[Music] hey what's going on everybody this is the Western Nomad welcome to Cumberland Maryland way out there in the far reaches of Western Maryland well you're looking at the Western Maryland railroad this is uh kind of a touristy thing but look pretty cool apparently this train travels from Cumberland to Frostburg and is about 4 and 1/2 hours and uh they'll uh serve you all sorts of nice food and you'll get to see some of the best scenery in Western Maryland so um I did not ride this train cuz I did not have 4 hours to kill but looks pretty cool and uh it looks like for Coach seats adults are like around $50 and kids $40 so uh might be worth your time but the main traction here is the canal and as you can see right now I'm walking over this nice little Bridge and uh this was a major transport for materials that came from the mines and uh you know wealth that uh brought people out to these far reaches of uh Maryland mountains and transported all this stuff up to Washington DC and the busy cities of the north so that's why the railroad runs through here and the big Canal that um kind of the highlight of the city and uh honestly I thought thought this town was a lot nicer than um I expected it to be uh there's people out riding their bikes um there's farmers market and I just kind of walked around and took it all in and uh there's some really nice churches in this town that you'll see later in this video and uh nice little place you have a couple hours to kill and looks like it's somewhat of a popular place to bike so if you're into cycling this probably really great Place sit back relax and enjoy these uh scenes from appalation [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] w oh [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh oh [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] w [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] he [Music] oh he [Music] a [Music]
