one sharing this sport at the MLB Little League classic in this intimate setting so you got Mexico and Canada getting ready for this one one of four little league games today and the Major Leaguers are watching in because they're the focus they're getting ready for prime time and here they are arriving first the Tigers the Yankees okay what about you moose yeah autographs lots of autographs right anybody in specific uh judge okay Aaron judge moose is coming for you guys back to you yeah I think uh everyone's going to want to see Aaron judge in particular mon sto too and the aforementioned jav bayz with a game on the way and the big Leaguers in town the Little League Baseball World Series on ESPN is presented by T-Mobile swing into the future and experience the best 5G leer someday Antonio Guerrero we saw him pitch in that no hitter for Mexico up to 77 mph which is effectively mid to Upper 90s hey you know he's such a strong part of this team right a lot of athleticism great arm strength and he's so focused when he's out there as well doesn't crack too many Smiles he bounces one to third it stays fair and Raymond dasi throws out Antonio Guerrero and now they're going to say it was foul along third look at the scene there on the right everyone wants to look I mean we had to take ourselves a different route to this broadcast Booth because of how big the lines already are and Here Come the [Applause] Tigers we hope Tim kirchen made it through the bus right we need coordinates on Tim there's the team from Bernie t Texas who's looking like one of the best here at the Little League World Series Guerrero pulls it on a line to left center field and that'll roll all the way to the wall Antonio Guerrero's got a double for this team from Matamoros Mexico putting out a show for the big Leaguers just into town got to love the two- strike approach there right doing a good job of not worrying so much about trying to drive the baseball in an overly aggressive way but did a good job of just staying short with two strikes drove it into the Gap and with his speed him in scoring position is such an advantage for team Mex these players the big league players will talk about how special the moment is for them and to get a break from the monotony of a season team Cuba's taking picture second time we've had Cuba here as a country at the Little League World series and their coaching staff was saying to us the other day every experience they're having right now here at the Little League World Series is new on a hop to Short from Raul Hernandez Jr I mean just one after another just just file in look like Jake Rogers and Kent de MAA were starting to move around ulissi Ortiz drops down a gorgeous bunt and Mexico in this elimination game has the has got a first inning [Applause] lead this another cool thing too on the right side of your screen Javier by is taking pictures with guys from different teams Tigers finding their way figuring out just where to go maybe some of them have their sight set on the hill I'm I'm sure there's going to be some peer pressure that comes along with that from some of the 11 and 12-year-old 3-2 pitch agular fouls it back it doesn't look like Julie's actually driving she's being driven yeah I think it's also being weigh down by by four MAA can we fit two more ninth pitch of the plate appearance and it's a strike out for Blake Anderson and the first out here in the first yeah and this was a tough at bat here kind of going back in fourth and see Blake Anderson ultimately use some of that high heat a little bit of OD first three batters of this game all got hits and now a big league Chopper foul and it's nothing to two on even though there's a team from Florida here he's a Florida guy former fifth overall pick Luis longor in the left field to score rul Hernandez ulsi Ortiz right behind him and Mexico's up three [Applause] nothing first because this a ball down in the zone see moose was getting ready to block it he goes way down to go get that thing ropes it over the short Stop's head you see the the throw there and as soon as he recognized that throw I want you to see this again Longoria recognizing the throw just waiting for a second oh I see a throw I'm booking it the second getting myself in scoring position as well let's go hey encouraging words from Steve [Music] Young Eric is Eric papovich baseball to the major leagues on the ground is short Xavier kabalin makes the play nicely done by then of course you're going to make that throw over there but really good defensive awareness right there from Xavier favorite music favorite artist like all these little eagers do and he said cre gave a little how was his rendition uh it was solid we were in a singing mood up here in the booth Blake Anderson's trying to limit the damage this one is fouled off by Serio Gonzalez center fielder for the Baltimore Orioles a San diean like myself how cool is that said he wanted to get it sign by all the little leakers base hitting the left for Sergio Gonzalez we got to get Adam Jones a big baseball so the little leakers can sign it that's our mission park against his old teammate Manny Machado at center field robbing him was held to just one hit it's been a 32 pitch first out to be knowing that they kind of needed to get the hits going you me yourself some type of cushion line to right and Ry proso makes the play Everyone's Watching including the Major Leaguers the kids they love the swag and that's