Donald Trump's Alma Mater, Wharton School, Speaks About Candidate | MSNBC

[Music] very very importantly you look at Philadelphia Pennsylvania I went to school at the Wharton School Pennsylvania big big up so we're doing great in Pennsylvania I went to the great Wharton School of Finance which really is the best school in the world for this but that's okay most people agree hard a school to get into I can tell you but it's one of the great great places I think we're going to do great in Pennsylvania I went to school in Pennsylvania the Wharton School of finance and I think we're going to do fantastically there as we await Donald Trump's rally in Waterberg Connecticut as you can see the bottom of your screen at 10:00 it's no secret as you just heard Donald Trump tting his degree from warton's business school and it's been a staple on the Pennsylvania campaign Trail ahead of Tuesday's primary and while you don't hear Hillary Clinton or Ted Cruz talking about their ivy league degrees often Trump hasn't been shy in professing his love for his Al Mater but is that feeling Mutual msnbc's Jacob Soo is spending Saturday at the University of Pennsylvania's campus in Philly to find out and what have you found out so far is it Mutual Francis can you tell that Donald Trump went to Wharton from what he says at his speeches I think that the answer is yes uh yeah exactly that's why we came out here to the campus of uh upen and actually shockingly I must have been doing something wrong in college because all these people are sitting here actually studying on a Saturday morning no wonder I got such bad grades we came here to talk to the students here at Penn specifically at the Wharton business school about what they think about the front running Republican business business man constantly touting their school as a qualification for becoming the next president of the United States and I think you're going to uh be surprised what they had to say take a look if you ever heard Donald Trump talk on the campaign Trail you've heard him talk about his qualifications as a former Ivy league student particularly here at the Wharton School of Business at upen so we came here to see what the students think about him hey what's your name my name is Miles my brother's name is Miles nice to meet you with a y or I with an i I'm with a y That's okay we're still friends so Miles um you know who else went to Wharton uh many people yeah but a special guy that's running for president on Tuesday Donald Trump Donald Trump yeah does Donald Trump going to Wharton make you want to vote for him anymore since you go to Wharton no not at all do you feel like he's a good representation of whorton no he is not a good representation of whorton why not because whorton has an amazing diverse group of students and people who go here and Donald Trump is not reflective of what really goes on Orton you a Donald Trump fan no how come I'm originally Syrian so I guess you can connect the dots there but like he talks about your school a lot when he talks about running for president how what do you think when he says that kind of stuff like I went to Warden and I'm very smart my mom asked me that question every day what do you mean your mom ask you that question every day yeah she's scared I'm going to turn into him and I'm just like don't what does your what does your mom say to you can you drop out of Wharton I'm just like no because why because he went here because Donald Trump went here and what do you say to your mom don't worry I'm here to make the world better know who else went to Wharton yes I do also know who went to Wharton we I think we all know the answer to that question Donald Jay so I have to clarify I'm an MBA student I believe he was an undergrad here okay so yes you going to vote for Donald Trump I will not be voting for Donald Trump because he doesn't represent my values uh I believe in America where people come together and talk about their problems peacefully and resolve them how do you feel that your school is part of a stump speech he speaks for himself I do not believe that he speaks for Wharton so you go to school here at Wharton yeah you know who else went to Wharton who Donald J Trump yeah I don't care he talks about it all the time he says I went to Warden I went to an Ivy League school it's like you should vote for me a president cuz I went to Warden I mean he also has his first small loan from his father for her a million dollars so I don't know what to say about that either so you don't no I'm not going to vote for him either I'm going vote for Bernie so in my brief time on the campus here at upen talking to Warden students I did honestly did not find anybody that wanted to support Donald Trump that went to the business school In fairness to Donald Trump he probably doesn't need Warden students in order to win the nomination or at least the the Pennsylvania uh primary here on Tuesday he is cleaning up right now in the polls here and we'll see what happens on Tuesday maybe they're more Ivanka fans and she graduated from there I think suot even there so maybe you'll have more luck finding Ivanka fans MSNBC Jacob so hey what's up guys I'm Jacob soov thank you so
