join us here at headingley when rugby is going to meet Rock these guys have their biggest gig ever because we are sticking with that sporting theme yes sir staying with rugby league tonight at headingley the Lee's rhinos take on Castleford Tigers it's their last March of the season and a big night for two young bands who'll be entertaining the crowds ahead of kickoff the teenagers from the Leeds Music School ls18 rocks are just 15 years old but tonight they're playing their very first Stadium gig Beth Parsons is there for us now Beth how are the nerves thank you Amanda I'd say they're doing all right nerve rides actually so it's nearing the end of the Super League season castle for Tigers will be coming here to headingley tonight to take on the Leeds rhinos but they're not just having a little bit of rugby tonight they're having a good old dose of rock as well this is ls18 the teenagers of the group normally they're playing in horsforth sometimes theaters sometimes loose gloves and stuff but today by far the biggest gig I call with them backstage to find out more about how they felt his rehearsal stage before the Big Show here at headingley I'm joined by Tobin now you are not a new member of LSA team by any means you've been doing it for quite a few years why was it something you ought to do uh quite friends and quite a few of my friends were doing it at the time and my mom thought it'd be a good thing for me to do and so I joined and was she right yeah definitely tell me what your band name is and what kind of music uh my band name is flame Spirals and we play uh like some rock a bit of pop that kind of thing well good luck enjoy rocking out on your guitar next up we have Layla what is it that you do Layla I'm the lead vocalist okay have you warmed up already yes yes okay now tell us what you enjoy about being part of LSA team what kind of gifts have you done in the past um I just love the atmosphere really I've done some gigs at the Leeds Playhouse and other venues and stuff and it's just been great fun is this your biggest gig yet yes how are you feeling I'm feeling good I'm really excited well good luck break your leg that's what they say and finally the woman in charge of the Rhythm this is Amber hello hello have you got natural Rhythm or was it something you are to work on I think it sort of As Natural to be there because I've been playing quite a long time okay and how long have you been part of LSAT after two years okay any particular favorite songs that you're playing today probably she's electric by Oasis because we're going to be playing that one today describe the emotions you're a rock star about to go on stage and play the stadium that could fit 19 000 people in it how do you feel really excited not actually nervous but just really excited well best of luck thank you to all of you ls18 officially rocking so the stadium is filling up ready for the rugby and these guys are well and truly warming the audience up you'll hear a bit of Arctic monkeys playing a fellow Yorkshire band why not now if you are looking at this and thinking I wouldn't mind to go with that believe it or not you don't need to start very fluent to an instrument they will take lots of different people they're rehearse in horsefit a lot of the time ls18 up and coming bands I'll let them count you out wow looking fabulous and putting ls18 on the map see what it did there Abby