something that they they associate Javier bayas with a lot of pins going on as well some pin trading anytime you can hold on to some type of memorabilia that remind you of how special it was it's just great like we can see the best person in the world it's great awesome good stuff all right ale and she just mentioned how important this event has been for him just in his own growth as a person for to be able to travel here wow Xavier kabalin foul in right Mexico got three in the top of the first and hit by Chinese Taipei but they saw some of the best pitching that they were going to see here [Applause] Stadium 10th pitch and Exavier kabalin Works a hard earned walk it's on base you got speed now and that three deficit doesn't seem so far apart s and one in the region tournament held in Ontario in the last 3 weeks and trying to do it in comeback the years past for sure I haven't really been paying too much attention this year uh but yeah super excited to be here what's it like sitting next to a big leager it's awesome it's any did he tell you anything any tips not yet not yet what what advice would we give them yeah just to have fun and uh do what you can and um there's no pressure it's just uh go out there and be relaxed and have a good time sounds like some pretty good advice to me guys back up to you it may not even be about baseball that's the cool [Applause] thing have fun that's the the simple advice from the airport to the Little League World Series two and2 with Mexico starting pitcher Raul Hernandez junor facing line foul Hernandez doing a good job of being able to throw that fast ball on both sides of the plate he's got good control today I think that was kind of the priority coming into this game for pitching for Mexico hey let's just command the baseball throw strikes and allow the defense to work we already saw a double play that looks something like something El Mago would do out there on the on the field so we know they got a good defense behind them yeah they flashed it nicely on the 463 earlier this inning rul Hernandez to Eric papovich Line Drive caught at first by Serio Gonzalez little Leaguers and big Leaguers together here at the Little League World Series by is kind enough to join us Javi how are you man what's this like so far pretty good thank you thank you for having me first of all and you know special special to see other kids you know their reaction and social social media was different back in the day so um you know it was it was it was big for for a Pary old like who was your favorite um my favorite was Manny Ramirez he was it was the way he he hit and and the way he he played the game was it was really good to me and eventually got to meet Manny I assume yeah I got to he got to be my my coach in in Triple A yeah and then I came up to the big leaves what was it like being coached by him after You' grown up looking up to him oh yeah it was it was something special um just to to talk to him about hitting and and and approach and and and then to work with him and and it was it was something different now I know you haven't got to see Team Puerto Rico yet we know they're going to be all over you here pretty soon but just what does it mean to have some young players look up to you the way that they do and not just team Puerto Rico but so many and it just really special to to have um big Le players you know close to them struck well in the air to left and a play made out there for the first down well a lot of the Czech Republic Australia and the state of Washington who all chose you among every Major League player you're worldwide that's special man that's special um um Call My Name yeah we've talked to a bunch of of Major Leaguers Through The Years who come here like you guys have this year and they talk about what these playing surfaces are like if you can think about what it would be like to to play on this kind of surface as a 12-year-old and how it compared to where you did play growing up what was that like yeah I think I went to a uh literally in Texas with which which he was pretty pretty cool um but you know the the fields are are really really good you know um if they look like like bigly bigly fields and and you know obviously to have the grass on the infield is it was something different for us so you know it felt it felt really good let me ask you this Javi when you were 11 12 years old what were some of the that kind of pushed me through you know all my all my limits and and and all the practice we talked about the team from Puerto Rico they're from Guama it's a small island that you know everybody can go around in probably like 3 hours or so so um anything that happens over there we we we all know about it so it's really special to to have a a team you know representing Puerto Rico baseball always the focus was that the sport that you were always invested in from day one yeah um you know I try I try to play basketball I didn't know football much more the rules but um I didn't know I didn't know the rules and they didn't let me play either well jav thank you so much for stopping by uh a one two three inning jav appreciate thank you thank you for having me thanks jav keep doing it bro jav arz and the tigers are here at the Little League World Series you got the Major Leaguers here the Tigers will play tonight against the Yankees and they're hanging out with the little Leaguers at the Little League World Series in terms of capacity and when you have all