well hello there and welcome folks to another episode of 162 times your daily baseball recap and preview show I'm your host Daniel Turner great to be with you on a Wednesday night we are going to bring you the action from Tuesday night as the Mariners played their second game in a row in Oakland against the Athletics we'll preview game three which is just underway and we'll talk about the scoreboard out of town on Tuesday September 3rd so unfortunately for the fourth straight game the Mariners were walked off by the seller dwellers of the American League West two games by the angels and two games by the Athletics interrupt pardon me the the final game of the Athletics series was just a regular one-run loss but game two of the Angel series was a walk-off home run by Micky monc game one of the Oakland series was a walk-off home run by sh angers and last night in the bottom of the 9th it was Seth Brown singling in JJ blade for the winning run so it was a 3-2 final for the Athletics 61 and 78 fourth in the American League West Mariners one game under 500 now 69 and 70 second in the A out west five hits for the M two runs six hits for the A's three runs pitching Luis Castillo seven Sterling Innings 99 pitches four hits two runs one walk five KS two homers 3.6 y on the season gin for the Athletics went six Innings five hits two runs one walk seven KS 4.3 ra on the season it was Troy Taylor for the Mariners in the eighth 2ks and then Trent thoron gave up the winning run after one out he gave up two hits a run a walk and a strike out eight strikeout for Mariner pitching on the evening 10ks for athletics pitching uh it was Harris 3 and three with a 2.73 ER who took the win for the Athletics how did we get there well scoring top of first Cal Ry doubled in JP Crawford and Julio Rodriguez two- nothing Lawrence Butler homered in the bottom of the first to make it a 2-1 game bottom of four Seth Brown Homer to tie the game and then bottom of nine Seth Brown singling to score JJ blade just brutal but on Wednesday hope somewhat Springs Eternal right we keep playing baseball so Mariners Athletics yet again George Kirby on the bump for the Mariners JP Sears pitching for the Athletics Sears is 11-9 this year with a 4.28 ER 1523 Innings pitched 119 strikeouts 1.20 whip he'll be going up against my man George Kirby the Raja of Ry the wizard of Westchester the 26-year-old is 10 and 10 with a 3.6 ER 163 Innings 157 strikeouts and a 1.11 whip he struggled a bit of late all right in terms of lineups the Mariners are rolling out Crawford at Short Rodriguez in Center Raleigh behind the plate AR R roara in left Turner at first Rob lesing right Garver dhing Aras back in the lineup at third Dylan Moore at second yl Athletics will have Butler Rooker Blade langers Brown gof gray Schuman and Wilson and we hope for the best for our Seattle maners now as we know the Astros were taking a weird game off in the middle of their Series against the Reds so they didn't play on Tuesday night but the Cubs beat the Pirates 122 the Royals beat the Guardians 4-1 the Braves beat the Rockies 5-2 the Mets beat the Red Sox 83 the Rays beat the twins 94 the Marlins beat the Nationals 43 the Reds did beat the Astros 125 okay that's weird but that's great the white socks beat the Orioles 81 phes beat the JS 42 the N backs beat the Giants 2 nothing no this is going on today I'm so sorry I spoiler alert for tomorrow's episode yay Orioles over the white sock 9 nothing on Tuesday Nats over the Marlins 62 Rays over the twins 21 Phillies over the Blue Jays 109 Mets over the Red Sox 7 to2 Braves Over the Rockies 3 guards over the Royals 7 one pirates over the Cubs 5 nothing Dodgers over the Angels 62 and 10 Rangers over the Yankees 74 Cardinals over the Brewers 74 Diamondbacks over the Giants 87 so what's all the more brutal about this is if the Mariners had won these last very winnable games against terrible teams they would have caught like several teams also in a tail spin right now but instead they find themselves six games back of the wild card tonight and six games back in the division so if they win they'll be five games back in the division so let's go George I'm going to turn the game on and watch hope you guys will too thanks for listening bye
