lot of deep shots but when we have Jaden Jackson in single coverage he's faster than most Corners he was able to beat the corner on that one great throw from Johnson had just enough time pressure was just getting to it just got to him was able to get everything on that this time the Cor cornerback almost was able to make a play on the ball but Jackson came down with it didn't allow the cornerback to bring him down and the cats go up in the fourth quarter and for some reason we're shining the shoes of the offens [Applause] L great Play From The Catch we don't we don't pride ourselves on our deep shots but I will admit Avery Johnson can throw a pretty good deep ball we've seen it a couple times this year John and Jackson definitely over 100 yards now receiving two big plays in the second half give us two touchdowns go through the air and UCF and they're going to answer immediately and they're going to take the kickoff back for a touchdown so it literally negates that big play and the momentum it gained UCF takes it to the really need there we go I was like I'm not sure why they stay in their Lane for that long like go to the P returner we're not getting it to the end zone like get to the pter given to Harvey on First and 10 gain of four back to the hurry up seven and a half to go now pass over the middle it's caught by the tight end and a big game there all the way up to the 44 yd line big play for UCF Quick Pass caught and short of the first down cister brings him down I haven't seen any deep shots from Jefferson don't really expect to give to Harvey kind of stops him in his track but he's able to get up past the first down marker fake to Harvey and they take a deep shot this time and he's able to Xavier Townsen able to step in front of Parish a big play for UCF puts him down at the four yd line and the Knights they give to Harvey and it's a touchdown UCF grabs the lead believe that's the first lead they've had today and they're going to go up by seven man defense is really letting us down here late here in the fourth just over 6 minutes to [Music] [Applause] go UCF looking for their first Big 12 Championship granted this is only their second year so it's impressive alone that they're even at this point not going to bring this one out just going to going to take it we haven't had much success on the returns other than the last one K State needs to answer here some points fuel goal touchdown something we're going to keep it on the ground with Johnson tries to cut it up field does and is able to get four not the not the best plays I we are down but we do have a little bit of time and we don't want to we're not in a stage where we need to force it just yet we could still play play our game and leave it at that but may have to do something soon we can't can't make a play pressure hit as he's thrown nowhere to go on that one third and six looking to make a play Johnson and it's knocked away could knock it away from that D end and K A will have to punt there's no going goes over 150 and they're continuing running hurry up they are up by seven with under five minutes to go on the fourth and they're not going to run clock at all they are sticking to their game plan and running hurry up that makes zero sense to him Quick Pass and it's broken up by Justice James good play there third down and one I wouldn't expect a pass but who knows they send the receiver in motion they fake it to him they give it to Harvey and a pancake block there VJ pay not able to wrap him up Clifton knocks Harvey out of bounds but they do get the first down and they are on on in K State territory brings a little bit of pressure they go over the middle and it's caught and they're up near the 20 yd line KJ Jefferson approaching 400 yds passing UCF offenses just are able to do whatever they want in this second half they scored 14 points in the first half they scored 21 and then had the kickoff return for a touchdown and a huge hole of the outside sigle saves a touchdown man he sent a blitz up the middle they run it to the outside not able to bring it in and touch down RJ Harvey and UCF is up two touchdowns late in the fourth quarter this is not looking good for the cats got to make plays now got to make some plays and we got to make them [Applause] quickly UCF all the control since they brought that that touchdown back on the kick return maybe we can do the same here Sterling had some more room and broke it past the 30 but no no dice on that one still a good good start good starting field position for the offense some serious coverage there on the left over the middle that's caught by Kean Johnson haven't seen a lot of him this year almost didn't even get that ball off had some pressure just over three minutes to go they run a draw they give to giddens and he just not able to go anywhere I don't know if we're going to be able to run the ball at all anymore it may be maybe done with our running game down two touchdowns we need we need some plays and we need fast round to the outside and it's caught almost thre that one a little too early I think for the comeback route but we were able to get a completion there see if we can get a play off before two-minute warning we are looking to go deep here Johnson really didn't have anywhere to go tried to had a bit of room to run but it was immediately closed down but 2 minutes to go here cats are down by two scores this is going to be this is going to be a tough fight challenging to say the least his he's thrown again we just have no time in this second half to throw the ball either hasn't been easy on the UCF defense has not made it easy on us by any means 25 we haven't really been put in this situation all year we find jaay Brown over the middle and he's got a big game he's up inside the 30 ydd line and what was that Dylan Edwards out in the back out there I had him for a brief second couldn't get the ball to him second and 10 a minute 44 go here in the game cat still down by scores over the middle Kean Johnson again able to get the first down and they're going to go hurry up quick pass and it's knocked out suus I thought he was going to cut in on that definitely was reading uh reading slant given the defense but he did not we're just going to have him run the SL we going to give him the option sl's not there we're going to run and stop and we're going to take our first timeout it is going to be that may have been a mistake now that I think about it Prett much a first down kind of ends it for though we may have to just attempt an outside kick best iow state did complete an onside kick in the last game Chase Brown trying to get to the outside and he's not able to get there we're going to have to run back to the line fourth and goal this is pretty much the game we have to have this Johnson throws and it's incomplete and [Music] UCF all they have to do is get a first down and this one's probably over they give to Harvey and he's got the first down cats to take their first time out and all they have to do is take a knee and UCF is going to do big 12 [Applause] Champions oh that's that's really demoralizing for the season we had we were 11 and one into the Big 12 championship game and lose it to ECF ECF is going to get the first round by hopefully we still make it into the playoff I think we will but man that's that's CLE that was the turning point right there and it tied the game not like you gave him a touchdown lead it tied the game kickoff return for the touchdown after that UCF gets their first Big 12 title man that's killer not how