these 12-year-olds sitting there watching it's very different yeah they put the 12-year-olds literally right behind home plate and they get them as close to the field as possible there's no way that the big leaders can't hear them right there when they're on deck or right there in The Dugout you'll get some of those interactions during the game as well from the big leaders and our thanks again to Javier bayz who it's pretty easy to tell is one of the most popular guys around here I mean he always is he's a superstar in the sport but especially here well I think another thing too like these 11 and 12 year olds there's such an emphasis on you know that swag right that that ability to look cool doing certain things and especially from a defensive side the equipment that the guys are wearing and that's what hobby is known for too coming up they that's why they called him ELO the magician being able to make really cool plays defensively he said that was in the commercial break that he hadn't really met team Puerto Rico yet but but they'd already given him a hat a strike out to start the bottom of the second we go to sebie guys no surprise team Cuba has surrounded Andy Ian here who's taken his first action at [Music] Williamsport he says it's beautiful a privilege to be here with the Cuban kids and cheering them on he says he it for years obviously it's different here in person I asked him what was the advice for the kids from Cuba just fight hard fight hard especially for tomorrow's big game he really hopes that they can win the tournament obviously this is just the second time ever that we've had a team from Cuba here 77 years of Little League World Series history get the [Applause] he says it's a great experience obvious obvously for the kids and it's wonderful for them but it's also important for the people back in Cuba to see this and continue to help push these kids forward he says they got a lot of adrenaline they're very fired up they're a very jovial team sorry I'm I'm interviewing him like I'm me they're a very jovial team and uh that they're very fired up obviously as you could hear the back and forth there to win tomorrow he says he's really looking forward to tonight's game he think there's going to be a lot of home runs both for the Tigers and for the Yankees and he think it's going to be a really Splendid scenario there having all the kids right there on top of them for a major league ball game guys back up to you gra thank you fantastic a splendid scenario he's a Wordsmith as well and he's predicting a lot of home runs tonight huh uh man not many home runs being hit off ter scoble I'll tell you that but it's going to be quite the matchup the one thing about Bowman field is the ball does fly you get it out there it'll start going more so toward right and left and not so much toward center field but it's different little different elevation here scoble is leading everyone in ra he's got 253 14 wins if that's your cup of tea and in an All-Star season of course there's one of those big balls chance for some of these players to maybe see a sa young winner the lines are large unlike any other in sports really and we still have the Yankees to come let's not forget that the Yankees plane's probably Landing in about that is a strong collection of autographs it really is he I could tell that kid right there had a online with everybody else you'd leave The Sweet Spot for pH holes leave The Sweet Spot for whoever the big dog is the Texas native going to work here in South William the scenes all right so Eric papovich is the pitcher here for Canada trailing Mexico by three a little bit just a little patience the Yankees to arrive he's one of three guys on Team Mexico he's logo here this week two and one I mean you think I mean it's going to be really cool to see and Carlos Salazar said he's not only excited to meet it's team from Matamoros Mexico it's a walk to begin the third Matamoros is a and D lias just time is that a a towel maybe a t-shirt I don't know what a pitch you are now a Fielder right papovich bouncing off the mound coming getting it barehanding it off the ground that's another one of those Mist tigers are on the Move figure in the middle of a season line drive right field for Antonio Guerrero and it'll score Carlos Salazar Antonio Guerrero is having a big Little League World Series and he adds to the lead well one of the things I love just goes with it check him out it's probably a ball or two off the plate but see how his head stays down on the baseball eyes are on it and finishes through it with the one hand finish got to love that a guy that can use the whole field as a the young ball player crank to right by Raul Hernandez and it's off the wall Antonio Guerrero scores on in Arps a good job of being able to stay back in on an off speed pitch you see this here kind of come in slow check out my man's Barrel just get through that thing perfectly leg kick get it down stay on the off speed Drive it to the pool side and you talk about smashing something that one hops the wall he's helping good pitch right there on the inner half but he's obviously a bright star on this team and someone that the kids look up to but the adjustments to me and the improvements inning by inning are something that the kids are going to continue to learn throughout the course of their young careers right yeah he settled in so nicely in that second he hadit a two-run single on against Puerto Rico
