AND KEEP IN MIND, THE TEMPERATURES ARE TAKEN IN THE SHADE. THERE'S AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING UP FOR THE PHILADELPHIA METRO AREA AND HEAT ADVISORIES EXTEND DOWN THROUGH WASHINGTON, D.C., INTO NORTHERN VIRGINIA AND ALL OF EASTERN VIRGINIA. IT DOES INCLUDE THE I-NINETY-FIVE CORRIDOR. THE HEAT ADVISORIES UNTIL 8 O'CLOCK THIS EVENING. THE HEAT INDEX MAY GET 2 OR A LITTLE BIT ABOVE 105 DEGREES IN SOME AREAS. AND TAKING A LOOK AT OUR FORECAST FOR TODAY. HIGH OF 98. THEY'LL BE CLOSE TO THE RECORD OF 100 FROM 1948, BUT IT IS POSSIBLE WE MAY ACTUALLY TOUCHED 100 DEGREES TODAY. THE NORMALS 86 AND THAT HIGH OF 98 WILL BE THE HIGH TEMPERATURE WE'VE HAD SINCE IT WAS 99 IN EARLY JULY RIGHT AFTER INDEPENDENCE DAY THIS AFTERNOON, THE FEELS LIKE TEMPS AGAIN ABOVE 100 DEGREES IN SOME AREAS ABOVE 105. AND EVEN THIS EVENING AT 8 O'CLOCK, WE'LL SAW THE FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURE ABOUT 90 95 ACROSS A LOT OF CENTRAL VIRGINIA FOR TOMORROW. THE FEELS LIKE TEMPS AGAIN, 100 OR A LITTLE BIT HIGHER WILL BE A FEW DEGREES LOWER IN TERMS OF THE TEMPERATURES POSSESSION BE A LITTLE BIT MORE MUGGY TOMORROW. SO FEELS LIKE TEMPS WILL BE SLIGHTLY LOWER THAN TODAY IN MANY LOCATIONS. BUT STILL WILL BE ANOTHER VERY HOT DAY. AND TAKE A LOOK AT OUR 7 DAY FORECAST TREND. 93 ON THURSDAY. AND THEN WE MAY FAILED TO REACH 90 ON FRIDAY ON SATURDAY. WE'RE BACK UP TO 90 AND THEN WE'RE CERTAIN TO SEE SOME COOLER WEATHER COMING IN FOR THE MIDDLE AND END OF THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. HIGHS BACK DOWN IN THE MID AND UPPER 80'S AND IT LOOKS LIKE TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY WE'LL GET INTO ANOTHER PERIOD OF SOME COOLER, LESS HUMID AIR FOR NEXT WEEK FOR TODAY. THERE MAY BE A FEW POP-UP THUNDERSTORMS IN ONE OR 2 SPOTS. A BETTER CHANCE BE ACROSS NORTHERN VIRGINIA AND THEN GOING INTO TOMORROW. SOME SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE AROUND THE AFTERNOON. BUT THESE THAT ARE MORE NUMEROUS GOING INTO TOMORROW EVENING COULD HAVE SOME REALLY HEAVY DOWNPOURS WITH THIS AND SOME GUSTY WINDS. THOSE MOVE ON OUT WILL STILL THE CHANCE FOR SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE AREA ON FRIDAY. BUT THAT CHANCE RAIN WILL BE A LITTLE BIT LOWER THAN IT WILL BE TOMORROW INTO THIS EVENING. MAY GET A COUPLE STRONG STORMS IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA AND TOMORROW WE CAN'T RULE OUT A FEW STORMS WITH A FEW GUSTY WINDS. SO KEEP AN EYE ON THAT.
