hello and welcome to dnbc live presenting games on the grid on radio show our game of the week Marshall Academy Patriots versus the oakill Raiders it was a great game last night on Friday night I tell you what uh the rain kind of put a damper on things when I say put a damper on thing all it did was really delay the game and the game got started a little late uh there was also a lightning um exhibit took place uh sometime you know in the second quarter causing the game to be delayed again and you know I tell you what I want to do the Marshall academy uh Patriots a a great service you know um we're not going to listen to the game today but we're going to listen to the game tomorrow tomorrow evening at 3:00 p.m. you can tune back in here and listen to the game and I'm going to tell you why because number one we were up really late last night you know um leaving the game late as well as um getting back to our office and trying to put this um audio together and um want to do I want to do the Marshall Academy organization a great service and I tell you why I want to do you a great service not just because we are professionals but because that was one of the greatest experience in my entire life and what am I what am I saying here well I'm saying a couple of things a few things you know there were just some things that really touch my heart some things that really motivated me to want to do my job to want to do it the best I can do it I want to give you guys over there at Marshall Academy I want to give y'all the best editing I've ever done in my life and it's going to take me to take my time and do it the right way you know because of all the rain and the discomfort you know just kind of get trying to get comfortable in the rain you know holding an umbrella and out there on the sideline and you know just trying to do the best job that we could do here at dnbc live but at any rate I want to share these things with you those was a couple of things a few things right that I saw that I want to share with the general public and number one uh but not in no order one of the things that I noticed was that those kids at Marshall Academy motivated me and what do I mean what am I saying that they how did they motivate me well starting with the um the players themselves you know when I pulled up you know the players were in the dressing room room and I'm telling you they were fired up and they was ready to go out there and play some football they didn't care if it was raining they didn't care if it was snowing they wanted to go out there and play some football and you can tell absolutely you can tell and by the time the the game would get started it was still raining it had stopped the lightning but it was still raining and I'm telling you the field itself looked like astr turf but it was grass and one thing I was concerned about was you know just the grass turning into mud and you know just being a mud bath or mud Bowl but I'm telling you that grass that feel you guys over there at Marshall Academy y'all done a wonderful job with that field because that field held up and was great Traction in the rain on grass great traction for the players I saw a couple players slip down you know uh trying to make some Cuts Like number one for Marshall Academy um late in the game slip down you know after reversing all the way back Cross Field running the football I'm I'm telling you I got some great interviews uh with number one number seven number two and um there was another number one 7 2 and number three I better not forget number three but any rate um I tell you what I'm going to give you and share with you some exciting things that happen at the game on Friday night but it won't be today it'll be tomorrow which is Sunday September 1 at 3:00 p.m. right here on dnbc live.com but at any rate I I'm not do talking I'm not through sharing what I experience because it was one of the greatest experien in my life and I'm talking about the cheerleaders when they took the lightning break right before halftime they started lightning and everybody ran off the field but shortly afterwards the cheerleaders came back the cheerleader was they had on rain coats and they was standing on the track and they was all together in Unis and they started cheering so so you know I went down on the track myself on the sideline cuz I said you know I want to get on the field so that I could see better you know because of the rain it kind of had the windows in the Press boot kind of foggy and you know you couldn't it ain't like you get on the outside and start wiping the windows you know so it wasn't a car it was a press box so I had to go down on the field and just kind of you know see how it was going to feel for for me to be down there with an umbrella holding my camera and my record mic to you know do the game so the chilita started chanting we ready we ready we ready and you know was nobody on the field the players were still in the locker room but the cheerleaders was out there in the rain chanting we ready come come on man
